ܘܟܕ ܐܬܟܢܫܘ ܪܒܘܬܐ ܕܟܢܫܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܢܕܝܫܘܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ ܫܪܝ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܡܐܡܪ ܠܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܐܙܕܗܪܘ ܒܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܚܡܝܪܐ ܕܦܪܝܫܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܣܒ ܒܐܦܐ

Meanwhile, when a multitude of many thousands had gathered together, so much so that they trampled on each other, he began to tell his disciples first of all,
“Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

ܠܝܬ ܕܝܢ ܡܕܡ ܕܟܣܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܬܓܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܕܡܛܫܝ ܕܠܐ ܢܬܝܕܥ

But there is nothing covered up, that will not be revealed, nor hidden, that will not be known.

ܟܠ ܓܝܪ ܕܒܚܫܘܟܐ ܐܡܪܬܘܢ ܒܢܗܝܪܐ ܢܫܬܡܥ ܘܡܕܡ ܕܒܬܘܢܐ ܒܐܕܢܐ ܠܚܫܬܘܢ ܥܠ ܐܓܪܐ ܢܬܟܪܙ
nthkrz 'gr' el lkhshthwn b'dn' dbthwn' wmdm nshthme bnhyr' 'mrthwn dbkhshwk' gyr kl
Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. What you have spoken in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.

ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܠܪܚܡܝ ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܩܛܠܝܢ ܦܓܪܐ ܘܡܢ ܒܬܪܟܢ ܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܕܡ ܝܬܝܪ ܠܡܥܒܕ

“I tell you, my friends, don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

ܐܚܘܝܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܡܢ ܬܕܚܠܘܢ ܡܢ ܗܘ ܕܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܕܩܛܠ ܫܠܝܛ ܠܡܪܡܝܘ ܒܓܗܢܐ ܐܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܗܢܐ ܕܚܠܘ
dkhlw hn' dmn lkwn 'n' 'mr 'yn bghn' lmrmyw shlyT dqTl bthr dmn hw mn thdkhlwn mn mn dyn 'khwykwn
But I will warn you whom you should fear. Fear him, who after he has killed, has power to cast into Gehenna.
Yes, I tell you, fear him.

ܠܐ ܚܡܫ ܨܦܪܝܢ ܡܙܕܒܢܢ ܒܬܪܝܢ ܐܣܪܝܢ ܘܚܕܐ ܡܢܗܝܢ ܠܐ ܛܥܝܐ ܩܕܡ ܐܠܗܐ
'lh' qdm Tey' l' mnhyn wkhd' 'sryn bthryn mzdbnn tspryn khmsh l'
“Aren’t five sparrows sold for two assaria coins? Not one of them is forgotten by God.

ܕܝܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܦ ܡܢܐ ܕܣܥܪܐ ܕܪܫܟܘܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܡܢܝܢ ܐܢܝܢ ܠܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܬܕܚܠܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܨܦܪܐ ܡܝܬܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn mythryn dtspr' swg'' dmn thdkhlwn hkyl l' 'nyn mnyn klhyn drshkwn dser' mn' 'p dyn dylkwn
But the very hairs of your head are all counted. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.

ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܟܠ ܕܢܘܕܐ ܒܝ ܩܕܡ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܐܦ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܢܘܕܐ ܒܗ ܩܕܡ ܡܠܐܟܘܗܝ ܕܐܠܗܐ

“I tell you, everyone who confesses me before men, him will the Son of Man also confess before the angels of God;

ܐܝܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܟܦܪ ܒܝ ܩܕܡ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܢܬܟܦܪ ܒܗ ܩܕܡ ܡܠܐܟܘܗܝ ܕܐܠܗܐ
d'lh' ml'kwhy qdm bh nthkpr bnynsh' qdm by dkpr dyn 'yn'
but he who denies me in the presence of men will be denied in the presence of the angels of God.

ܘܟܠ ܕܢܐܡܪ ܡܠܬܐ ܥܠ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܢܫܬܒܩ ܠܗ ܡܢ ܕܥܠ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܢܓܕܦ ܠܐ ܢܫܬܒܩ ܠܗ

Everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but those who blaspheme against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

ܡܐ ܕܡܩܪܒܝܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܠܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܩܕܡ ܪܫܐ ܘܫܠܝܛܢܐ ܠܐ ܬܐܨܦܘܢ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܬܦܩܘܢ ܪܘܚܐ ܐܘ ܡܢܐ ܬܐܡܪܘܢ
th'mrwn mn' 'w rwkh' thpqwn 'ykn' th'tspwn l' wshlyTn' rsh' qdm lknwshth' dyn lkwn dmqrbyn m'
When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, don’t be anxious how or what you will answer, or what you will say;

ܪܘܚܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܢܠܦܟܘܢ ܒܗܝ ܫܥܬܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܘܠܐ ܕܬܐܡܪܘܢ
dth'mrwn dwl' mdm sheth' bhy nlpkwn dqwdsh' gyr rwkh'
for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that same hour what you must say.”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܕܝܢ ܐܢܫ ܡܢ ܗܘ ܟܢܫܐ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܐܚܝ ܦܠܓ ܥܡܝ ܝܪܬܘܬܐ

One of the multitude said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”

ܝܫܘܥ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܓܒܪܐ ܡܢܘ ܐܩܝܡܢܝ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܕܝܢܐ ܘܡܦܠܓܢܐ
wmplgn' dyn' elykwn 'qymny mnw gbr' lh 'mr dyn yshwe
But he said to him,
“Man, who made me a judge or an arbitrator over you?”

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܐܙܕܗܪܘ ܡܢ ܟܠܗ ܝܥܢܘܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܝܬܝܪܘܬܐ ܕܢܟܣܐ ܐܝܬ ܚܝܐ
khy' 'yth dnks' bythyrwth' hw' dl' mTl yenwth' klh mn 'zdhrw lthlmydwhy w'mr
He said to them,
“Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܡܬܠܐ ܠܘܬܗܘܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܥܬܝܪܐ ܐܥܠܬ ܠܗ ܐܪܥܗ ܥܠܠܬܐ ܣܓܝܐܬܐ
sgy'th' ellth' 'reh lh 'elth ethyr' khd gbr' lwthhwn mthl' w'mr
He spoke a parable to them, saying,
“The ground of a certain rich man produced abundantly.

ܘܡܬܚܫܒ ܗܘܐ ܒܢܦܫܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܢܐ ܐܥܒܕ ܕܠܝܬ ܠܝ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܐܚܡܘܠ ܥܠܠܬܝ
ellthy d'khmwl 'yk' ly dlyth 'ebd mn' w'mr bnpshh hw' wmthkhshb
He reasoned within himself, saying, ‘What will I do, because I don’t have room to store my crops?’

ܘܐܡܪ ܗܕܐ ܐܥܒܕ ܐܣܬܘܪ ܒܝܬ ܩܦܣܝ ܘܐܒܢܐ ܘܐܘܪܒ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܐܚܡܘܠ ܬܡܢ ܟܠܗ ܥܒܘܪܝ ܘܛܒܬܝ
wTbthy ebwry klh thmn w'khmwl 'nwn w'wrb w'bn' qpsy byth 'sthwr 'ebd hd' w'mr
He said, ‘This is what I will do. I will pull down my barns, and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܢܦܫܝ ܢܦܫܝ ܐܝܬ ܠܟܝ ܛܒܬܐ ܣܓܝܐܬܐ ܕܣܝܡܢ ܠܫܢܝܐ ܣܓܝܐܬܐ ܐܬܬܢܝܚܝ ܐܟܘܠܝ ܐܫܬܝ ܐܬܒܣܡܝ
'thbsmy 'shthy 'kwly 'ththnykhy sgy'th' lshny' dsymn sgy'th' Tbth' lky 'yth npshy lnpshy w'mr
I will tell my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take your ease, eat, drink, be merry.”’

ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܕܝܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܚܣܝܪ ܪܥܝܢܐ ܒܗܢܐ ܠܠܝܐ ܢܦܫܟ ܬܒܥܝܢ ܠܗ ܡܢܟ ܘܗܠܝܢ ܕܛܝܒܬ ܠܡܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ
nhwyn lmn dTybth whlyn mnk lh thbeyn npshk lly' bhn' reyn' khsyr 'lh' dyn lh 'mr
“But God said to him, ‘You foolish one, tonight your soul is required of you. The things which you have prepared—whose will they be?’

ܗܟܢܐ ܗܘ ܡܢ ܕܣܐܡ ܠܗ ܣܝܡܬܐ ܘܒܐܠܗܐ ܠܐ ܥܬܝܪ
ethyr l' wb'lh' symth' lh ds'm mn hw hkn'
So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܐ ܬܐܨܦܘܢ ܠܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܬܐܟܠܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܠܦܓܪܟܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܬܠܒܫܘܢ
thlbshwn mn' lpgrkwn wl' th'klwn mn' lnpshkwn th'tspwn l' 'n' 'mr lkwn hn' mTl lthlmydwhy w'mr
He said to his disciples,
“Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear.

ܢܦܫܐ ܓܝܪ ܝܬܝܪܐ ܡܢ ܣܝܒܪܬܐ ܘܦܓܪܐ ܡܢ ܠܒܘܫܐ
lbwsh' mn wpgr' sybrth' mn ythyr' gyr npsh'
Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.

