ܘܢܦܩ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܢ ܗܝܟܠܐ ܠܡܐܙܠ ܘܩܪܒܘ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܡܚܘܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ ܒܢܝܢܗ ܕܗܝܟܠܐ
dhykl' bnynh lh hww mkhwyn thlmydwhy wqrbw lm'zl hykl' mn yshwe wnpq
Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way. His disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܗܐ ܚܙܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܫܬܒܩ ܗܪܟܐ ܟܐܦ ܥܠ ܟܐܦ ܕܠܐ ܬܣܬܬܪ

But he answered them, “You see all of these things, don’t you? Most certainly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone on another, that will not be thrown down.”

ܘܟܕ ܝܬܒ ܝܫܘܥ ܥܠ ܛܘܪܐ ܕܙܝܬܐ ܩܪܒܘ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܒܝܢܝܗܘܢ ܘܠܗ ܐܡܪ ܠܢ ܐܡܬܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܘܡܢܐ ܗܝ ܐܬܐ ܕܡܐܬܝܬܟ ܘܕܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ

As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?”

ܥܢܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܙܕܗܪܘ ܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܢܛܥܝܟܘܢ
nTeykwn 'nsh l' 'zdhrw lhwn w'mr yshwe en'
Jesus answered them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray.

ܣܓܝܐܐ ܓܝܪ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܒܫܡܝ ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܣܓܝܐܐ ܢܛܥܘܢ
nTewn wsgy'' mshykh' 'n' d'n' wn'mrwn bshmy n'thwn gyr sgy''
For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will lead many astray.

ܥܬܝܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܠܡܫܡܥ ܩܐܪܣܐ ܘܫܡܥܐ ܕܩܪܒܐ ܚܙܘ ܠܐ ܬܬܕܘܕܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܟܠܗܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܐܠܐ ܠܐ ܥܕܟܝܠ ܫܘܠܡܐ
shwlm' edkyl l' 'l' nhwyn dklhyn gyr wl' ththdwdwn l' khzw dqrb' wshme' q'rs' lmshme dyn 'nthwn ethydyn
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren’t troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet.

ܢܩܘܡ ܓܝܪ ܥܡܐ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܘܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܥܠ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܟܦܢܐ ܘܡܘܬܢܐ ܘܙܘܥܐ ܒܕܘܟܐ ܕܘܟܐ
dwk' bdwk' wzwe' wmwthn' kpn' wnhwwn mlkwth' el wmlkwth' em' el em' gyr nqwm
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places.

ܗܠܝܢ ܕܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܪܫܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܕܚܒܠܐ
dkhbl' 'nyn rsh' klhyn dyn hlyn
But all these things are the beginning of birth pains.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܫܠܡܘܢܟܘܢ ܠܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܘܢܩܛܠܘܢܟܘܢ ܘܬܗܘܘܢ ܣܢܝܐܝܢ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܡܛܠ ܫܡܝ
shmy mTl emm' klhwn mn sny'yn wthhwwn wnqTlwnkwn l'wltsn' nshlmwnkwn hydyn
Then they will deliver you up to oppression, and will kill you. You will be hated by all of the nations for my name’s sake.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܬܟܫܠܘܢ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܘܢܣܢܘܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ ܘܢܫܠܡܘܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ
lkhd khd wnshlmwn lkhd khd wnsnwn sgy'' nthkshlwn hydyn
Then many will stumble, and will deliver up one another, and will hate one another.

ܘܣܓܝܐܐ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܓܠܐ ܢܩܘܡܘܢ ܘܢܛܥܘܢ ܠܣܓܝܐܐ
lsgy'' wnTewn nqwmwn dgl' nby' wsgy''
Many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray.

ܘܡܛܠ ܣܓܝܐܘܬ ܥܘܠܐ ܢܦܘܓ ܚܘܒܐ ܕܣܓܝܐܐ
dsgy'' khwb' npwg ewl' sgy'wth wmTl
Because iniquity will be multiplied, the love of many will grow cold.

ܡܢ ܕܢܣܝܒܪ ܕܝܢ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܚܪܬܐ ܗܘ ܢܚܐ
nkh' hw lkhrth' edm' dyn dnsybr mn
But he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.

