ܘܐܡܪ ܫܡܥܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܗܠܝܢ ܪ̈ܝܫܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܫ̈ܠܝܛܢܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܘܠ̈ܐ ܠܡܕܥ ܕܝܢܐ
dyn' lmde wl' lkwn hw' l' 'ysryl dbyth wshlyTn' yeqwb dbyth rysh' hlyn hkyl shmew w'mr
I said, “Please listen, you heads of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel: Isn’t it for you to know justice?

ܣܢܝ̈ܝ ܛܒ̈ܬܐ ܘܪ̈ܚܡܝ ܒܝܫܬ̈ܐ ܕܚܛܦܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܫܟܗܘܢ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܘܒܣܪܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܓܪ̈ܡܝܗܘܢ
grmyhwn mn wbsrhwn mnhwn mshkhwn 'nthwn dkhTpyn byshth' wrkhmy Tbth' snyy
You who hate the good, and love the evil; who tear off their skin, and their flesh from off their bones;

ܕܐܟܠܘ ܒܣܪܗ ܕܥܡܝ ܘܡܫܟܗܘܢ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܐܫܠܚܘ ܘܓܪܡܝܗܘܢ ܬܒܪܘ ܘܐܪܡܝܘ ܐܝܟ ܕܒܩܕܣܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܒܣܪܐ ܒܩܕܪܐ
bqdr' bsr' w'yk dbqds' 'yk w'rmyw thbrw wgrmyhwn 'shlkhw mnhwn wmshkhwn demy bsrh d'klw
who also eat the flesh of my people, and peel their skin from off them, and break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as meat within the cauldron.

ܗܝ ܕܝܢ ܢܓܥܘܢ ܠܘܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܥܢܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܢܗܦܟ ܐ̈ܦܘܗܝ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܒܙܒܢܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܥܠ ܕܐܒܐܫܘ ܥܒ̈ܕܝܗܘܢ
ebdyhwn d'b'shw el hw bzbn' mnhwn 'pwhy wnhpk 'nwn nen' wl' mry' lwth ngewn dyn hy
Then they will cry to Yahweh, but he will not answer them. Yes, he will hide his face from them at that time, because they made their deeds evil.”

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܢܒ̈ܝܐ ܕܡܛܥܝܢ ܠܥܡܝ ܕܢܟܬܝܢ ܒܫܢ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܘܡܟܪܙܝܢ ܫܠܡܐ ܘܡ̇ܢ ܕܠܐ ܪܡܐ ܒܦܘܡܗܘܢ ܡܟܪܙܝܢ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܩܪܒܐ
qrb' elwhy mkrzyn bpwmhwn rm' dl' wmn shlm' wmkrzyn bshnyhwn dnkthyn lemy dmTeyn nby' el mry' 'mr hkn'
Yahweh says concerning the prophets who lead my people astray—for those who feed their teeth, they proclaim, “Peace!” and whoever doesn’t provide for their mouths, they prepare war against him:

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܠܠܝܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܚܙܘܐ ܘܬܚܫܟ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܩܨܡܐ ܘܬܥܪܒ ܫܡܫܐ ܥܠ ܢܒ̈ܝܐ ܘܢܥܡܛ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܝܘܡܐ
ywm' elyhwn wnemT nby' el shmsh' wtherb qtsm' mn lkwn wthkhshk khzw' mn lkwn lly' hn' mTl
“Therefore night is over you, with no vision, and it is dark to you, that you may not divine; and the sun will go down on the prophets, and the day will be black over them.

ܘܢܒܗܬܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܚܙܝܢ ܚܙ̈ܘܢܐ ܘܢܚܦܪܘܢ ܩܨ̈ܘܡܐ ܘܢܬܥܛܦܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܠ ܣ̈ܦܘܬܗܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܥܢܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܠܗܐ
'lh' lhwn en' dl' mTl spwthhwn el klhwn wntheTpwn qtswm' wnkhprwn khzwn' dkhzyn 'ylyn wnbhthwn
The seers shall be disappointed, and the diviners confounded. Yes, they shall all cover their lips, for there is no answer from God.”

ܒܪܡ ܕܝܢ ܐܢܐ ܡܠܐ ܐܢܐ ܚܝܠܐ ܕܪܘܚܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܕܝܢܐ ܘܓܢܒܪܘܬܐ ܕܐܚܘܐ ܠܝܥܩܘܒ ܥܘܠܗ ܘܠܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܚܛܝܬܗ
khTythh wl'ysryl ewlh lyeqwb d'khw' wgnbrwth' wdyn' dmry' drwkhh khyl' 'n' ml' 'n' dyn brm
But as for me, I am full of power by Yahweh’s Spirit, and of judgment, and of might, to declare to Jacob his disobedience, and to Israel his sin.

ܫܡܥܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܗܕܐ ܪ̈ܝܫܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܫ̈ܠܝܛܢܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܡܣܠܝܢ ܕܝܢܐ ܘܡܥܩܡܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܬܪ̈ܝܨܬܐ
thrytsth' klhyn wmeqmyn dyn' dmslyn 'ysryl dbyth wshlyTn' yeqwb dbyth rysh' hd' hkyl shmew
Please listen to this, you heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, who abhor justice, and pervert all equity,

ܕܒܢܝܢ ܠܨܗܝܘܢ ܒܕܡܐ ܘܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܒܥܘܠܐ
bewl' wl'wrshlm bdm' ltshywn dbnyn
who build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.

ܪ̈ܫܝܗ̇ ܒܫܘܚܕܐ ܕܝܢܝܢ ܘܟܗ̈ܢܝܗ̇ ܒܐܓܪܐ ܡܠܦܝܢ ܘܢܒܝ̈ܝܗ̇ ܒܟܣܦܐ ܩܨܡܝܢ ܘܥܠ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܬܬܟܠܝܢ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܗܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܝܢܬܢ ܠܐ ܐܬܝܐ ܥܠܝܢ ܒܝܫܬܐ
byshth' elyn 'thy' l' bynthn mry' h' w'mryn mththklyn mry' wel qtsmyn bksp' wnbyyh mlpyn b'gr' wkhnyh dynyn bshwkhd' rshyh
Her leaders judge for bribes, and her priests teach for a price, and her prophets of it tell fortunes for money; yet they lean on Yahweh, and say, “Isn’t Yahweh among us? No disaster will come on us.”

ܡܟܝܠ ܡܛܠܬܟܘܢ ܨܗܝܘܢ ܚܩܠܐ ܬܬܕܒܪ ܘܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܚܪܒܬܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܘܛܘܪ ܒܝܬܐ ܠܒܝܬ ܥܒܐ
eb' lbyth byth' wTwr thhw' khrbth' w'wrshlm ththdbr khql' tshywn mTlthkwn mkyl
Therefore Zion for your sake will be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem will become heaps of rubble, and the mountain of the temple like the high places of a forest.
