ܕܡܝܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܡܪܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܕܢܦܩ ܒܨܦܪܐ ܕܢܐܓܘܪ ܦܥܠܐ ܠܟܪܡܗ
lkrmh pel' dn'gwr btspr' dnpq byth' mr' lgbr' dshmy' mlkwth' gyr dmy'
“For the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who was the master of a household, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.

ܩܨ ܕܝܢ ܥܡ ܦܥܠܐ ܡܢ ܕܝܢܪܐ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܘܫܕܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܟܪܡܗ
lkrmh 'nwn wshdr bywm' dynr' mn pel' em dyn qts
When he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

ܘܢܦܩ ܒܬܠܬ ܫܥܝܢ ܘܚܙܐ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܕܩܝܡܝܢ ܒܫܘܩܐ ܘܒܛܝܠܝܢ
wbTylyn bshwq' dqymyn 'khrn' wkhz' sheyn bthlth wnpq
He went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܙܠܘ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܟܪܡܐ ܘܡܕܡ ܕܘܠܐ ܝܗܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ
lkwn 'n' yhb dwl' wmdm lkrm' 'nthwn 'p zlw lhwn w'mr
He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.’ So they went their way.

ܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܙܠܘ ܘܢܦܩ ܬܘܒ ܒܫܬ ܘܒܬܫܥ ܫܥܝܢ ܘܥܒܕ ܗܟܘܬ

Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise.

ܘܠܐܦܝ ܚܕܥܣܪܐ ܫܥܝܢ ܢܦܩ ܘܐܫܟܚ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܕܩܝܡܝܢ ܘܒܛܝܠܝܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܝܘܡܐ ܟܠܗ ܘܒܛܠܝܢ

About the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle. He said to them, ‘Why do you stand here all day idle?’

ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܕܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܐܓܪܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܙܠܘ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܟܪܡܐ ܘܡܕܡ ܕܘܠܐ ܢܣܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn nsbyn dwl' wmdm lkrm' 'nthwn 'p zlw lhwn 'mr 'grn 'nsh dl' lh 'mryn
“They said to him, ‘Because no one has hired us.’ “He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and you will receive whatever is right.’

ܟܕ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܪܡܫܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܐ ܟܪܡܐ ܠܪܒܝܬܗ ܩܪܝ ܦܥܠܐ ܘܗܒ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܓܪܗܘܢ ܘܫܪܐ ܡܢ ܐܚܪܝܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܩܕܡܝܐ
lqdmy' wedm' 'khry' mn wshr' 'grhwn lhwn whb pel' qry lrbythh krm' mr' 'mr rmsh' dyn hw' kd
When evening had come, the lord of the vineyard said to his manager, ‘Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning from the last to the first.’

ܘܐܬܘ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܚܕܥܣܪܐ ܫܥܝܢ ܢܣܒܘ ܕܝܢܪ ܕܝܢܪ

“When those who were hired at about the eleventh hour came, they each received a denarius.

ܘܟܕ ܐܬܘ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܣܒܪܘ ܕܝܬܝܪ ܫܩܠܝܢ ܘܫܩܠܘ ܕܝܢܪ ܕܝܢܪ ܐܦ ܗܢܘܢ
hnwn 'p dynr dynr wshqlw shqlyn dythyr sbrw qdmy' 'thw wkd
When the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise each received a denarius.

ܘܟܕ ܫܩܠܘ ܪܛܢܘ ܥܠ ܡܪܐ ܒܝܬܐ
byth' mr' el rTnw shqlw wkd
When they received it, they murmured against the master of the household,

ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܚܪܝܐ ܚܕܐ ܫܥܐ ܥܒܕܘ ܘܐܫܘܝܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܥܡܢ ܕܫܩܠܢ ܝܘܩܪܗ ܕܝܘܡܐ ܘܚܘܡܗ
wkhwmh dywm' ywqrh dshqln emn 'nwn w'shwyth ebdw she' khd' 'khry' hlyn w'mryn
saying, ‘These last have spent one hour, and you have made them equal to us, who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat!’

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܥܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܚܕ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܚܒܪܝ ܠܐ ܡܥܘܠ ܐܢܐ ܒܟ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܕܝܢܪ ܩܨܬ ܥܡܝ

“But he answered one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Didn’t you agree with me for a denarius?

ܣܒ ܕܝܠܟ ܘܙܠ ܨܒܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܠܗܢܐ ܐܚܪܝܐ ܐܬܠ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܟ

Take that which is yours, and go your way. It is my desire to give to this last just as much as to you.

