ܚܪ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܥܬܝܪܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܪܡܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܝܬ ܓܙܐ ܩܘܪܒܢܝܗܘܢ
khr dyn yshwe bethyr' 'ylyn drmyn hww byth gz' qwrbnyhwn
He looked up, and saw the rich people who were putting their gifts into the treasury.

ܘܚܙܐ ܐܦ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܡܣܟܢܬܐ ܕܐܪܡܝܬ ܫܡܘܢܐ ܬܪܝܢ
wkhz' 'p 'rmlth' khd' msknth' d'rmyth shmwn' thryn
He saw a certain poor widow casting in two small brass coins.

ܘܐܡܪ ܫܪܪܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܗܕܐ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܡܣܟܢܬܐ ܐܪܡܝܬ ܝܬܝܪ ܡܢ ܟܠܢܫ
w'mr shrr' 'mr 'n' lkwn dhd' 'rmlth' msknth' 'rmyth ythyr mn klnsh
He said,
“Truly I tell you, this poor widow put in more than all of them,

ܟܠܗܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܡܢ ܡܐ ܕܝܬܝܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܪܡܝܘ ܒܝܬ ܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܗܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܚܣܝܪܘܬܗ ܟܠ ܕܩܢܝܐ ܗܘܬ ܐܪܡܝܬܗ
klhwn gyr hlyn mn m' dythyr hw' lhwn 'rmyw byth qwrbn' d'lh' hd' dyn mn khsyrwthh kl dqny' hwth 'rmythh
for all these put in gifts for God from their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, put in all that she had to live on.”

ܘܟܕ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܐܢܫܝܢ ܥܠ ܗܝܟܠܐ ܕܒܟܐܦܐ ܫܦܝܪܬܐ ܘܒܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܡܨܒܬ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ
wkd 'mryn hww 'nshyn el hykl' dbk'p' shpyrth' wbqwrbn' mtsbth 'mr lhwn yshwe
As some were talking about the temple and how it was decorated with beautiful stones and gifts, he said,

ܗܠܝܢ ܕܚܙܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܕܒܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܬܫܬܒܩ ܟܐܦ ܥܠ ܟܐܦ ܕܠܐ ܬܣܬܬܪ
hlyn dkhzyn 'nthwn n'thwn ywmth' dbhwn l' thshthbq k'p el k'p dl' thsththr
“As for these things which you see, the days will come, in which there will not be left here one stone on another that will not be thrown down.”

ܘܡܫܐܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܐܡܬܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܘܡܢܐ ܗܝ ܐܬܐ ܡܐ ܕܩܪܝܒܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܢܗܘܝܢ
wmsh'lyn hww lh w'mryn mlpn' 'mthy hlyn nhwyn wmn' hy 'th' m' dqrybn hlyn dnhwyn
They asked him, “Teacher, so when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are about to happen?”

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܚܙܘ ܠܡܐ ܬܛܥܘܢ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܓܝܪ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܒܫܡܝ ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܙܒܢܐ ܩܪܒ ܠܐ ܕܝܢ ܬܐܙܠܘܢ ܒܬܪܗܘܢ
hw dyn 'mr lhwn khzw lm' thTewn sgy'' gyr n'thwn bshmy wn'mrwn d'n' 'n' mshykh' wzbn' qrb l' dyn th'zlwn bthrhwn
He said,
“Watch out that you don’t get led astray, for many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The time is at hand.’ Therefore don’t follow them.

ܘܡܐ ܕܫܡܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܩܪܒܐ ܘܫܓܘܫܝܐ ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠܘܢ ܥܬܝܕܢ ܐܢܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܠܡܗܘܐ ܐܠܐ ܠܐ ܥܕܟܝܠ ܡܛܬ ܚܪܬܐ
wm' dshmeyn 'nthwn qrb' wshgwshy' l' thdkhlwn ethydn 'nyn gyr hlyn lwqdm lmhw' 'l' l' edkyl mTth khrth'
When you hear of wars and disturbances, don’t be terrified, for these things must happen first, but the end won’t come immediately.”

ܢܩܘܡ ܓܝܪ ܥܡܐ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܘܡܠܟܘ ܥܠ ܡܠܟܘ
nqwm gyr em' el em' wmlkw el mlkw
Then he said to them,
“Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

ܘܙܘܥܐ ܪܘܪܒܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܒܕܘܟܐ ܕܘܟܐ ܘܟܦܢܐ ܘܡܘܬܢܐ ܘܢܗܘܝܢ ܕܚܠܬܐ ܘܣܘܪܕܐ ܘܐܬܘܬܐ ܪܘܪܒܬܐ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܢܬܚܙܝܢ ܘܣܬܘܐ ܪܘܪܒܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ
wzwe' rwrb' nhwwn bdwk' dwk' wkpn' wmwthn' wnhwyn dkhlth' wswrd' w'thwth' rwrbth' mn shmy' nthkhzyn wsthw' rwrb' nhwwn
There will be great earthquakes, famines, and plagues in various places. There will be terrors and great signs from heaven.

