ܗܝܕܝܢ ܬܕܡܐ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܠܥܣܪ ܒܬܘܠܢ ܗܢܝܢ ܕܢܣܒ ܠܡܦܕܝܗܝܢ ܘܢܦܩ ܠܐܘܪܥ ܚܬܢܐ ܘܟܠܬܐ
wklth' khthn' l'wre wnpq lmpdyhyn dnsb hnyn bthwln lesr dshmy' mlkwth' thdm' hydyn
“Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went out to meet the bridegroom.

ܚܡܫ ܕܝܢ ܡܢܗܝܢ ܚܟܝܡܢ ܗܘܝ ܘܚܡܫ ܣܟܠܢ
skln wkhmsh hwy khkymn mnhyn dyn khmsh
Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.
3
ܘܗܢܝܢ ܣܟܠܬܐ ܢܣܒ ܠܡܦܕܝܗܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܣܒ ܥܡܗܝܢ ܡܫܚܐ
mshkh' emhyn nsb wl' lmpdyhyn nsb sklth' whnyn
Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them,

ܗܢܝܢ ܕܝܢ ܚܟܝܡܬܐ ܢܣܒ ܡܫܚܐ ܒܡܐܢܐ ܥܡ ܠܡܦܕܝܗܝܢ
lmpdyhyn em bm'n' mshkh' nsb khkymth' dyn hnyn
but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

ܟܕ ܐܘܚܪ ܕܝܢ ܚܬܢܐ ܢܡ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܘܕܡܟ
wdmk klhyn nm khthn' dyn 'wkhr kd
Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

ܘܒܦܠܓܗ ܕܠܠܝܐ ܗܘܬ ܩܥܬܐ ܗܐ ܚܬܢܐ ܐܬܐ ܦܘܩܘ ܠܐܘܪܥܗ
l'wreh pwqw 'th' khthn' h' qeth' hwth dlly' wbplgh
But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܩܡ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܒܬܘܠܬܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܘܬܩܢ ܠܡܦܕܝܗܝܢ
lmpdyhyn wthqn hlyn bthwlth' klhyn qm hydyn
Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

ܐܡܪܢ ܕܝܢ ܗܢܝܢ ܣܟܠܬܐ ܠܚܟܝܡܬܐ ܗܒܝܢ ܠܢ ܡܢ ܡܫܚܟܝܢ ܕܗܐ ܕܥܟܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܡܦܕܝܢ
lmpdyn lhwn dekw dh' mshkhkyn mn ln hbyn lkhkymth' sklth' hnyn dyn 'mrn
The foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’

ܥܢܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܚܟܝܡܬܐ ܘܐܡܪܢ ܠܡܐ ܠܐ ܢܣܦܩ ܠܢ ܘܠܟܝܢ ܐܠܐ ܙܠܝܢ ܠܘܬ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܙܒܢܝܢ ܘܙܒܢܝܢ ܠܟܝܢ
lkyn wzbnyn dmzbnyn 'ylyn lwth zlyn 'l' wlkyn ln nspq l' lm' w'mrn khkymth' hlyn eny
But the wise answered, saying, ‘What if there isn’t enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

ܘܟܕ ܐܙܠ ܠܡܙܒܢ ܐܬܐ ܚܬܢܐ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܛܝܒܢ ܗܘܝ ܥܠ ܥܡܗ ܠܒܝܬ ܚܠܘܠܐ ܘܐܬܬܚܕ ܬܪܥܐ
thre' w'ththkhd khlwl' lbyth emh el hwy dmTybn w'ylyn khthn' 'th' lmzbn 'zl wkd
While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut.

ܒܚܪܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܬܝ ܐܦ ܗܢܝܢ ܒܬܘܠܬܐ ܐܚܪܢܝܬܐ ܘܐܡܪܢ ܡܪܢ ܡܪܢ ܦܬܚ ܠܢ
ln pthkh mrn mrn w'mrn 'khrnyth' bthwlth' hnyn 'p 'thy dyn bkhrth'
Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܥܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܝܢ
lkyn 'n' yde dl' lkyn 'n' 'mr 'myn lhyn w'mr en' dyn hw
But he answered, ‘Most certainly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

ܐܬܬܥܝܪܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܝܘܡܐ ܗܘ ܘܠܐ ܠܫܥܬܐ
lsheth' wl' hw lywm' 'nthwn ydeyn dl' hkyl 'ththeyrw
Watch therefore, for you don’t know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

ܐܝܟ ܓܒܪܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܚܙܩ ܩܪܐ ܠܥܒܕܘܗܝ ܘܐܫܠܡ ܠܗܘܢ ܩܢܝܢܗ
qnynh lhwn w'shlm lebdwhy qr' dkhzq gyr gbr' 'yk
“For it is like a man, going into another country, who called his own servants, and entrusted his goods to them.

