ܘܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܐܪܒܥܐ ܘܥܣܪܝܢ ܒܗ ܒܝܪܚܐ ܗܢܐ ܐܬܟܢܫܘ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܒܨܘܡܐ ܘܒܣ̈ܩܐ ܘܐܪܡܝܘ ܩܛܡܐ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ
elyhwn qTm' w'rmyw wbsq' btswm' 'ysryl bny 'thknshw hn' byrkh' bh wesryn d'rbe' wbywm'
Now in the twenty-fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, with sackcloth, and dirt on them.

ܘܐܬܦܪܫ ܙܪܥܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܢ ܟܘܠܗܘܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܘܩܡܘ ܘܐܘܕܝܘ ܥܠ ܚܛܗܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܘܥܠ ܚܛܗ̈ܐ ܕܐܒܗܝ̈ܗܘܢ
d'bhyhwn khTh' wel khThyhwn el w'wdyw wqmw emm' kwlhwn mn d'ysryl zre' w'thprsh
The offspring of Israel separated themselves from all foreigners and stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.

ܘܩܡܘ ܥܠ ܕܘܟܬܗܘܢ ܘܩ̇ܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܟܬܒܐ ܕܢܡܘܣܐ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܗܘܢ ܪܘܒܥܗ ܕܝܘܡܐ ܩܪܝܢ ܘܪܘܒܥܗ ܕܝܘܡܐ ܡܘܕܝܢ ܘܣ̇ܓܕܝܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܗܘܢ
'lhhwn mry' qdm wsgdyn mwdyn dywm' wrwbeh qryn dywm' rwbeh 'lhhwn dmry' dnmws' bkthb' hww wqryn dwkthhwn el wqmw
They stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of Yahweh their God a fourth part of the day; and a fourth part they confessed and worshiped Yahweh their God.

ܘܩܡܘ ܪܫܐ ܥܠ ܠܘܝ̈ܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܩܕܡܐܝܠ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܚܫܒܝܐ ܘܫܪܒܝܐ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܟܒܢܝ ܘܨ̇ܠܝܘ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܗܘܢ ܒܩܠܐ ܪܡܐ

Then Jeshua, Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani of the Levites stood up on the stairs, and cried with a loud voice to Yahweh their God.

ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܘܝ̈ܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܩܕܡܐܝܠ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܚܫܒܝܐ ܘܫܪܒܝܐ ܘܗܘܕܝܐ ܘܫܟܢܝܐ ܘܦܬܚܝܐ ܩܡܘ ܘܒ̇ܪܟܘ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܥܠܡ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܘܒܪܝܟ ܫܡܐ ܕܐܝܩܪܗ ܘܡܪܡܪܡ ܥܠ ܟܘܠ ܒܪ̈ܝܬܐ ܘܬܫܒ̈ܚܬܐ

Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, “Stand up and bless Yahweh your God from everlasting to everlasting! Blessed be your glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise!

ܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܠܚܘܕܝܟ ܐܢܬ ܥܒܕ̣ܬ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܫܡܝ̈ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܟܠ ܚܝܠܘ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܘܐܪܥܐ ܘܟܘܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܝܬ ܥܠܝܗ̇ ܘܡܝ̈ܐ ܘܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܗܘܢ ܘܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܕܡܚܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܘܚܝ̈ܠܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܠܟ ܗܘ ܣ̇ܓܕܝܢ
sgdyn hw lk dshmy' wkhylwth' lklhwn dmkh' hw w'nth bhwn d'yth mdm wkl wmy' elyh d'yth mdm wkwl w're' khylwthhwn wkl shmy' wshmy shmy' ebdth 'nth blkhwdyk mry' hw 'nth
You are Yahweh, even you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their army, the earth and all things that are on it, the seas and all that is in them, and you preserve them all. The army of heaven worships you.

ܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܓܒܝ̣ܬ ܠܐܒܪܡ ܘܐܦܩܬܝܗܝ ܡܢ ܐܘܪ ܕܟܠܕܝ̈ܐ ܘܫܚܠܦ̣ܬ ܫܡܗ ܐܒܪܗܡ
'brhm shmh wshkhlpth dkldy' 'wr mn w'pqthyhy l'brm dgbyth 'lh' mry' hw 'nth
You are Yahweh, the God who chose Abram, brought him out of Ur of the Chaldees, gave him the name of Abraham,

ܘܐܫܟܚ̣ܬ ܠܒܗ ܕܟܐ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܘܝܡܝ̣ܬ ܠܗ ܡܘܡ̈ܬܐ ܠܡܬܠ ܠܗ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܟܢܥܢܝ̈ܐ ܘܕܚ̈ܬܝܐ ܘܕܐܡܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܘܕܦܪ̈ܙܝܐ ܘܕܚܘܝ̈ܐ ܘܕܝܒܘܣܝ̈ܐ ܘܕܓܪ̈ܓܘܣܝܐ ܠܡܬܠ ܠܙܪܥܗ ܘܐܫܪܬ ܡ̈ܠܝܟ ܥܡܗ ܡܛܠ ܕܙܕܝܩ ܐܢܬ
'nth dzdyq mTl emh mlyk w'shrth lzreh lmthl wdgrgwsy' wdybwsy' wdkhwy' wdprzy' wd'mwry' wdkhthy' dkneny' 're' lh lmthl mwmth' lh wymyth qdmyk dk' lbh w'shkkhth
found his heart faithful before you, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite, to give it to his offspring, and have performed your words, for you are righteous.

ܘܚܙܝ̣ܬ ܫܘܥܒܕܐ ܕܐܒ̈ܗܝܢ ܕܒܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܫܡܥ̣ܬ ܝܠܠܬܗܘܢ ܥܠ ܝܡܐ ܕܣܘܦ
dswp ym' el yllthhwn wshmeth dbmtsryn d'bhyn shwebd' wkhzyth
“You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their cry by the Red Sea,

ܘܥܒܕ̣ܬ ܐܬܘ̈ܬܐ ܘܬܕܡܪ̈ܬܐ ܒܦܪܥܘܢ ܘܒܟܠܗ ܚܝܠܗ ܘܒܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܕܐܪܥܗ ܡܛܠ ܕܝܕܥ̣ܬ ܕܐܥܠܝܘ ܒܗܘܢ ܒܥܡܟ ܘܥܒܕ̣ܬ ܠܟ ܫܡܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܝܘܡܢܐ
dywmn' 'yk shm' lk webdth bemk bhwn d'elyw dydeth mTl d'reh em' wbklh khylh wbklh bprewn wthdmrth' 'thwth' webdth
and showed signs and wonders against Pharaoh, against all his servants, and against all the people of his land, for you knew that they dealt proudly against them, and made a name for yourself, as it is today.

ܘܝܡܐ ܬܪܥ̣ܬ ܩܕܡܝܗܘܢ ܘܥܒܪܘ ܒܓܘ ܝܡܐ ܒܝܒܫܐ ܘܠܪ̈ܕܘܦܝܗܘܢ ܛܒܥ̣ܬ ܒܥܘܡ̈ܩܘܗܝ ܕܝܡܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܛܒܥܐ ܟܐܦܐ ܒܡܝ̈ܐ ܥܫܝ̈ܢܐ
eshyn' bmy' k'p' dTbe' 'yk dym' bewmqwhy Tbeth wlrdwpyhwn bybsh' ym' bgw webrw qdmyhwn threth wym'
You divided the sea before them, so that they went through the middle of the sea on the dry land; and you cast their pursuers into the depths, as a stone into the mighty waters.

ܘܒܥܡܘܕܐ ܕܥܢܢܐ ܕܒܪ̣ܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܐܝܡܡܐ ܘܒܐܣܛܘܢܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܒܠܠܝܐ ܠܡܢܗܪܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܠܡܗܠܟܘ ܒܗ̇
bh lmhlkw 'wrkh' lhwn lmnhrw blly' dnwr' wb'sTwn' b'ymm' 'nwn dbrth denn' wbemwd'
Moreover, in a pillar of cloud you led them by day; and in a pillar of fire by night, to give them light in the way in which they should go.