ܘܬܬܟܪܙ ܗܕܐ ܣܒܪܬܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܒܟܠܗ ܥܠܡܐ ܠܣܗܕܘܬܐ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܐܬܐ ܫܘܠܡܐ
shwlm' n'th' whydyn emm' dklhwn lshdwth' elm' bklh dmlkwth' sbrth' hd' wththkrz
This Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

ܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܐܬܐ ܛܢܦܬܐ ܕܚܘܪܒܐ ܕܐܬܐܡܪ ܒܕܢܝܐܝܠ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܩܝܡܐ ܒܕܘܟܬܐ ܩܕܝܫܬܐ ܗܘ ܕܩܪܐ ܢܣܬܟܠ

“When, therefore, you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܝܗܘܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܢܥܪܩܘܢ ܠܛܘܪܐ
lTwr' nerqwn 'nwn dbyhwd 'ylyn hydyn
then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

ܘܗܘ ܕܒܐܓܪܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܢܚܘܬ ܠܡܣܒ ܕܒܒܝܬܗ
dbbythh lmsb nkhwth l' hw db'gr' whw
Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take out the things that are in his house.

ܘܐܝܢܐ ܕܒܚܩܠܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܢܬܗܦܟ ܠܒܣܬܪܗ ܠܡܣܒ ܠܒܫܗ
lbshh lmsb lbsthrh nthhpk l' hw dbkhql' w'yn'
Let him who is in the field not return back to get his clothes.

ܘܝ ܕܝܢ ܠܒܛܢܬܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܝܢܩܢ ܒܗܢܘܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ
ywmth' bhnwn dmynqn wl'ylyn lbTnth' dyn wy
But woe to those who are with child and to nursing mothers in those days!

ܨܠܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܥܪܘܩܝܟܘܢ ܒܣܬܘܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܫܒܬܐ
bshbth' wl' bsthw' erwqykwn nhw' dl' dyn tslw
Pray that your flight will not be in the winter, nor on a Sabbath,

ܢܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܪܫܝܬܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܗܫܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ
nhw' wl' lhsh' wedm' delm' rshythh mn hw' dl' 'yn' rb' 'wltsn' hydyn gyr nhw'
for then there will be great oppression, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be.

ܘܐܠܘ ܠܐ ܐܬܟܪܝܘ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܠܐ ܚܝܐ ܗܘܐ ܟܠ ܒܣܪ ܡܛܠ ܓܒܝܐ ܕܝܢ ܢܬܟܪܘܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ
hnwn ywmth' nthkrwn dyn gby' mTl bsr kl hw' khy' l' hnwn ywmth' 'thkryw l' w'lw
Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܢܐܡܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܐ ܗܪܟܐ ܗܘ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܐܘ ܗܪܟܐ ܠܐ ܬܗܝܡܢܘܢ

“Then if any man tells you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or, ‘There,’ don’t believe it.

ܢܩܘܡܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܓܠܐ ܘܢܒܝܐ ܕܟܕܒܘܬܐ ܘܢܬܠܘܢ ܐܬܘܬܐ ܪܘܪܒܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܢܛܥܘܢ ܐܢ ܡܫܟܚܐ ܐܦ ܠܓܒܝܐ
lgby' 'p mshkkh' 'n dnTewn 'yk rwrbth' 'thwth' wnthlwn dkdbwth' wnby' dgl' mshykh' gyr nqwmwn
For there will arise false christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

ܗܐ ܩܕܡܬ ܐܡܪܬ ܠܟܘܢ
lkwn 'mrth qdmth h'
“Behold, I have told you beforehand.

ܐܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܐ ܒܚܘܪܒܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܬܦܩܘܢ ܐܘ ܕܗܐ ܒܬܘܢܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܬܗܝܡܢܘܢ
thhymnwn l' hw bthwn' dh' 'w thpqwn l' hw bkhwrb' h' lkwn n'mrwn hkyl 'n
If therefore they tell you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ don’t go out; ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ don’t believe it.