ܐܝܬ ܕܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܚܡܫ ܟܟܪܝܢ ܘܐܝܬ ܕܬܪܬܝܢ ܘܐܝܬ ܕܚܕܐ ܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܐܝܟ ܚܝܠܗ ܘܚܙܩ ܡܚܕܐ
mkhd' wkhzq khylh 'yk 'nsh 'nsh dkhd' w'yth dthrthyn w'yth kkryn khmsh lh dyhb 'yth
To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one; to each according to his own ability. Then he went on his journey.

ܐܙܠ ܕܝܢ ܗܘ ܕܢܣܒ ܚܡܫ ܟܟܪܝܢ ܐܬܬܓܪ ܒܗܝܢ ܘܝܬܪ ܚܡܫ ܐܚܪܢܝܢ
'khrnyn khmsh wythr bhyn 'ththgr kkryn khmsh dnsb hw dyn 'zl
Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.

ܘܗܟܘܬ ܐܦ ܗܘ ܕܬܪܬܝܢ ܐܬܬܓܪ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܐܚܪܢܝܢ
'khrnyn thrthyn 'ththgr dthrthyn hw 'p whkwth
In the same way, he also who got the two gained another two.

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܢܣܒ ܚܕܐ ܐܙܠ ܚܦܪ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܘܛܫܝ ܟܣܦܐ ܕܡܪܗ
dmrh ksp' wTshy b're' khpr 'zl khd' dnsb dyn hw
But he who received the one talent went away and dug in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

ܒܬܪ ܕܝܢ ܙܒܢܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܐܬܐ ܡܪܗܘܢ ܕܥܒܕܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܘܢܣܒ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܚܘܫܒܢܐ
khwshbn' mnhwn wnsb hnwn debd' mrhwn 'th' sgy'' zbn' dyn bthr
“Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and reconciled accounts with them.

ܘܩܪܒ ܗܘ ܕܢܣܒ ܗܘܐ ܚܡܫ ܟܟܪܝܢ ܘܩܪܒ ܚܡܫ ܐܚܪܢܝܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝ ܚܡܫ ܟܟܪܝܢ ܝܗܒܬ ܠܝ ܗܐ ܚܡܫ ܐܚܪܢܝܢ ܐܬܬܓܪܬ ܥܠܝܗܝܢ
elyhyn 'ththgrth 'khrnyn khmsh h' ly yhbth kkryn khmsh mry w'mr 'khrnyn khmsh wqrb kkryn khmsh hw' dnsb hw wqrb
He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents besides them.’

ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܪܗ ܐܝܘ ܥܒܕܐ ܛܒܐ ܘܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܥܠ ܩܠܝܠ ܡܗܝܡܢ ܗܘܝܬ ܥܠ ܣܓܝ ܐܩܝܡܟ ܥܘܠ ܠܚܕܘܬܗ ܕܡܪܟ
dmrk lkhdwthh ewl 'qymk sgy el hwyth mhymn qlyl el wmhymn' Tb' ebd' 'yw mrh lh 'mr
“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

ܘܩܪܒ ܗܘ ܕܬܪܬܝܢ ܟܟܪܘܗܝ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܟܟܪܝܢ ܝܗܒܬ ܠܝ ܗܐ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܐܚܪܢܝܢ ܐܬܬܓܪܬ ܥܠܝܗܝܢ
elyhyn 'ththgrth 'khrnyn thrthyn h' ly yhbth kkryn thrthyn mry w'mr kkrwhy dthrthyn hw wqrb
“He also who got the two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents besides them.’

ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܪܗ ܐܝܘ ܥܒܕܐ ܛܒܐ ܘܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܥܠ ܩܠܝܠ ܡܗܝܡܢ ܗܘܝܬ ܥܠ ܣܓܝ ܐܩܝܡܟ ܥܘܠ ܠܚܕܘܬܗ ܕܡܪܟ
dmrk lkhdwthh ewl 'qymk sgy el hwyth mhymn qlyl el wmhymn' Tb' ebd' 'yw mrh lh 'mr
“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

ܩܪܒ ܕܝܢ ܐܦ ܗܘ ܕܢܣܒ ܚܕܐ ܟܟܪܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝ ܝܕܥ ܗܘܝܬ ܠܟ ܕܓܒܪܐ ܐܢܬ ܩܫܝܐ ܘܚܨܕ ܐܢܬ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܠܐ ܙܪܥܬ ܘܡܟܢܫ ܐܢܬ ܡܢ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܠܐ ܒܕܪܬ
bdrth dl' 'yk' mn 'nth wmknsh zreth dl' 'yk' 'nth wkhtsd qshy' 'nth dgbr' lk hwyth yde mry w'mr kkr' khd' dnsb hw 'p dyn qrb
“He also who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter.

