ܚܪ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܥܬܝܪܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܪܡܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܝܬ ܓܙܐ ܩܘܪܒܢܝܗܘܢ
qwrbnyhwn gz' byth hww drmyn 'ylyn bethyr' yshwe dyn khr
He looked up, and saw the rich people who were putting their gifts into the treasury.

ܘܚܙܐ ܐܦ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܡܣܟܢܬܐ ܕܐܪܡܝܬ ܫܡܘܢܐ ܬܪܝܢ
thryn shmwn' d'rmyth msknth' khd' 'rmlth' 'p wkhz'
He saw a certain poor widow casting in two small brass coins.

ܘܐܡܪ ܫܪܪܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܗܕܐ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܡܣܟܢܬܐ ܐܪܡܝܬ ܝܬܝܪ ܡܢ ܟܠܢܫ
klnsh mn ythyr 'rmyth msknth' 'rmlth' dhd' lkwn 'n' 'mr shrr' w'mr
He said,
“Truly I tell you, this poor widow put in more than all of them,

ܟܠܗܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܡܢ ܡܐ ܕܝܬܝܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܪܡܝܘ ܒܝܬ ܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܗܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܚܣܝܪܘܬܗ ܟܠ ܕܩܢܝܐ ܗܘܬ ܐܪܡܝܬܗ
'rmythh hwth dqny' kl khsyrwthh mn dyn hd' d'lh' qwrbn' byth 'rmyw lhwn hw' dythyr m' mn hlyn gyr klhwn
for all these put in gifts for God from their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, put in all that she had to live on.”

ܘܟܕ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܐܢܫܝܢ ܥܠ ܗܝܟܠܐ ܕܒܟܐܦܐ ܫܦܝܪܬܐ ܘܒܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܡܨܒܬ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ
yshwe lhwn 'mr mtsbth wbqwrbn' shpyrth' dbk'p' hykl' el 'nshyn hww 'mryn wkd
As some were talking about the temple and how it was decorated with beautiful stones and gifts, he said,

ܗܠܝܢ ܕܚܙܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܕܒܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܬܫܬܒܩ ܟܐܦ ܥܠ ܟܐܦ ܕܠܐ ܬܣܬܬܪ
thsththr dl' k'p el k'p thshthbq l' dbhwn ywmth' n'thwn 'nthwn dkhzyn hlyn
“As for these things which you see, the days will come, in which there will not be left here one stone on another that will not be thrown down.”

ܘܡܫܐܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܐܡܬܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܘܡܢܐ ܗܝ ܐܬܐ ܡܐ ܕܩܪܝܒܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܢܗܘܝܢ
dnhwyn hlyn dqrybn m' 'th' hy wmn' nhwyn hlyn 'mthy mlpn' w'mryn lh hww wmsh'lyn
They asked him, “Teacher, so when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are about to happen?”

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܚܙܘ ܠܡܐ ܬܛܥܘܢ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܓܝܪ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܒܫܡܝ ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܙܒܢܐ ܩܪܒ ܠܐ ܕܝܢ ܬܐܙܠܘܢ ܒܬܪܗܘܢ
bthrhwn th'zlwn dyn l' qrb wzbn' mshykh' 'n' d'n' wn'mrwn bshmy n'thwn gyr sgy'' thTewn lm' khzw lhwn 'mr dyn hw
He said,
“Watch out that you don’t get led astray, for many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The time is at hand.’ Therefore don’t follow them.

ܘܡܐ ܕܫܡܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܩܪܒܐ ܘܫܓܘܫܝܐ ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠܘܢ ܥܬܝܕܢ ܐܢܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܠܡܗܘܐ ܐܠܐ ܠܐ ܥܕܟܝܠ ܡܛܬ ܚܪܬܐ
khrth' mTth edkyl l' 'l' lmhw' lwqdm hlyn gyr 'nyn ethydn thdkhlwn l' wshgwshy' qrb' 'nthwn dshmeyn wm'
When you hear of wars and disturbances, don’t be terrified, for these things must happen first, but the end won’t come immediately.”

ܢܩܘܡ ܓܝܪ ܥܡܐ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܘܡܠܟܘ ܥܠ ܡܠܟܘ
mlkw el wmlkw em' el em' gyr nqwm
Then he said to them,
“Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

ܘܙܘܥܐ ܪܘܪܒܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܒܕܘܟܐ ܕܘܟܐ ܘܟܦܢܐ ܘܡܘܬܢܐ ܘܢܗܘܝܢ ܕܚܠܬܐ ܘܣܘܪܕܐ ܘܐܬܘܬܐ ܪܘܪܒܬܐ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܢܬܚܙܝܢ ܘܣܬܘܐ ܪܘܪܒܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ
nhwwn rwrb' wsthw' nthkhzyn shmy' mn rwrbth' w'thwth' wswrd' dkhlth' wnhwyn wmwthn' wkpn' dwk' bdwk' nhwwn rwrb' wzwe'
There will be great earthquakes, famines, and plagues in various places. There will be terrors and great signs from heaven.

