הא על טורי ארעא דישראל רגלי מבשר משמע שלם חוגי יהודה חגך שלימי נדרך ארי לא יוספון עוד דיעדון ביך רשיעין כולהון אשתציאו:
ashthtsyaw kwlhwn rshyeyn byk dyedwn ewd ywspwn la ary ndrk shlymy khgk yhwdh khwgy shlm mshme mbshr rgly dyshral area Twry el ha
He who dashes in pieces has come up against you. Keep the fortress! Watch the way! Strengthen your waist! Fortify your power mightily!

דהוו סלקין ומתבדרין על ארעיך צירין עלך בציר מקימין סכואין על אורחתך תקיפי קדל חסיני חיל לחדא:
lkhda khyl khsyny qdl thqypy awrkhthk el skwayn mqymyn btsyr elk tsyryn areyk el wmthbdryn slqyn dhww
For Yahweh restores the excellency of Jacob as the excellency of Israel, for the destroyers have destroyed them and ruined their vine branches.

ארי אתיב יי תוקפיה ליעקב רבותיה לישראל ארי בזונון בזוזין וקרוי תושבחתהון חבילו:
khbylw thwshbkhthhwn wqrwy bzwzyn bzwnwn ary lyshral rbwthyh lyeqb thwqpyh yy athyb ary
The shield of his mighty men is made red. The valiant men are in scarlet. The chariots flash with steel in the day of his preparation, and the pine spears are brandished.

תריסי גבריהון מסמקין גברי עבדי קרבא לבישין דזהריתא באשתא פילי רתיכיהון זמינין ליום קשוטיהון ורבני משריתהון מסרבלין בצבעונין:
btsbewnyn msrblyn mshrythhwn wrbny qshwTyhwn lywm zmynyn rthykyhwn pyly bashtha dzhrytha lbyshyn qrba ebdy gbry msmqyn gbryhwn thrysy
The chariots rage in the streets. They rush back and forth in the wide ways. Their appearance is like torches. They run like the lightnings.

בשוקיא משתגשגין רתיכיא קל נקוש זיניהון משתמע ברחובי קרויא חזויהון כבעורין כברקין טרידין:
Trydyn kbrqyn kbewryn khzwyhwn qrwya brkhwby mshthme zynyhwn nqwsh ql rthykya mshthgshgyn bshwqya
He summons his picked troops. They stumble on their way. They dash to its wall, and the protective shield is put in place.

ימנון רבני משריתהון יתקלון במהכיהון יוחון יכבשון שורא יבנון מגדליא:
mgdlya ybnwn shwra ykbshwn ywkhwn bmhkyhwn ythqlwn mshrythhwn rbny ymnwn
The gates of the rivers are opened, and the palace is dissolved.

גשרי נהרותא אתפסקא ומלכא בהיכליה זע:
ze bhyklyh wmlka athpsqa nhrwtha gshry
It is decreed: she is uncovered, she is carried away; and her servants moan as with the voice of doves, beating on their breasts.

ומלכתא יתבת ציבא בגליא נפקת ואמהתהא מדברן אזלן בתראה מנהמן כקל יונים מטרפן על לביהון:
lbyhwn el mTrpn ywnym kql mnhmn bthrah azln mdbrn wamhthha npqth bglya tsyba ythbth wmlktha
But Nineveh has been from of old like a pool of water, yet they flee away. “Stop! Stop!” they cry, but no one looks back.

ונינוה כבית כנישת מיא מיומי קדם היא ואינון ערקו קומו קומו ולית דמפני למיקם:
lmyqm dmpny wlyth qwmw qwmw erqw waynwn hya qdm mywmy mya knyshth kbyth wnynwh
Take the plunder of silver. Take the plunder of gold, for there is no end of treasure, an abundance of every precious thing.

בוזו כספא בוזו דהבא ולית סוף לאוצריא ספו מכל מני חמדתא:
khmdtha mny mkl spw lawtsrya swp wlyth dhba bwzw kspa bwzw
She is empty, void, and waste. The heart melts, the knees knock together, their bodies and faces have grown pale.

בזיזא ומתבזזא ופתיח תרעא לסנאה ולב מסי ונקוש רכובין וזיוע בכל חרצין ואפי כולהון אתחפיאו אכרום אוכמין כקידרא:
kqydra awkmyn akrwm athkhpyaw kwlhwn wapy khrtsyn bkl wzywe rkwbyn wnqwsh msy wlb lsnah threa wpthykh wmthbzza bzyza
Where is the den of the lions, and the feeding place of the young lions, where the lion and the lioness walked with the lion’s cubs, and no one made them afraid?

אן מדורי מלכיא ובית מישרי שלטוניא אתר דהוו אזלין מלכיא תמן בניהון שבקין הא כאריה דשרי על צידיה לרוחצן ולית דמניד:
dmnyd wlyth lrwkhtsn tsydyh el dshry karyh ha shbqyn bnyhwn thmn mlkya azlyn dhww athr shlTwnya myshry wbyth mlkya mdwry an
The lion tore in pieces enough for his cubs, and strangled prey for his lionesses, and filled his caves with the kill and his dens with prey.

מלכיא מיתן חטוף לנשיהון ובזיא לבניהון וממלן אוצריהון חטוף וברניתיהון בזא:
bza wbrnythyhwn khTwp awtsryhwn wmmln lbnyhwn wbzya lnshyhwn khTwp mythn mlkya
“Behold, I am against you,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword will devour your young lions; and I will cut off your prey from the earth, and the voice of your messengers will no longer be heard.”