ܩܕܡ ܕܝܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܢܪܡܘܢ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܐܝܕܝܐ ܘܢܪܕܦܘܢܟܘܢ ܘܢܫܠܡܘܢܟܘܢ ܠܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܘܠܒܝܬ ܐܣܝܪܐ ܘܢܩܪܒܘܢܟܘܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܗܓܡܘܢܐ ܡܛܠ ܫܡܝ
qdm dyn hlyn klhyn nrmwn elykwn 'ydy' wnrdpwnkwn wnshlmwnkwn lknwshth' wlbyth 'syr' wnqrbwnkwn qdm mlk' whgmwn' mTl shmy
But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you up to synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name’s sake.

ܗܘܝܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܠܣܗܕܘܬܐ
hwy' lkwn dyn lshdwth'
It will turn out as a testimony for you.

ܣܝܡܘ ܕܝܢ ܒܠܒܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܗܘܘܢ ܡܬܝܠܦܝܢ ܠܡܦܩ ܪܘܚܐ
symw dyn blbkwn dl' thhwwn mthylpyn lmpq rwkh'
Settle it therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand how to answer,

ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܬܠ ܠܟܘܢ ܦܘܡܐ ܘܚܟܡܬܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܫܟܚܘܢ ܠܡܩܡ ܠܩܘܒܠܗ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܝܟܘܢ
'n' gyr 'thl lkwn pwm' wkhkmth' 'yd' dl' nshkkhwn lmqm lqwblh klhwn beldbbykwn
for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or to contradict.

ܢܫܠܡܘܢܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܒܗܝܟܘܢ ܘܐܚܝܟܘܢ ܘܐܚܝܢܝܟܘܢ ܘܪܚܡܝܟܘܢ ܘܢܡܝܬܘܢ ܡܢܟܘܢ
nshlmwnkwn dyn 'bhykwn w'khykwn w'khynykwn wrkhmykwn wnmythwn mnkwn
You will be handed over even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. They will cause some of you to be put to death.

ܘܬܗܘܘܢ ܣܢܝܐܝܢ ܡܢ ܟܠ ܐܢܫ ܡܛܠ ܫܡܝ

You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake.

ܘܡܢܬܐ ܡܢ ܪܫܟܘܢ ܠܐ ܬܐܒܕ
wmnth' mn rshkwn l' th'bd
And not a hair of your head will perish.

ܒܡܣܝܒܪܢܘܬܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܬܩܢܘܢ ܢܦܫܟܘܢ
bmsybrnwthkwn dyn thqnwn npshkwn
“By your endurance you will win your lives.

ܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܕܚܕܝܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܚܝܠܐ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܕܥܘ ܕܩܪܒ ܠܗ ܚܘܪܒܗ
m' dyn dkhzythwn l'wrshlm dkhdyryn lh khyl' hydyn dew dqrb lh khwrbh
“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is at hand.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܝܗܘܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܢܥܪܩܘܢ ܠܛܘܪܐ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܓܘܗ ܐܢܘܢ ܢܥܪܩܘܢ ܘܕܒܩܘܪܝܐ ܠܐ ܢܥܠܘܢ ܠܗ
hydyn 'ylyn dbyhwd 'nwn nerqwn lTwr' w'ylyn dbgwh 'nwn nerqwn wdbqwry' l' nelwn lh
Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let those who are in the middle of her depart. Let those who are in the country not enter therein.

ܕܝܘܡܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܬܒܥܬܐ ܕܢܫܠܡ ܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܟܬܝܒ
dywmth' 'nwn hlyn dthbeth' dnshlm kl m' dkthyb
For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

ܘܝ ܕܝܢ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܛܢܢ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܝܢܩܢ ܒܗܢܘܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܘܪܘܓܙܐ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ
wy dyn l'ylyn dbTnn wl'ylyn dmynqn bhnwn ywmth' nhw' gyr 'wltsn' rb' b're' wrwgz' el em' hn'
Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who nurse infants in those days! For there will be great distress in the land, and wrath to this people.

ܘܢܦܠܘܢ ܒܦܘܡܐ ܕܚܪܒܐ ܘܢܫܬܒܘܢ ܠܟܠ ܐܬܪ ܘܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܬܗܘܐ ܡܬܕܝܫܐ ܡܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܫܠܡܘܢ ܙܒܢܐ ܕܥܡܡܐ
wnplwn bpwm' dkhrb' wnshthbwn lkl 'thr w'wrshlm thhw' mthdysh' mn emm' edm' dnshlmwn zbn' demm'
They will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

