ܒܗܝ ܫܥܬܐ ܩܪܒܘ ܬܠܡܝܕܐ ܠܘܬ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܡܢܘ ܟܝ ܪܒ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ
bhy sheth' qrbw thlmyd' lwth yshwe w'mryn mnw ky rb bmlkwth' dshmy'
In that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?”

ܘܩܪܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܛܠܝܐ ܘܐܩܝܡܗ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ
wqr' yshwe Tly' w'qymh bynthhwn
Jesus called a little child to himself, and set him in the middle of them,

ܘܐܡܪ ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܐܠܐ ܬܬܗܦܟܘܢ ܘܬܗܘܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܛܠܝܐ ܠܐ ܬܥܠܘܢ ܠܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ
w'mr 'myn 'mrn' lkwn d'l' ththhpkwn wthhwwn 'yk Tly' l' thelwn lmlkwth' dshmy'
and said,
“Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn, and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

ܡܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܡܡܟܟ ܢܦܫܗ ܐܝܟ ܗܢܐ ܛܠܝܐ ܗܘ ܢܗܘܐ ܪܒ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ
mn hkyl dmmkk npshh 'yk hn' Tly' hw nhw' rb bmlkwth' dshmy'
Whoever therefore humbles himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

ܘܡܢ ܕܢܩܒܠ ܐܝܟ ܛܠܝܐ ܗܢܐ ܒܫܡܝ ܠܝ ܡܩܒܠ

Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me,

ܘܟܠ ܕܢܟܫܠ ܠܚܕ ܡܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܙܥܘܪܐ ܕܡܗܝܡܢܝܢ ܒܝ ܦܩܚ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܕܬܗܘܐ ܬܠܝܐ ܪܚܝܐ ܕܚܡܪܐ ܒܨܘܪܗ ܘܡܛܒܥ ܒܥܘܡܩܘܗܝ ܕܝܡܐ
wkl dnkshl lkhd mn hlyn zewr' dmhymnyn by pqkh hw' lh dthhw' thly' rkhy' dkhmr' btswrh wmTbe bewmqwhy dym'
but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him that a huge millstone should be hung around his neck, and that he should be sunk in the depths of the sea.

ܘܝ ܠܥܠܡܐ ܡܢ ܡܟܫܘܠܐ ܐܢܢܩܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܢܐܬܘܢ ܡܟܫܘܠܐ ܘܝ ܕܝܢ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܕܒܐܝܕܗ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܡܟܫܘܠܐ

“Woe to the world because of occasions of stumbling! For it must be that the occasions come, but woe to that person through whom the occasion comes!

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܕܟ ܐܘ ܪܓܠܟ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܦܣܘܩܝܗ ܘܫܕܝܗ ܡܢܟ ܛܒ ܗܘ ܠܟ ܕܬܥܘܠ ܠܚܝܐ ܟܕ ܚܓܝܣ ܐܢܬ ܐܘ ܟܕ ܦܫܝܓ ܘܠܐ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܐܝܕܝܢ ܐܘ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܪܓܠܝܢ ܬܦܠ ܒܢܘܪܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ
'n dyn 'ydk 'w rglk mkshl' lk pswqyh wshdyh mnk Tb hw lk dthewl lkhy' kd khgys 'nth 'w kd pshyg wl' kd 'yth lk thrthyn 'ydyn 'w thrthyn rglyn thpl bnwr' dlelm
If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into the eternal fire.

ܘܐܢ ܗܘ ܕܥܝܢܟ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܚܨܝܗ ܘܫܕܝܗ ܡܢܟ ܛܒ ܗܘ ܠܟ ܕܒܚܕܐ ܥܝܢܐ ܬܥܘܠ ܠܚܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܥܝܢܝܢ ܬܦܠ ܒܓܗܢܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ
w'n hw deynk mkshl' lk khtsyh wshdyh mnk Tb hw lk dbkhd' eyn' thewl lkhy' wl' kd 'yth lk thrthyn eynyn thpl bghn' dnwr'
If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna
of fire.

ܚܙܘ ܠܐ ܬܒܣܘܢ ܥܠ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܙܥܘܪܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܡܠܐܟܝܗܘܢ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܚܙܝܢ ܦܪܨܘܦܗ ܕܐܒܝ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ
khzw l' thbswn el khd mn hlyn zewr' 'mr 'n' lkwn gyr dml'kyhwn bshmy' bklzbn khzyn prtswph d'by dbshmy'
See that you don’t despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.