ܩܕܡ ܕܝܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܢܪܡܘܢ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܐܝܕܝܐ ܘܢܪܕܦܘܢܟܘܢ ܘܢܫܠܡܘܢܟܘܢ ܠܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܘܠܒܝܬ ܐܣܝܪܐ ܘܢܩܪܒܘܢܟܘܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܗܓܡܘܢܐ ܡܛܠ ܫܡܝ
shmy mTl whgmwn' mlk' qdm wnqrbwnkwn 'syr' wlbyth lknwshth' wnshlmwnkwn wnrdpwnkwn 'ydy' elykwn nrmwn klhyn hlyn dyn qdm
But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you up to synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name’s sake.

ܣܝܡܘ ܕܝܢ ܒܠܒܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܗܘܘܢ ܡܬܝܠܦܝܢ ܠܡܦܩ ܪܘܚܐ
rwkh' lmpq mthylpyn thhwwn dl' blbkwn dyn symw
Settle it therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand how to answer,

ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܬܠ ܠܟܘܢ ܦܘܡܐ ܘܚܟܡܬܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܫܟܚܘܢ ܠܡܩܡ ܠܩܘܒܠܗ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܝܟܘܢ
beldbbykwn klhwn lqwblh lmqm nshkkhwn dl' 'yd' wkhkmth' pwm' lkwn 'thl gyr 'n'
for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or to contradict.

ܢܫܠܡܘܢܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܒܗܝܟܘܢ ܘܐܚܝܟܘܢ ܘܐܚܝܢܝܟܘܢ ܘܪܚܡܝܟܘܢ ܘܢܡܝܬܘܢ ܡܢܟܘܢ
mnkwn wnmythwn wrkhmykwn w'khynykwn w'khykwn 'bhykwn dyn nshlmwnkwn
You will be handed over even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. They will cause some of you to be put to death.

ܘܬܗܘܘܢ ܣܢܝܐܝܢ ܡܢ ܟܠ ܐܢܫ ܡܛܠ ܫܡܝ
shmy mTl 'nsh kl mn sny'yn wthhwwn
You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake.

ܒܡܣܝܒܪܢܘܬܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܬܩܢܘܢ ܢܦܫܟܘܢ
npshkwn thqnwn dyn bmsybrnwthkwn
“By your endurance you will win your lives.

ܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܕܚܕܝܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܚܝܠܐ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܕܥܘ ܕܩܪܒ ܠܗ ܚܘܪܒܗ
khwrbh lh dqrb dew hydyn khyl' lh dkhdyryn l'wrshlm dkhzythwn dyn m'
“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is at hand.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܝܗܘܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܢܥܪܩܘܢ ܠܛܘܪܐ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܓܘܗ ܐܢܘܢ ܢܥܪܩܘܢ ܘܕܒܩܘܪܝܐ ܠܐ ܢܥܠܘܢ ܠܗ
lh nelwn l' wdbqwry' nerqwn 'nwn dbgwh w'ylyn lTwr' nerqwn 'nwn dbyhwd 'ylyn hydyn
Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let those who are in the middle of her depart. Let those who are in the country not enter therein.

ܕܝܘܡܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܬܒܥܬܐ ܕܢܫܠܡ ܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܟܬܝܒ
dkthyb m' kl dnshlm dthbeth' hlyn 'nwn dywmth'
For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

ܘܝ ܕܝܢ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܛܢܢ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܝܢܩܢ ܒܗܢܘܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܘܪܘܓܙܐ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ
hn' em' el wrwgz' b're' rb' 'wltsn' gyr nhw' ywmth' bhnwn dmynqn wl'ylyn dbTnn l'ylyn dyn wy
Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who nurse infants in those days! For there will be great distress in the land, and wrath to this people.