ܘܢܗܘܝܢ ܐܬܘܬܐ ܒܫܡܫܐ ܘܒܣܗܪܐ ܘܒܟܘܟܒܐ ܘܒܐܪܥܐ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܕܥܡܡܐ ܘܦܘܫܟ ܐܝܕܝܐ ܡܢ ܬܘܗܬܐ ܕܩܠܐ ܕܝܡܐ
wnhwyn 'thwth' bshmsh' wbshr' wbkwkb' wb're' 'wltsn' demm' wpwshk 'ydy' mn thwhth' dql' dym'
There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and on the earth anxiety of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the waves;

ܘܙܘܥܐ ܕܡܦܩ ܢܦܫܬܐ ܕܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܡܢ ܕܚܠܬܐ ܕܡܕܡ ܕܥܬܝܕ ܠܡܐܬܐ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܢܬܬܙܝܥܘܢ ܚܝܠܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ
wzwe' dmpq npshth' dbnynsh' mn dkhlth' dmdm dethyd lm'th' el 're' wnththzyewn khyl' dshmy'
men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world: for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܚܙܘܢܝܗܝ ܠܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܒܥܢܢܐ ܥܡ ܚܝܠܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܘܫܘܒܚܐ ܪܒܐ
whydyn nkhzwnyhy lbrh d'nsh' d'th' benn' em khyl' sgy'' wshwbkh' rb'
Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

ܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܫܪܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܢܗܘܝܢ ܐܬܠܒܒܘ ܘܐܪܝܡܘ ܪܫܝܟܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܩܪܒ ܠܗ ܦܘܪܩܢܟܘܢ
m' dyn dshry hlyn dnhwyn 'thlbbw w'rymw rshykwn mTl dqrb lh pwrqnkwn
But when these things begin to happen, look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܬܠܐ ܚܙܘ ܠܬܬܐ ܘܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܢܐ

He told them a parable.
“See the fig tree, and all the trees.

ܕܡܐ ܕܡܦܪܥܝܢ ܡܚܕܐ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܡܣܬܟܠܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܩܪܒ ܠܗ ܩܝܛܐ
dm' dmpreyn mkhd' mnhwn msthklyn 'nthwn dqrb lh qyT'
When they are already budding, you see it and know by your own selves that the summer is already near.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܐ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܗܘܝܢ ܕܥܘ ܕܩܪܝܒܐ ܗܝ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ
hkn' 'p 'nthwn m' dkhzythwn hlyn dhwyn dew dqryb' hy mlkwth' d'lh'
Even so you also, when you see these things happening, know that God’s Kingdom is near.

ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܥܒܪ ܫܪܒܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ
'myn 'mr 'n' lkwn dl' thebr shrbth' hd' edm' dhlyn klhyn nhwyn
Most certainly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all things are accomplished.

ܫܡܝܐ ܘܐܪܥܐ ܢܥܒܪܘܢ ܘܡܠܝ ܠܐ ܢܥܒܪܢ
shmy' w're' nebrwn wmly l' nebrn
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.

ܐܙܕܗܪܘ ܕܝܢ ܒܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܬܘܡ ܢܐܩܪܘܢ ܠܒܘܬܟܘܢ ܒܐܣܘܛܘܬܐ ܘܒܪܘܝܘܬܐ ܘܒܨܦܬܐ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܘܡܢ ܫܠܝܐ ܢܐܬܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܝܘܡܐ ܗܘ
'zdhrw dyn bnpshkwn dl' mthwm n'qrwn lbwthkwn b'swTwth' wbrwywth' wbtspth' delm' wmn shly' n'th' elykwn ywm' hw
“So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.

ܐܝܟ ܨܦܚܬܐ ܓܝܪ ܢܨܦܚ ܥܠ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܝܬܒܝܢ ܥܠ ܐܦܝܗ ܕܟܠܗ ܐܪܥܐ
'yk tspkhth' gyr ntspkh el klhwn 'ylyn dythbyn el 'pyh dklh 're'
For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth.

ܗܘܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܫܗܪܝܢ ܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܘܡܨܠܝܢ ܕܬܫܘܘܢ ܠܡܥܪܩ ܡܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܥܬܝܕܢ ܠܡܗܘܐ ܘܬܩܘܡܘܢ ܩܕܡ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ
hww hkyl shhryn bklzbn wmtslyn dthshwwn lmerq mn hlyn dethydn lmhw' wthqwmwn qdm brh d'nsh'
Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

ܒܐܝܡܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܠܦ ܗܘܐ ܒܗܝܟܠܐ ܘܒܠܠܝܐ ܢܦܩ ܗܘܐ ܒܐܬ ܒܛܘܪܐ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܙܝܬܐ
b'ymm' dyn mlp hw' bhykl' wblly' npq hw' b'th bTwr' dmthqr' dbyth zyth'
Every day Jesus was teaching in the temple, and every night he would go out and spend the night on the mountain that is called Olivet.

ܘܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܡܩܕܡܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܘܬܗ ܠܗܝܟܠܐ ܠܡܫܡܥ ܡܠܬܗ

All the people came early in the morning to him in the temple to hear him.