ܐܬܐ ܓܝܪ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܕܢܚܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܒܝܕ ܗܘܐ
'th' gyr brh d'nsh' dnkh' mdm d'byd hw'
For the Son of Man came to save that which was lost.

ܡܢܐ ܡܬܚܙܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܢ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܠܐܢܫ ܡܐܐ ܥܪܒܝܢ ܘܢܛܥܐ ܚܕ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܫܒܩ ܬܫܥܝܢ ܘܬܫܥܐ ܒܛܘܪܐ ܘܐܙܠ ܒܥܐ ܠܗܘ ܕܛܥܐ
mn' mthkhz' lkwn 'n nhwwn l'nsh m'' erbyn wnTe' khd mnhwn l' shbq thsheyn wthshe' bTwr' w'zl be' lhw dTe'
“What do you think? If a man has one hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine, go to the mountains, and seek that which has gone astray?

ܘܐܢ ܢܫܟܚܗ ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܚܕܐ ܒܗ ܝܬܝܪ ܡܢ ܬܫܥܝܢ ܘܬܫܥܐ ܕܠܐ ܛܥܘ
w'n nshkkhh 'myn 'mrn' lkwn dkhd' bh ythyr mn thsheyn wthshe' dl' Tew
If he finds it, most certainly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have not gone astray.

ܗܟܢܐ ܠܝܬ ܨܒܝܢܐ ܩܕܡ ܐܒܘܟܘܢ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ ܕܢܐܒܕ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܙܥܘܪܐ ܗܠܝܢ
hkn' lyth tsbyn' qdm 'bwkwn dbshmy' dn'bd khd mn zewr' hlyn
Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܣܟܠ ܒܟ ܐܚܘܟ ܙܠ ܐܟܣܝܗܝ ܒܝܢܝܟ ܘܠܗ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܐܢ ܫܡܥܟ ܝܬܪܬ ܐܚܘܟ
'n dyn 'skl bk 'khwk zl 'ksyhy bynyk wlh blkhwd 'n shmek ythrth 'khwk
“If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother.

ܘܐܠܐ ܫܡܥܟ ܕܒܪ ܥܡܟ ܚܕ ܐܘ ܬܪܝܢ ܕܥܠ ܦܘܡ ܬܪܝܢ ܐܘ ܬܠܬܐ ܣܗܕܝܢ ܬܩܘܡ ܟܠ ܡܠܐ
w'l' shmek dbr emk khd 'w thryn del pwm thryn 'w thlth' shdyn thqwm kl ml'
But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܢܫܡܥ ܐܡܪ ܠܥܕܬܐ ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܠܥܕܬܐ ܢܫܡܥ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܟ ܐܝܟ ܡܟܣܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܚܢܦܐ
'n dyn 'p l' lhnwn nshme 'mr ledth' 'n dyn 'p l' ledth' nshme nhw' lk 'yk mks' w'yk khnp'
If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector.

ܘܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܬܐܣܪܘܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܐܣܝܪ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܘܡܕܡ ܕܬܫܪܘܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܫܪܐ ܒܫܡܝܐ
w'myn 'mr 'n' lkwn dkl m' dth'srwn b're' nhw' 'syr bshmy' wmdm dthshrwn b're' nhw' shr' bshmy'
Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven.

ܬܘܒ ܐܡܪܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܐܢ ܬܪܝܢ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܢܫܬܘܘܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܥܠ ܟܠ ܨܒܘ ܕܢܫܐܠܘܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܠܘܬ ܐܒܝ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ
thwb 'mrn' lkwn d'n thryn mnkwn nshthwwn b're' el kl tsbw dnsh'lwn nhw' lhwn mn lwth 'by dbshmy'
Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.

ܐܝܟܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܬܪܝܢ ܐܘ ܬܠܬܐ ܟܢܝܫܝܢ ܒܫܡܝ ܬܡܢ ܐܢܐ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ
'yk' gyr dthryn 'w thlth' knyshyn bshmy thmn 'n' bynthhwn
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.”