ܘܢܦܠܘܢ ܒܦܘܡܐ ܕܚܪܒܐ ܘܢܫܬܒܘܢ ܠܟܠ ܐܬܪ ܘܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܬܗܘܐ ܡܬܕܝܫܐ ܡܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܫܠܡܘܢ ܙܒܢܐ ܕܥܡܡܐ
demm' zbn' dnshlmwn edm' emm' mn mthdysh' thhw' w'wrshlm 'thr lkl wnshthbwn dkhrb' bpwm' wnplwn
They will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

ܘܢܗܘܝܢ ܐܬܘܬܐ ܒܫܡܫܐ ܘܒܣܗܪܐ ܘܒܟܘܟܒܐ ܘܒܐܪܥܐ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܕܥܡܡܐ ܘܦܘܫܟ ܐܝܕܝܐ ܡܢ ܬܘܗܬܐ ܕܩܠܐ ܕܝܡܐ
dym' dql' thwhth' mn 'ydy' wpwshk demm' 'wltsn' wb're' wbkwkb' wbshr' bshmsh' 'thwth' wnhwyn
There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and on the earth anxiety of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the waves;

ܘܙܘܥܐ ܕܡܦܩ ܢܦܫܬܐ ܕܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܡܢ ܕܚܠܬܐ ܕܡܕܡ ܕܥܬܝܕ ܠܡܐܬܐ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܢܬܬܙܝܥܘܢ ܚܝܠܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ
dshmy' khyl' wnththzyewn 're' el lm'th' dethyd dmdm dkhlth' mn dbnynsh' npshth' dmpq wzwe'
men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world: for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܚܙܘܢܝܗܝ ܠܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܒܥܢܢܐ ܥܡ ܚܝܠܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܘܫܘܒܚܐ ܪܒܐ
rb' wshwbkh' sgy'' khyl' em benn' d'th' d'nsh' lbrh nkhzwnyhy whydyn
Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

ܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܫܪܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܢܗܘܝܢ ܐܬܠܒܒܘ ܘܐܪܝܡܘ ܪܫܝܟܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܩܪܒ ܠܗ ܦܘܪܩܢܟܘܢ
pwrqnkwn lh dqrb mTl rshykwn w'rymw 'thlbbw dnhwyn hlyn dshry dyn m'
But when these things begin to happen, look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܬܠܐ ܚܙܘ ܠܬܬܐ ܘܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܢܐ

He told them a parable.
“See the fig tree, and all the trees.

ܕܡܐ ܕܡܦܪܥܝܢ ܡܚܕܐ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܡܣܬܟܠܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܩܪܒ ܠܗ ܩܝܛܐ
qyT' lh dqrb 'nthwn msthklyn mnhwn mkhd' dmpreyn dm'
When they are already budding, you see it and know by your own selves that the summer is already near.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܐ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܗܘܝܢ ܕܥܘ ܕܩܪܝܒܐ ܗܝ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ
d'lh' mlkwth' hy dqryb' dew dhwyn hlyn dkhzythwn m' 'nthwn 'p hkn'
Even so you also, when you see these things happening, know that God’s Kingdom is near.

ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܥܒܪ ܫܪܒܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ
nhwyn klhyn dhlyn edm' hd' shrbth' thebr dl' lkwn 'n' 'mr 'myn
Most certainly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all things are accomplished.

ܫܡܝܐ ܘܐܪܥܐ ܢܥܒܪܘܢ ܘܡܠܝ ܠܐ ܢܥܒܪܢ
nebrn l' wmly nebrwn w're' shmy'
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.

ܐܙܕܗܪܘ ܕܝܢ ܒܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܬܘܡ ܢܐܩܪܘܢ ܠܒܘܬܟܘܢ ܒܐܣܘܛܘܬܐ ܘܒܪܘܝܘܬܐ ܘܒܨܦܬܐ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܘܡܢ ܫܠܝܐ ܢܐܬܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܝܘܡܐ ܗܘ
hw ywm' elykwn n'th' shly' wmn delm' wbtspth' wbrwywth' b'swTwth' lbwthkwn n'qrwn mthwm dl' bnpshkwn dyn 'zdhrw
“So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.

ܐܝܟ ܨܦܚܬܐ ܓܝܪ ܢܨܦܚ ܥܠ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܝܬܒܝܢ ܥܠ ܐܦܝܗ ܕܟܠܗ ܐܪܥܐ
're' dklh 'pyh el dythbyn 'ylyn klhwn el ntspkh gyr tspkhth' 'yk
For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth.

ܗܘܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܫܗܪܝܢ ܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܘܡܨܠܝܢ ܕܬܫܘܘܢ ܠܡܥܪܩ ܡܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܥܬܝܕܢ ܠܡܗܘܐ ܘܬܩܘܡܘܢ ܩܕܡ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ
d'nsh' brh qdm wthqwmwn lmhw' dethydn hlyn mn lmerq dthshwwn wmtslyn bklzbn shhryn hkyl hww
Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

ܒܐܝܡܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܠܦ ܗܘܐ ܒܗܝܟܠܐ ܘܒܠܠܝܐ ܢܦܩ ܗܘܐ ܒܐܬ ܒܛܘܪܐ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܙܝܬܐ
zyth' dbyth dmthqr' bTwr' b'th hw' npq wblly' bhykl' hw' mlp dyn b'ymm'
Every day Jesus was teaching in the temple, and every night he would go out and spend the night on the mountain that is called Olivet.
