ܘܢܦܩ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܢ ܗܝܟܠܐ ܠܡܐܙܠ ܘܩܪܒܘ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܡܚܘܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ ܒܢܝܢܗ ܕܗܝܟܠܐ

Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way. His disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܗܐ ܚܙܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܫܬܒܩ ܗܪܟܐ ܟܐܦ ܥܠ ܟܐܦ ܕܠܐ ܬܣܬܬܪ
hw dyn 'mr lhwn l' h' khzyn 'nthwn hlyn klhyn 'myn 'mr 'n' lkwn dl' thshthbq hrk' k'p el k'p dl' thsththr
But he answered them,
“You see all of these things, don’t you? Most certainly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone on another, that will not be thrown down.”

ܘܟܕ ܝܬܒ ܝܫܘܥ ܥܠ ܛܘܪܐ ܕܙܝܬܐ ܩܪܒܘ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܒܝܢܝܗܘܢ ܘܠܗ ܐܡܪ ܠܢ ܐܡܬܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܘܡܢܐ ܗܝ ܐܬܐ ܕܡܐܬܝܬܟ ܘܕܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ

As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?”

ܥܢܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܙܕܗܪܘ ܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܢܛܥܝܟܘܢ

Jesus answered them,
“Be careful that no one leads you astray.

ܣܓܝܐܐ ܓܝܪ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܒܫܡܝ ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܣܓܝܐܐ ܢܛܥܘܢ
sgy'' gyr n'thwn bshmy wn'mrwn d'n' 'n' mshykh' wsgy'' nTewn
For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will lead many astray.

ܥܬܝܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܠܡܫܡܥ ܩܐܪܣܐ ܘܫܡܥܐ ܕܩܪܒܐ ܚܙܘ ܠܐ ܬܬܕܘܕܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܟܠܗܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܐܠܐ ܠܐ ܥܕܟܝܠ ܫܘܠܡܐ
ethydyn 'nthwn dyn lmshme q'rs' wshme' dqrb' khzw l' ththdwdwn wl' gyr dklhyn nhwyn 'l' l' edkyl shwlm'
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren’t troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet.

ܢܩܘܡ ܓܝܪ ܥܡܐ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܘܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܥܠ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܟܦܢܐ ܘܡܘܬܢܐ ܘܙܘܥܐ ܒܕܘܟܐ ܕܘܟܐ
nqwm gyr em' el em' wmlkwth' el mlkwth' wnhwwn kpn' wmwthn' wzwe' bdwk' dwk'
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places.

ܗܠܝܢ ܕܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܪܫܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܕܚܒܠܐ
hlyn dyn klhyn rsh' 'nyn dkhbl'
But all these things are the beginning of birth pains.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܫܠܡܘܢܟܘܢ ܠܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܘܢܩܛܠܘܢܟܘܢ ܘܬܗܘܘܢ ܣܢܝܐܝܢ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܡܛܠ ܫܡܝ
hydyn nshlmwnkwn l'wltsn' wnqTlwnkwn wthhwwn sny'yn mn klhwn emm' mTl shmy
Then they will deliver you up to oppression, and will kill you. You will be hated by all of the nations for my name’s sake.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܬܟܫܠܘܢ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܘܢܣܢܘܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ ܘܢܫܠܡܘܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ

Then many will stumble, and will deliver up one another, and will hate one another.

ܘܣܓܝܐܐ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܓܠܐ ܢܩܘܡܘܢ ܘܢܛܥܘܢ ܠܣܓܝܐܐ
wsgy'' nby' dgl' nqwmwn wnTewn lsgy''
Many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray.

ܘܡܛܠ ܣܓܝܐܘܬ ܥܘܠܐ ܢܦܘܓ ܚܘܒܐ ܕܣܓܝܐܐ
wmTl sgy'wth ewl' npwg khwb' dsgy''
Because iniquity will be multiplied, the love of many will grow cold.

ܡܢ ܕܢܣܝܒܪ ܕܝܢ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܚܪܬܐ ܗܘ ܢܚܐ
mn dnsybr dyn edm' lkhrth' hw nkh'
But he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.

