ܘܟܕ ܢܦܩ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܢ ܗܝܟܠܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܗܐ ܚܙܝ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܟܐܦܐ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܒܢܝܢܐ

As he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, see what kind of stones and what kind of buildings!”

ܝܫܘܥ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܚܙܐ ܐܢܬ ܗܠܝܢ ܒܢܝܢܐ ܪܘܪܒܐ ܠܐ ܡܫܬܒܩܐ ܗܪܟܐ ܟܐܦ ܥܠ ܟܐܦ ܕܠܐ ܡܣܬܬܪܐ

Jesus said to him,
“Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone on another, which will not be thrown down.”

ܘܟܕ ܝܬܒ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܛܘܪܐ ܕܙܝܬܐ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܗܝܟܠܐ ܫܐܠܘܗܝ ܟܐܦܐ ܘܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܝܘܚܢܢ ܘܐܢܕܪܐܘܣ ܒܠܚܘܕܝܗܘܢ

As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,

ܐܡܪ ܠܢ ܐܡܬܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܘܡܢܐ ܐܬܐ ܡܐ ܕܩܪܝܒܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܠܡܫܬܠܡܘ
'mr ln 'mthy hlyn nhwyn wmn' 'th' m' dqrybn hlyn klhyn lmshthlmw
“Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are all about to be fulfilled?”

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܫܪܝ ܠܡܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܚܙܘ ܕܠܡܐ ܐܢܫ ܢܛܥܝܟܘܢ
hw dyn yshwe shry lm'mr lhwn khzw dlm' 'nsh nTeykwn
Jesus, answering, began to tell them,
“Be careful that no one leads you astray.

ܣܓܝܐܐ ܓܝܪ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܒܫܡܝ ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܘܠܣܓܝܐܐ ܢܛܥܘܢ
sgy'' gyr n'thwn bshmy wn'mrwn d'n' 'n' wlsgy'' nTewn
For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’
and will lead many astray.

ܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܫܡܥܬܘܢ ܩܪܒܐ ܘܛܒܐ ܕܩܐܪܣܐ ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠܘܢ ܥܬܝܕ ܗܘ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܐܠܐ ܠܐ ܥܕܟܝܠ ܚܪܬܐ
m' dyn dshmethwn qrb' wTb' dq'rs' l' thdkhlwn ethyd hw dnhw' 'l' l' edkyl khrth'
“When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, don’t be troubled. For those must happen, but the end is not yet.

ܢܩܘܡ ܓܝܪ ܥܡܐ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܘܡܠܟܘ ܥܠ ܡܠܟܘ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܙܘܥܐ ܒܕܘܟܐ ܕܘܟܐ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܟܦܢܐ ܘܫܓܘܫܝܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܪܫܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܕܚܒܠܐ
nqwm gyr em' el em' wmlkw el mlkw wnhwwn zwe' bdwk' dwk' wnhwwn kpn' wshgwshy' hlyn rsh' 'nyn dkhbl'
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines and troubles. These things are the beginning of birth pains.

ܚܙܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܢܫܠܡܘܢܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܠܕܝܢܐ ܘܒܟܢܘܫܬܗܘܢ ܬܬܢܓܕܘܢ ܘܩܕܡ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܗܓܡܘܢܐ ܬܩܘܡܘܢ ܡܛܠܬܝ ܠܣܗܕܘܬܗܘܢ
khzw dyn 'nthwn npshkwn nshlmwnkwn gyr ldyn' wbknwshthhwn ththngdwn wqdm mlk' whgmwn' thqwmwn mTlthy lshdwthhwn
But watch yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them.

ܠܘܩܕܡ ܕܝܢ ܥܬܝܕܐ ܕܬܬܟܪܙ ܣܒܪܬܝ ܒܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܡܐ
lwqdm dyn ethyd' dththkrz sbrthy bklhwn emm'
The Good News must first be preached to all the nations.

ܡܐ ܕܡܩܪܒܝܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܢܫܠܡܘܢܟܘܢ ܠܐ ܬܩܕܡܘܢ ܬܐܨܦܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܬܡܠܠܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܬܪܢܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܡܬܝܗܒ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܗܝ ܫܥܬܐ ܗܘ ܡܠܠܘ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܡܠܠܝܢ ܐܠܐ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ
m' dmqrbyn lkwn dyn dnshlmwnkwn l' thqdmwn th'tspwn mn' thmllwn wl' thrnwn 'l' mdm dmthyhb lkwn bhy sheth' hw mllw l' hw' gyr 'nthwn mmllyn 'l' rwkh' dqwdsh'
When they lead you away and deliver you up, don’t be anxious beforehand, or premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.

