ܚܘܪܘ ܕܝܢ ܒܙܕܩܬܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܥܒܕܘܢܗ ܩܕܡ ܒܢܝ ܐܢܫܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܬܬܚܙܘܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܐܠܐ ܐܓܪܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܠܘܬ ܐܒܘܟܘܢ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ
dbshmy' 'bwkwn lwth lkwn lyth 'gr' w'l' lhwn dththkhzwn 'yk 'nsh' bny qdm thebdwnh dl' bzdqthkwn dyn khwrw
“Be careful that you don’t do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

ܐܡܬܝ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܥܒܕ ܐܢܬ ܙܕܩܬܐ ܠܐ ܬܩܪܐ ܩܪܢܐ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܐܝܟ ܕܥܒܕܝܢ ܢܣܒܝ ܒܐܦܐ ܒܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܘܒܫܘܩܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܢܫܬܒܚܘܢ ܡܢ ܒܢܝ ܐܢܫܐ ܘܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܩܒܠܘ ܐܓܪܗܘܢ
'grhwn dqblw lkwn 'n' 'mr w'myn 'nsh' bny mn dnshthbkhwn 'yk wbshwq' bknwshth' b'p' nsby debdyn 'yk qdmyk qrn' thqr' l' zdqth' 'nth debd hkyl 'mthy
Therefore when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.

ܐܢܬ ܕܝܢ ܡܐ ܕܥܒܕ ܐܢܬ ܙܕܩܬܐ ܠܐ ܬܕܥ ܣܡܠܟ ܡܢܐ ܥܒܕܐ ܝܡܝܢܟ
ymynk ebd' mn' smlk thde l' zdqth' 'nth debd m' dyn 'nth
But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does,

ܐܝܟ ܕܬܗܘܐ ܙܕܩܬܟ ܒܟܣܝܐ ܘܐܒܘܟ ܕܚܙܐ ܒܟܣܝܐ ܗܘ ܢܦܪܥܟ ܒܓܠܝܐ
bgly' nprek hw bksy' dkhz' w'bwk bksy' zdqthk dthhw' 'yk
so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

ܘܡܐ ܕܡܨܠܐ ܐܢܬ ܠܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܢܣܒܝ ܒܐܦܐ ܕܪܚܡܝܢ ܠܡܩܡ ܒܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܘܒܙܘܝܬܐ ܕܫܘܩܐ ܠܡܨܠܝܘ ܕܢܬܚܙܘܢ ܠܒܢܝ ܐܢܫܐ ܘܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܩܒܠܘ ܐܓܪܗܘܢ
'grhwn dqblw lkwn 'n' 'mr w'myn 'nsh' lbny dnthkhzwn lmtslyw dshwq' wbzwyth' bknwshth' lmqm drkhmyn b'p' nsby 'yk thhw' l' 'nth dmtsl' wm'
“When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward.

ܐܢܬ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܬܝ ܕܡܨܠܐ ܐܢܬ ܥܘܠ ܠܬܘܢܟ ܘܐܚܘܕ ܬܪܥܟ ܘܨܠܐ ܠܐܒܘܟ ܕܒܟܣܝܐ ܘܐܒܘܟ ܕܚܙܐ ܒܟܣܝܐ ܢܦܪܥܟ ܒܓܠܝܐ
bgly' nprek bksy' dkhz' w'bwk dbksy' l'bwk wtsl' threk w'khwd lthwnk ewl 'nth dmtsl' 'mthy dyn 'nth
But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

ܘܡܐ ܕܡܨܠܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܡܦܩܩܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܚܢܦܐ ܣܒܪܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܒܡܡܠܠܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܡܫܬܡܥܝܢ
mshthmeyn sgy'' dbmmll' gyr sbryn khnp' 'yk mpqqyn hwythwn l' 'nthwn dmtslyn wm'
In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.

ܠܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܬܕܡܘܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܒܘܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܝܕܥ ܡܢܐ ܡܬܒܥܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܥܕܠܐ ܬܫܐܠܘܢܝܗܝ
thsh'lwnyhy edl' lkwn mthbe' mn' yde gyr 'bwkwn lhwn thdmwn hkyl l'
Therefore don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him.

ܗܟܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܨܠܘ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܒܘܢ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ ܢܬܩܕܫ ܫܡܟ

Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.

ܬܐܬܐ ܡܠܟܘܬܟ ܢܗܘܐ ܨܒܝܢܟ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ ܐܦ ܒܐܪܥܐ
b're' 'p dbshmy' 'ykn' tsbynk nhw' mlkwthk th'th'
Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.