ܘܬܬܟܪܙ ܗܕܐ ܣܒܪܬܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܒܟܠܗ ܥܠܡܐ ܠܣܗܕܘܬܐ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܐܬܐ ܫܘܠܡܐ
wththkrz hd' sbrth' dmlkwth' bklh elm' lshdwth' dklhwn emm' whydyn n'th' shwlm'
This Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

ܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܐܬܐ ܛܢܦܬܐ ܕܚܘܪܒܐ ܕܐܬܐܡܪ ܒܕܢܝܐܝܠ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܩܝܡܐ ܒܕܘܟܬܐ ܩܕܝܫܬܐ ܗܘ ܕܩܪܐ ܢܣܬܟܠ
m' dyn dkhzythwn 'th' Tnpth' dkhwrb' d'th'mr bdny'yl nby' dqym' bdwkth' qdyshth' hw dqr' nsthkl
“When, therefore, you see the abomination of desolation,
which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܝܗܘܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܢܥܪܩܘܢ ܠܛܘܪܐ

then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

ܘܗܘ ܕܒܐܓܪܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܢܚܘܬ ܠܡܣܒ ܕܒܒܝܬܗ
whw db'gr' hw l' nkhwth lmsb dbbythh
Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take out the things that are in his house.

ܘܐܝܢܐ ܕܒܚܩܠܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܢܬܗܦܟ ܠܒܣܬܪܗ ܠܡܣܒ ܠܒܫܗ

Let him who is in the field not return back to get his clothes.

ܘܝ ܕܝܢ ܠܒܛܢܬܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܝܢܩܢ ܒܗܢܘܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ
wy dyn lbTnth' wl'ylyn dmynqn bhnwn ywmth'
But woe to those who are with child and to nursing mothers in those days!

ܨܠܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܥܪܘܩܝܟܘܢ ܒܣܬܘܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܫܒܬܐ
tslw dyn dl' nhw' erwqykwn bsthw' wl' bshbth'
Pray that your flight will not be in the winter, nor on a Sabbath,

ܢܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܪܫܝܬܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܗܫܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ
nhw' gyr hydyn 'wltsn' rb' 'yn' dl' hw' mn rshythh delm' wedm' lhsh' wl' nhw'
for then there will be great oppression, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be.

ܘܐܠܘ ܠܐ ܐܬܟܪܝܘ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܠܐ ܚܝܐ ܗܘܐ ܟܠ ܒܣܪ ܡܛܠ ܓܒܝܐ ܕܝܢ ܢܬܟܪܘܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ
w'lw l' 'thkryw ywmth' hnwn l' khy' hw' kl bsr mTl gby' dyn nthkrwn ywmth' hnwn
Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܢܐܡܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܐ ܗܪܟܐ ܗܘ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܐܘ ܗܪܟܐ ܠܐ ܬܗܝܡܢܘܢ
hydyn 'n 'nsh n'mr lkwn h' hrk' hw mshykh' 'w hrk' l' thhymnwn
“Then if any man tells you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or, ‘There,’ don’t believe it.

ܢܩܘܡܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܓܠܐ ܘܢܒܝܐ ܕܟܕܒܘܬܐ ܘܢܬܠܘܢ ܐܬܘܬܐ ܪܘܪܒܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܢܛܥܘܢ ܐܢ ܡܫܟܚܐ ܐܦ ܠܓܒܝܐ
nqwmwn gyr mshykh' dgl' wnby' dkdbwth' wnthlwn 'thwth' rwrbth' 'yk dnTewn 'n mshkkh' 'p lgby'
For there will arise false christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

ܐܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܐ ܒܚܘܪܒܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܬܦܩܘܢ ܐܘ ܕܗܐ ܒܬܘܢܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܬܗܝܡܢܘܢ
'n hkyl n'mrwn lkwn h' bkhwrb' hw l' thpqwn 'w dh' bthwn' hw l' thhymnwn
If therefore they tell you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ don’t go out; ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ don’t believe it.