ܢܫܠܡ ܕܝܢ ܐܚܐ ܠܐܚܘܗܝ ܠܡܘܬܐ ܘܐܒܐ ܠܒܪܗ ܘܢܩܘܡܘܢ ܒܢܝܐ ܥܠ ܐܒܗܝܗܘܢ ܘܢܡܝܬܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ
nshlm dyn 'kh' l'khwhy lmwth' w'b' lbrh wnqwmwn bny' el 'bhyhwn wnmythwn 'nwn
“Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.

ܘܬܗܘܘܢ ܣܢܝܐܝܢ ܡܢ ܟܠܢܫ ܡܛܠ ܫܡܝ ܡܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܢܣܝܒܪ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܚܪܬܐ ܗܘ ܢܚܐ
wthhwwn sny'yn mn klnsh mTl shmy mn dyn dnsybr edm' lkhrth' hw nkh'
You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.

ܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܐܬܐ ܛܢܦܬܐ ܕܚܘܪܒܐ ܗܝ ܕܐܡܝܪܐ ܒܕܢܝܐܝܠ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܩܝܡܐ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܩܪܐ ܢܣܬܟܠ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܝܗܘܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܢܥܪܩܘܢ ܠܛܘܪܐ
m' dyn dkhzythwn 'th' Tnpth' dkhwrb' hy d'myr' bdny'yl nby' dqym' 'yk' dl' wl' hw dqr' nsthkl hydyn 'ylyn dbyhwd 'nwn nerqwn lTwr'
But when you see the abomination of desolation,
spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains,

ܘܡܢ ܕܒܐܓܪܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܢܚܘܬ ܘܠܐ ܢܥܘܠ ܠܡܫܩܠ ܡܕܡ ܡܢ ܒܝܬܗ
wmn db'gr' hw l' nkhwth wl' newl lmshql mdm mn bythh
and let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house.

ܘܡܢ ܕܒܚܩܠܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܢܬܗܦܟ ܠܒܣܬܪܗ ܕܢܫܩܘܠ ܠܒܫܗ

Let him who is in the field not return back to take his cloak.

ܘܝ ܕܝܢ ܠܒܛܢܬܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܝܢܩܢ ܒܗܢܘܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ
wy dyn lbTnth' wl'ylyn dmynqn bhnwn ywmth'
But woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babies in those days!

ܨܠܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܥܪܘܩܝܟܘܢ ܒܣܬܘܐ
tslw dyn dl' nhw' erwqykwn bsthw'
Pray that your flight won’t be in the winter.

ܢܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܒܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܐܟܘܬܗ ܡܢ ܪܝܫ ܒܪܝܬܐ ܕܒܪܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܗܫܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ
nhw' gyr bywmth' hnwn 'wltsn' dl' hw' 'kwthh mn rysh bryth' dbr' 'lh' edm' lhsh' wl' nhw'
For in those days there will be oppression, such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be.

ܘܐܠܘ ܠܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܟܪܝ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܠܐ ܚܝܐ ܗܘܐ ܟܠ ܒܣܪ ܐܠܐ ܡܛܠ ܓܒܝܐ ܕܓܒܐ ܟܪܝ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ
w'lw l' mry' dkry ywmth' hnwn l' khy' hw' kl bsr 'l' mTl gby' dgb' kry ywmth' hnwn
Unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the chosen ones, whom he picked out, he shortened the days.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܢܐܡܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܗܐ ܗܪܟܐ ܗܘ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܗܐ ܗܪܬܡܢ ܠܐ ܬܗܝܡܢܘܢ
hydyn 'n 'nsh n'mr lkwn dh' hrk' hw mshykh' wh' hrthmn l' thhymnwn
Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ don’t believe it.

ܢܩܘܡܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܕܓܠܘܬܐ ܘܢܒܝܐ ܕܟܕܒܘܬܐ ܘܢܬܠܘܢ ܐܬܘܬܐ ܘܬܕܡܪܬܐ ܘܢܛܥܘܢ ܐܢ ܡܫܟܚܐ ܐܦ ܠܓܒܝܐ
nqwmwn gyr mshykh' ddglwth' wnby' dkdbwth' wnthlwn 'thwth' wthdmrth' wnTewn 'n mshkkh' 'p lgby'
For there will arise false christs and false prophets, and will show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܙܕܗܪܘ ܗܐ ܩܕܡܬ ܐܡܪܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܟܠ ܡܕܡ
'nthwn dyn 'zdhrw h' qdmth 'mrth lkwn kl mdm
But you watch.
“Behold, I have told you all things beforehand.

ܒܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܒܬܪ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܗܘ ܫܡܫܐ ܢܚܫܟ ܘܣܗܪܐ ܠܐ ܢܬܠ ܢܘܗܪܗ
bhnwn dyn ywmth' bthr 'wltsn' hw shmsh' nkhshk wshr' l' nthl nwhrh
But in those days, after that oppression, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light,

ܘܟܘܟܒܐ ܢܦܠܘܢ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܚܝܠܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܢܬܬܙܝܥܘܢ
wkwkb' nplwn mn shmy' wkhylwth' dshmy' nththzyewn
the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.

ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܚܙܘܢܝܗܝ ܠܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܟܕ ܐܬܐ ܒܥܢܢܐ ܥܡ ܚܝܠܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܥܡ ܫܘܒܚܐ
whydyn nkhzwnyhy lbrh d'nsh' kd 'th' benn' em khyl' rb' wem shwbkh'
Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܫܕܪ ܡܠܐܟܘܗܝ ܘܢܟܢܫ ܠܓܒܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܐܪܒܥܬܝܗܝܢ ܪܘܚܐ ܡܢ ܪܫܗ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܪܫܗ ܕܫܡܝܐ
hydyn nshdr ml'kwhy wnknsh lgbwhy mn 'rbethyhyn rwkh' mn rshh d're' wedm' lrshh dshmy'
Then he will send out his angels, and will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the sky.

ܡܢ ܬܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܝܠܦܘ ܦܠܐܬܐ ܕܡܐ ܕܪܟ ܣܘܟܝܗ ܘܦܪܥܘ ܛܪܦܝܗ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܡܛܐ ܩܝܛܐ
mn thth' dyn ylpw pl'th' dm' drk swkyh wprew Trpyh ydeyn 'nthwn dmT' qyT'
“Now from the fig tree, learn this parable. When the branch has now become tender, and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near;

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܐ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܗܘܝܢ ܕܥܘ ܕܩܪܝܒܐ ܗܝ ܥܠ ܬܪܥܐ
hkn' 'p 'nthwn m' dkhzythwn hlyn dhwyn dew dqryb' hy el thre'
even so you also, when you see these things coming to pass, know that it is near, at the doors.

ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܥܒܪ ܫܪܒܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ
'myn 'mr 'n' lkwn dl' thebr shrbth' hd' edm' dhlyn klhyn nhwyn
Most certainly I say to you, this generation
will not pass away until all these things happen.

ܫܡܝܐ ܘܐܪܥܐ ܢܥܒܪܘܢ ܘܡܠܝ ܠܐ ܢܥܒܪܢ
shmy' w're' nebrwn wmly l' nebrn
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

ܥܠ ܕܝܢ ܝܘܡܐ ܗܘ ܘܥܠ ܫܥܬܐ ܗܝ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܦܠܐ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܪܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܐܒܐ
el dyn ywm' hw wel sheth' hy 'nsh l' yde 'pl' ml'k' dshmy' wl' br' 'l' 'n 'b'
But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

ܚܙܘ ܐܬܬܥܝܪܘ ܘܨܠܘ ܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܡܬܝ ܗܘ ܙܒܢܐ

Watch, keep alert, and pray; for you don’t know when the time is.

ܐܝܟ ܓܒܪܐ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܕܚܙܩ ܘܫܒܩ ܒܝܬܗ ܘܝܗܒ ܫܘܠܛܢܐ ܠܥܒܕܘܗܝ ܘܠܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܥܒܕܗ ܘܠܬܪܥܐ ܦܩܕ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܥܝܪ
'yk gbr' hw gyr dkhzq wshbq bythh wyhb shwlTn' lebdwhy wl'nsh 'nsh ebdh wlthre' pqd dnhw' eyr
“It is like a man, traveling to another country, having left his house, and given authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.

ܐܬܬܥܝܪܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܡܬܝ ܐܬܐ ܡܪܗ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܒܪܡܫܐ ܐܘ ܒܦܠܓܗ ܕܠܠܝܐ ܐܘ ܒܡܩܪܐ ܬܪܢܓܠܐ ܐܘ ܒܨܦܪܐ
'ththeyrw hkyl dl' ydeyn 'nthwn 'mthy 'th' mrh dbyth' brmsh' 'w bplgh dlly' 'w bmqr' thrngl' 'w btspr'
Watch therefore, for you don’t know when the lord of the house is coming, whether at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning;

ܕܠܡܐ ܢܐܬܐ ܡܢ ܫܠܝܐ ܘܢܫܟܚܟܘܢ ܟܕ ܕܡܟܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
dlm' n'th' mn shly' wnshkkhkwn kd dmkyn 'nthwn
lest coming suddenly he might find you sleeping.

ܡܕܡ ܕܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܠܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܥܝܪܝܢ
mdm dlkwn dyn 'mr 'n' lklkwn hw 'mr 'n' hwythwn eyryn
What I tell you, I tell all: Watch.”