ܘܫܒܘܩ ܠܢ ܚܘܒܝܢ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܦ ܚܢܢ ܫܒܩܢ ܠܚܝܒܝܢ
lkhybyn shbqn khnn d'p 'ykn' khwbyn ln wshbwq
Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.

ܘܠܐ ܬܥܠܢ ܠܢܣܝܘܢܐ ܐܠܐ ܦܨܢ ܡܢ ܒܝܫܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܕܝܠܟ ܗܝ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܘܚܝܠܐ ܘܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ
elmyn lelm wthshbwkhth' wkhyl' mlkwth' hy ddylk mTl bysh' mn ptsn 'l' lnsywn' theln wl'
Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.’

ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܬܫܒܩܘܢ ܠܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܣܟܠܘܬܗܘܢ ܢܫܒܘܩ ܐܦ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܒܘܟܘܢ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ
dbshmy' 'bwkwn lkwn 'p nshbwq sklwthhwn lbnynsh' thshbqwn gyr 'n
“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܬܫܒܩܘܢ ܠܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܐܦܠܐ ܐܒܘܟܘܢ ܫܒܩ ܠܟܘܢ ܣܟܠܘܬܟܘܢ
sklwthkwn lkwn shbq 'bwkwn 'pl' lbnynsh' thshbqwn l' dyn 'n
But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

ܐܡܬܝ ܕܝܢ ܕܨܝܡܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܐ ܬܗܘܘܢ ܟܡܝܪܐ ܐܝܟ ܢܣܒܝ ܒܐܦܐ ܡܚܒܠܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܦܪܨܘܦܝܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܢܬܚܙܘܢ ܠܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܕܨܝܡܝܢ ܘܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܩܒܠܘ ܐܓܪܗܘܢ
'grhwn dqblw lkwn 'n' 'mr w'myn dtsymyn lbnynsh' dnthkhzwn 'yk prtswpyhwn gyr mkhblyn b'p' nsby 'yk kmyr' thhwwn l' 'nthwn dtsymyn dyn 'mthy
“Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.

ܐܢܬ ܕܝܢ ܡܐ ܕܨܐܡ ܐܢܬ ܐܫܝܓ ܐܦܝܟ ܘܡܫܘܚ ܪܫܟ

But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face;

ܐܝܟ ܕܠܐ ܬܬܚܙܐ ܠܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܕܨܐܡ ܐܢܬ ܐܠܐ ܠܐܒܘܟ ܕܒܟܣܝܐ ܘܐܒܘܟ ܕܚܙܐ ܒܟܣܝܐ ܗܘ ܢܦܪܥܟ
nprek hw bksy' dkhz' w'bwk dbksy' l'bwk 'l' 'nth dts'm lbnynsh' ththkhz' dl' 'yk
so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.

ܠܐ ܬܣܝܡܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܣܝܡܬܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܐܬܪ ܕܣܣܐ ܘܐܟܠܐ ܡܚܒܠܝܢ ܘܐܝܟܐ ܕܓܢܒܐ ܦܠܫܝܢ ܘܓܢܒܝܢ

“Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;

ܐܠܐ ܣܝܡܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܣܝܡܬܐ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܠܐ ܣܣܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܟܠܐ ܡܚܒܠܝܢ ܘܐܝܟܐ ܕܓܢܒܐ ܠܐ ܦܠܫܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܓܢܒܝܢ
gnbyn wl' plshyn l' dgnb' w'yk' mkhblyn 'kl' wl' ss' dl' 'yk' bshmy' symth' lkwn symw 'l'
but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal;

ܐܝܟܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܝܬܝܗ ܣܝܡܬܟܘܢ ܬܡܢ ܗܘ ܐܦ ܠܒܟܘܢ
lbkwn 'p hw thmn symthkwn d'ythyh gyr 'yk'
for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

ܫܪܓܐ ܕܦܓܪܐ ܐܝܬܝܗ ܥܝܢܐ ܐܢ ܥܝܢܟ ܗܟܝܠ ܬܗܘܐ ܦܫܝܛܐ ܐܦ ܟܠܗ ܦܓܪܟ ܢܗܝܪ ܗܘ

“The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light.