ܘܥܠ ܛܘܪܐ ܕܣܝܢܝ ܢܚܬ̣ܬ ܘܡܠܠ̣ܬ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܝܗܒ̣ܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܝ̣̈ܢܐ ܬܪ̈ܝܨܐ ܘܢܡ̈ܘܣܐ ܕܫܪܪܐ ܘܩܝ̈ܡܐ ܘܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܐ ܕܛܒܝܢ
dTbyn wpwqdn' wqym' dshrr' wnmws' thryts' dyn' lhwn wyhbth shmy' mn emhwn wmllth nkhthth dsyny Twr' wel
“You also came down on Mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments,

ܘܫܒܬܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܟ ܐܘܕܥ̣ܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܐ ܘܩܝ̈ܡܐ ܘܢܡ̈ܘܣܐ ܕܦܩܕ̣ܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܡܘܫܐ ܥܒ̣ܕܟ
ebdk dmwsh' b'yd' 'nwn dpqdth wnmws' wqym' wpwqdn' 'nwn 'wdeth dqwdshk wshbth'
and made known to them your holy Sabbath, and commanded them commandments, statutes, and a law, by Moses your servant,

ܠܚܡܐ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܝܗܒ̣ܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܟܦܢܗܘܢ ܘܡܝ̈ܐ ܡܢ ܟܐܦܐ ܝܗܒ̣ܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܨܗܝܗܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ̣ܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܡܥܠ ܘܠܡܐܪܬ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܐܬܩܢܬ ܐܝܕܟ ܠܡܬܠ ܠܗܘܢ
lhwn lmthl 'ydk d'thqnth 're' wlm'rth lmel lhwn w'mrth ltshyhwn lhwn yhbth k'p' mn wmy' lkpnhwn lhwn yhbth shmy' mn lkhm'
and gave them bread from the sky for their hunger, and brought water out of the rock for them for their thirst, and commanded them that they should go in to possess the land which you had sworn to give them.

ܗ̣ܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܘܐܒܗܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܐܥܠܝܘ ܘܩܫܝܘ ܩܕܠܗܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܫ̣ܡܥܘ ܠܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܝܟ
lpwqdnyk shmew wl' qdlhwn wqshyw 'elyw w'bhyhwn dyn hnwn
“But they and our fathers behaved proudly, hardened their neck, didn’t listen to your commandments,

ܘܠܐ ܨܒܘ ܠܡܫܡܥ ܘܠܐ ܐܬܕܟܪܘ ܬܕܡܪ̈ܬܟ ܕܥܒܕ̣ܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܗ̣ܦܟ ܠܒܗܘܢ ܠܥܒ̇ܕܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܒܝ̈ܫܐ ܘܐܢܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܫܒܘܩܐ ܘܪܚܡܬܢܐ ܘܚܢܢܐ ܪܚܝܩ ܪܘܓܙܐ ܘܩܪܝܒ ܒܥܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܫܒܩ̣ܬ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn shbqth l' bewth' wqryb rwgz' rkhyq wkhnn' wrkhmthn' shbwq' 'lh' w'nth bysh' lebdyhwn lbhwn whpk lhwn debdth thdmrthk 'thdkrw wl' lmshme tsbw wl'
and refused to obey. They weren’t mindful of your wonders that you did among them, but hardened their neck, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage. But you are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and didn’t forsake them.

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܢܘܢ ܥ̣ܒܕܘ ܥܓܠܐ ܕܢܣܟܬܐ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܗܢܘ ܐܠܗܟ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܐܣܩܟ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܥ̣ܒܕܘ ܒܝ̈ܫܬܐ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܬܐ
rwrbth' byshth' webdw dmtsryn 're' mn d'sqk 'ysryl 'lhk hnw w'mryn dnskth' egl' ebdw dhnwn mTl
Yes, when they had made themselves a molded calf, and said, ‘This is your God who brought you up out of Egypt,’ and had committed awful blasphemies,

ܘܐܢܬ ܒܪ̈ܚܡܝܟ ܣܓܝ̈ܐܐ ܠܐ ܫܒܩ̣ܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܘܥܡܘܕܐ ܕܥܢܢܐ ܠܐ ܥ̣ܒܪ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܒܐܝܡܡܐ ܠܡܕܒܪܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܐܘܪܚܐ ܘܐܣܛܘܢܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܒܠܠܝܐ ܠܡܢܗܪܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܢܐܙܠܘܢ ܒܗ̇
bh dn'zlwn 'wrkh' lhwn lmnhrw blly' dnwr' w'sTwn' b'wrkh' 'nwn lmdbrw b'ymm' mnhwn ebr l' denn' wemwd' bmdbr' 'nwn shbqth l' sgy'' brkhmyk w'nth
yet you in your manifold mercies didn’t forsake them in the wilderness. The pillar of cloud didn’t depart from over them by day, to lead them in the way; neither did the pillar of fire by night, to show them light, and the way in which they should go.