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܒܪܩܐ ܢܦܩ ܡܢ ܡܕܢܚܐ ܘܡܬܚܙܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܡܥܪܒܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܡܐܬܝܬܗ ܕܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ
d'nsh' dbrh m'thythh thhw' hkn' lmerb' edm' wmthkhz' mdnkh' mn npq dbrq' gyr 'ykn'
For as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

ܐܝܟܐ ܕܐܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܦܓܪܐ ܬܡܢ ܢܬܟܢܫܘܢ ܢܫܪܐ
nshr' nthknshwn thmn pgr' nhw' d'n 'yk'
For wherever the carcass is, that is where the vultures gather together.

ܡܚܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܬܪ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܕܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܫܡܫܐ ܢܚܫܟ ܘܣܗܪܐ ܠܐ ܢܚܘܐ ܢܘܗܪܗ ܘܟܘܟܒܐ ܢܦܠܘܢ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܚܝܠܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܢܬܬܙܝܥܘܢ
nththzyewn dshmy' wkhyl' shmy' mn nplwn wkwkb' nwhrh nkhw' l' wshr' nkhshk shmsh' hnwn dywmth' 'wltsn' bthr dyn mkhd'
But immediately after the oppression of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;

ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܬܚܙܐ ܢܝܫܗ ܕܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܪܩܕܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܫܪܒܬܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܘܢܚܙܘܢ ܠܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܥܠ ܥܢܢܝ ܫܡܝܐ ܥܡ ܚܝܠܐ ܘܫܘܒܚܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ
sgy'' wshwbkh' khyl' em shmy' enny el d'th' d'nsh' lbrh wnkhzwn d're' shrbth' klhyn nrqdn whydyn bshmy' d'nsh' dbrh nyshh nthkhz' whydyn
and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.

ܘܢܫܕܪ ܡܠܐܟܘܗܝ ܥܡ ܫܝܦܘܪܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܢܟܢܫܘܢ ܠܓܒܝܐ ܕܝܠܗ ܡܢ ܐܪܒܥܬ ܪܘܚܐ ܡܢ ܪܫܗܘܢ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܪܫܗܘܢ
lrshhwn wedm' dshmy' rshhwn mn rwkh' 'rbeth mn dylh lgby' wnknshwn rb' shypwr' em ml'kwhy wnshdr
He will send out his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

ܡܢ ܬܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܝܠܦܘ ܦܠܐܬܐ ܕܡܚܕܐ ܕܣܘܟܝܗ ܪܟܢ ܘܦܪܥܝܢ ܛܪܦܝܗ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܡܛܐ ܩܝܛܐ
qyT' dmT' 'nthwn ydeyn Trpyh wpreyn rkn dswkyh dmkhd' pl'th' ylpw dyn thth' mn
“Now from the fig tree learn this parable. When its branch has now become tender, and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܐ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܕܥܘ ܕܡܛܬ ܠܗ ܠܬܪܥܐ
lthre' lh dmTth dew klhyn hlyn dkhzythwn m' 'nthwn 'p hkn'
Even so you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܥܒܪ ܫܪܒܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ
nhwyn klhyn dhlyn edm' hd' shrbth' thebr dl' lkwn 'n' 'mr 'myn
Most certainly I tell you, this generation will not pass away, until all these things are accomplished.

ܫܡܝܐ ܘܐܪܥܐ ܢܥܒܪܘܢ ܘܡܠܝ ܠܐ ܢܥܒܪܢ
nebrn l' wmly nebrwn w're' shmy'
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
36
ܥܠ ܝܘܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܗܘ ܘܥܠ ܫܥܬܐ ܗܝ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܦܠܐ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܒܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ
blkhwd 'b' 'l' dshmy' ml'k' 'pl' yde l' 'nsh hy sheth' wel hw dyn ywm' el
But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܝܘܡܝ ܢܘܚ ܗܟܢܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܡܐܬܝܬܗ ܕܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ
d'nsh' dbrh m'thythh thhw' hkn' nwkh dywmy dyn 'ykn'
“As the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܗܘܘ ܩܕܡ ܛܘܦܢܐ ܐܟܠܝܢ ܘܫܬܝܢ ܘܢܣܒܝܢ ܢܫܐ ܘܝܗܒܝܢ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܐ ܕܥܠ ܢܘܚ ܠܟܘܝܠܐ
lkwyl' nwkh del lywm' edm' lgbr' wyhbyn nsh' wnsbyn wshthyn 'klyn Twpn' qdm hww d'ythyhwn gyr 'ykn'
For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship,