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܒܪܩܐ ܢܦܩ ܡܢ ܡܕܢܚܐ ܘܡܬܚܙܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܡܥܪܒܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܡܐܬܝܬܗ ܕܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ
'ykn' gyr dbrq' npq mn mdnkh' wmthkhz' edm' lmerb' hkn' thhw' m'thythh dbrh d'nsh'
For as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

ܐܝܟܐ ܕܐܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܦܓܪܐ ܬܡܢ ܢܬܟܢܫܘܢ ܢܫܪܐ
'yk' d'n nhw' pgr' thmn nthknshwn nshr'
For wherever the carcass is, that is where the vultures
gather together.

ܡܚܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܬܪ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܕܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܫܡܫܐ ܢܚܫܟ ܘܣܗܪܐ ܠܐ ܢܚܘܐ ܢܘܗܪܗ ܘܟܘܟܒܐ ܢܦܠܘܢ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܚܝܠܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܢܬܬܙܝܥܘܢ
mkhd' dyn bthr 'wltsn' dywmth' hnwn shmsh' nkhshk wshr' l' nkhw' nwhrh wkwkb' nplwn mn shmy' wkhyl' dshmy' nththzyewn
But immediately after the oppression of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;

ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܬܚܙܐ ܢܝܫܗ ܕܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܪܩܕܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܫܪܒܬܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܘܢܚܙܘܢ ܠܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܥܠ ܥܢܢܝ ܫܡܝܐ ܥܡ ܚܝܠܐ ܘܫܘܒܚܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ
whydyn nthkhz' nyshh dbrh d'nsh' bshmy' whydyn nrqdn klhyn shrbth' d're' wnkhzwn lbrh d'nsh' d'th' el enny shmy' em khyl' wshwbkh' sgy''
and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.

ܘܢܫܕܪ ܡܠܐܟܘܗܝ ܥܡ ܫܝܦܘܪܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܢܟܢܫܘܢ ܠܓܒܝܐ ܕܝܠܗ ܡܢ ܐܪܒܥܬ ܪܘܚܐ ܡܢ ܪܫܗܘܢ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܪܫܗܘܢ
wnshdr ml'kwhy em shypwr' rb' wnknshwn lgby' dylh mn 'rbeth rwkh' mn rshhwn dshmy' wedm' lrshhwn
He will send out his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

ܡܢ ܬܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܝܠܦܘ ܦܠܐܬܐ ܕܡܚܕܐ ܕܣܘܟܝܗ ܪܟܢ ܘܦܪܥܝܢ ܛܪܦܝܗ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܡܛܐ ܩܝܛܐ
mn thth' dyn ylpw pl'th' dmkhd' dswkyh rkn wpreyn Trpyh ydeyn 'nthwn dmT' qyT'
“Now from the fig tree learn this parable. When its branch has now become tender, and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܐ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܕܥܘ ܕܡܛܬ ܠܗ ܠܬܪܥܐ
hkn' 'p 'nthwn m' dkhzythwn hlyn klhyn dew dmTth lh lthre'
Even so you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܥܒܪ ܫܪܒܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ
'myn 'mr 'n' lkwn dl' thebr shrbth' hd' edm' dhlyn klhyn nhwyn
Most certainly I tell you, this generation
will not pass away, until all these things are accomplished.

ܫܡܝܐ ܘܐܪܥܐ ܢܥܒܪܘܢ ܘܡܠܝ ܠܐ ܢܥܒܪܢ
shmy' w're' nebrwn wmly l' nebrn
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

ܥܠ ܝܘܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܗܘ ܘܥܠ ܫܥܬܐ ܗܝ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܦܠܐ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܒܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ
el ywm' dyn hw wel sheth' hy 'nsh l' yde 'pl' ml'k' dshmy' 'l' 'b' blkhwd
But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven,
but my Father only.