ܘܕܚܠܬ ܘܐܙܠܬ ܛܫܝܬܗ ܟܟܪܟ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܗܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܕܝܠܟ
dylk lk 'yth h' b're' kkrk Tshythh w'zlth wdkhlth
I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have what is yours.’

ܥܢܐ ܡܪܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܥܒܕܐ ܒܝܫܐ ܘܚܒܢܢܐ ܝܕܥ ܗܘܝܬ ܕܚܨܕ ܐܢܐ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܠܐ ܙܪܥܬ ܘܡܟܢܫ ܐܢܐ ܡܢ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܠܐ ܒܕܪܬ
bdrth dl' 'yk' mn 'n' wmknsh zreth dl' 'yk' 'n' dkhtsd hwyth yde wkhbnn' bysh' ebd' lh w'mr mrh en'
“But his lord answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn’t sow, and gather where I didn’t scatter.

ܘܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܟ ܕܬܪܡܐ ܟܣܦܝ ܥܠ ܦܬܘܪܐ ܘܐܬܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܐܢܐ ܘܬܒܥ ܗܘܝܬ ܕܝܠܝ ܥܡ ܪܒܝܬܗ
rbythh em dyly hwyth wthbe 'n' hwyth w'th' pthwr' el kspy dthrm' lk hw' wl'
You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest.

ܣܒܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܡܢܗ ܟܟܪܐ ܘܗܒܘܗ ܠܗܘ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܥܣܪ ܟܟܪܝܢ
kkryn esr lh d'yth lhw whbwh kkr' mnh hkyl sbw
Take away therefore the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents.

ܠܡܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܢܬܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܘܢܬܬܘܣܦ ܠܗ ܘܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܠܝܬ ܠܗ ܘܐܦ ܗܘ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܢܫܬܩܠ ܡܢܗ
mnh nshthql lh d'yth hw w'p lh dlyth dyn whw lh wnththwsp lh nthyhb lh d'yth gyr lmn
For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away.

ܘܠܥܒܕܐ ܒܛܝܠܐ ܐܦܩܘܗܝ ܠܚܫܘܟܐ ܒܪܝܐ ܬܡܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܟܝܐ ܘܚܘܪܩ ܫܢܐ
shn' wkhwrq bky' nhw' thmn bry' lkhshwk' 'pqwhy bTyl' wlebd'
Throw out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

ܡܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܒܫܘܒܚܗ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܡܠܐܟܘܗܝ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܥܡܗ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܬܒ ܥܠ ܬܪܢܘܣ ܕܫܘܒܚܗ
dshwbkhh thrnws el nthb hydyn emh qdysh' ml'kwhy wklhwn bshwbkhh d'nsh' brh dyn d'th' m'
“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

ܘܢܬܟܢܫܘܢ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܘܢܦܪܫ ܐܢܘܢ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܚܕ ܐܝܟ ܪܥܝܐ ܕܡܦܪܫ ܥܪܒܐ ܡܢ ܓܕܝܐ
gdy' mn erb' dmprsh rey' 'yk khd mn khd 'nwn wnprsh emm' klhwn qdmwhy wnthknshwn
Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

ܘܢܩܝܡ ܥܪܒܐ ܡܢ ܝܡܝܢܗ ܘܓܕܝܐ ܡܢ ܣܡܠܗ
smlh mn wgdy' ymynh mn erb' wnqym
He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܐܡܪ ܡܠܟܐ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܝܡܝܢܗ ܬܘ ܒܪܝܟܘܗܝ ܕܐܒܝ ܝܪܬܘ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܥܬܝܕܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܬܪܡܝܬܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ
delm' thrmythh mn lkwn hwth dethyd' mlkwth' yrthw d'by brykwhy thw ymynh dmn lhnwn mlk' n'mr hydyn
Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;

ܟܦܢܬ ܓܝܪ ܘܝܗܒܬܘܢ ܠܝ ܠܡܐܟܠ ܘܨܗܝܬ ܘܐܫܩܝܬܘܢܢܝ ܐܟܣܢܝܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܘܟܢܫܬܘܢܢܝ
wknshthwnny hwyth 'ksny' w'shqythwnny wtshyth lm'kl ly wyhbthwn gyr kpnth
for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in.

ܥܪܛܠܝܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܘܟܣܝܬܘܢܢܝ ܟܪܝܗ ܗܘܝܬ ܘܣܥܪܬܘܢܢܝ ܘܒܝܬ ܐܣܝܪܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܘܐܬܝܬܘܢ ܠܘܬܝ
lwthy w'thythwn hwyth 'syr' wbyth wserthwnny hwyth kryh wksythwnny hwyth erTly'
I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.’

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܠܗ ܗܢܘܢ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܡܪܢ ܐܡܬܝ ܚܙܝܢܟ ܕܟܦܢ ܐܢܬ ܘܬܪܣܝܢܟ ܐܘ ܕܨܗܐ ܐܢܬ ܘܐܫܩܝܢܟ
w'shqynk 'nth dtsh' 'w wthrsynk 'nth dkpn khzynk 'mthy mrn zdyq' hnwn lh n'mrwn hydyn
“Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink?

ܘܐܡܬܝ ܚܙܝܢܟ ܕܐܟܣܢܝܐ ܐܢܬ ܘܟܢܫܢܟ ܐܘ ܕܥܪܛܠܝ ܐܢܬ ܘܟܣܝܢܟ
wksynk 'nth derTly 'w wknshnk 'nth d'ksny' khzynk w'mthy
When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you?

ܘܐܡܬܝ ܚܙܝܢܟ ܟܪܝܗܐ ܐܘ ܒܝܬ ܐܣܝܪܐ ܘܐܬܝܢ ܠܘܬܟ
lwthk w'thyn 'syr' byth 'w kryh' khzynk w'mthy
When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’

ܘܥܢܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܟܡܐ ܕܥܒܕܬܘܢ ܠܚܕ ܡܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܚܝ ܙܥܘܪܐ ܠܝ ܗܘ ܥܒܕܬܘܢ
ebdthwn hw ly zewr' 'khy hlyn mn lkhd debdthwn dkm' lkwn 'n' 'mr 'myn lhwn w'mr mlk' wen'
“The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,
you did it to me.’

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܐܡܪ ܐܦ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܣܡܠܗ ܙܠܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܢܝ ܠܝܛܐ ܠܢܘܪܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܗܝ ܕܡܛܝܒܐ ܠܐܟܠܩܪܨܐ ܘܠܡܠܐܟܘܗܝ
wlml'kwhy l'klqrts' dmTyb' hy dlelm lnwr' lyT' mny lkwn zlw smlh dmn lhnwn 'p n'mr hydyn
Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;

ܟܦܢܬ ܓܝܪ ܘܠܐ ܝܗܒܬܘܢ ܠܝ ܠܡܐܟܠ ܘܨܗܝܬ ܘܠܐ ܐܫܩܝܬܘܢܢܝ
'shqythwnny wl' wtshyth lm'kl ly yhbthwn wl' gyr kpnth
for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;

ܘܐܟܣܢܝܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܘܠܐ ܟܢܫܬܘܢܢܝ ܘܥܪܛܠܝܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܘܠܐ ܟܣܝܬܘܢܢܝ ܘܟܪܝܗܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܘܒܝܬ ܐܣܝܪܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܘܠܐ ܣܥܪܬܘܢܢܝ
serthwnny wl' hwyth 'syr' wbyth hwyth wkryh' ksythwnny wl' hwyth werTly' knshthwnny wl' hwyth w'ksny'
I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܥܢܘܢ ܐܦ ܗܢܘܢ ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܡܪܢ ܐܡܬܝ ܚܙܝܢܟ ܟܦܢܐ ܐܘ ܨܗܝܐ ܐܘ ܐܟܣܢܝܐ ܐܘ ܥܪܛܠܝܐ ܐܘ ܟܪܝܗܐ ܐܘ ܒܝܬ ܐܣܝܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܫܡܫܢܟ
shmshnk wl' 'syr' byth 'w kryh' 'w erTly' 'w 'ksny' 'w tshy' 'w kpn' khzynk 'mthy mrn wn'mrwn hnwn 'p nenwn hydyn
“Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܥܢܐ ܘܢܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܟܡܐ ܕܠܐ ܥܒܕܬܘܢ ܠܚܕ ܡܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܙܥܘܪܐ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܠܝ ܥܒܕܬܘܢ
ebdthwn ly l' 'p zewr' hlyn mn lkhd ebdthwn dl' dkm' lkwn 'n' 'mr 'myn lhwn wn'mr nen' hydyn
“Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’
