ܫܡܥܘ ܡܟܝܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܩܘܡ ܕܘܢ ܥܡ ܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܘܢܫ̈ܡܥܢ ܩܠܟ ܪ̈ܡܬܐ
rmth' qlk wnshmen Twr' em dwn qwm mry' d'mr mdm mkyl shmew
Listen now to what Yahweh says: “Arise, plead your case before the mountains, and let the hills hear what you have to say.

ܫܡܥܘ ܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܕܝܢܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܥ̈ܘܡܩܐ ܕܫܬ̈ܐܣܝܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܕܕܐܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܡ ܥܡܗ ܘܠܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܟܣ
mks wl'ysryl emh em mry' dd'n d're' dshth'syh wewmq' dmry' dynh Twr' shmew
Hear, you mountains, Yahweh’s indictment, and you enduring foundations of the earth; for Yahweh has a case against his people, and he will contend with Israel.

ܥܡܝ ܡܢܐ ܥܒܕܬ ܠܟ ܐܘ ܒܡܢܐ ܐܟܪܝܬ ܠܟ ܐܣܗܕܝܢܝ
'shdyny lk 'kryth bmn' 'w lk ebdth mn' emy
My people, what have I done to you? How have I burdened you? Answer me!

ܠܐ ܐܣܩܬܟ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܥܒܕܘܬܐ ܦܪܩܬܟ ܘܫܕܪܬ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܠܡܘܫܐ ܘܠܐܗܪܘܢ ܘܠܡܪܝܡ
wlmrym wl'hrwn lmwsh' qdmyk wshdrth prqthk ebdwth' byth wmn dmtsryn 're' mn 'sqthk l'
For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage. I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

ܥܡܝ ܐܬܕܟܪ ܗܟܝܠ ܡܢܐ ܐܬܪܥܝ ܥܠܝܟ ܒܠܩ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܡܘܐܒ ܘܡܢܐ ܥܢܝܗܝ ܒܠܥܡ ܒܪ ܒܥܘܪ ܡܢ ܣܛܝܡ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܓܠܓܠ ܡܛܠ ܕܝܕܥ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' zdyqwthh dyde mTl lglgl wedm' sTym mn bewr br blem enyhy wmn' dmw'b mlk' blq elyk 'threy mn' hkyl 'thdkr emy
My people, remember now what Balak king of Moab devised, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of Yahweh.”

ܒܡܢܐ ܐܩܕܡ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܫܦܪ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܡܪܝܡܐ ܐܩܕܡܝܘܗܝ ܒܝܩ̈ܕܐ ܫ̈ܠܡܐ ܐܘ ܒܥ̈ܓܠܐ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܫܢܬܐ
shnth' bny begl' 'w shlm' byqd' 'qdmywhy mrym' l'lh' w'shpr lmry' 'qdm bmn'
How shall I come before Yahweh, and bow myself before the exalted God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?

ܠܐ ܡܨܛܒܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܐܠܦܐ ܕܕܟܪܐ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܒܪ̈ܒܘܬܐ ܕܚܝܠܐ ܕܡܘ̈ܫܚܐ ܐܢ ܐܬܠ ܒܘܟܪܝ ܥܘܠܐ ܗܘ ܠܝ ܘܦܐܪ̈ܐ ܕܟܪܣܝ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܢܦܫܝ

Will Yahweh be pleased with thousands of rams? With tens of thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my disobedience? The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

ܚܘܝܬܟ ܒܪ ܐܢܫܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܡܥܕܪ ܕܬܒܥ ܠܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܬܥܒܕ ܕܝܢܐ ܘܬܪܚܡ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܘܬܗܘܐ ܥܬܝܕ ܠܡܐܙܠ ܒܬܪ ܐܠܗܟ
'lhk bthr lm'zl ethyd wthhw' Tybwth' wthrkhm dyn' dthebd mry' lk dthbe dmedr mdm 'nsh' br khwythk
He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

ܩܠܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܡܟܪܙ ܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܠܕܚ̈ܠܝ ܫܡܗ ܫܡܥ ܫܒܛܐ ܡ̇ܢ ܢܣܗܕ
nshd mn shbT' shme shmh ldkhly ywlpn' mkrz mdynth' el dmry' qlh
Yahweh’s voice calls to the city— and wisdom fears your name— “Listen to the rod, and he who appointed it.