ܐܘ ܠܐ ܫܠܝܛ ܠܝ ܕܡܕܡ ܕܨܒܐ ܐܢܐ ܐܥܒܕ ܒܕܝܠܝ ܐܘ ܥܝܢܟ ܒܝܫܐ ܕܐܢܐ ܛܒ ܐܢܐ
'n' Tb d'n' bysh' eynk 'w bdyly 'ebd 'n' dtsb' dmdm ly shlyT l' 'w
Isn’t it lawful for me to do what I want to with what I own? Or is your eye evil, because I am good?’

ܗܟܢܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܐܚܪܝܐ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܘܩܕܡܝܐ ܐܚܪܝܐ ܣܓܝܐܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܩܪܝܐ ܘܙܥܘܪܝܢ ܓܒܝܐ
gby' wzewryn qry' gyr 'nwn sgy'yn 'khry' wqdmy' qdmy' 'khry' nhwwn hkn'
So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen.”

ܥܬܝܕ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܕܢܣܩ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܕܒܪ ܠܬܪܥܣܪ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܒܝܢܘܗܝ ܘܠܗܘܢ ܒܐܘܪܚܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ
lhwn w'mr b'wrkh' wlhwn bynwhy thlmydwhy lthresr wdbr l'wrshlm dnsq yshwe dyn hw' ethyd
As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them,

ܗܐ ܣܠܩܝܢ ܚܢܢ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܡܫܬܠܡ ܠܪܒܝ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܠܣܦܪܐ ܘܢܚܝܒܘܢܝܗܝ ܠܡܘܬܐ
lmwth' wnkhybwnyhy wlspr' khn' lrby mshthlm d'nsh' wbrh l'wrshlm khnn slqyn h'
“Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death,

ܘܢܫܠܡܘܢܝܗܝ ܠܥܡܡܐ ܘܢܒܙܚܘܢ ܒܗ ܘܢܢܓܕܘܢܝܗܝ ܘܢܙܩܦܘܢܝܗܝ ܘܠܝܘܡܐ ܕܬܠܬܐ ܢܩܘܡ
nqwm dthlth' wlywm' wnzqpwnyhy wnngdwnyhy bh wnbzkhwn lemm' wnshlmwnyhy
and will hand him over to the Gentiles to mock, to scourge, and to crucify; and the third day he will be raised up.”

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܩܪܒܬ ܠܗ ܐܡܗܘܢ ܕܒܢܝ ܙܒܕܝ ܗܝ ܘܒܢܝܗ ܘܣܓܕܬ ܠܗ ܘܫܐܠܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܗ ܡܕܡ
mdm lh hwth wsh'l' lh wsgdth wbnyh hy zbdy dbny 'mhwn lh qrbth hydyn
Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to him with her sons, kneeling and asking a certain thing of him.

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܢܐ ܨܒܝܐ ܐܢܬܝ ܐܡܪܐ ܠܗ ܐܡܪ ܕܢܬܒܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܬܪܝܢ ܒܢܝ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܝܡܝܢܟ ܘܚܕ ܡܢ ܣܡܠܟ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܟ
bmlkwthk smlk mn wkhd ymynk mn khd bny thryn hlyn dnthbwn 'mr lh 'mr' 'nthy tsby' mn' lh 'mr dyn hw
He said to her, “What do you want?” She said to him, “Command that these, my two sons, may sit, one on your right hand, and one on your left hand, in your Kingdom.”

ܥܢܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܫܐܠܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܡܫܬܐ ܟܣܐ ܕܐܢܐ ܥܬܝܕ ܠܡܫܬܐ ܐܘ ܡܥܡܘܕܝܬܐ ܕܐܢܐ ܥܡܕ ܐܢܐ ܬܥܡܕܘܢ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܚܢܢ
khnn mshkkhyn lh 'mryn themdwn 'n' emd d'n' memwdyth' 'w lmshth' ethyd d'n' ks' lmshth' 'nthwn mshkkhyn 'nthwn sh'lyn mn' 'nthwn ydeyn l' w'mr yshwe en'
But Jesus answered, “You don’t know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” They said to him, “We are able.”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܟܣܝ ܬܫܬܘܢ ܘܡܥܡܘܕܝܬܐ ܕܐܢܐ ܥܡܕ ܐܢܐ ܬܥܡܕܘܢ ܕܬܬܒܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܝܡܝܢܝ ܘܡܢ ܣܡܠܝ ܠܐ ܗܘܬ ܕܝܠܝ ܕܐܬܠ ܐܠܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܬܛܝܒܬ ܡܢ ܐܒܝ
'by mn d'thTybth l'ylyn 'l' d'thl dyly hwth l' smly wmn ymyny mn dyn dththbwn themdwn 'n' emd d'n' wmemwdyth' thshthwn ksy lhwn 'mr
He said to them, “You will indeed drink my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with, but to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it is for whom it has been prepared by my Father.”

