ܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܫܕܪ ܐܢܐ ܡܠܐܟܝ ܘܢܫܦܐ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܩܕܡܝ ܘܡܢ ܫܠܝܐ ܢܐܬܐ ܠܗܝܟܠܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܕܡܣܟܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܗ ܘܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܩܝܡܐ ܕܨܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܗ ܗܐ ܐܬܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ

“Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me! The Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple. Behold, the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, is coming!” says Yahweh of Armies.

ܡܢܘ ܡܣܝܒܪ ܝܘܡܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܒܗ ܐܘ ܡܢܘ ܡܫܟܚ ܠܡܩܡ ܐܡܬܝ ܕܡܬܓܠܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܝܟ ܢܘܪܐ ܗܘ ܕܨܪܦܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܟܒܪܝܬܐ ܕܡܚܘܪܐ

“But who can endure the day of his coming? And who will stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire, and like launderers’ soap;

ܕܢܗܦܘܟ ܠܡܨܪܦ ܘܠܡܕܟܝܘ ܐܝܟ ܣܐܡܐ ܘܢܕܟܐ ܠܒܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܠܘܝ ܘܢܓܒܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܗܒܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܣܐܡܐ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܡܩܪܒܝܢ ܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܒܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ
bzdyqwth' lmry' qwrbn' mqrbyn wnhwwn s'm' w'yk dhb' 'yk 'nwn wngb' dlwy lbnwhy wndk' s'm' 'yk wlmdkyw lmtsrp dnhpwk
and he will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi, and refine them as gold and silver; and they shall offer to Yahweh offerings in righteousness.

ܘܢܒܣܡ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܕܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܐܝܟ ܝܘܡ̈ܬܐ ܕܡܢ ܥܠܡ ܘܐܝܟ ܫ̈ܢܝܐ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ
qdym dmn shny' w'yk elm dmn ywmth' 'yk wd'wrshlm dyhwd' qwrbn' lmry' wnbsm
Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasant to Yahweh as in the days of old and as in ancient years.

ܘܐܩܪܘܒ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܒܕܝܢܐ ܘܐܗܘܐ ܣܗܕܐ ܡܣܪܗܒܐ ܒܚܪ̈ܫܐ ܘܒܓܝܪ̈ܐ ܘܒܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܝܡܝܢ ܒܕܓܠܘܬܐ ܘܒܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܛܠܡܝܢ ܐܓܪܐ ܕܐܓܝܪܐ ܘܕܥܡܘܪܐ ܘܕܝܬܡܐ ܘܕܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܘܨܠܝܢ ܥܠ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܡܬܦܢܐ ܠܘܬܝ ܘܠܐ ܕܚܠܘ ܡܢܝ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ
khylthn' mry' 'mr mny dkhlw wl' lwthy dmthpn' 'yn' el wtslyn wd'rmlth' wdythm' wdemwr' d'gyr' 'gr' dTlmyn wb'ylyn bdglwth' dymyn wb'ylyn wbgyr' bkhrsh' msrhb' shd' w'hw' bdyn' elykwn w'qrwb
I will come near to you to judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against the perjurers, and against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and who deprive the foreigner of justice, and don’t fear me,” says Yahweh of Armies.

ܡܛܠ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܬܚܠܦܬ ܘܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܠܐ ܥܒܪܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܥܘܠܟܘܢ

“For I, Yahweh, don’t change; therefore you, sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

ܡܢ ܝܘ̈ܡܝ ܐ̈ܒܗܝܟܘܢ ܣܛܝܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܝ ܘܠܐ ܫܡܥܬܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܬܦܢܘ ܠܘܬܝ ܘܐܬܦܢܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܘܐܢ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܡܢܐ ܢܬܦܢܐ
nthpn' bmn' 'nthwn 'mryn w'n khylthn' mry' 'mr elykwn w'thpn' lwthy 'thpnw 'nwn shmethwn wl' pwqdny mn sTythwn 'bhykwn ywmy mn
From the days of your fathers you have turned away from my ordinances and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says Yahweh of Armies. “But you say, ‘How shall we return?’

ܕܠܡܐ ܛܠܡ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܢܬܘܢ ܛܠܡܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܝ ܘܐܢ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܡܢܐ ܛܠܡܢܟ ܒܡܥܣܪ̈ܐ ܘܒܪ̈ܫܝܬܐ
wbrshyth' bmesr' Tlmnk bmn' 'nthwn 'mryn w'n ly 'nthwn Tlmyn d'nthwn 'yk l'lh' brnsh' Tlm dlm'
Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In tithes and offerings.

ܒ̈ܠܘܛܬܐ ܡܬܠܝܛܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܠܝ ܛܠܡܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ

You are cursed with the curse; for you rob me, even this whole nation.

ܐܝܬܘ ܡܥܣܪ̈ܐ ܠܐܘܨܪ̈ܝ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܡܐܟܘܠܬܐ ܒܒܝܬܝ ܘܢܣܐܘܢܝ ܒܗܕܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܘܐܦܬܚ ܠܟܘܢ ܟܘ̈ܝ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܐܣܘܟ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܘܪ̈ܟܬܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܬܐܡܪܘܢ ܟܕܘ
kdw dth'mrwn edm' bwrkth' lkwn w'swk shmy' kwy lkwn w'pthkh khylthn' mry' 'mr bhd' wns'wny bbythy m'kwlth' wnhwwn l'wtsry mesr' 'ythw
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be enough room for.

