ܒܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܝܘܡܐ ܢܦܩ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܢ ܒܝܬܐ ܘܝܬܒ ܥܠ ܝܕ ܝܡܐ

On that day Jesus went out of the house, and sat by the seaside.

ܘܐܬܟܢܫܘ ܠܘܬܗ ܟܢܫܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܢܣܩ ܢܬܒ ܠܗ ܒܐܠܦܐ ܘܟܠܗ ܟܢܫܐ ܩܐܡ ܗܘܐ ܥܠ ܣܦܪ ܝܡܐ

Great multitudes gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat, and sat, and all the multitude stood on the beach.

ܘܣܓܝ ܡܡܠܠ ܗܘܐ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܒܦܠܐܬܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܗܐ ܢܦܩ ܙܪܘܥܐ ܕܢܙܪܘܥ
dnzrwe zrwe' npq h' w'mr bpl'th' emhwn hw' mmll wsgy
He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, “Behold, a farmer went out to sow.

ܘܟܕ ܙܪܥ ܐܝܬ ܕܢܦܠ ܥܠ ܝܕ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܘܐܬܬ ܦܪܚܬܐ ܘܐܟܠܬܗ

As he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and devoured them.

ܘܐܚܪܢܐ ܢܦܠ ܥܠ ܫܘܥܐ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܠܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܡܕܪܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܘܒܪ ܫܥܬܗ ܫܘܚ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܥܘܡܩܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ
d're' ewmq' hw' dlyth mTl shwkh shethh wbr sgy'' mdr' hw' dlyth 'yk' shwe' el npl w'khrn'
Others fell on rocky ground, where they didn’t have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of earth.

ܟܕ ܕܢܚ ܕܝܢ ܫܡܫܐ ܚܡ ܘܡܛܠ ܕܠܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܥܩܪܐ ܝܒܫ

When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away.

ܘܐܚܪܢܐ ܢܦܠ ܒܝܬ ܟܘܒܐ ܘܣܠܩܘ ܟܘܒܐ ܘܚܢܩܘܗܝ

Others fell among thorns. The thorns grew up and choked them.

ܘܐܚܪܢܐ ܢܦܠ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܘܝܗܒ ܦܐܪܐ ܐܝܬ ܕܡܐܐ ܘܐܝܬ ܕܫܬܝܢ ܘܐܝܬ ܕܬܠܬܝܢ
dthlthyn w'yth dshthyn w'yth dm'' 'yth p'r' wyhb Tbth' b're' npl w'khrn'
Others fell on good soil, and yielded fruit: some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.

ܡܢ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܐܕܢܐ ܕܢܫܡܥ ܢܫܡܥ

He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

ܘܩܪܒܘ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܠܡܢܐ ܒܦܠܐܬܐ ܡܡܠܠ ܐܢܬ ܥܡܗܘܢ

The disciples came, and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܥܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܠܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܝܗܝܒ ܠܡܕܥ ܐܪܙܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܝܗܝܒ
yhyb l' dyn lhnwn dshmy' dmlkwth' 'rz' lmde yhyb hw dlkwn lhwn w'mr en' dyn hw
He answered them, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.

ܠܡܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܢܬܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܘܢܬܝܬܪ ܠܗ
lh wnthythr lh nthyhb lh d'yth gyr lmn
For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance, but whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.

ܘܠܡܢ ܕܠܝܬ ܠܗ ܘܗܘ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܢܫܬܩܠ ܡܢܗ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܒܦܠܐܬܐ ܡܡܠܠ ܐܢܐ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܚܙܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܚܙܝܢ ܘܫܡܥܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܫܡܥܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܡܣܬܟܠܝܢ
msthklyn wl' shmeyn wl' wshmeyn khzyn wl' dkhzyn mTl emhwn 'n' mmll bpl'th' hn' mTl mnh nshthql lh d'yth whw lh dlyth wlmn
Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don’t see, and hearing, they don’t hear, neither do they understand.

