ܘܥܠ ܬܘܒ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܘܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܬܡܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܕܝܒܝܫܐ ܐܝܕܗ
wel thwb yshwe lknwshth' w'yth hw' thmn gbr' khd dybysh' 'ydh
He entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had his hand withered.

ܘܢܛܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ ܕܐܢ ܡܐܣܐ ܠܗ ܒܫܒܬܐ ܢܩܛܪܓܘܢܝܗܝ

They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘ ܓܒܪܐ ܕܝܒܝܫܐ ܐܝܕܗ ܩܘܡ ܒܡܨܥܬܐ

He said to the man who had his hand withered,
“Stand up.”

ܐܡܪ ܕܝܢ ܐܦ ܠܗܘܢ ܫܠܝܛ ܒܫܒܬܐ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܕܛܒ ܐܘ ܕܒܝܫ ܢܦܫܐ ܠܡܚܝܘ ܐܘ ܠܡܘܒܕܘ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܫܬܝܩܝܢ ܗܘܘ
'mr dyn 'p lhwn shlyT bshbth' lmebd dTb 'w dbysh npsh' lmkhyw 'w lmwbdw hnwn dyn shthyqyn hww
He said to them,
“Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?” But they were silent.

ܘܚܪ ܒܗܘܢ ܒܚܡܬܐ ܟܕ ܟܪܝܐ ܠܗ ܥܠ ܩܫܝܘܬ ܠܒܗܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘ ܓܒܪܐ ܦܫܘܛ ܐܝܕܟ ܘܦܫܛ ܘܬܩܢܬ ܐܝܕܗ
wkhr bhwn bkhmth' kd kry' lh el qshywth lbhwn w'mr lhw gbr' pshwT 'ydk wpshT wthqnth 'ydh
When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man,
“Stretch out your hand.”
He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.

ܘܢܦܩܘ ܦܪܝܫܐ ܒܪ ܫܥܬܗ ܥܡ ܕܒܝܬ ܗܪܘܕܣ ܘܡܠܟܐ ܢܣܒܘ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܢܘܒܕܘܢܝܗܝ

The Pharisees went out, and immediately conspired with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

ܘܝܫܘܥ ܥܡ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܐܙܠ ܠܗ ܠܘܬ ܝܡܐ ܘܥܡܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܡܢ ܓܠܝܠܐ ܢܩܦܗ ܗܘܐ ܘܡܢ ܝܗܘܕ

Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples, and a great multitude followed him from Galilee, from Judea,

from Jerusalem, from Idumaea, beyond the Jordan, and those from around Tyre and Sidon. A great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came to him.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܕܢܩܪܒܘܢ ܠܗ ܣܦܝܢܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܟܢܫܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܚܒܨܘܢܝܗܝ

He spoke to his disciples that a little boat should stay near him because of the crowd, so that they wouldn’t press on him.

ܣܓܝܐܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܐܣܐ ܗܘܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܢܦܠܝܢ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܢܬܩܪܒܘܢ ܠܗ
sgy'' gyr m's' hw' edm' dnhwwn nplyn elwhy mTl dnthqrbwn lh
For he had healed many, so that as many as had diseases pressed on him that they might touch him.

ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܝܬ ܗܘܝ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܚܘܬܐ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܛܢܦܬܐ ܡܐ ܕܚܙܐܘܗܝ ܢܦܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܘܩܥܝܢ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ

The unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, “You are the Son of God!”

ܘܣܓܝ ܟܐܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܗܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܓܠܘܢܝܗܝ

He sternly warned them that they should not make him known.

ܘܣܠܩ ܠܛܘܪܐ ܘܩܪܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܨܒܐ ܘܐܬܘ ܠܘܬܗ

He went up into the mountain, and called to himself those whom he wanted, and they went to him.

ܘܓܒܐ ܬܪܥܣܪ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܥܡܗ ܘܕܢܫܕܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܢܟܪܙܘܢ

He appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them out to preach,

and to have authority to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:

ܘܠܝܥܩܘܒ ܒܪ ܙܒܕܝ ܘܠܝܘܚܢܢ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܕܝܥܩܘܒ ܣܡ ܠܗܘܢ ܫܡܐ ܒܢܝ-ܪܓܫܝ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܒܢܝ ܪܥܡܐ

James the son of Zebedee; and John, the brother of James, (whom he called Boanerges, which means, Sons of Thunder);

ܘܝܗܘܕܐ ܣܟܪܝܘܛܐ ܗܘ ܕܐܫܠܡܗ ܘܐܬܘ ܠܒܝܬܐ

and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
Then he came into a house.

