ܘܐܡܪ ܗܘܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܡܟܫܘܠܐ ܘܝ ܕܝܢ ܠܗܘ ܕܒܐܝܕܗ ܢܐܬܘܢ
n'thwn db'ydh lhw dyn wy mkshwl' n'thwn dl' mshkkh' l' lthlmydwhy yshwe hw' w'mr
He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!

ܦܩܚ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܐܠܘ ܪܚܝܐ ܕܚܡܪܐ ܬܠܝܐ ܒܨܘܪܗ ܘܫܕܐ ܒܝܡܐ ܐܘ ܕܢܟܫܠ ܠܚܕ ܡܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܙܥܘܪܐ
zewr' hlyn mn lkhd dnkshl 'w bym' wshd' btswrh thly' dkhmr' rkhy' 'lw lh hw' pqkh
It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

ܐܙܕܗܪܘ ܒܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܐܢ ܢܚܛܐ ܐܚܘܟ ܟܐܝ ܒܗ ܘܐܢ ܬܐܒ ܫܒܘܩ ܠܗ

Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him.

ܘܐܢ ܫܒܥ ܙܒܢܝܢ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܢܣܟܠ ܒܟ ܘܫܒܥ ܙܒܢܝܢ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܢܬܦܢܐ ܠܘܬܟ ܘܢܐܡܪ ܕܬܐܒ ܐܢܐ ܫܒܘܩ ܠܗ
lh shbwq 'n' dth'b wn'mr lwthk nthpn' bywm' zbnyn wshbe bk nskl bywm' zbnyn shbe w'n
If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”

ܘܐܡܪܘ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܠܡܪܢ ܐܘܣܦ ܠܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܢ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܦܪܕܬܐ ܕܚܪܕܠܐ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܠܬܘܬܐ ܗܢܐ ܕܐܬܥܩܪ ܘܐܬܢܨܒ ܒܝܡܐ ܘܡܫܬܡܥ ܗܘܐ ܠܟܘܢ

The Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

ܡܢܘ ܕܝܢ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܕܒܪ ܦܕܢܐ ܐܘ ܕܪܥܐ ܥܢܐ ܘܐܢ ܢܐܬܐ ܡܢ ܚܩܠܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܚܕܐ ܥܒܪ ܐܣܬܡܟ
'sthmk ebr mkhd' lh 'mr khql' mn n'th' w'n en' dre' 'w pdn' ddbr ebd' lh d'yth mnkwn dyn mnw
But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say, when he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down at the table,’

ܐܠܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܛܝܒ ܠܝ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܚܫܡ ܘܐܣܘܪ ܚܨܝܟ ܫܡܫܝܢܝ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܐܠܥܣ ܘܐܫܬܐ ܘܒܬܪܟܢ ܐܦ ܐܢܬ ܬܠܥܣ ܘܬܫܬܐ
wthshth' thles 'nth 'p wbthrkn w'shth' d'les edm' shmshyny khtsyk w'swr d'khshm mdm ly Tyb lh 'mr 'l'
and will not rather tell him, ‘Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me, while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink’?

ܠܡܐ ܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܡܩܒܠ ܕܗܘ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܥܒܕ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܬܦܩܕ ܠܗ ܠܐ ܣܒܪ ܐܢܐ
'n' sbr l' lh d'thpqd mdm debd ebd' dhw mqbl Tybwthh lm'
Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܐ ܕܥܒܕܬܘܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܦܩܝܕܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܡܪܘ ܕܥܒܕܐ ܚܢܢ ܒܛܝܠܐ ܕܡܕܡ ܕܚܝܒܝܢ ܗܘܝܢ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܥܒܕܢ
ebdn lmebd hwyn dkhybyn dmdm bTyl' khnn debd' 'mrw lkwn dpqydn 'ylyn klhyn debdthwn m' 'nthwn 'p hkn'
Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’”

ܘܗܘܐ ܕܟܕ ܐܙܠ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܥܒܪ ܗܘܐ ܒܝܬ ܫܡܪܝܐ ܠܓܠܝܠܐ

As he was on his way to Jerusalem, he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee.

ܘܟܕ ܩܪܝܒ ܠܡܥܠ ܠܩܪܝܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܐܪܥܘܗܝ ܥܣܪܐ ܐܢܫܝܢ ܓܪܒܐ ܘܩܡܘ ܡܢ ܪܘܚܩܐ
rwkhq' mn wqmw grb' 'nshyn esr' 'rewhy khd' lqryth' lmel qryb wkd
As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were lepers met him, who stood at a distance.