ܘܫܠܡܐ ܒܗܘܢ ܢܒܝܘܬܗ ܕܐܫܥܝܐ ܕܐܡܪ ܕܫܡܥܐ ܬܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܬܣܬܟܠܘܢ ܘܡܚܙܐ ܬܚܙܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܬܕܥܘܢ

In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says, ‘By hearing you will hear, and will in no way understand; Seeing you will see, and will in no way perceive:

ܐܬܥܒܝ ܠܗ ܓܝܪ ܠܒܗ ܕܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܒܐܕܢܝܗܘܢ ܝܩܝܪܐܝܬ ܫܡܥܘ ܘܥܝܢܝܗܘܢ ܥܡܨܘ ܕܠܐ ܢܚܙܘܢ ܒܥܝܢܝܗܘܢ ܘܢܫܡܥܘܢ ܒܐܕܢܝܗܘܢ ܘܢܣܬܟܠܘܢ ܒܠܒܗܘܢ ܘܢܬܦܢܘܢ ܘܐܣܐ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn w's' wnthpnwn blbhwn wnsthklwn b'dnyhwn wnshmewn beynyhwn nkhzwn dl' emtsw weynyhwn shmew yqyr'yth wb'dnyhwn hn' dem' lbh gyr lh 'theby
for this people’s heart has grown callous, their ears are dull of hearing, they have closed their eyes; or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again; and I would heal them.’

ܕܝܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܛܘܒܝܗܝܢ ܠܥܝܢܝܟܘܢ ܕܚܙܝܢ ܘܠܐܕܢܝܟܘܢ ܕܫܡܥܢ

“But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.

ܐܡܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܡܪܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܣܓܝܐܐ ܢܒܝܐ ܘܙܕܝܩܐ ܐܬܪܓܪܓܘ ܕܢܚܙܘܢ ܡܕܡ ܕܚܙܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܚܙܘ ܘܠܡܫܡܥ ܡܕܡ ܕܫܡܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܫܡܥܘ
shmew wl' 'nthwn dshmeyn mdm wlmshme khzw wl' 'nthwn dkhzyn mdm dnkhzwn 'thrgrgw wzdyq' nby' dsgy'' lkwn 'mrn' gyr 'myn
For most certainly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and didn’t see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and didn’t hear them.

ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܫܡܥܘ ܡܬܠܐ ܕܙܪܥܐ

“Hear, then, the parable of the farmer.

ܟܠ ܕܫܡܥ ܡܠܬܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܣܬܟܠ ܒܗ ܐܬܐ ܒܝܫܐ ܘܚܛܦ ܡܠܬܐ ܕܙܪܝܥܐ ܒܠܒܗ ܗܢܘ ܗܘ ܕܥܠ ܝܕ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܐܙܕܪܥ
'zdre 'wrkh' yd del hw hnw blbh dzrye' mlth' wkhTp bysh' 'th' bh msthkl wl' dmlkwth' mlth' dshme kl
When anyone hears the word of the Kingdom, and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes, and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the roadside.

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܥܠ ܫܘܥܐ ܐܙܕܪܥ ܗܘ ܗܘ ܕܫܡܥ ܡܠܬܐ ܘܒܪ ܫܥܬܗ ܒܚܕܘܬܐ ܡܩܒܠ ܠܗ

What was sown on the rocky places, this is he who hears the word, and immediately with joy receives it;

