ܡܚܘܬܐ ܕܢܝܢܘܐ ܕܒܣܦܪܐ ܕܚ̈ܙܘܢܐ ܕܢܚܘܡ ܐܠܩܘܫܝܐ

ܐܠܗܐ ܛܢܢܐ ܘܬܒܘܥܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܬܒܥ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܪܘܓܙܐ ܬܒܥ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܢ ܣܢܐ̈ܘܗܝ ܘܢܛܪ ܠܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܘܗܝ

Yahweh is a jealous God and avenges. Yahweh avenges and is full of wrath. Yahweh takes vengeance on his adversaries, and he maintains wrath against his enemies.

ܢܓܝܪܐ ܪܘܚܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܣܓܝ ܚܝܠܗ ܘܡܙܟܝܘ ܠܐ ܡܙܟܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܥܠܥܠܐ ܘܒܟܘܟܝܬܐ ܐܘܪܚܗ ܘܥܢ̈ܢܐ ܚܠܐ ܕܪ̈ܓܠܘܗܝ

Yahweh is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. Yahweh has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

ܟܐܐ ܒܝܡܐ ܘܡܘܒܫ ܠܗ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܢܗܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܡܚܪܒ ܐܠܬ ܡܬܢܝܢ ܘܟܪܡܠܐ ܘܦܪܥܐ ܕܠܒܢܢ ܝܒܫ

He rebukes the sea and makes it dry, and dries up all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel languish. The flower of Lebanon languishes.

ܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܙܥܘ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܘܪ̈ܡܬܐ ܐܬܦܪܩ ܙܥܬ ܐܪܥܐ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܬܒܝܠ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܘܪ̈ܝܗ̇
emwryh wklhwn thbyl qdmwhy mn 're' zeth 'thprq wrmth' qdmwhy mn zew Twr'
The mountains quake before him, and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, yes, the world, and all who dwell in it.

ܩܕܡ ܪܘܓܙܗ ܡܢܘ ܩܐܡ ܘܡܢܘ ܡܣܝܒܪ ܚܡܬܐ ܕܪܘܓܙܗ ܚܡܬܗ ܝܩܕܐ ܐܝܟ ܢܘܪܐ ܘܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܐܬܦܫܪܘ ܡܢܗ
mnh 'thpshrw wTwr' nwr' 'yk yqd' khmthh drwgzh khmth' msybr wmnw q'm mnw rwgzh qdm
Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the fierceness of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken apart by him.

ܛܒ ܗܘ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܣܝܥܘ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܘܝܕܥ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܬܟܝܠܝܢ ܥܠܘܗܝ
elwhy dthkylyn l'ylyn wyde d'wltsn' bywm' lmsyew mry' hw Tb
Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.

ܘܒܓܪܘܦܝܐ ܥܒܕ ܓܡܘܪܝܐ ܢܥܒܪ ܠܐܬܪܗ ܘܠܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܘܗܝ ܢܪܕܘܦ ܚܫܘܟܐ
khshwk' nrdwp wlbeldbbwhy l'thrh nebr gmwry' ebd wbgrwpy'
But with an overflowing flood, he will make a full end of her place, and will pursue his enemies into darkness.

ܡܢܐ ܡܬܚܫܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܥܠ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܓܡܘܪܝܐ ܥܒܕ ܘܠܐ ܢܩܘܡ ܕܬܪ̈ܬܝܢ ܙܒ̈ܢܝܢ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ
'wltsn' zbnyn dthrthyn nqwm wl' ebd dgmwry' mry' el 'nthwn mthkhshbyn mn'
What do you plot against Yahweh? He will make a full end. Affliction won’t rise up the second time.

ܡܛܠ ܕܥܕܡܐ ܠܫ̈ܠܝܛܢܝܗܘܢ ܡܪܘܕܝܢ ܘܒܪܘܝܘܬܗܘܢ ܪܘܝܢ ܘܐܟܠܘ ܘܐܬܡܠܝܘ ܚܒܬܐ ܝܒܝܫܬܐ
ybyshth' khbth' w'thmlyw w'klw rwyn wbrwywthhwn mrwdyn lshlyTnyhwn dedm' mTl
For entangled like thorns, and drunken as with their drink, they are consumed utterly like dry stubble.

ܡܢܟܝ ܢܦܘܩ ܕܡܬܚܫܒ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܥܠ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܡܬܪܥܐ ܥܘܠܐ
ewl' wmthre' mry' el byshth' dmthkhshb npwq mnky
One has gone out of you who devises evil against Yahweh, who counsels wickedness.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܪ̈ܝܫܝ ܡ̈ܝܐ ܣ̈ܓܝܐܐ ܕܓܪܘ ܘܥܒܪܘ ܘܕܥܢܝܬܟܝ ܬܘܒ ܠܐ ܐܥܢܝܟܝ
'enyky l' thwb wdenythky webrw dgrw sgy'' my' ryshy el mry' 'mr hkn'
Yahweh says: “Though they are in full strength and likewise many, even so they will be cut down and pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.

ܡܟܝܠ ܐܬܒܪ ܢܝܪܗ ܡܢܟܝ ܘܚܢܩ̈ܝܟܝ ܐܦܣܩ

Now I will break his yoke from off you, and will burst your bonds apart.”

ܘܢܦܩܘܕ ܥܠܝܟܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܙܕܪܥ ܬܘܒ ܡܢ ܫܡܟܝ ܒܝܬ ܐܠܗܟܝ ܘܐܘܒܕ ܓܠܝ̈ܦܐ ܘܢܣܝ̈ܟܐ ܘܐܥܒܕܝܘܗܝ ܩܒܪܟܝ ܒܥܓܠ

Yahweh has commanded concerning you: “No more descendants will bear your name. Out of the house of your gods, I will cut off the engraved image and the molten image. I will make your grave, for you are vile.”