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܝܘܡܝ ܢܘܚ ܗܟܢܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܡܐܬܝܬܗ ܕܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ
'ykn' dyn dywmy nwkh hkn' thhw' m'thythh dbrh d'nsh'
“As the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܗܘܘ ܩܕܡ ܛܘܦܢܐ ܐܟܠܝܢ ܘܫܬܝܢ ܘܢܣܒܝܢ ܢܫܐ ܘܝܗܒܝܢ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܐ ܕܥܠ ܢܘܚ ܠܟܘܝܠܐ
'ykn' gyr d'ythyhwn hww qdm Twpn' 'klyn wshthyn wnsbyn nsh' wyhbyn lgbr' edm' lywm' del nwkh lkwyl'
For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship,

ܘܠܐ ܝܕܥܘ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܛܘܦܢܐ ܘܫܩܠ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܡܐܬܝܬܗ ܕܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ
wl' ydew edm' d'th' Twpn' wshql lklhwn hkn' thhw' m'thythh dbrh d'nsh'
and they didn’t know until the flood came, and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܬܪܝܢ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܒܩܪܝܬܐ ܚܕ ܢܬܕܒܪ ܘܚܕ ܢܫܬܒܩ
hydyn thryn nhwwn bqryth' khd nthdbr wkhd nshthbq
Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and one will be left.

ܘܬܪܬܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܛܚܢܢ ܒܪܚܝܐ ܚܕܐ ܡܬܕܒܪܐ ܘܚܕܐ ܡܫܬܒܩܐ
wthrthyn nhwyn Tkhnn brkhy' khd' mthdbr' wkhd' mshthbq'
Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and one will be left.
42
ܐܬܬܥܝܪܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܫܥܬܐ ܐܬܐ ܡܪܟܘܢ
'ththeyrw hkyl dl' ydeyn 'nthwn b'yd' sheth' 'th' mrkwn
Watch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes.

ܗܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܥܘ ܕܐܠܘ ܝܕܥ ܗܘܐ ܡܪܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܡܛܪܬܐ ܐܬܐ ܓܢܒܐ ܡܬܬܥܝܪ ܗܘܐ ܘܠܐ ܫܒܩ ܗܘܐ ܕܢܬܦܠܫ ܒܝܬܗ
hd' dyn dew d'lw yde hw' mr' byth' b'yd' mTrth' 'th' gnb' mththeyr hw' wl' shbq hw' dnthplsh bythh
But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܗܘܘ ܡܛܝܒܝܢ ܕܒܫܥܬܐ ܕܠܐ ܣܒܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܢܐܬܐ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ
mTl hn' 'p 'nthwn hww mTybyn dbsheth' dl' sbryn 'nthwn n'th' brh d'nsh'
Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don’t expect, the Son of Man will come.

ܡܢܘ ܟܝ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܥܒܕܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܘܚܟܝܡܐ ܕܐܩܝܡܗ ܡܪܗ ܥܠ ܒܢܝ ܒܝܬܗ ܕܢܬܠ ܠܗܘܢ ܣܝܒܪܬܐ ܒܙܒܢܗ
mnw ky 'ythwhy ebd' mhymn' wkhkym' d'qymh mrh el bny bythh dnthl lhwn sybrth' bzbnh
“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season?

ܛܘܒܘܗܝ ܠܥܒܕܐ ܗܘ ܕܢܐܬܐ ܡܪܗ ܢܫܟܚܝܘܗܝ ܕܥܒܕ ܗܟܢܐ
Twbwhy lebd' hw dn'th' mrh nshkkhywhy debd hkn'
Blessed is that servant whom his lord finds doing so when he comes.
47
ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܢܩܝܡܝܘܗܝ ܥܠ ܟܠ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ
'myn 'mr 'n' lkwn dnqymywhy el kl d'yth lh
Most certainly I tell you that he will set him over all that he has.
48
ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܢܐܡܪ ܥܒܕܐ ܗܘ ܒܝܫܐ ܒܠܒܗ ܕܡܪܝ ܡܘܚܪ ܠܡܐܬܐ
'n dyn n'mr ebd' hw bysh' blbh dmry mwkhr lm'th'
But if that evil servant should say in his heart, ‘My lord is delaying his coming,’
49
ܘܢܫܪܐ ܠܡܡܚܐ ܟܢܘܬܗ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܐܟܠ ܘܫܬܐ ܥܡ ܪܘܝܐ
wnshr' lmmkh' knwthh wnhw' 'kl wshth' em rwy'
and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eat and drink with the drunkards,
50