ܘܐܪܝܡܘ ܩܠܗܘܢ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܪܒܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܬܪܚܡ ܥܠܝܢ
elyn 'thrkhm yshwe rbn w'mryn qlhwn w'rymw
They lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

ܘܟܕ ܚܙܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܙܠܘ ܚܘܘ ܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܠܟܗܢܐ ܘܟܕ ܐܙܠܝܢ ܐܬܕܟܝܘ
'thdkyw 'zlyn wkd lkhn' npshkwn khww zlw lhwn 'mr 'nwn khz' wkd
When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were cleansed.

ܚܕ ܕܝܢ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܟܕ ܚܙܐ ܕܐܬܕܟܝ ܗܦܟ ܠܗ ܘܒܩܠܐ ܪܡܐ ܡܫܒܚ ܗܘܐ ܠܐܠܗܐ
l'lh' hw' mshbkh rm' wbql' lh hpk d'thdky khz' kd mnhwn dyn khd
One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.

ܘܢܦܠ ܥܠ ܐܦܘܗܝ ܩܕܡ ܪܓܠܘܗܝ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܟܕ ܡܘܕܐ ܠܗ ܘܗܘ ܗܢܐ ܫܡܪܝܐ ܗܘܐ
hw' shmry' hn' whw lh mwd' kd dyshwe rglwhy qdm 'pwhy el wnpl
He fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan.

ܥܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܥܣܪܐ ܗܘܝܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܐܬܕܟܝܘ ܐܝܟܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܬܫܥܐ
thshe' 'nwn 'yk' d'thdkyw hlyn hwyn esr' hw' l' w'mr yshwe dyn en'
Jesus answered, “Weren’t the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

ܠܡܐ ܦܪܫܘ ܕܢܐܬܘܢ ܢܬܠܘܢ ܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܐܠܐ ܗܢܐ ܕܡܢ ܥܡܐ ܗܘ ܢܘܟܪܝܐ
nwkry' hw em' dmn hn' 'l' l'lh' thshbwkhth' nthlwn dn'thwn prshw lm'
Were there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this stranger?”

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܩܘܡ ܙܠ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܟ ܐܚܝܬܟ
'khythk hymnwthk zl qwm lh w'mr
Then he said to him, “Get up, and go your way. Your faith has healed you.”

ܘܟܕ ܫܐܠܘܗܝ ܠܝܫܘܥ ܡܢ ܦܪܝܫܐ ܐܡܬܝ ܐܬܝܐ ܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܥܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܐܬܝܐ ܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܒܢܛܘܪܬܐ

Being asked by the Pharisees when God’s Kingdom would come, he answered them, “God’s Kingdom doesn’t come with observation;

ܘܠܐ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܗܐ ܗܪܟܐ ܗܝ ܘܗܐ ܗܪ ܬܡܢ ܗܝ ܗܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܓܘ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܗܝ
hy mnkwn lgw d'lh' mlkwthh gyr h' hy thmn hr wh' hy hrk' h' 'mryn wl'
neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܕܬܬܪܓܪܓܘܢ ܠܡܚܙܐ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܕܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܚܙܘܢ
thkhzwn wl' d'nsh' dbrh ywmth' mn khd lmkhz' dththrgrgwn ywmth' n'thwn lthlmydwhy w'mr
He said to the disciples, “The days will come, when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

ܘܐܢ ܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܐ ܗܪܟܐ ܗܘ ܘܗܐ ܗܪ ܬܡܢ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܬܐܙܠܘܢ
th'zlwn l' hw thmn hr wh' hw hrk' h' lkwn n'mrwn w'n
They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away, nor follow after them,

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܒܪܩܐ ܒܪܩ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܟܠܗ ܬܚܝܬ ܫܡܝܐ ܡܢܗܪ ܗܟܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܒܝܘܡܗ
bywmh d'nsh' brh nhw' hkn' mnhr shmy' thkhyth wklh shmy' mn brq dbrq' gyr 'ykn'
for as the lightning, when it flashes out of the one part under the sky, shines to the other part under the sky; so will the Son of Man be in his day.

