ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܕܗܘܐ ܥܠ ܡܝܟܐ ܡܐܪܫܝܐ ܒܝ̈ܘܡܘܗܝ ܕܝܘܬܡ ܘܕܐܚܙ ܘܕܚܙܩܝܐ ܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܕܚܙܐ ܥܠ ܫܡܪܝܢ ܘܥܠ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ
'wrshlm wel shmryn el dkhz' dyhwd' mlk' wdkhzqy' wd'khz dywthm bywmwhy m'rshy' myk' el dhw' dmry' pthgmh
Yahweh’s word that came to Micah of Morasheth in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

ܫܡܥܘ ܟܠܟܘܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܘܨܘܬܝ ܐܪܥܐ ܒܡܠܐܗ̇ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܒܟܘܢ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܣܗܕܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܢ ܗܝܟܠܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܗ
dqwdshh hykl' mn mry' shd' mrwth' mr' bkwn wnhw' bml'h 're' wtswthy emm' klkwn shmew
Hear, you peoples, all of you! Listen, O earth, and all that is therein. Let the Lord Yahweh be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܢܦܩ ܡܢ ܐܬܪܗ ܘܢܚܬ ܘܕܪܟ ܥܠ ܪܘܡܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ
d're' rwmh el wdrk wnkhth 'thrh mn npq mry' dh' mTl
For behold, Yahweh comes out of his place, and will come down and tread on the high places of the earth.

ܘܢܬܦܫܪܘܢ ܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܬܚܘܬܘܗܝ ܘܥܘܡ̈ܩܐ ܢܬܬܠܚܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܫܥܘܬܐ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܢܘܪܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܡܝ̈ܐ ܕܢܕܪܝܢ ܒܡܚܬܬܐ
bmkhthth' dndryn my' w'yk nwr' qdm mn shewth' 'yk nththlkhwn wewmq' thkhwthwhy Twr' wnthpshrwn
The mountains melt under him, and the valleys split apart like wax before the fire, like waters that are poured down a steep place.

ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܥܘܠܗ ܕܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܡܛܠ ܚ̈ܛܗܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܢܐ ܗܘ ܥܘܠܗ ܕܝܥܩܘܒ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܫܡܪܝܢ ܘܡܢܐ ܗܝ ܚܛܝܬܗ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ
'wrshlm 'n 'l' dyhwd' khTythh hy wmn' shmryn 'n 'l' dyeqwb ewlh hw mn' 'ysryl dbyth khTh' wmTl dyeqwb ewlh mTl klhyn hlyn
“All this is for the disobedience of Jacob, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the disobedience of Jacob? Isn’t it Samaria? And what are the high places of Judah? Aren’t they Jerusalem?

ܘܐܥܒܕܝܗ̇ ܠܫܡܪܝܢ ܒܝܬ ܕܒܪܐ ܕܚܩܠܐ ܘܢܨܒܬܐ ܕܟܪܡܐ ܘܐܟܫܐ ܟܐ̈ܦܝܗ̇ ܒܝܓܪܐ ܘܐܓܠܐ ܫܬܐ̈ܣܝܗ̇
shth'syh w'gl' bygr' k'pyh w'ksh' dkrm' wntsbth' dkhql' dbr' byth lshmryn w'ebdyh
Therefore I will make Samaria like a rubble heap of the field, like places for planting vineyards; and I will pour down its stones into the valley, and I will uncover its foundations.

ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܓܠܝ̈ܦܝܗ̇ ܡܬܬܒܪܘ ܢܬܬܒܪܘܢ ܘܟܠܗܝܢ ܕܚ̈ܠܬܗ̇ ܢܐܩ̈ܕܢ ܒܢܘܪܐ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܦܬܟܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܐܥܒܕ ܠܚܒܠܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܢ ܐܓܪܐ ܕܙܢܝܬܐ ܐܬܟܢܫܘ ܘܠܐܓܪܐ ܕܙܢܝܬܐ ܢܗܦܟܘܢ
nhpkwn dznyth' wl'gr' 'thknshw dznyth' 'gr' dmn mTl lkhbl' 'ebd pthkryh wklhwn bnwr' n'qdn dkhlthh wklhyn nththbrwn mththbrw glypyh wklhwn
All her idols will be beaten to pieces, all her temple gifts will be burned with fire, and I will destroy all her images; for of the hire of a prostitute has she gathered them, and to the hire of a prostitute shall they return.”

ܥܠ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܪܩܕܝ ܘܐܝܠܠܝ ܘܗܠܟܝ ܚܦܝܝ ܘܥܪܛܠ ܘܥܒܕܝ ܡܪܩܘܕܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܝܪܘܪܐ ܘܐܒܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܒܪܬ ܝܪܘܪܐ

For this I will lament and wail. I will go stripped and naked. I will howl like the jackals and mourn like the ostriches.

ܡܛܠ ܕܟܝܒܐ ܗܝ ܡܚܘܬܗ̇ ܘܡܛܬ ܠܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܩܪܒܬ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܬܪܥܗ ܕܥܡܝ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ
l'wrshlm demy lthreh edm' wqrbth lyhwd' wmTth mkhwthh hy dkyb' mTl
For her wounds are incurable; for it has come even to Judah. It reaches to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.

ܒܓܬ ܠܐ ܬܚܕܘܢ ܘܡܒܟܐ ܠܐ ܬܒܟܘܢ ܒ̈ܒܬܐ ܕܥܘܦܪܐ ܐܬܦܠܦܠܘ ܒܥܦܪܐ
bepr' 'thplplw dewpr' bbth' thbkwn l' wmbk' thkhdwn l' bgth
Don’t tell it in Gath. Don’t weep at all. At Beth Ophrah I have rolled myself in the dust.

ܥܒܕܝ ܠܟܝ ܥܡܘܪܬܐ ܕܫܦܝܪ ܥܪܛܠ ܢܦܩܬ ܘܠܐ ܒܗܬܬ ܥܡܘܪܬܐ ܕܨܥܢ ܡܪܩܘܕܬܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܘܨܝܠ ܬܣܒ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܡܚܘܬܗ̇
mkhwthh mnkwn thsb 'wtsyl dbyth mrqwdth' dtsen emwrth' bhthth wl' npqth erTl dshpyr emwrth' lky ebdy
Pass on, inhabitant of Shaphir, in nakedness and shame. The inhabitant of Zaanan won’t come out. The wailing of Beth Ezel will take from you his protection.

ܡܛܠ ܕܐܬܟܪܗܬ ܠܛܒܬܐ ܥܡܘܪܬܐ ܕܡܪܕܬ ܥܠ ܕܢܚܬܬ ܒܝܫܬܗ̇ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܬܪ̈ܥܝܗ̇ ܕܐܘܪܫܠܡ

For the inhabitant of Maroth waits anxiously for good, because evil has come down from Yahweh to the gate of Jerusalem.

Harness the chariot to the swift steed, inhabitant of Lachish. She was the beginning of sin to the daughter of Zion; for the transgressions of Israel were found in you.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܬܬܠܝܢ ܫܘܒܩܢܐ ܠܝܪܬܘܬܐ ܕܓܬ ܒܬ̈ܐ ܕܣܪܝܩܘܬܐ ܗܘܘ ܠܣܪܝܩܘܬܐ ܠܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ

Therefore you will give a parting gift to Moresheth Gath. The houses of Achzib will be a deceitful thing to the kings of Israel.

ܐܝܬܐ ܠܟܝ ܬܘܒ ܝܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܥܡܘܪܬܐ ܕܡܐܪܫܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܢܥܠܐ ܐܝܩܪܗ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ
d'ysryl 'yqrh nel' lelm edm' dm'rsh' emwrth' yrwth' thwb lky 'yth'
I will yet bring a conqueror to you, inhabitants of Mareshah. The glory of Israel will come to Adullam.

ܡܪܘܛܝ ܘܓܘܙܝ ܥܠ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܡܦܢܩܘܬܟܝ ܐܣܓܝ ܡܪܛܟܝ ܐܝܟ ܕܢܫܪܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܫܬܒܝܘ ܡܢܟܝ

Shave your heads, and cut off your hair for the children of your delight. Enlarge your baldness like the vulture, for they have gone into captivity from you!