ܘܪܘܚܟ ܛܒܬܐ ܝܗܒ̣ܬ ܠܡܠܦܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܡܢܢܐ ܠܐ ܟܠܝ̣ܬ ܡܢ ܦܘܡܗܘܢ ܘܡܝ̈ܐ ܝܗܒ̣ܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܨܗܝܗܘܢ
ltshyhwn lhwn yhbth wmy' pwmhwn mn klyth l' wmnn' 'nwn lmlpw yhbth Tbth' wrwkhk
You gave also your good Spirit to instruct them, and didn’t withhold your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst.

ܘܐܪܒܥܝܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܢ ܡܕܡ ܠܐ ܚܣܪ̣ܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܢܚܬܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܒܠܝܘ ܘܡܣܢܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܐܬܒܙܥܘ
'thbzew l' wmsnyhwn blyw l' nkhthyhwn bmdbr' lhwn khsrth l' mdm shnyn w'rbeyn
“Yes, forty years you sustained them in the wilderness. They lacked nothing. Their clothes didn’t grow old, and their feet didn’t swell.

ܘܝܗܒ̣ܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܠܟܘ̈ܬܐ ܕܥܡܡ̈ܐ ܘܦܠܓ̣ܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܪܝܫ ܐܢܫ ܘܝܪܬܘ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܣܝܚܘܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡ̇ܠܟܐ ܕܚܫܒܘܢ ܘܐܪܥܐ ܕܥ̣ܘܓ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܒܝܫܘܢ

Moreover you gave them kingdoms and peoples, which you allotted according to their portions. So they possessed the land of Sihon, even the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan.

ܘܒܢܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܐܣܓܝ̣ܬ ܐܝܟ ܟܘܟܒ̈ܐ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ ܘܐܥܠ̣ܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܕܐܡ̣ܪܬ ܠܐܒܗܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܠܡܥܠ ܠܗ̇ ܠܡܐܪܬܗ̇
lm'rthh lh lmel l'bhyhwn d'mrth l're' 'nwn w'elth dbshmy' kwkb' 'yk 'sgyth wbnyhwn
You also multiplied their children as the stars of the sky, and brought them into the land concerning which you said to their fathers that they should go in to possess it.

ܘܥܠܘ ܒܢܝ̈ܐ ܘܝܪܬܘ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܬܒܪ̣ܬ ܩܕܡܝܗܘܢ ܥܡܘܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܕܟܢܥܢܝ̈ܐ ܘܐܫܠܡ̣ܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܐܝܕܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܠܡ̈ܠܟܝܗܘܢ ܘܠܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܒܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܨܒܝܢܗܘܢ
tsbynhwn 'yk bhwn lmebd d're' wlemm' wlmlkyhwn lhwn b'ydyhwn 'nwn w'shlmth dkneny' d're' emwryh qdmyhwn wthbrth 're' wyrthw bny' welw
“So the children went in and possessed the land; and you subdued before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gave them into their hands, with their kings and the peoples of the land, that they might do with them as they pleased.

ܘܐܚܕܘ ܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܬܩܝ̈ܦܬܐ ܘܐܪܥܐ ܫܡܝܢܬܐ ܘܝܪܬܘ ܒ̈ܬܐ ܕܡ̣ܠܝܢ ܟܘܠܗܝܢ ܛܒ̈ܬܐ ܘܓܘ̈ܒܐ ܚܦܝܪ̈ܐ ܘܟܪ̈ܡܐ ܘܙܝ̈ܬܐ ܘܐܝ̈ܠܢܐ ܕܡܐܟ̈ܠܬܐ ܣܓܝ̈ܐܬܐ ܘܐ̣ܟܠܘ ܘܣ̣ܒܥܘ ܘܫ̣ܡܢܘ ܘܐܬܦܢܩܘ ܒܛܘܒܟ ܪܒܐ

They took fortified cities and a rich land, and possessed houses full of all good things, cisterns dug out, vineyards, olive groves, and fruit trees in abundance. So they ate, were filled, became fat, and delighted themselves in your great goodness.

