ܒܕܝܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܕܝܢܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܬܬܕܝܢܘܢ ܘܒܟܝܠܬܐ ܕܡܟܝܠܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܬܬܟܝܠ ܠܟܘܢ
lkwn mththkyl 'nthwn dmkylyn wbkylth' ththdynwn 'nthwn ddynyn gyr bdyn'
For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.

ܡܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܚܙܐ ܐܢܬ ܓܠܐ ܕܒܥܝܢܗ ܕܐܚܘܟ ܘܩܪܝܬܐ ܕܒܥܝܢܟ ܠܐ ܒܚܪ ܐܢܬ
'nth bkhr l' dbeynk wqryth' d'khwk dbeynh gl' 'nth khz' dyn mn'
Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?

ܐܘ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܬ ܠܐܚܘܟ ܫܒܘܩ ܐܦܩ ܓܠܐ ܡܢ ܥܝܢܟ ܘܗܐ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܒܥܝܢܟ
beynk qryth' wh' eynk mn gl' 'pq shbwq l'khwk 'nth 'mr 'ykn' 'w
Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye;’ and behold, the beam is in your own eye?

ܢܣܒ ܒܐܦܐ ܐܦܩ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܡܢ ܥܝܢܟ ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܬܒܚܪ ܠܟ ܠܡܦܩܘ ܓܠܐ ܡܢ ܥܝܢܗ ܕܐܚܘܟ
d'khwk eynh mn gl' lmpqw lk nthbkhr whydyn eynk mn qryth' lwqdm 'pq b'p' nsb
You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye.

ܠܐ ܬܬܠܘܢ ܩܘܕܫܐ ܠܟܠܒܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܪܡܘܢ ܡܪܓܢܝܬܟܘܢ ܩܕܡ ܚܙܝܪܐ ܕܠܡܐ ܢܕܘܫܘܢ ܐܢܝܢ ܒܪܓܠܝܗܘܢ ܘܢܗܦܟܘܢ ܢܒܙܥܘܢܟܘܢ
nbzewnkwn wnhpkwn brglyhwn 'nyn ndwshwn dlm' khzyr' qdm mrgnythkwn thrmwn wl' lklb' qwdsh' ththlwn l'
“Don’t give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

ܫܐܠܘ ܘܢܬܝܗܒ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܥܘ ܘܬܫܟܚܘܢ ܩܘܫܘ ܘܢܬܦܬܚ ܠܟܘܢ
lkwn wnthpthkh qwshw wthshkkhwn bew lkwn wnthyhb sh'lw
“Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.

ܟܠ ܓܝܪ ܕܫܐܠ ܢܣܒ ܘܕܒܥܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܘܠܐܝܢܐ ܕܢܩܫ ܡܬܦܬܚ ܠܗ

For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.

ܐܘ ܡܢܘ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܕܢܫܐܠܝܘܗܝ ܒܪܗ ܠܚܡܐ ܠܡܐ ܟܐܦܐ ܡܘܫܛ ܠܗ

Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?

ܘܐܢ ܢܘܢܐ ܢܫܐܠܝܘܗܝ ܠܡܐ ܚܘܝܐ ܡܘܫܛ ܠܗ

Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent?

ܘܐܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܒܝܫܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܘܗܒܬܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܠܡܬܠ ܠܒܢܝܟܘܢ ܟܡܐ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܐܒܘܟܘܢ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ ܢܬܠ ܛܒܬܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܫܐܠܝܢ ܠܗ
lh dsh'lyn l'ylyn Tbth' nthl dbshmy' 'bwkwn ythyr'yth km' lbnykwn lmthl Tbth' mwhbth' 'nthwn ydeyn 'nthwn dbysh' 'nthwn hkyl w'n
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

ܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܨܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܢܥܒܕܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܢܝ ܐܢܫܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܥܒܕܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܗܢܘ ܓܝܪ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܘܢܒܝܐ
wnby' nmws' gyr hnw lhwn ebdw 'nthwn 'p hkn' 'nsh' bny lkwn dnebdwn 'nthwn dtsbyn m' kl
Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.

ܥܘܠܘ ܒܬܪܥܐ ܐܠܝܨܐ ܕܦܬܐ ܗܘ ܬܪܥܐ ܘܐܪܘܝܚܐ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܡܘܒܠܐ ܠܐܒܕܢܐ ܘܣܓܝܐܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܙܠܝܢ ܒܗ
bh d'zlyn 'ylyn 'nwn wsgy'' l'bdn' dmwbl' 'yd' 'wrkh' w'rwykh' thre' hw dpth' 'lyts' bthre' ewlw
“Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it.

ܡܐ ܩܛܝܢ ܬܪܥܐ ܘܐܠܝܨܐ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܡܘܒܠܐ ܠܚܝܐ ܘܙܥܘܪܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܠܗ

How
narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it.