ܘܐܟܐܐ ܒܐܟܠܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܚܒܠ ܦܐܪ̈ܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܚܪܒ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܚܕܐ ܓܦܬܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ
khylthn' mry' 'mr b're' gpth' khd' l' 'p lkwn thkhrb wl' d're' p'r' nkhbl dl' b'kl' w'k''
I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast its fruit before its time in the field,” says Yahweh of Armies.

ܘܢܫܒܚܘܢܟܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܟܕ ܬܗܘܘܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܨܒܝܢܝ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ
khylthn' mry' 'mr dtsbyny 're' thhwwn kd emm' klhwn wnshbkhwnkwn
“All nations shall call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,” says Yahweh of Armies.

ܥܫܢ ܥܠܝ ܡ̈ܠܝܟܘܢ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܢ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܐܡܪܢ ܥܠܝܟ
elyk 'mrn mn' 'nthwn 'mryn w'n mry' 'mr mlykwn ely eshn
“Your words have been harsh against me,” says Yahweh. “Yet you say, ‘What have we spoken against you?’

ܐܡܪܬܘܢ ܕܣܪܝܩܐܝܬ ܦܠܚܢܝܗܝ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܘܡܢܐ ܐܘܬܪܢ ܕܢܛܪܢ ܢܛܘܪ̈ܬܗ ܘܕܗܠܟܢ ܡܟܝܟܐܝܬ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ

You have said, ‘It is vain to serve God,’ and ‘What profit is it that we have followed his instructions and that we have walked mournfully before Yahweh of Armies?

ܘܡܢ ܗܫܐ ܛܘܒܐ ܝܗܒܝܢܢ ܠܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܘܡܬܒܢܝܢ ܥܒ̈ܕܝ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܘܡܢܣܝܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܘܡܬܦܨܝܢ
wmthptsyn l'lh' wmnsyn khTyth' ebdy wmthbnyn lewl' yhbynn Twb' hsh' wmn
Now we call the proud happy; yes, those who work wickedness are built up; yes, they tempt God, and escape.’

ܗܠܝܢ ܡܠܠܘ ܕܚ̈ܠܘܗܝ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܓܒܪ ܥܡ ܚܒܪܗ ܘܨܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܫܡܥ ܘܟܬܒ ܒܣܦܪܐ ܕܕܘܟܪܢܐ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܠܕܚ̈ܠܘܗܝ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܫܒܚܝܢ ܠܫܡܗ
lshmh dmshbkhyn wl'ylyn ldkhlwhy qdmwhy ddwkrn' bspr' wkthb wshme mry' wtsth khbrh em gbr dmry' dkhlwhy mllw hlyn
Then those who feared Yahweh spoke one with another; and Yahweh listened and heard, and a book of memory was written before him for those who feared Yahweh and who honored his name.

ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܠܝ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܠܝܘܡܐ ܕܥܒܕ ܐܢܐ ܟܢܘܫܝܐ ܘܐܚܘܣ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܚܐܣ ܓܒܪܐ ܥܠ ܒܪܗ ܕܦܠܚ ܠܗ
lh dplkh brh el gbr' dkh's 'yk elyhwn w'khws knwshy' 'n' debd lywm' khylthn' mry' 'mr ly wnhwwn
They shall be mine,” says Yahweh of Armies, “my own possession in the day that I make. I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.

ܘܬܬܗܦܟܘܢ ܘܬܚܙܘܢ ܒܝܬ ܙܕܝܩ̈ܐ ܠܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܘܒܝܬ ܕܦܠܚܘ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܦܠܚܘܗܝ
plkhwhy dl' l'ylyn l'lh' dplkhw wbyth lewl' zdyq' byth wthkhzwn wththhpkwn
Then you shall return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who doesn’t serve him.

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܐ ܝܘܡ̈ܬܐ ܐܬܝܢ ܘܢܐܩܕ ܐܝܟ ܬܢܘܪܐ ܪܘܓܙܝ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܒ̈ܕܝ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܚܒܬܐ ܘܢܘܩܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܝܘܡܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܫܒܘܩ ܠܗܘܢ ܥܩܪܐ ܘܥܘܦܐ

ܘܬܕܢܚ ܠܟܘܢ ܠܕܚ̈ܠܝ ܫܡܝ ܫܡܫܐ ܕܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܘܐܣܝܘܬܐ ܥܠ ܠܫܢܗ̇ ܘܬܦܩܘܢ ܘܬܕܝܨܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܥ̈ܓܠܐ ܕܒܩܪܐ

ܘܬܕܝܫܘܢ ܠܥܘ̈ܠܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܩܛܡܐ ܬܚܝܬ ܦܣܬ ܪ̈ܓܠܝܟܘܢ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܥܒܕ ܐܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ

ܐܬܕܟܪܘ ܢܡܘܣܗ ܕܡܘܫܐ ܥܒܕܝ ܕܦܩܕܬܗ ܒܚܘܪܝܒ ܥܠ ܟܠܗ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܐ ܘܕܝ̈ܢܐ