ܕܬܘܒ ܢܘܪܐ ܒܒܝܬܗ ܕܥ̇ܘܠܐ ܘܐܘܨܪ̈ܐ ܕܥܘ̣ܠܐ ܘܟܝܠܬܐ ܙܥܘܪܬܐ ܕܥܬܐ
deth' zewrth' wkylth' dewl' w'wtsr' dewl' bbythh nwr' dthwb
Are there yet treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and a short ephah that is accursed?

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܢܙܕܕܩܘܢ ܒܡܣ̈ܐܬܐ ܕܥܘܠܐ ܘܒܡܪ̈ܣܘܦܐ ܕܡ̈ܬܩܠܐ ܕܢܟܠܐ

Shall I tolerate dishonest scales, and a bag of deceitful weights?

ܕܥܬ̈ܝܪܝܗ̇ ܡܠܝܢ ܥܬܐ ܘܥܡܘܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܡܡܠܠܝܢ ܕܓܠܘܬܐ ܘܠܫܢܗܘܢ ܢܟܝܠ ܒܦܘܡܗܘܢ
bpwmhwn nkyl wlshnhwn dglwth' mmllyn wemwryh eth' mlyn dethyryh
Her rich men are full of violence, her inhabitants speak lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their speech.

ܐܦ ܐܢܐ ܐܫܪܐ ܠܡܡܚܝܟ ܘܐܚܒܠܟ ܡܛܠ ܚ̈ܛܗܝܟ

Therefore I also have struck you with a grievous wound. I have made you desolate because of your sins.

ܘܬܐܟܘܠ ܘܠܐ ܬܣܒܥ ܘܥܒܪܬܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܒܓܘܟ ܘܬܕܪܟ ܘܠܐ ܬܦܨܐ ܘܡܕܡ ܕܬܦܨܐ ܠܚܪܒܐ ܐܫܠܡ
'shlm lkhrb' dthpts' wmdm thpts' wl' wthdrk bgwk thhw' webrth' thsbe wl' wth'kwl
You shall eat, but not be satisfied. Your hunger will be within you. You will store up, but not save, and that which you save I will give up to the sword.

ܐܢܬ ܬܙܪܘܥ ܘܠܐ ܬܚܨܘܕ ܐܢܬ ܬܥܨܘܪ ܙܝܬ̈ܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܡܫܘܚ ܡܫܚܐ ܘܬܥܨܘܪ ܚܡܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܫܬܐ
thshth' wl' khmr' wthetswr mshkh' thmshwkh wl' zyth' thetswr 'nth thkhtswd wl' thzrwe 'nth
You will sow, but won’t reap. You will tread the olives, but won’t anoint yourself with oil; and crush grapes, but won’t drink the wine.

ܥܠ ܕܢܛܪܬ ܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܘܗܝ ܕܥܡܪܝ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܒ̈ܕܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܚܒ ܘܗܠܟܬܘܢ ܒܬܪ̈ܥܝܬܗܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܝܗܒܬܗ̇ ܒܬܡܗܐ ܘܥܡܘܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܒܡܫܪܘܩܝܬܐ ܘܚܣܕܗ ܕܥܡܝ ܬܩܒܠܘܢ
thqblwn demy wkhsdh bmshrwqyth' wemwryh bthmh' yhbthh hn' mTl bthreythhwn whlkthwn 'khb dbyth ebd' wklhwn demry pwqdnwhy dnTrth el
For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of Ahab’s house. You walk in their counsels, that I may make you a ruin, and your inhabitants a hissing. You will bear the reproach of my people.”