ܠܝܬ ܠܗ ܕܝܢ ܥܩܪܐ ܒܗ ܐܠܐ ܕܙܒܢܐ ܗܘ ܘܡܐ ܕܗܘܐ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܐܘ ܪܕܘܦܝܐ ܡܛܠ ܡܠܬܐ ܥܓܠ ܡܬܟܫܠ
mthkshl egl mlth' mTl rdwpy' 'w 'wltsn' dhw' wm' hw dzbn' 'l' bh eqr' dyn lh lyth
yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܒܝܬ ܟܘܒܐ ܐܙܕܪܥ ܗܘ ܗܘ ܕܫܡܥ ܡܠܬܐ ܘܪܢܝܐ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܛܘܥܝܝ ܕܥܘܬܪܐ ܚܢܩܝܢ ܠܗ ܠܡܠܬܐ ܘܕܠܐ ܦܐܪܐ ܗܘܝܐ
hwy' p'r' wdl' lmlth' lh khnqyn dewthr' wTweyy hn' delm' wrny' mlth' dshme hw hw 'zdre kwb' dbyth dyn hw
What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܐܙܕܪܥ ܗܘ ܗܘ ܕܫܡܥ ܡܠܬܝ ܘܡܣܬܟܠ ܘܝܗܒ ܦܐܪܐ ܘܥܒܕ ܐܝܬ ܕܡܐܐ ܘܐܝܬ ܕܫܬܝܢ ܘܐܝܬ ܕܬܠܬܝܢ
dthlthyn w'yth dshthyn w'yth dm'' 'yth webd p'r' wyhb wmsthkl mlthy dshme hw hw 'zdre Tbth' 're' del dyn hw
What was sown on the good ground, this is he who hears the word, and understands it, who most certainly bears fruit, and produces, some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.”

ܐܚܪܢܐ ܡܬܠܐ ܐܡܬܠ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܕܡܝܐ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܕܙܪܥ ܙܪܥܐ ܛܒܐ ܒܩܪܝܬܗ

He set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field,

ܘܟܕ ܕܡܟܘ ܐܢܫܐ ܐܬܐ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܗ ܘܙܪܥ ܙܝܙܢܐ ܒܝܢܬ ܚܛܐ ܘܐܙܠ
w'zl khT' bynth zyzn' wzre beldbbh 'th' 'nsh' dmkw wkd
but while people slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel weeds also among the wheat, and went away.

ܟܕ ܕܝܢ ܝܥܐ ܥܣܒܐ ܘܥܒܕ ܦܐܪܐ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܬܚܙܝܘ ܐܦ ܙܝܙܢܐ
zyzn' 'p 'thkhzyw hydyn p'r' webd esb' ye' dyn kd
But when the blade sprang up and produced fruit, then the darnel weeds appeared also.

ܘܩܪܒܘ ܥܒܕܘܗܝ ܕܡܪܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܘܐܡܪܘ ܠܗ ܡܪܢ ܠܐ ܗܐ ܙܪܥܐ ܛܒܐ ܙܪܥܬ ܒܩܪܝܬܟ ܡܢ ܐܝܡܟܐ ܐܝܬ ܒܗ ܙܝܙܢܐ
zyzn' bh 'yth 'ymk' mn bqrythk zreth Tb' zre' h' l' mrn lh w'mrw byth' dmr' ebdwhy wqrbw
The servants of the householder came and said to him, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where did these darnel weeds come from?’

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ ܥܒܕ ܗܕܐ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܥܒܕܘܗܝ ܨܒܐ ܐܢܬ ܢܐܙܠ ܢܓܒܐ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn ngb' n'zl 'nth tsb' ebdwhy lh 'mryn hd' ebd beldbb' gbr' lhwn 'mr dyn hw
“He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them up?’

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܠܡܐ ܟܕ ܡܓܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܙܝܙܢܐ ܬܥܩܪܘܢ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܐܦ ܚܛܐ
khT' 'p emhwn theqrwn zyzn' 'nthwn mgbyn kd dlm' lhwn 'mr dyn hw
“But he said, ‘No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel weeds, you root up the wheat with them.

ܫܒܘܩܘ ܪܒܝܢ ܬܪܝܗܘܢ ܐܟܚܕܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܚܨܕܐ ܘܒܙܒܢܐ ܕܚܨܕܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܚܨܘܕܐ ܓܒܘ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܙܝܙܢܐ ܘܐܣܘܪܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܐܣܪܝܬܐ ܕܢܐܩܕܘܢ ܚܛܐ ܕܝܢ ܟܢܫܘ ܐܢܝܢ ܠܐܘܨܪܝ
l'wtsry 'nyn knshw dyn khT' dn'qdwn m'sryth' 'nwn w'swrw zyzn' lwqdm gbw lkhtswd' 'n' 'mr dkhtsd' wbzbn' lkhtsd' edm' 'kkhd' thryhwn rbyn shbwqw
Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers, “First, gather up the darnel weeds, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”

