ܟܕ ܢܚܬ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܛܘܪܐ ܢܩܦܘܗܝ ܟܢܫܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ

When he came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.

ܘܗܐ ܓܪܒܐ ܚܕ ܐܬܐ ܣܓܕ ܠܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝ ܐܢ ܨܒܐ ܐܢܬ ܡܫܟܚ ܐܢܬ ܠܡܕܟܝܘܬܝ
lmdkywthy 'nth mshkkh 'nth tsb' 'n mry w'mr lh sgd 'th' khd grb' wh'
Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.”

ܘܦܫܛ ܐܝܕܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܩܪܒ ܠܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܨܒܐ ܐܢܐ ܐܬܕܟܐ ܘܒܗ ܒܫܥܬܐ ܐܬܕܟܝ ܓܪܒܗ

Jesus stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying,
“I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܚܙܝ ܠܡܐ ܠܐܢܫ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܬ ܐܠܐ ܙܠ ܚܘܐ ܢܦܫܟ ܠܟܗܢܐ ܘܩܪܒ ܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܦܩܕ ܡܘܫܐ ܠܣܗܕܘܬܗܘܢ

Jesus said to him,
“See that you tell nobody, but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

ܟܕ ܥܠ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܟܦܪܢܚܘܡ ܩܪܒ ܠܗ ܩܢܛܪܘܢܐ ܚܕ ܘܒܥܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܢܗ

When he came into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking him,

ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝ ܛܠܝܝ ܪܡܐ ܒܒܝܬܐ ܘܡܫܪܝ ܘܒܝܫܐܝܬ ܡܫܬܢܩ

and saying, “Lord, my servant lies in the house paralyzed, grievously tormented.”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܢܐ ܐܬܐ ܘܐܣܝܘܗܝ
w'sywhy 'th' 'n' yshwe lh 'mr
Jesus said to him,
“I will come and heal him.”

ܥܢܐ ܩܢܛܪܘܢܐ ܗܘ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝ ܠܐ ܫܘܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܬܥܘܠ ܬܚܝܬ ܡܛܠܠܝ ܐܠܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܐܡܪ ܒܡܠܬܐ ܘܢܬܐܣܐ ܛܠܝܝ
Tlyy wnth's' bmlth' 'mr blkhwd 'l' mTlly thkhyth dthewl 'n' shw' l' mry w'mr hw qnTrwn' en'
The centurion answered, “Lord, I’m not worthy for you to come under my roof. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.

ܐܦ ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܓܒܪܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܬܚܝܬ ܫܘܠܛܢܐ ܘܐܝܬ ܬܚܝܬ ܐܝܕܝ ܐܣܛܪܛܝܘܛܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܗܢܐ ܕܙܠ ܘܐܙܠ ܘܠܐܚܪܢܐ ܕܬܐ ܘܐܬܐ ܘܠܥܒܕܝ ܕܥܒܕ ܗܕܐ ܘܥܒܕ

For I am also a man under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and tell another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and tell my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

ܟܕ ܫܡܥ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܬܕܡܪ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܕܐܬܝܢ ܥܡܗ ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܐܦ ܠܐ ܒܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ ܐܫܟܚܬ ܐܝܟ ܗܕܐ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ

When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to those who followed,
“Most certainly I tell you, I haven’t found so great a faith, not even in Israel.

ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܣܓܝܐܐ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܡܕܢܚܐ ܘܡܢ ܡܥܪܒܐ ܘܢܣܬܡܟܘܢ ܥܡ ܐܒܪܗܡ ܘܐܝܣܚܩ ܘܝܥܩܘܒ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ
dshmy' bmlkwth' wyeqwb w'yskhq 'brhm em wnsthmkwn merb' wmn mdnkh' mn n'thwn dsgy'' dyn lkwn 'n' 'mr
I tell you that many will come from the east and the west, and will sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven,

ܒܢܝܗ ܕܝܢ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܢܦܩܘܢ ܠܚܫܘܟܐ ܒܪܝܐ ܬܡܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܟܝܐ ܘܚܘܪܩ ܫܢܐ
shn' wkhwrq bky' nhw' thmn bry' lkhshwk' npqwn dmlkwth' dyn bnyh
but the children of the Kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܩܢܛܪܘܢܐ ܗܘ ܙܠ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܗܝܡܢܬ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܟ ܘܐܬܐܣܝ ܛܠܝܗ ܒܗ ܒܫܥܬܐ
bsheth' bh Tlyh w'th'sy lk nhw' dhymnth 'ykn' zl hw lqnTrwn' yshwe w'mr
Jesus said to the centurion,
“Go your way. Let it be done for you as you have believed.” His servant was healed in that hour.

ܘܐܬܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܒܝܬܗ ܕܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܚܙܐ ܠܚܡܬܗ ܕܪܡܝܐ ܘܐܚܝܕܐ ܠܗ ܐܫܬܐ

When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever.

ܘܩܪܒ ܠܐܝܕܗ ܘܫܒܩܬܗ ܐܫܬܐ ܘܩܡܬ ܘܡܫܡܫܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܗ

He touched her hand, and the fever left her. She got up and served him.

ܟܕ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܪܡܫܐ ܩܪܒܘ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܕܝܘܢܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܘܐܦܩ ܕܝܘܝܗܘܢ ܒܡܠܬܐ ܘܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܝܫܐܝܬ ܥܒܝܕܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܐܣܝ ܐܢܘܢ

When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick;

ܐܝܟ ܕܢܬܡܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܬܐܡܪ ܒܝܕ ܐܫܥܝܐ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܐܡܪ ܕܗܘ ܢܣܒ ܟܐܒܝܢ ܘܟܘܪܗܢܝܢ ܢܛܥܢ

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, “He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases.”