ܘܗ̣ܦܟܘ ܘܕܓܠܘ ܒܟ ܘܫܕܐܘܗܝ ܠܢܡܘܣܟ ܠܒܪ ܡܢ ܬܪ̈ܥܝܬܗܘܢ ܘܠܢܒ̈ܝܝܟ ܩ̇ܛܠܘ ܥܠ ܕܐܡܪܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܡܗܦܟ ܠܘܬܟ ܘܥ̣ܒܕܘ ܒܝ̈ܫܬܐ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܬܐ

“Nevertheless they were disobedient and rebelled against you, cast your law behind their back, killed your prophets that testified against them to turn them again to you, and they committed awful blasphemies.

ܘܐܫܠܡ̣ܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܐܝܕ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܘܐܥܝܩܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܒܥܕܢܐ ܕܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܒܥܘ ܡܢܟ ܘܫܡܥ̣ܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܪ̈ܚܡܝܟ ܣܓܝ̈ܐܐ ܘܐܩܝܡ̣ܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܦܪ̈ܘܩܐ ܘܦܪܩܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܐܠܘܨܝ̈ܗܘܢ

Therefore you delivered them into the hand of their adversaries, who distressed them. In the time of their trouble, when they cried to you, you heard from heaven; and according to your manifold mercies you gave them saviors who saved them out of the hands of their adversaries.

ܘܟܕ ܐܪܘܚ̣ܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܗ̣ܦܟܘ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܕܣ̣ܢܐ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܘܫܒܩ̣ܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܐܝܕ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܘܫܥܒܕܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܗ̣ܦܟܘ ܘܨ̇ܠܝܘ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܘܐܢܬ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܫܡܥ̣ܬ ܘܦܪܩ̣ܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܟܠ ܙܒܢ ܐܝܟ ܣܘܓܐܬ ܪ̈ܚܡܝܟ

But after they had rest, they did evil again before you; therefore you left them in the hands of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them; yet when they returned and cried to you, you heard from heaven; and many times you delivered them according to your mercies,

ܘܐܣܗ̣ܕܬ ܒܗܘܢ ܠܡܗܦܟܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܢܡܘܣܝ̈ܟ ܘܗܢܘܢ ܐܥܠܝܘ ܘܠܐ ܫ̣ܡܥܘ ܠܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܝܟ ܘܒܕܝ̣̈ܢܝܟ ܚܛܘ ܒܗܘܢ ܕܐܢ ܥܒ̇ܕ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܚ̇ܝܐ ܒܗܘܢ ܘܥ̣ܒܕܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܟܬܦܐ ܡܪܘܕܬܐ ܘܩܕܠܗܘܢ ܩܫܝܘ ܘܠܐ ܫ̣ܡܥܘ
shmew wl' qshyw wqdlhwn mrwdth' kthp' lhwn webdw bhwn khy' brnsh' lhwn ebd d'n bhwn khTw wbdynyk lpwqdnyk shmew wl' 'elyw whnwn lnmwsyk 'nwn lmhpkw bhwn w'shdth
and testified against them, that you might bring them again to your law. Yet they were arrogant, and didn’t listen to your commandments, but sinned against your ordinances (which if a man does, he shall live in them), turned their backs, stiffened their neck, and would not hear.

ܘܐܟܪܙ̣ܬ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܫܢܝ̈ܐ ܣܓܝ̈ܐܬܐ ܘܐܣܗ̣ܕܬ ܒܗܘܢ ܒܪܘܚܟ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܢܒܝ̈ܝܟ ܘܠܐ ܫ̣ܡܥܘ ܘܐܫܠܡ̣ܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܕܡܕܝ̈ܢܬܐ
dmdynth' demm' b'yd' 'nwn w'shlmth shmew wl' dnbyyk b'yd' brwkhk bhwn w'shdth sgy'th' shny' elyhwn w'krzth
Yet many years you put up with them, and testified against them by your Spirit through your prophets. Yet they would not listen. Therefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.

ܘܡܛܠ ܪ̈ܚܡܝܟ ܣܓܝ̈ܐܐ ܠܐ ܐܘܒ̣ܕܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܫܒܩ̣ܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܛܘܠ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܢܬ ܚܢܢܐ ܘܪܚܡܬܢܐ

“Nevertheless in your manifold mercies you didn’t make a full end of them, nor forsake them; for you are a gracious and merciful God.