ܐܚܪܢܐ ܡܬܠܐ ܐܡܬܠ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܕܡܝܐ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܠܦܪܕܬܐ ܕܚܪܕܠܐ ܕܢܣܒ ܓܒܪܐ ܙܪܥܗ ܒܩܪܝܬܗ

He set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field;

ܘܗܝ ܙܥܘܪܝܐ ܗܝ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܙܪܥܘܢܐ ܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܪܒܬ ܪܒܐ ܗܝ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܝܪܩܘܢܐ ܘܗܘܝܐ ܐܝܠܢܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܬܐܬܐ ܦܪܚܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܬܩܢ ܒܣܘܟܝܗ
bswkyh thqn dshmy' prkhth' dth'th' 'yk 'yln' whwy' yrqwn' klhwn mn hy rb' drbth dyn m' zrewn' klhwn mn hy zewry' why
which indeed is smaller than all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches.”

ܐܚܪܢܐ ܡܬܠܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܡܝܐ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܠܚܡܝܪܐ ܗܘ ܕܫܩܠܬ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܛܡܪܬ ܒܬܠܬ ܣܐܝܢ ܕܩܡܚܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܟܠܗ ܚܡܥ
khme dklh edm' dqmkh' s'yn bthlth Tmrth 'nthth' dshqlth hw lkhmyr' dshmy' mlkwth' dmy' lhwn 'mr mthl' 'khrn'
He spoke another parable to them. “The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, until it was all leavened.”

ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܡܠܠ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܦܠܐܬܐ ܠܟܢܫܐ ܘܕܠܐ ܦܠܐܬܐ ܠܐ ܡܡܠܠ ܗܘܐ ܥܡܗܘܢ

Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the multitudes; and without a parable, he didn’t speak to them,

ܐܝܟ ܕܢܬܡܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܬܐܡܪ ܒܝܕ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܐܡܪ ܐܦܬܚ ܦܘܡܝ ܒܡܬܠܐ ܘܐܒܥ ܟܣܝܬܐ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܬܪܡܝܬܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.”

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܫܒܩ ܠܟܢܫܐ ܘܐܬܐ ܠܒܝܬܐ ܘܩܪܒܘ ܠܘܬܗ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܦܫܩ ܠܢ ܡܬܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܙܝܙܢܐ ܘܕܩܪܝܬܐ
wdqryth' dzyzn' hw mthl' ln pshq lh w'mryn thlmydwhy lwthh wqrbw lbyth' w'th' lknsh' shbq yshwe hydyn
Then Jesus sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the darnel weeds of the field.”

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܥܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܗܘ ܕܙܪܥ ܙܪܥܐ ܛܒܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ
d'nsh' brh 'ythwhy Tb' zre' dzre hw lhwn w'mr en' dyn hw
He answered them, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man,

ܘܩܪܝܬܐ ܐܝܬܝܗ ܥܠܡܐ ܙܪܥܐ ܕܝܢ ܛܒܐ ܒܢܝܗ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܙܝܙܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܒܢܘܗܝ ܕܒܝܫܐ
dbysh' bnwhy 'ythyhwn dyn zyzn' dmlkwth' 'nwn bnyh Tb' dyn zre' elm' 'ythyh wqryth'
the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the children of the Kingdom; and the darnel weeds are the children of the evil one.

ܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܙܪܥ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܣܛܢܐ ܚܨܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܚܨܘܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܠܐܟܐ
ml'k' dyn khtswd' delm' shwlmh 'ythwhy dyn khtsd' sTn' 'ythwhy 'nwn dzre dyn beldbb'
The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܡܬܓܒܝܢ ܙܝܙܢܐ ܘܝܩܕܝܢ ܒܢܘܪܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ
hn' delm' bshwlmh nhw' hkn' bnwr' wyqdyn zyzn' dmthgbyn hkyl 'ykn'
As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age.