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܥܝܢܟ ܬܗܘܐ ܒܝܫܐ ܟܠܗ ܦܓܪܟ ܚܫܘܟܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܐܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܢܘܗܪܐ ܕܒܟ ܚܫܘܟܐ ܗܘ ܚܫܘܟܟ ܟܡܐ ܢܗܘܐ
nhw' km' khshwkk hw khshwk' dbk nwhr' hkyl 'n nhw' khshwk' pgrk klh bysh' thhw' eynk dyn 'n
But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

ܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܡܫܟܚ ܠܬܪܝܢ ܡܪܘܢ ܠܡܦܠܚ ܐܘ ܓܝܪ ܠܚܕ ܢܣܢܐ ܘܠܐܚܪܢܐ ܢܪܚܡ ܐܘ ܠܚܕ ܢܝܩܪ ܘܠܐܚܪܢܐ ܢܫܘܛ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܠܡܦܠܚ ܘܠܡܡܘܢܐ
wlmmwn' lmplkh l'lh' 'nthwn mshkkhyn l' nshwT wl'khrn' nyqr lkhd 'w nrkhm wl'khrn' nsn' lkhd gyr 'w lmplkh mrwn lthryn mshkkh 'nsh l'
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܠܐ ܬܐܨܦܘܢ ܠܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܬܐܟܠܘܢ ܘܡܢܐ ܬܫܬܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܠܦܓܪܟܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܬܠܒܫܘܢ ܠܐ ܗܐ ܢܦܫܐ ܝܬܝܪܐ ܡܢ ܣܝܒܪܬܐ ܘܦܓܪܐ ܡܢ ܠܒܘܫܐ
lbwsh' mn wpgr' sybrth' mn ythyr' npsh' h' l' thlbshwn mn' lpgrkwn wl' thshthwn wmn' th'klwn mn' lnpshkwn th'tspwn l' lkwn 'n' 'mr hn' mTl
Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

ܚܘܪܘ ܒܦܪܚܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܕܠܐ ܙܪܥܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܚܨܕܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܚܡܠܝܢ ܒܐܘܨܪܐ ܘܐܒܘܟܘܢ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ ܡܬܪܣܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܗܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܝܬܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܢܗܘܢ
mnhwn 'nthwn mythryn 'nthwn h' l' lhwn mthrs' dbshmy' w'bwkwn b'wtsr' khmlyn wl' khtsdyn wl' zreyn dl' dshmy' bprkhth' khwrw
See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?

ܡܢܘ ܕܝܢ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܟܕ ܝܨܦ ܡܫܟܚ ܠܡܘܣܦܘ ܥܠ ܩܘܡܬܗ ܐܡܬܐ ܚܕܐ

“Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment
to his lifespan?

ܘܥܠ ܠܒܘܫܐ ܡܢܐ ܝܨܦܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܬܒܩܘ ܒܫܘܫܢܐ ܕܕܒܪܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܪܒܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܠܐܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܥܙܠܢ
ezln wl' l'yn dl' rbyn 'ykn' ddbr' bshwshn' 'thbqw 'nthwn ytspyn mn' lbwsh' wel
Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin,

ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܐܦܠܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܒܟܠܗ ܫܘܒܚܗ ܐܬܟܣܝ ܐܝܟ ܚܕܐ ܡܢܗܝܢ
mnhyn khd' 'yk 'thksy shwbkhh bklh shlymwn d'pl' dyn lkwn 'n' 'mr
yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these.

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܠܥܡܝܪܐ ܕܚܩܠܐ ܕܝܘܡܢܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܘܡܚܪ ܢܦܠ ܒܬܢܘܪܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܡܠܒܫ ܠܐ ܣܓܝ ܝܬܝܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܙܥܘܪܝ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ
hymnwth' zewry lkwn ythyr sgy l' mlbsh hkn' 'lh' bthnwr' npl wmkhr 'ythwhy dywmn' dkhql' lemyr' dyn 'n
But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?

ܠܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܬܐܨܦܘܢ ܐܘ ܬܐܡܪܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܢܐܟܘܠ ܐܘ ܡܢܐ ܢܫܬܐ ܐܘ ܡܢܐ ܢܬܟܣܐ

“Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’

ܟܠܗܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܗܘ ܒܥܝܢ ܠܗܝܢ ܐܒܘܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ ܝܕܥ ܕܐܦ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܬܒܥܝܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ
klhyn hlyn mthbeyn lkwn d'p yde dbshmy' dyn 'bwkwn lhyn beyn hw emm' hlyn gyr klhyn
For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

ܒܥܘ ܕܝܢ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܙܕܝܩܘܬܗ ܘܟܠܗܝܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܡܬܬܘܣܦܢ ܠܟܘܢ
lkwn mththwspn hlyn wklhyn wzdyqwthh d'lh' mlkwthh lwqdm dyn bew
But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
