עביד לך תרתין חצוצרן דכסף נגיד תעבד יתהון ויהוין לך לערעא כנשתא ולאטלא ית משריתא:

“Make two trumpets of silver. You shall make them of beaten work. You shall use them for the calling of the congregation and for the journeying of the camps.

ויתקעון בהן ויזדמנון לותך כל כנשתא לתרע משכן זמנא:
wythqewn bhn wyzdmnwn lwthk kl knshtha lthre mshkn zmna
When they blow them, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

ואם בחדא יתקעון ויזדמנון לותך רברביא רישי אלפיא דישראל:
wam bkhda ythqewn wyzdmnwn lwthk rbrbya ryshy alpya dyshral
If they blow just one, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves to you.

ותתקעון יבבתא ויטלון משריתא דשרן קדומא:
wththqewn ybbtha wyTlwn mshrytha dshrn qdwma
When you blow an alarm, the camps that lie on the east side shall go forward.

ותתקעון יבבתא תנינות ויטלון משריתא דשרן דרומא יבבא יתקעון למטלניהון:
wththqewn ybbtha thnynwth wyTlwn mshrytha dshrn drwma ybba ythqewn lmTlnyhwn
When you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lie on the south side shall go forward. They shall blow an alarm for their journeys.

ובמכנש ית קהלא תתקעון ולא תיבבון:
wbmknsh yth qhla ththqewn wla thybbwn
But when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not sound an alarm.

ובני אהרן כהניא יתקעון בחצוצרתא ויהוין לכון לקים עלם לדריכון:
wbny ahrn khnya ythqewn bkhtswtsrtha wyhwyn lkwn lqym elm ldrykwn
“The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets. This shall be to you for a statute forever throughout your generations.

וארי תעלון לאגחא קרבא בארעכון על מעיקי דמעיקין לכון ותיבבון בחצוצרתא וייעול דוכרניכון לטבא קדם יי אלהכון ותתפרקון מסנאיכון:
wary thelwn lagkha qrba barekwn el meyqy dmeyqyn lkwn wthybbwn bkhtswtsrtha wyyewl dwkrnykwn lTba qdm yy alhkwn wththprqwn msnaykwn
When you go to war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets. Then you will be remembered before Yahweh your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.

וביום חדותכון ובמועדיכון וברישי ירחיכון ותתקעון בחצוצרתא על עלותכון ועל נכסת קודשיכון ויהוין לכון לדוכרנא קדם אלהכון אנא יי אלהכון:
wbywm khdwthkwn wbmwedykwn wbryshy yrkhykwn wththqewn bkhtswtsrtha el elwthkwn wel nksth qwdshykwn wyhwyn lkwn ldwkrna qdm alhkwn ana yy alhkwn
“Also in the day of your gladness, and in your set feasts, and in the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God. I am Yahweh your God.”

והוה בשתא תניתא בירחא תנינא בעשרין לירחא אסתלק עננא מעלוי משכנא דסהדותא:
whwh bshtha thnytha byrkha thnyna beshryn lyrkha asthlq enna melwy mshkna dshdwtha
In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the covenant.

ונטלו בני ישראל למטלניהון ממדברא דסיני ושרא עננא במדברא דפארן:
wnTlw bny yshral lmTlnyhwn mmdbra dsyny wshra enna bmdbra dparn
The children of Israel went forward on their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud stayed in the wilderness of Paran.

ונטלו בקדמיתא על מימרא דיי בידא דמשה:
wnTlw bqdmytha el mymra dyy byda dmshh
They first went forward according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.

ונטל טקס משרית בני יהודה בקדמיתא לחיליהון ועל חיליה נחשון בר עמינדב:
wnTl Tqs mshryth bny yhwdh bqdmytha lkhylyhwn wel khylyh nkhshwn br emyndb
First, the standard of the camp of the children of Judah went forward according to their armies. Nahshon the son of Amminadab was over his army.

ועל חילא דשבטא דבני יששכר נתנאל בר צוער:
wel khyla dshbTa dbny yshshkr nthnal br tswer
Nethanel the son of Zuar was over the army of the tribe of the children of Issachar.

ועל חילא דשבטא דבני זבולן אליאב בר חלון:
wel khyla dshbTa dbny zbwln alyab br khlwn
Eliab the son of Helon was over the army of the tribe of the children of Zebulun.

ומתפרק משכנא ונטלין בני גרשון ובני מררי נטלי משכנא:
wmthprq mshkna wnTlyn bny grshwn wbny mrry nTly mshkna
The tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who bore the tabernacle, went forward.

ונטל טקס משרית ראובן לחיליהון ועל חיליה אליצור בר שדיאור:
wnTl Tqs mshryth rawbn lkhylyhwn wel khylyh alytswr br shdyawr
The standard of the camp of Reuben went forward according to their armies. Elizur the son of Shedeur was over his army.

ועל חילא דשבטא דבני שמעון שלמיאל בר צורישדי:
wel khyla dshbTa dbny shmewn shlmyal br tswryshdy
Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai was over the army of the tribe of the children of Simeon.