ܘܐܬܟܢܫܘ ܟܢܫܐ ܬܘܒ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܫܟܚܘܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܚܡܐ ܠܡܐܟܠ

The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

ܘܫܡܥܘ ܐܚܝܢܘܗܝ ܘܢܦܩܘ ܠܡܐܚܕܗ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܓܝܪ ܕܡܢ ܗܘܢܗ ܢܦܩ

When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him: for they said, “He is insane.”

ܘܣܦܪܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܢ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܢܚܬܘ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܥܠܙܒܘܒ ܐܝܬ ܒܗ ܘܒܪܫܐ ܕܕܝܘܐ ܡܦܩ ܕܝܘܐ

The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons.”

ܘܩܪܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܒܡܬܠܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܣܛܢܐ ܠܣܛܢܐ ܠܡܦܩܘ

He summoned them, and said to them in parables,
“How can Satan cast out Satan?

ܐܢ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܓܝܪ ܥܠ ܢܦܫܗ ܬܬܦܠܓ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܐ ܠܡܩܡ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܗܝ
'n mlkwth' gyr el npshh ththplg l' mshkkh' lmqm mlkwth' hy
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

ܘܐܢ ܒܝܬܐ ܥܠ ܢܦܫܗ ܢܬܦܠܓ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܒܝܬܐ ܗܘ ܠܡܩܡ
w'n byth' el npshh nthplg l' mshkkh byth' hw lmqm
If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

ܘܐܢ ܗܘ ܕܣܛܢܐ ܩܡ ܥܠ ܢܦܫܗ ܘܐܬܦܠܓ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܠܡܩܡ ܐܠܐ ܚܪܬܗ ܗܝ
w'n hw dsTn' qm el npshh w'thplg l' mshkkh lmqm 'l' khrthh hy
If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can’t stand, but has an end.

ܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܡܫܟܚ ܕܢܥܘܠ ܠܒܝܬ ܚܣܝܢܐ ܘܢܚܛܘܦ ܡܐܢܘܗܝ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܠܚܣܝܢܐ ܢܐܣܘܪ ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܒܝܬܗ ܢܒܘܙ
l' 'nsh mshkkh dnewl lbyth khsyn' wnkhTwp m'nwhy 'l' 'n lwqdm lkhsyn' n'swr whydyn bythh nbwz
But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder, unless he first binds the strong man; and then he will plunder his house.

ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܚܛܗܐ ܘܓܘܕܦܐ ܕܢܓܕܦܘܢ ܒܢܝ ܐܢܫܐ ܢܫܬܒܩܘܢ ܠܗܘܢ
'myn 'mr 'n' lkwn dklhwn khTh' wgwdp' dngdpwn bny 'nsh' nshthbqwn lhwn
Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme;

ܡܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܢܓܕܦ ܥܠ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܗ ܫܘܒܩܢܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܐܠܐ ܡܚܝܒ ܗܘ ܠܕܝܢܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ
mn dyn dngdp el rwkh' dqwdsh' lyth lh shwbqn' lelm 'l' mkhyb hw ldyn' dlelm
but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation.”

ܡܛܠ ܕܐܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܛܢܦܬܐ ܐܝܬ ܒܗ

—because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”

ܘܐܬܘ ܐܡܗ ܘܐܚܘܗܝ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܠܒܪ ܘܫܕܪܘ ܕܢܩܪܘܢܝܗܝ ܠܗܘܢ

His mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.

ܝܬܒ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܚܕܪܘܗܝ ܟܢܫܐ ܘܐܡܪܘ ܠܗ ܗܐ ܐܡܟ ܘܐܚܝܟ ܠܒܪ ܒܥܝܢ ܠܟ
ythb hw' dyn khdrwhy knsh' w'mrw lh h' 'mk w'khyk lbr beyn lk
A multitude was sitting around him, and they told him, “Behold, your mother, your brothers, and your sisters are outside looking for you.”

ܘܥܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܗܝ ܐܡܝ ܘܡܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܚܝ

He answered them,
“Who are my mother and my brothers?”

ܘܚܪ ܒܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܝܬܒܝܢ ܠܘܬܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܗܐ ܐܡܝ ܘܗܐ ܐܚܝ
wkhr b'ylyn dythbyn lwthh w'mr h' 'my wh' 'khy
Looking around at those who sat around him, he said,
“Behold, my mother and my brothers!

ܡܢ ܕܢܥܒܕ ܓܝܪ ܨܒܝܢܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܗܘܝܘ ܐܚܝ ܘܚܬܝ ܘܐܡܝ

For whoever does the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.”