ܟܕ ܚܙܐ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܟܢܫܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܕܚܕܝܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܦܩܕ ܕܢܐܙܠܘܢ ܠܥܒܪܐ

Now when Jesus saw great multitudes around him, he gave the order to depart to the other side.

ܘܩܪܒ ܣܦܪܐ ܚܕ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܪܒܝ ܐܬܐ ܒܬܪܟ ܠܐܬܪ ܕܐܙܠ ܐܢܬ

A scribe came, and said to him, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܬܥܠܐ ܢܩܥܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܠܦܪܚܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܡܛܠܠܐ ܒܪܗ ܕܝܢ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܗ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܢܣܡܘܟ ܪܫܗ

Jesus said to him,
“The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”

ܐܚܪܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܪܝ ܐܦܣ ܠܝ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܐܙܠ ܐܩܒܘܪ ܐܒܝ
'by 'qbwr 'zl lwqdm ly 'ps mry lh 'mr thlmydwhy mn dyn 'khrn'
Another of his disciples said to him, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”

ܝܫܘܥ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܬܐ ܒܬܪܝ ܘܫܒܘܩ ܠܡܝܬܐ ܩܒܪܝܢ ܡܝܬܝܗܘܢ

But Jesus said to him,
“Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.”

ܘܟܕ ܣܠܩ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܣܦܝܢܬܐ ܣܠܩܘ ܥܡܗ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ

When he got into a boat, his disciples followed him.

ܘܗܐ ܙܘܥܐ ܪܒܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܝܡܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܠܦܐ ܬܬܟܣܐ ܡܢ ܓܠܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܕܡܝܟ ܗܘܐ
hw' dmyk yshwe dyn hw gll' mn ththks' d'lp' 'ykn' bym' hw' rb' zwe' wh'
Behold, a violent storm came up on the sea, so much that the boat was covered with the waves, but he was asleep.

ܘܩܪܒܘ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܐܥܝܪܘܗܝ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܡܪܢ ܦܨܢ ܐܒܕܝܢ ܚܢܢ

They came to him, and woke him up, saying, “Save us, Lord! We are dying!”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܡܢܐ ܕܚܘܠܬܢܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܙܥܘܪܝ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܩܡ ܘܟܐܐ ܒܪܘܚܐ ܘܒܝܡܐ ܘܗܘܐ ܫܠܝܐ ܪܒܐ
rb' shly' whw' wbym' brwkh' wk'' qm hydyn hymnwth' zewry 'nthwn dkhwlthnyn lmn' yshwe lhwn 'mr
He said to them,
“Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?”
Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm.

ܐܢܫܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܬܕܡܪܘ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܡܢܘ ܗܢܐ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܘܝܡܐ ܡܫܬܡܥܝܢ ܠܗ
lh mshthmeyn wym' drwkh' hn' mnw w'mryn 'thdmrw dyn 'nsh'
The men marveled, saying, “What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

ܘܟܕ ܐܬܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܥܒܪܐ ܠܐܬܪܐ ܕܓܕܪܝܐ ܐܪܥܘܗܝ ܬܪܝܢ ܕܝܘܢܐ ܕܢܦܩܝܢ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܩܒܘܪܐ ܒܝܫܐ ܕܛܒ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܢܫܟܚ ܢܥܒܪ ܒܗܝ ܐܘܪܚܐ

When he came to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes,
two people possessed by demons met him there, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that nobody could pass that way.

ܘܩܥܘ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܡܐ ܠܢ ܘܠܟ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܬܝܬ ܠܟܐ ܩܕܡ ܙܒܢܐ ܕܬܫܢܩܢ

Behold, they cried out, saying, “What do we have to do with you, Jesus, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?”

ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܗܠ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܒܩܪܐ ܕܚܙܝܪܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܕܪܥܝܐ

Now there was a herd of many pigs feeding far away from them.

ܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܫܐܕܐ ܒܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܡܢܗ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܢ ܡܦܩ ܐܢܬ ܠܢ ܐܦܣ ܠܢ ܕܢܐܙܠ ܠܒܩܪܐ ܕܚܙܝܪܐ
dkhzyr' lbqr' dn'zl ln 'ps ln 'nth mpq 'n w'mryn mnh hww beyn sh'd' dyn hnwn
The demons begged him, saying, “If you cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of pigs.”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܙܠܘ ܘܡܚܕܐ ܢܦܩܘ ܘܥܠܘ ܒܚܙܝܪܐ ܘܟܠܗ ܒܩܪܐ ܗܝ ܬܪܨܬ ܠܥܠ ܠܫܩܝܦܐ ܘܢܦܠܘ ܒܝܡܐ ܘܡܝܬܘ ܒܡܝܐ

He said to them,
“Go!”
They came out, and went into the herd of pigs: and behold, the whole herd of pigs rushed down the cliff into the sea, and died in the water.

ܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܪܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܥܪܩܘ ܘܐܙܠܘ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܚܘܝܘ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܕܗܘܐ ܘܕܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܘܢܐ
dywn' wdhnwn dhw' klmdm wkhwyw lmdynth' w'zlw erqw hww dreyn dyn hnwn
Those who fed them fled, and went away into the city, and told everything, including what happened to those who were possessed with demons.