ועל חילא דשבטא דבני גד אליסף בר דעואל:
wel khyla dshbTa dbny gd alysp br dewal
Eliasaph the son of Deuel was over the army of the tribe of the children of Gad.

ונטלין בני קהת נטלי מקדשא ומקימין ית משכנא עד מיתיהון:
wnTlyn bny qhth nTly mqdsha wmqymyn yth mshkna ed mythyhwn
The Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary. The others set up the tabernacle before they arrived.

ונטל טקס משרית בני אפרים לחיליהון ועל חיליה אלישמע בר עמיהוד:
wnTl Tqs mshryth bny aprym lkhylyhwn wel khylyh alyshme br emyhwd
The standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies. Elishama the son of Ammihud was over his army.

ועל חילא דשבטא דבני מנשה גמליאל בר פדהצור:
wel khyla dshbTa dbny mnshh gmlyal br pdhtswr
Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur was over the army of the tribe of the children of Manasseh.

ועל חילא דשבטא דבני בנימן אבידן בר גדעוני:
wel khyla dshbTa dbny bnymn abydn br gdewny
Abidan the son of Gideoni was over the army of the tribe of the children of Benjamin.

ונטל טקס משרית בני דן מכניש לכל משריתא לחיליהון ועל חיליה אחיעזר בר עמישדי:
wnTl Tqs mshryth bny dn mknysh lkl mshrytha lkhylyhwn wel khylyh akhyezr br emyshdy
The standard of the camp of the children of Dan, which was the rear guard of all the camps, set forward according to their armies. Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai was over his army.

ועל חילא דשבטא דבני אשר פגעיאל בר עכרן:
wel khyla dshbTa dbny ashr pgeyal br ekrn
Pagiel the son of Ochran was over the army of the tribe of the children of Asher.
27
ועל חילא דשבטא דבני נפתלי אחירע בר עינן:
wel khyla dshbTa dbny npthly akhyre br eynn
Ahira the son of Enan was over the army of the tribe of the children of Naphtali.

אלין מטלני בני ישראל לחיליהון ונטלו:
alyn mTlny bny yshral lkhylyhwn wnTlw
Thus were the travels of the children of Israel according to their armies; and they went forward.

ואמר משה לחבב בר רעואל מדינאה חמוהי דמשה נטלין אנחנא לאתרא די אמר יי יתיה אתן לכון איתא עמנא ונוטיב לך ארי יי מליל לאיתאה טבא על ישראל:
wamr mshh lkhbb br rewal mdynah khmwhy dmshh nTlyn ankhna lathra dy amr yy ythyh athn lkwn aytha emna wnwTyb lk ary yy mlyl laythah Tba el yshral
Moses said to Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “We are journeying to the place of which Yahweh said, ‘I will give it to you.’ Come with us, and we will treat you well; for Yahweh has spoken good concerning Israel.”

ואמר ליה לא אזל אלהן לארעי ולילדותי אזל:
wamr lyh la azl alhn larey wlyldwthy azl
He said to him, “I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my relatives.”
31
ואמר לא כען תשבוק יתנא ארי על כן ידעת כד הוינא שרן במדברא וגבורן דאתעבידן לנא חזיתא בעיניך:
wamr la ken thshbwq ythna ary el kn ydeth kd hwyna shrn bmdbra wgbwrn dathebydn lna khzytha beynyk
Moses said, “Don’t leave us, please; because you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes.

ויהי ארי תזל עמנא ויהי טבא ההוא די יוטיב יי עמנא ונוטיב לך:
wyhy ary thzl emna wyhy Tba hhwa dy ywTyb yy emna wnwTyb lk
It shall be, if you go with us—yes, it shall be—that whatever good Yahweh does to us, we will do the same to you.”

ונטלו מטורא דאתגלי עלוהי יקרא דיי מהלך תלתא יומין וארון קימא דיי נטל קדמיהון מהלך תלתא יומין לאתקנאה להון אתר בית מישרי:
wnTlw mTwra dathgly elwhy yqra dyy mhlk thltha ywmyn warwn qyma dyy nTl qdmyhwn mhlk thltha ywmyn lathqnah lhwn athr byth myshry
They set forward from the Mount of Yahweh three days’ journey. The ark of Yahweh’s covenant went before them three days’ journey, to seek out a resting place for them.

וענן יקרא דיי מטיל עליהון ביממא במטלהון מן משריתא:
wenn yqra dyy mTyl elyhwn bymma bmTlhwn mn mshrytha
The cloud of Yahweh was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.

והוה במטל ארונא ואמר משה אתגלי יי ויתבדרון סנאיך ויערקון בעלי דבבך מן קדמך:
whwh bmTl arwna wamr mshh athgly yy wythbdrwn snayk wyerqwn bely dbbk mn qdmk
When the ark went forward, Moses said, “Rise up, Yahweh, and let your enemies be scattered! Let those who hate you flee before you!”

ובמשרוהי אמר תוב יי שרי ביקרך בגו רבות אלפיא דישראל:
wbmshrwhy amr thwb yy shry byqrk bgw rbwth alpya dyshral
When it rested, he said, “Return, Yahweh, to the ten thousands of the thousands of Israel.”