ܡܟܝܠ ܐܠܗܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܓܢܒܪܐ ܘܕܚܝܠܐ ܢ̇ܛܪ ܡܘܡ̈ܬܐ ܘܫܪܪܐ ܠܐ ܢܬܟܣܐ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܟܠܗ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܥܠܝܢ ܘܥܠ ܡ̈ܠܟܝܢ ܘܥܠ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܢܝܢ ܘܥܠ ܟܘܡܪ̈ܝܢ ܘܥܠ ܢܒܝ̈ܝܢ ܘܥܠ ܐܒܗ̈ܝܢ ܘܥܠ ܟܘܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܡܢ ܝܘܡ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܕܐܬܘܪ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ

Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness, don’t let all the travail seem little before you that has come on us, on our kings, on our princes, on our priests, on our prophets, on our fathers, and on all your people, since the time of the kings of Assyria to this day.

ܘܐܢܬ ܙܕܝܩ ܥܠ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܕܐ̣ܬܐ ܥܠܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܩܘܫܬܐ ܐܢܬ ܓܝܪ ܘܚܢܢ ܐܥܠܝܢܢ
'elynn wkhnn gyr 'nth dbqwshth' mTl elyn d'th' klmdm el zdyq w'nth
However you are just in all that has come on us; for you have dealt truly, but we have done wickedly.

ܘܡ̈ܠܟܝܢ ܘܪ̈ܘܪܒܢܝܢ ܘܟܘܡܪ̈ܝܢ ܘܐܒܗ̈ܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܥ̣ܒܕܘ ܢܡܘܣܟ ܘܠܐ ܨܬܘ ܠܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܝܟ ܘܠܣܗ̈ܕܘܬܟ ܕܐܣ̣ܗܕܬ ܒܗܘܢ
bhwn d'shdth wlshdwthk lpwqdnyk tsthw wl' nmwsk ebdw wl' w'bhyn wkwmryn wrwrbnyn wmlkyn
Also our kings, our princes, our priests, and our fathers have not kept your law, nor listened to your commandments and your testimonies with which you testified against them.

ܘܟ̣ܦܪܘ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܟ ܘܒܛܘܒܟ ܪܒܐ ܕܝܗ̣ܒܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܘܫܡܝܢܬܐ ܕܝܗܒ̣ܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܦܠܚܘܟ ܘܠܐ ܗ̣ܦܟܘ ܡܢ ܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܝܗܘܢ ܒܝ̈ܫܐ
bysh' ebdyhwn mn hpkw wl' plkhwk wl' lhwn dyhbth wshmynth' Tbth' b're' lhwn dyhbth rb' wbTwbk bmlkwthk wkprw
For they have not served you in their kingdom, and in your great goodness that you gave them, and in the large and rich land which you gave before them. They didn’t turn from their wicked works.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܚܢܢ ܝܘܡܢܐ ܥܒ̣̈ܕܐ ܘܐܪܥܐ ܕܝܗܒ̣ܬ ܠܐܒܗ̈ܝܢ ܠܡܐܟܠ ܐܒܗ̇ ܘܛܘܒܗ̇ ܗܐ ܚܢܢ ܐܝܟ ܥ̣ܒ̈ܕܐ ܦܠܚܝܢ ܒܗ̇ ܒܓܘܗ̇

“Behold, we are servants today, and as for the land that you gave to our fathers to eat its fruit and its good, behold, we are servants in it.

ܘܥ̈ܠܠܬܗ̇ ܢܣܒܝܢ ܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܕܐܩܝܡ̣ܬ ܥܠܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܚܛܗ̈ܝܢ ܘܥܠ ܦܓܪܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܫܠܝܛܝܢ ܘܥܠ ܒܥܝܪܢ ܐܝܟ ܨܒܝܢܗܘܢ ܘܒܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܫ̇ܪܝܢܢ
shrynn rb' wb'wltsn' tsbynhwn 'yk beyrn wel shlyTyn hnwn pgrn wel khThyn mTl elyn d'qymth mlk' nsbyn wellthh
It yields much increase to the kings whom you have set over us because of our sins. Also they have power over our bodies and over our livestock, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress.
