1
ואת בית לחם אפרתה כזעיר הויתא לאתמנאה באלפיא דבית יהודה מנך קדמי יפוק משיחא למהוי עביד שולטן על ישראל די שמיה אמיר מלקדמין מיומי עלמא:
elma mywmy mlqdmyn amyr shmyh dy yshral el shwlTn ebyd lmhwy mshykha ypwq qdmy mnk yhwdh dbyth balpya lathmnah hwytha kzeyr aprthh lkhm byth wath
Now you shall gather yourself in troops, daughter of troops. He has laid siege against us. They will strike the judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek.

בכן יתמסרון כעדן ילידתא למילד ושאר אחיהון יסתמכון עליהון בני ישראל:
yshral bny elyhwn ysthmkwn akhyhwn wshar lmyld ylydtha kedn ythmsrwn bkn
But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come out to me who is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings out are from of old, from ancient times.

ויקום וישלוט בתקוף מן קדם יי ברבות שמא דיי אלהיה ויתובון מביני גלותהון ארי כען יסגי שמיה עד סיפי ארעא:
area sypy ed shmyh ysgy ken ary glwthhwn mbyny wythwbwn alhyh dyy shma brbwth yy qdm mn bthqwp wyshlwT wyqwm
Therefore he will abandon them until the time that she who is in labor gives birth. Then the rest of his brothers will return to the children of Israel.

ויהי מבכן שלמא לנא אתוראה ארי יעול בארענא וארי ידרוך בברניתנא ונמני עלנא שבעא מלכין ותמניא רברבי אנשא:
ansha rbrby wthmnya mlkyn shbea elna wnmny bbrnythna ydrwk wary barena yewl ary athwrah lna shlma mbkn wyhy
He shall stand, and shall shepherd in the strength of Yahweh, in the majesty of the name of Yahweh his God. They will live, for then he will be great to the ends of the earth.

וירעון ית ארעא דאתור בחרבא וית ארעא נמרוד בתקוף כרכהא וישיזביננא מאתור דלא יעול בארענא ולא ידרוך בתחומנא:
bthkhwmna ydrwk wla barena yewl dla mathwr wyshyzbynna krkha bthqwp nmrwd area wyth bkhrba dathwr area yth wyrewn
He will be our peace when Assyria invades our land and when he marches through our fortresses, then we will raise against him seven shepherds, and eight leaders of men.

ויהי שארא דבית יעקב בגו עממין סגיאין כטלא קדם יי וכרסיסי מלקושא די על עסבא די לא מוריך לאנשא ולא מכתר לבר אנשא:
ansha lbr mkthr wla lansha mwryk la dy esba el dy mlqwsha wkrsysy yy qdm kTla sgyayn emmyn bgw yeqb dbyth shara wyhy
They will rule the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in its gates. He will deliver us from the Assyrian, when he invades our land, and when he marches within our border.

ויהי שארא דיעקב בעממיא בגו עממין סגיאין כאריא בבעירא בחורשא וכליתא בעדרי ענא דאם יעדי וירמוס ויקטול ולית די משיזיב:
mshyzyb dy wlyth wyqTwl wyrmws yedy dam ena bedry wklytha bkhwrsha bbeyra karya sgyayn emmyn bgw bemmya dyeqb shara wyhy
The remnant of Jacob will be among many peoples like dew from Yahweh, like showers on the grass, that don’t wait for man nor wait for the sons of men.

סגי מבכן תתקיף ידך ישראל על סנאך וכל בעלי דבבך ישתיצון:
yshthytswn dbbk bely wkl snak el yshral ydk ththqyp mbkn sgy
The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, among many peoples, like a lion among the animals of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep; who, if he goes through, treads down and tears in pieces, and there is no one to deliver.

ויהי בעדנא ההיא אמר יי ואשיצי סוסות עממיא מבינך ואוביד רתיכיהון:
rthykyhwn wawbyd mbynk emmya swswth washytsy yy amr hhya bedna wyhy
Let your hand be lifted up above your adversaries, and let all of your enemies be cut off.

ואשיצי קרוי עממיא מארעך ואפגיר כל כרכיהון תקיפיא:
thqypya krkyhwn kl wapgyr marek emmya qrwy washytsy
“It will happen in that day”, says Yahweh, “that I will cut off your horses from among you and will destroy your chariots.
11
ואשיצי חרשין מבינך ומעננין לא יהון לך:
lk yhwn la wmennyn mbynk khrshyn washytsy
I will cut off the cities of your land and will tear down all your strongholds.
12
ואשיצי צלמי עממיא וקמתהון מבינך ולא תשתעביד עוד לעובדי ידך:
ydk lewbdy ewd thshthebyd wla mbynk wqmthhwn emmya tslmy washytsy
I will destroy witchcraft from your hand. You shall have no soothsayers.
13
ואעקר שתילי עממיא מבינך ואשיצי בעלי דבבך:
dbbk bely washytsy mbynk emmya shthyly waeqr
I will cut off your engraved images and your pillars from among you; and you shall no more worship the work of your hands.