ܘܠܐ ܝܕܥܘ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܛܘܦܢܐ ܘܫܩܠ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܡܐܬܝܬܗ ܕܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ
d'nsh' dbrh m'thythh thhw' hkn' lklhwn wshql Twpn' d'th' edm' ydew wl'
and they didn’t know until the flood came, and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܬܪܝܢ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܒܩܪܝܬܐ ܚܕ ܢܬܕܒܪ ܘܚܕ ܢܫܬܒܩ
nshthbq wkhd nthdbr khd bqryth' nhwwn thryn hydyn
Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and one will be left.

ܘܬܪܬܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܛܚܢܢ ܒܪܚܝܐ ܚܕܐ ܡܬܕܒܪܐ ܘܚܕܐ ܡܫܬܒܩܐ
mshthbq' wkhd' mthdbr' khd' brkhy' Tkhnn nhwyn wthrthyn
Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and one will be left.

ܐܬܬܥܝܪܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܫܥܬܐ ܐܬܐ ܡܪܟܘܢ
mrkwn 'th' sheth' b'yd' 'nthwn ydeyn dl' hkyl 'ththeyrw
Watch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes.

ܗܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܥܘ ܕܐܠܘ ܝܕܥ ܗܘܐ ܡܪܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܡܛܪܬܐ ܐܬܐ ܓܢܒܐ ܡܬܬܥܝܪ ܗܘܐ ܘܠܐ ܫܒܩ ܗܘܐ ܕܢܬܦܠܫ ܒܝܬܗ
bythh dnthplsh hw' shbq wl' hw' mththeyr gnb' 'th' mTrth' b'yd' byth' mr' hw' yde d'lw dew dyn hd'
But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܗܘܘ ܡܛܝܒܝܢ ܕܒܫܥܬܐ ܕܠܐ ܣܒܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܢܐܬܐ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ
d'nsh' brh n'th' 'nthwn sbryn dl' dbsheth' mTybyn hww 'nthwn 'p hn' mTl
Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don’t expect, the Son of Man will come.

ܡܢܘ ܟܝ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܥܒܕܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܘܚܟܝܡܐ ܕܐܩܝܡܗ ܡܪܗ ܥܠ ܒܢܝ ܒܝܬܗ ܕܢܬܠ ܠܗܘܢ ܣܝܒܪܬܐ ܒܙܒܢܗ
bzbnh sybrth' lhwn dnthl bythh bny el mrh d'qymh wkhkym' mhymn' ebd' 'ythwhy ky mnw
“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season?

ܛܘܒܘܗܝ ܠܥܒܕܐ ܗܘ ܕܢܐܬܐ ܡܪܗ ܢܫܟܚܝܘܗܝ ܕܥܒܕ ܗܟܢܐ
hkn' debd nshkkhywhy mrh dn'th' hw lebd' Twbwhy
Blessed is that servant whom his lord finds doing so when he comes.
47
ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܢܩܝܡܝܘܗܝ ܥܠ ܟܠ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ
lh d'yth kl el dnqymywhy lkwn 'n' 'mr 'myn
Most certainly I tell you that he will set him over all that he has.

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܢܐܡܪ ܥܒܕܐ ܗܘ ܒܝܫܐ ܒܠܒܗ ܕܡܪܝ ܡܘܚܪ ܠܡܐܬܐ
lm'th' mwkhr dmry blbh bysh' hw ebd' n'mr dyn 'n
But if that evil servant should say in his heart, ‘My lord is delaying his coming,’

ܘܢܫܪܐ ܠܡܡܚܐ ܟܢܘܬܗ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܐܟܠ ܘܫܬܐ ܥܡ ܪܘܝܐ

the lord of that servant will come in a day when he doesn’t expect it, and in an hour when he doesn’t know it,

ܘܢܦܠܓܝܘܗܝ ܘܢܣܝܡ ܡܢܬܗ ܥܡ ܢܣܒܝ ܒܐܦܐ ܬܡܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܟܝܐ ܘܚܘܪܩ ܫܢܐ

and will cut him in pieces, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites. That is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.