ܠܘܩܕܡ ܕܝܢ ܥܬܝܕ ܗܘ ܕܢܚܫ ܣܓܝܐܬܐ ܘܢܣܬܠܐ ܡܢ ܫܪܒܬܐ ܗܕܐ
hd' shrbth' mn wnsthl' sgy'th' dnkhsh hw ethyd dyn lwqdm
But first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.

ܘܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܗܘܐ ܒܝܘܡܬܗ ܕܢܘܚ ܗܟܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܝܘܡܬܗ ܕܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ
d'nsh' dbrh bywmthh nhw' hkn' dnwkh bywmthh dhw' w'ykn'
As it was in the days of Noah, even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man.

ܕܐܟܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܘܫܬܝܢ ܘܢܣܒܝܢ ܢܫܐ ܘܝܗܒܝܢ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܐ ܕܥܠ ܢܘܚ ܠܟܘܝܠܐ ܘܐܬܐ ܛܘܦܢܐ ܘܐܘܒܕ ܠܟܠ ܐܢܫ
'nsh lkl w'wbd Twpn' w'th' lkwyl' nwkh del lywm' edm' lgbr' wyhbyn nsh' wnsbyn wshthyn hww d'klyn
They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

ܘܐܝܟܢܐ ܬܘܒ ܕܗܘܐ ܒܝܘܡܬܗ ܕܠܘܛ ܕܐܟܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܘܫܬܝܢ ܘܙܒܢܝܢ ܘܡܙܒܢܝܢ ܘܢܨܒܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܘܒܢܝܢ
wbnyn hww wntsbyn wmzbnyn wzbnyn wshthyn hww d'klyn dlwT bywmthh dhw' thwb w'ykn'
Likewise, even as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;

ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܢܦܩ ܠܘܛ ܡܢ ܣܕܘܡ ܐܡܛܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܢܘܪܐ ܘܟܒܪܝܬܐ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܐܘܒܕ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ
lklhwn w'wbd shmy' mn wkbryth' nwr' mry' 'mTr sdwm mn lwT dnpq dyn bywm'
but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from the sky, and destroyed them all.

ܗܟܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܡܬܓܠܐ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ
d'nsh' brh dmthgl' bywm' nhw' hkn'
It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.

ܒܗܘ ܝܘܡܐ ܡܢ ܕܒܐܓܪܐ ܗܘ ܘܡܐܢܘܗܝ ܒܒܝܬܐ ܠܐ ܢܚܘܬ ܕܢܫܩܘܠ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܡܢ ܕܒܚܩܠܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܢܬܗܦܟ ܠܒܣܬܪܗ
lbsthrh nthhpk l' hw dbkhql' wmn 'nwn dnshqwl nkhwth l' bbyth' wm'nwhy hw db'gr' mn ywm' bhw
In that day, he who will be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.

ܐܬܕܟܪܘ ܠܐܢܬܬܗ ܕܠܘܛ

Remember Lot’s wife!

ܡܢ ܕܨܒܐ ܕܢܚܐ ܢܦܫܗ ܢܘܒܕܝܗ ܘܡܢ ܕܢܘܒܕ ܢܦܫܗ ܢܚܝܗ
nkhyh npshh dnwbd wmn nwbdyh npshh dnkh' dtsb' mn
Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.

ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܒܗܘ ܠܠܝܐ ܬܪܝܢ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܒܚܕܐ ܥܪܣܐ ܚܕ ܢܬܕܒܪ ܘܐܚܪܢܐ ܢܫܬܒܩ
nshthbq w'khrn' nthdbr khd ers' bkhd' nhwwn thryn lly' dbhw lkwn 'n' 'mr
I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. The one will be taken, and the other will be left.

ܬܪܬܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܛܚܢܢ ܐܟܚܕܐ ܚܕܐ ܬܬܕܒܪ ܘܐܚܪܬܐ ܬܫܬܒܩ
thshthbq w'khrth' ththdbr khd' 'kkhd' Tkhnn nhwyn thrthyn
There will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken, and the other will be left.”

ܬܪܝܢ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܒܚܩܠܐ ܚܕ ܢܬܕܒܪ ܘܐܚܪܢܐ ܢܫܬܒܩ

ܥܢܘ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܠܐܝܟܐ ܡܪܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܦܓܪܐ ܬܡܢ ܢܬܟܢܫܘܢ ܢܫܪܐ
nshr' nthknshwn thmn dpgr' 'yk' lhwn 'mr mrn l'yk' lh w'mryn enw
They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there will the vultures also be gathered together.”