ܟܕ ܕܝܢ ܫܡܥܘ ܥܣܪܐ ܪܓܙܘ ܥܠ ܗܢܘܢ ܬܪܝܢ ܐܚܝܢ
'khyn thryn hnwn el rgzw esr' shmew dyn kd
When the ten heard it, they were indignant with the two brothers.

ܘܩܪܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܪܫܝܗܘܢ ܕܥܡܡܐ ܡܪܝܗܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܪܘܪܒܢܝܗܘܢ ܫܠܝܛܝܢ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ
elyhwn shlyTyn wrwrbnyhwn 'nwn mryhwn demm' drshyhwn 'nthwn ydeyn lhwn w'mr yshwe 'nwn wqr'
But Jesus summoned them, and said, “You know that the rulers of the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.

ܠܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܝܢܬܟܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܡܢ ܕܨܒܐ ܒܟܘܢ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܪܒܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܫܡܫܢܐ
mshmshn' lkwn nhw' rb' dnhw' bkwn dtsb' mn 'l' bynthkwn nhw' hkn' l'
It shall not be so among you, but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.

ܘܡܢ ܕܨܒܐ ܒܟܘܢ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܥܒܕܐ
ebd' lkwn nhw' qdmy' dnhw' bkwn dtsb' wmn
Whoever desires to be first among you shall be your bondservant,

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܠܐ ܐܬܐ ܕܢܫܬܡܫ ܐܠܐ ܕܢܫܡܫ ܘܕܢܬܠ ܢܦܫܗ ܦܘܪܩܢܐ ܚܠܦ ܣܓܝܐܐ
sgy'' khlp pwrqn' npshh wdnthl dnshmsh 'l' dnshthmsh 'th' l' d'nsh' dbrh 'ykn'
even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

ܘܟܕ ܢܦܩ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܢ ܐܝܪܝܚܘ ܐܬܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܬܪܗ ܟܢܫܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ

As they went out from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

ܘܗܐ ܣܡܝܐ ܬܪܝܢ ܝܬܒܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܥܠ ܝܕ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܘܟܕ ܫܡܥܘ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܥܒܪ ܝܗܒܘ ܩܠܐ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܬܪܚܡ ܥܠܝܢ ܡܪܝ ܒܪܗ ܕܕܘܝܕ
ddwyd brh mry elyn 'thrkhm w'mryn ql' yhbw ebr dyshwe shmew wkd 'wrkh' yd el hww ythbyn thryn smy' wh'
Behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, “Lord, have mercy on us, you son of David!”

ܟܢܫܐ ܕܝܢ ܟܐܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܗܘܢ ܕܢܫܬܩܘܢ ܘܗܢܘܢ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܐܪܝܡܘ ܩܠܗܘܢ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܡܪܢ ܐܬܪܚܡ ܥܠܝܢ ܒܪܗ ܕܕܘܝܕ
ddwyd brh elyn 'thrkhm mrn w'mryn qlhwn 'rymw ythyr'yth whnwn dnshthqwn bhwn hww k'yn dyn knsh'
The multitude rebuked them, telling them that they should be quiet, but they cried out even more, “Lord, have mercy on us, you son of David!”

ܘܩܡ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܩܪܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܢܐ ܨܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܐܥܒܕ ܠܟܘܢ
lkwn d'ebd 'nthwn tsbyn mn' w'mr 'nwn wqr' yshwe wqm
Jesus stood still, and called them, and asked, “What do you want me to do for you?”

ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܡܪܢ ܕܢܬܦܬܚܢ ܥܝܢܝܢ
eynyn dnthpthkhn mrn lh 'mryn
They told him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.”

ܘܐܬܪܚܡ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܩܪܒ ܠܥܝܢܝܗܘܢ ܘܒܪ ܫܥܬܗ ܐܬܦܬܚ ܥܝܢܝܗܘܢ ܘܐܙܠܘ ܒܬܪܗ
bthrh w'zlw eynyhwn 'thpthkh shethh wbr leynyhwn wqrb yshwe elyhwn w'thrkhm
Jesus, being moved with compassion, touched their eyes; and immediately their eyes received their sight, and they followed him.