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܩܪܒ ܠܘܬܗ ܟܐܦܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝ ܟܡܐ ܙܒܢܝܢ ܐܢ ܢܣܟܠ ܒܝ ܐܚܝ ܐܫܒܘܩ ܠܗ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܫܒܥ ܙܒܢܝܢ

Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܫܒܥ ܐܠܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܫܒܥܝܢ ܙܒܢܝܢ ܫܒܥ ܫܒܥ
'mr lh yshwe l' 'mr 'n' lk edm' lshbe 'l' edm' lshbeyn zbnyn shbe shbe
Jesus said to him,
“I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܬܕܡܝܬ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܨܒܐ ܕܢܣܒ ܚܘܫܒܢܐ ܡܢ ܥܒܕܘܗܝ
mTl hn' 'thdmyth mlkwth' dshmy' lgbr' mlk' dtsb' dnsb khwshbn' mn ebdwhy
Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants.

ܘܟܕ ܫܪܝ ܠܡܣܒ ܩܪܒܘ ܠܗ ܚܕ ܕܚܝܒ ܪܒܘ ܟܟܪܝܢ

When he had begun to reconcile, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.

ܘܟܕ ܠܝܬ ܠܗ ܠܡܦܪܥ ܦܩܕ ܡܪܗ ܕܢܙܕܒܢ ܗܘ ܘܐܢܬܬܗ ܘܒܢܘܗܝ ܘܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܘܢܦܪܘܥ

But because he couldn’t pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

ܘܢܦܠ ܗܘ ܥܒܕܐ ܣܓܕ ܠܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝ ܐܓܪ ܥܠܝ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܦܪܥ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ

The servant therefore fell down and knelt before him, saying, ‘Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all!’

ܘܐܬܪܚܡ ܡܪܗ ܕܥܒܕܐ ܗܘ ܘܫܪܝܗܝ ܘܚܘܒܬܗ ܫܒܩ ܠܗ

The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.

ܢܦܩ ܕܝܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܗܘ ܘܐܫܟܚ ܠܚܕ ܡܢ ܟܢܘܬܗ ܕܚܝܒ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܕܝܢܪܐ ܡܐܐ ܘܐܚܕܗ ܘܚܢܩ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܗܒ ܠܝ ܡܕܡ ܕܚܝܒ ܐܢܬ ܠܝ

“But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred denarii,
and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’

ܘܢܦܠ ܗܘ ܟܢܬܗ ܥܠ ܪܓܠܘܗܝ ܒܥܐ ܡܢܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܐܓܪ ܥܠܝ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܦܪܥ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ

“So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will repay you!’

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܨܒܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܙܠ ܐܪܡܝܗ ܒܝܬ ܐܣܝܪܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܬܠ ܠܗ ܡܐ ܕܚܝܒ ܠܗ
hw dyn l' tsb' 'l' 'zl 'rmyh byth 'syr' edm' dnthl lh m' dkhyb lh
He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due.

ܟܕ ܚܙܘ ܕܝܢ ܟܢܘܬܗܘܢ ܡܕܡ ܕܗܘܐ ܟܪܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܛܒ ܘܐܬܘ ܐܘܕܥܘ ܠܡܪܗܘܢ ܟܠ ܕܗܘܐ
kd khzw dyn knwthhwn mdm dhw' kryth lhwn Tb w'thw 'wdew lmrhwn kl dhw'
So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told their lord all that was done.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܩܪܝܗܝ ܡܪܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܥܒܕܐ ܒܝܫܐ ܗܝ ܟܠܗ ܚܘܒܬܐ ܫܒܩܬ ܠܟ ܕܒܥܝܬ ܡܢܝ

Then his lord called him in, and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me.

ܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܟ ܐܦ ܐܢܬ ܕܬܚܘܢ ܠܟܢܬܟ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܢܐ ܚܢܬܟ

Shouldn’t you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?’

ܘܪܓܙ ܡܪܗ ܘܐܫܠܡܗ ܠܡܢܓܕܢܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܦܪܘܥ ܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܚܝܒ ܠܗ

His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all that was due to him.

ܗܟܢܐ ܢܥܒܕ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܒܝ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ ܐܠܐ ܬܫܒܩܘܢ ܐܢܫ ܠܐܚܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܠܒܟܘܢ ܣܟܠܘܬܗ
hkn' nebd lkwn 'by dbshmy' 'l' thshbqwn 'nsh l'khwhy mn lbkwn sklwthh
So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds.”