ܢܫܕܪ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܡܠܐܟܘܗܝ ܘܢܓܒܘܢ ܡܢ ܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܡܟܫܘܠܐ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܒܕܝ ܥܘܠܐ
ewl' ebdy wklhwn mkshwl' klhwn mlkwthh mn wngbwn ml'kwhy d'nsh' brh nshdr
The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and those who do iniquity,

ܘܢܪܡܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܐܬܘܢܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܬܡܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܟܝܐ ܘܚܘܪܩ ܫܢܐ

and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܢܢܗܪܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܫܡܫܐ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܒܘܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܐܕܢܐ ܕܢܫܡܥ ܢܫܡܥ
nshme dnshme 'dn' lh d'yth mn d'bwhwn bmlkwthh shmsh' 'yk nnhrwn zdyq' hydyn
Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

ܬܘܒ ܕܡܝܐ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܠܣܝܡܬܐ ܕܡܛܫܝܐ ܒܩܪܝܬܐ ܗܝ ܕܐܫܟܚܗ ܓܒܪܐ ܘܛܫܝܗ ܘܡܢ ܚܕܘܬܗ ܐܙܠ ܙܒܢ ܟܠ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܘܙܒܢܗ ܠܩܪܝܬܐ ܗܝ

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in the field, which a man found, and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.

ܬܘܒ ܕܡܝܐ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܬܓܪܐ ܕܒܥܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܪܓܢܝܬܐ ܛܒܬܐ

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a merchant seeking fine pearls,

ܟܕ ܕܝܢ ܐܫܟܚ ܡܪܓܢܝܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܝܩܝܪܬ ܕܡܝܐ ܐܙܠ ܙܒܢ ܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܘܙܒܢܗ

who having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet, that was cast into the sea, and gathered some fish of every kind,

ܘܟܕ ܡܠܬ ܐܣܩܘܗ ܠܣܦܪܝ ܝܡܐ ܘܝܬܒܘ ܓܒܝܘ ܘܛܒܐ ܐܪܡܝܘ ܒܡܐܢܐ ܘܒܝܫܐ ܫܕܘ ܠܒܪ

which, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach. They sat down, and gathered the good into containers, but the bad they threw away.

ܗܟܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܢܦܩܘܢ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܘܢܦܪܫܘܢ ܒܝܫܐ ܡܢ ܒܝܢܝ ܙܕܝܩܐ
zdyq' byny mn bysh' wnprshwn ml'k' npqwn delm' bshwlmh nhw' hkn'
So will it be in the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked from among the righteous,

ܘܢܪܡܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܐܬܘܢܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܬܡܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܟܝܐ ܘܚܘܪܩ ܫܢܐ

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܣܬܟܠܬܘܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܐܝܢ ܡܪܢ

Jesus said to them, “Have you understood all these things?” They answered him, “Yes, Lord.”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܟܠ ܣܦܪܐ ܕܡܬܬܠܡܕ ܠܡܠܟܘܬ ܫܡܝܐ ܕܡܐ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܡܪܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܕܡܦܩ ܡܢ ܣܝܡܬܗ ܚܕܬܬܐ ܘܥܬܝܩܬܐ

He said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has been made a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out of his treasure new and old things.”

ܘܐܬܐ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܗ ܘܡܠܦ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܟܢܘܫܬܗܘܢ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܢܬܗܪܘܢ ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܐܝܡܟܐ ܠܗ ܠܗܢܐ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܘܚܝܠܐ

Coming into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom, and these mighty works?

Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, Joses, Simon, and Judas?

ܘܐܚܘܬܗ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܠܐ ܗܐ ܠܘܬܢ ܐܢܝܢ ܐܝܡܟܐ ܠܗ ܗܟܝܠ ܠܗܢܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ

Aren’t all of his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all of these things?”

ܘܡܬܟܫܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܗ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܝܬ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܨܥܝܪ ܐܠܐ ܒܡܕܝܢܬܗ ܘܒܒܝܬܗ

They were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house.”

ܘܠܐ ܥܒܕ ܬܡܢ ܚܝܠܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܡܛܠ ܠܐ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܗܘܢ
