ܘܟܕ ܢܦܩ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܢ ܗܝܟܠܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܗܐ ܚܙܝ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܟܐܦܐ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܒܢܝܢܐ
bnyn' w'ylyn k'p' 'ylyn khzy h' mlpn' thlmydwhy mn khd lh 'mr hykl' mn yshwe npq wkd
As he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, see what kind of stones and what kind of buildings!”

ܝܫܘܥ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܚܙܐ ܐܢܬ ܗܠܝܢ ܒܢܝܢܐ ܪܘܪܒܐ ܠܐ ܡܫܬܒܩܐ ܗܪܟܐ ܟܐܦ ܥܠ ܟܐܦ ܕܠܐ ܡܣܬܬܪܐ

Jesus said to him,
“Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone on another, which will not be thrown down.”

ܘܟܕ ܝܬܒ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܛܘܪܐ ܕܙܝܬܐ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܗܝܟܠܐ ܫܐܠܘܗܝ ܟܐܦܐ ܘܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܝܘܚܢܢ ܘܐܢܕܪܐܘܣ ܒܠܚܘܕܝܗܘܢ

As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,

ܐܡܪ ܠܢ ܐܡܬܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܘܡܢܐ ܐܬܐ ܡܐ ܕܩܪܝܒܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܠܡܫܬܠܡܘ
lmshthlmw klhyn hlyn dqrybn m' 'th' wmn' nhwyn hlyn 'mthy ln 'mr
“Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are all about to be fulfilled?”

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܫܪܝ ܠܡܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܚܙܘ ܕܠܡܐ ܐܢܫ ܢܛܥܝܟܘܢ
nTeykwn 'nsh dlm' khzw lhwn lm'mr shry yshwe dyn hw
Jesus, answering, began to tell them,
“Be careful that no one leads you astray.

ܣܓܝܐܐ ܓܝܪ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܒܫܡܝ ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܘܠܣܓܝܐܐ ܢܛܥܘܢ
nTewn wlsgy'' 'n' d'n' wn'mrwn bshmy n'thwn gyr sgy''
For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’
and will lead many astray.

ܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܫܡܥܬܘܢ ܩܪܒܐ ܘܛܒܐ ܕܩܐܪܣܐ ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠܘܢ ܥܬܝܕ ܗܘ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܐܠܐ ܠܐ ܥܕܟܝܠ ܚܪܬܐ
khrth' edkyl l' 'l' dnhw' hw ethyd thdkhlwn l' dq'rs' wTb' qrb' dshmethwn dyn m'
“When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, don’t be troubled. For those must happen, but the end is not yet.

ܢܩܘܡ ܓܝܪ ܥܡܐ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܘܡܠܟܘ ܥܠ ܡܠܟܘ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܙܘܥܐ ܒܕܘܟܐ ܕܘܟܐ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܟܦܢܐ ܘܫܓܘܫܝܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܪܫܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܕܚܒܠܐ
dkhbl' 'nyn rsh' hlyn wshgwshy' kpn' wnhwwn dwk' bdwk' zwe' wnhwwn mlkw el wmlkw em' el em' gyr nqwm
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines and troubles. These things are the beginning of birth pains.

ܚܙܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܢܫܠܡܘܢܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܠܕܝܢܐ ܘܒܟܢܘܫܬܗܘܢ ܬܬܢܓܕܘܢ ܘܩܕܡ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܗܓܡܘܢܐ ܬܩܘܡܘܢ ܡܛܠܬܝ ܠܣܗܕܘܬܗܘܢ
lshdwthhwn mTlthy thqwmwn whgmwn' mlk' wqdm ththngdwn wbknwshthhwn ldyn' gyr nshlmwnkwn npshkwn 'nthwn dyn khzw
But watch yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them.

ܠܘܩܕܡ ܕܝܢ ܥܬܝܕܐ ܕܬܬܟܪܙ ܣܒܪܬܝ ܒܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܡܐ
emm' bklhwn sbrthy dththkrz ethyd' dyn lwqdm
The Good News must first be preached to all the nations.

ܡܐ ܕܡܩܪܒܝܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܢܫܠܡܘܢܟܘܢ ܠܐ ܬܩܕܡܘܢ ܬܐܨܦܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܬܡܠܠܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܬܪܢܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܡܬܝܗܒ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܗܝ ܫܥܬܐ ܗܘ ܡܠܠܘ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܡܠܠܝܢ ܐܠܐ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ
dqwdsh' rwkh' 'l' mmllyn 'nthwn gyr hw' l' mllw hw sheth' bhy lkwn dmthyhb mdm 'l' thrnwn wl' thmllwn mn' th'tspwn thqdmwn l' dnshlmwnkwn dyn lkwn dmqrbyn m'
When they lead you away and deliver you up, don’t be anxious beforehand, or premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.

ܢܫܠܡ ܕܝܢ ܐܚܐ ܠܐܚܘܗܝ ܠܡܘܬܐ ܘܐܒܐ ܠܒܪܗ ܘܢܩܘܡܘܢ ܒܢܝܐ ܥܠ ܐܒܗܝܗܘܢ ܘܢܡܝܬܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn wnmythwn 'bhyhwn el bny' wnqwmwn lbrh w'b' lmwth' l'khwhy 'kh' dyn nshlm
“Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.

ܘܬܗܘܘܢ ܣܢܝܐܝܢ ܡܢ ܟܠܢܫ ܡܛܠ ܫܡܝ ܡܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܢܣܝܒܪ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܚܪܬܐ ܗܘ ܢܚܐ
nkh' hw lkhrth' edm' dnsybr dyn mn shmy mTl klnsh mn sny'yn wthhwwn
You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.

ܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܐܬܐ ܛܢܦܬܐ ܕܚܘܪܒܐ ܗܝ ܕܐܡܝܪܐ ܒܕܢܝܐܝܠ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܩܝܡܐ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܩܪܐ ܢܣܬܟܠ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܝܗܘܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܢܥܪܩܘܢ ܠܛܘܪܐ
lTwr' nerqwn 'nwn dbyhwd 'ylyn hydyn nsthkl dqr' hw wl' dl' 'yk' dqym' nby' bdny'yl d'myr' hy dkhwrb' Tnpth' 'th' dkhzythwn dyn m'
But when you see the abomination of desolation,
spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains,

ܘܡܢ ܕܒܐܓܪܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܢܚܘܬ ܘܠܐ ܢܥܘܠ ܠܡܫܩܠ ܡܕܡ ܡܢ ܒܝܬܗ
bythh mn mdm lmshql newl wl' nkhwth l' hw db'gr' wmn
and let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house.

ܘܡܢ ܕܒܚܩܠܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܢܬܗܦܟ ܠܒܣܬܪܗ ܕܢܫܩܘܠ ܠܒܫܗ
lbshh dnshqwl lbsthrh nthhpk l' hw dbkhql' wmn
Let him who is in the field not return back to take his cloak.

ܘܝ ܕܝܢ ܠܒܛܢܬܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܝܢܩܢ ܒܗܢܘܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ
ywmth' bhnwn dmynqn wl'ylyn lbTnth' dyn wy
But woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babies in those days!

ܨܠܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܥܪܘܩܝܟܘܢ ܒܣܬܘܐ
bsthw' erwqykwn nhw' dl' dyn tslw
Pray that your flight won’t be in the winter.

ܢܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܒܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܐܟܘܬܗ ܡܢ ܪܝܫ ܒܪܝܬܐ ܕܒܪܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܗܫܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ
nhw' wl' lhsh' edm' 'lh' dbr' bryth' rysh mn 'kwthh hw' dl' 'wltsn' hnwn bywmth' gyr nhw'
For in those days there will be oppression, such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be.

ܘܐܠܘ ܠܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܟܪܝ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܠܐ ܚܝܐ ܗܘܐ ܟܠ ܒܣܪ ܐܠܐ ܡܛܠ ܓܒܝܐ ܕܓܒܐ ܟܪܝ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ
hnwn ywmth' kry dgb' gby' mTl 'l' bsr kl hw' khy' l' hnwn ywmth' dkry mry' l' w'lw
Unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the chosen ones, whom he picked out, he shortened the days.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܢܐܡܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܗܐ ܗܪܟܐ ܗܘ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܗܐ ܗܪܬܡܢ ܠܐ ܬܗܝܡܢܘܢ
thhymnwn l' hrthmn wh' mshykh' hw hrk' dh' lkwn n'mr 'nsh 'n hydyn
Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ don’t believe it.

ܢܩܘܡܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܕܓܠܘܬܐ ܘܢܒܝܐ ܕܟܕܒܘܬܐ ܘܢܬܠܘܢ ܐܬܘܬܐ ܘܬܕܡܪܬܐ ܘܢܛܥܘܢ ܐܢ ܡܫܟܚܐ ܐܦ ܠܓܒܝܐ
lgby' 'p mshkkh' 'n wnTewn wthdmrth' 'thwth' wnthlwn dkdbwth' wnby' ddglwth' mshykh' gyr nqwmwn
For there will arise false christs and false prophets, and will show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܙܕܗܪܘ ܗܐ ܩܕܡܬ ܐܡܪܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܟܠ ܡܕܡ
mdm kl lkwn 'mrth qdmth h' 'zdhrw dyn 'nthwn
But you watch.
“Behold, I have told you all things beforehand.

ܒܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܒܬܪ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܗܘ ܫܡܫܐ ܢܚܫܟ ܘܣܗܪܐ ܠܐ ܢܬܠ ܢܘܗܪܗ
nwhrh nthl l' wshr' nkhshk shmsh' hw 'wltsn' bthr ywmth' dyn bhnwn
But in those days, after that oppression, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light,
25
ܘܟܘܟܒܐ ܢܦܠܘܢ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܚܝܠܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܢܬܬܙܝܥܘܢ
nththzyewn dshmy' wkhylwth' shmy' mn nplwn wkwkb'
the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.

ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܚܙܘܢܝܗܝ ܠܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܟܕ ܐܬܐ ܒܥܢܢܐ ܥܡ ܚܝܠܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܥܡ ܫܘܒܚܐ
shwbkh' wem rb' khyl' em benn' 'th' kd d'nsh' lbrh nkhzwnyhy whydyn
Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܫܕܪ ܡܠܐܟܘܗܝ ܘܢܟܢܫ ܠܓܒܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܐܪܒܥܬܝܗܝܢ ܪܘܚܐ ܡܢ ܪܫܗ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܪܫܗ ܕܫܡܝܐ
dshmy' lrshh wedm' d're' rshh mn rwkh' 'rbethyhyn mn lgbwhy wnknsh ml'kwhy nshdr hydyn
Then he will send out his angels, and will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the sky.

ܡܢ ܬܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܝܠܦܘ ܦܠܐܬܐ ܕܡܐ ܕܪܟ ܣܘܟܝܗ ܘܦܪܥܘ ܛܪܦܝܗ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܡܛܐ ܩܝܛܐ
qyT' dmT' 'nthwn ydeyn Trpyh wprew swkyh drk dm' pl'th' ylpw dyn thth' mn
“Now from the fig tree, learn this parable. When the branch has now become tender, and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near;

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܐ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܗܘܝܢ ܕܥܘ ܕܩܪܝܒܐ ܗܝ ܥܠ ܬܪܥܐ
thre' el hy dqryb' dew dhwyn hlyn dkhzythwn m' 'nthwn 'p hkn'
even so you also, when you see these things coming to pass, know that it is near, at the doors.

ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܥܒܪ ܫܪܒܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ
nhwyn klhyn dhlyn edm' hd' shrbth' thebr dl' lkwn 'n' 'mr 'myn
Most certainly I say to you, this generation
will not pass away until all these things happen.

ܫܡܝܐ ܘܐܪܥܐ ܢܥܒܪܘܢ ܘܡܠܝ ܠܐ ܢܥܒܪܢ
nebrn l' wmly nebrwn w're' shmy'
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
32
ܥܠ ܕܝܢ ܝܘܡܐ ܗܘ ܘܥܠ ܫܥܬܐ ܗܝ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܦܠܐ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܪܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܐܒܐ
'b' 'n 'l' br' wl' dshmy' ml'k' 'pl' yde l' 'nsh hy sheth' wel hw ywm' dyn el
But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

ܚܙܘ ܐܬܬܥܝܪܘ ܘܨܠܘ ܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܡܬܝ ܗܘ ܙܒܢܐ
zbn' hw 'mthy 'nthwn ydeyn gyr l' wtslw 'ththeyrw khzw
Watch, keep alert, and pray; for you don’t know when the time is.

ܐܝܟ ܓܒܪܐ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܕܚܙܩ ܘܫܒܩ ܒܝܬܗ ܘܝܗܒ ܫܘܠܛܢܐ ܠܥܒܕܘܗܝ ܘܠܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܥܒܕܗ ܘܠܬܪܥܐ ܦܩܕ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܥܝܪ
eyr dnhw' pqd wlthre' ebdh 'nsh wl'nsh lebdwhy shwlTn' wyhb bythh wshbq dkhzq gyr hw gbr' 'yk
“It is like a man, traveling to another country, having left his house, and given authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.

ܐܬܬܥܝܪܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܡܬܝ ܐܬܐ ܡܪܗ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܒܪܡܫܐ ܐܘ ܒܦܠܓܗ ܕܠܠܝܐ ܐܘ ܒܡܩܪܐ ܬܪܢܓܠܐ ܐܘ ܒܨܦܪܐ
btspr' 'w thrngl' bmqr' 'w dlly' bplgh 'w brmsh' dbyth' mrh 'th' 'mthy 'nthwn ydeyn dl' hkyl 'ththeyrw
Watch therefore, for you don’t know when the lord of the house is coming, whether at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning;

ܕܠܡܐ ܢܐܬܐ ܡܢ ܫܠܝܐ ܘܢܫܟܚܟܘܢ ܟܕ ܕܡܟܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn dmkyn kd wnshkkhkwn shly' mn n'th' dlm'
lest coming suddenly he might find you sleeping.