ܐܙܕܗܪܘ ܡܢ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܓܠܐ ܕܐܬܝܢ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ ܒܠܒܘܫܐ ܕܐܡܪܐ ܡܢ ܠܓܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܕܐܒܐ ܚܛܘܦܐ
khTwp' d'b' 'ythyhwn dyn lgw mn d'mr' blbwsh' lwthkwn d'thyn dgl' nby' mn 'zdhrw
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.

ܡܢ ܦܐܪܝܗܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܬܕܥܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܡܐ ܠܩܛܝܢ ܡܢ ܟܘܒܐ ܥܢܒܐ ܐܘ ܡܢ ܩܘܪܛܒܐ ܬܐܢܐ
th'n' qwrTb' mn 'w enb' kwb' mn lqTyn lm' 'nwn thdewn dyn p'ryhwn mn
By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?

ܗܟܢܐ ܟܠ ܐܝܠܢܐ ܛܒܐ ܦܐܪܐ ܫܦܝܪܐ ܥܒܕ ܐܝܠܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܝܫܐ ܦܐܪܐ ܒܝܫܐ ܥܒܕ
ebd bysh' p'r' bysh' dyn 'yln' ebd shpyr' p'r' Tb' 'yln' kl hkn'
Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.

ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܐܝܠܢܐ ܛܒܐ ܦܐܪܐ ܒܝܫܐ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܘܠܐ ܐܝܠܢܐ ܒܝܫܐ ܦܐܪܐ ܛܒܐ ܠܡܥܒܕ
lmebd Tb' p'r' bysh' 'yln' wl' lmebd bysh' p'r' Tb' 'yln' mshkkh l'
A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.

ܟܠ ܐܝܠܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܥܒܕ ܦܐܪܐ ܛܒܐ ܡܬܦܣܩ ܘܒܢܘܪܐ ܢܦܠ

Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire.

ܡܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܦܐܪܝܗܘܢ ܬܕܥܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn thdewn p'ryhwn mn mdyn
Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܟܠ ܕܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܡܪܝ ܡܪܝ ܥܐܠ ܠܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܐܠܐ ܡܢ ܕܥܒܕ ܨܒܝܢܗ ܕܐܒܝ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ

Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

ܣܓܝܐܐ ܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܠܝ ܒܗܘ ܝܘܡܐ ܡܪܝ ܡܪܝ ܠܐ ܒܫܡܟ ܐܬܢܒܝܢ ܘܒܫܡܟ ܫܐܕܐ ܐܦܩܢ ܘܒܫܡܟ ܚܝܠܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܥܒܕܢ
ebdn sgy'' khyl' wbshmk 'pqn sh'd' wbshmk 'thnbyn bshmk l' mry mry ywm' bhw ly n'mrwn sgy''
Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’

ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܘܕܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܡܬܘܡ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܬܟܘܢ ܐܪܚܩܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܢܝ ܦܠܚܝ ܥܘܠܐ
ewl' plkhy mny lkwn 'rkhqw ydethkwn l' mthwm dmn lhwn 'wd' whydyn
Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’

ܟܠ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܫܡܥ ܡܠܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܘܥܒܕ ܠܗܝܢ ܢܬܕܡܐ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܚܟܝܡܐ ܗܘ ܕܒܢܐ ܒܝܬܗ ܥܠ ܫܘܥܐ

“Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.

ܘܢܚܬ ܡܛܪܐ ܘܐܬܘ ܢܗܪܘܬܐ ܘܢܫܒ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܐܬܛܪܝܘ ܒܗ ܒܒܝܬܐ ܗܘ ܘܠܐ ܢܦܠ ܫܬܐܣܘܗܝ ܓܝܪ ܥܠ ܫܘܥܐ ܣܝܡܢ ܗܘܝ

The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock.

ܘܟܠ ܡܢ ܕܫܡܥ ܡܠܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܥܒܕ ܠܗܝܢ ܢܬܕܡܐ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܣܟܠܐ ܕܒܢܐ ܒܝܬܗ ܥܠ ܚܠܐ
khl' el bythh dbn' skl' lgbr' nthdm' lhyn ebd wl' hlyn mly dshme mn wkl
Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand.

ܘܢܚܬ ܡܛܪܐ ܘܐܬܘ ܢܗܪܘܬܐ ܘܢܫܒ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܐܬܛܪܝܘ ܒܒܝܬܐ ܗܘ ܘܢܦܠ ܘܗܘܬ ܡܦܘܠܬܗ ܪܒܐ

The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”

ܘܗܘܐ ܕܟܕ ܫܠܡ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܠܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܬܗܝܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܟܢܫܐ ܥܠ ܝܘܠܦܢܗ

When Jesus had finished saying these things, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching,