ܐܬܒܩܘ ܒܢܥܒܐ ܕܠܐ ܙܪܥܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܚܨܕܝܢ ܘܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܬܘܢܐ ܘܒܝܬ ܩܦܣܐ ܘܐܠܗܐ ܡܬܪܣܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܟܡܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܝܬܝܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܦܪܚܬܐ
prkhth' mn 'nthwn ythyryn 'nthwn hkyl km' lhwn mthrs' w'lh' qps' wbyth thwn' lhwn wlyth khtsdyn wl' zreyn dl' bneb' 'thbqw
Consider the ravens: they don’t sow, they don’t reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds!

ܐܝܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܟܕ ܝܨܦ ܡܫܟܚ ܠܡܘܣܦܘ ܥܠ ܩܘܡܬܗ ܐܡܬܐ ܚܕܐ
khd' 'mth' qwmthh el lmwspw mshkkh ytsp kd mnkwn dyn 'yn'
Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his height?

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܙܥܘܪܬܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܥܠ ܫܪܟܐ ܝܨܦܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn ytspyn shrk' el mn' 'nthwn mshkkhyn zewrth' l' 'p dyn 'n
If then you aren’t able to do even the least things, why are you anxious about the rest?

ܐܬܒܩܘ ܒܫܘܫܢܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܪܒܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܠܐܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܥܙܠܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܐܦ ܠܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܒܟܠܗ ܫܘܒܚܗ ܐܬܟܣܝ ܐܝܟ ܚܕܐ ܡܢ ܗܠܝܢ
hlyn mn khd' 'yk 'thksy shwbkhh bklh shlymwn l' d'p dyn lkwn 'n' 'mr ezln wl' l'yn dl' rbyn 'ykn' bshwshn' 'thbqw
Consider the lilies, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܠܥܡܝܪܐ ܕܝܘܡܢܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܒܚܩܠܐ ܘܡܚܪ ܢܦܠ ܒܬܢܘܪܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܡܠܒܫ ܟܡܐ ܝܬܝܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܙܥܘܪܝ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ
hymnwth' zewry lkwn ythyr km' mlbsh hkn' 'lh' bthnwr' npl wmkhr bkhql' 'ythwhy dywmn' lemyr' dyn 'n
But if this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?

ܘܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܐ ܬܒܥܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܬܐܟܠܘܢ ܘܡܢܐ ܬܫܬܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܦܗܐ ܪܥܝܢܟܘܢ ܒܗܠܝܢ
bhlyn reynkwn nph' wl' thshthwn wmn' th'klwn mn' thbewn l' w'nthwn
Don’t seek what you will eat or what you will drink; neither be anxious.

ܗܠܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܗܘ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܒܥܝܢ ܐܦ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܒܘܟܘܢ ܝܕܥ ܕܡܬܒܥܝܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ
hlyn lkwn dmthbeyn yde 'bwkwn dyn lkwn 'p beyn delm' hw emm' klhyn gyr hlyn
For the nations of the world seek after all of these things, but your Father knows that you need these things.

ܒܪܡ ܒܥܘ ܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܡܬܬܘܣܦܢ ܠܟܘܢ
lkwn mththwspn klhyn whlyn d'lh' mlkwthh bew brm
But seek God’s Kingdom, and all these things will be added to you.

ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠ ܓܙܪܐ ܙܥܘܪܐ ܕܨܒܐ ܐܒܘܟܘܢ ܕܢܬܠ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ
mlkwth' lkwn dnthl 'bwkwn dtsb' zewr' gzr' thdkhl l'
Don’t be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.

ܙܒܢܘ ܩܢܝܢܟܘܢ ܘܗܒܘ ܙܕܩܬܐ ܥܒܕܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܟܝܣܐ ܕܠܐ ܒܠܝܢ ܘܣܝܡܬܐ ܕܠܐ ܓܝܙܐ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܓܢܒܐ ܠܐ ܩܪܒ ܘܣܣܐ ܠܐ ܡܚܒܠ
mkhbl l' wss' qrb l' dgnb' 'yk' bshmy' gyz' dl' wsymth' blyn dl' kys' lkwn ebdw zdqth' whbw qnynkwn zbnw
Sell that which you have, and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which don’t grow old, a treasure in the heavens that doesn’t fail, where no thief approaches, neither moth destroys.

ܐܝܟܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܝܬܝܗ ܣܝܡܬܟܘܢ ܬܡܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܐܦ ܠܒܟܘܢ
lbkwn 'p nhw' thmn symthkwn d'ythyh gyr 'yk'
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

ܢܗܘܘܢ ܐܣܝܪܝܢ ܚܨܝܟܘܢ ܘܡܢܗܪܝܢ ܫܪܓܝܟܘܢ
shrgykwn wmnhryn khtsykwn 'syryn nhwwn
“Let your waist be dressed and your lamps burning.

ܘܗܘܘ ܕܡܝܢ ܠܐܢܫܐ ܕܡܣܟܝܢ ܠܡܪܗܘܢ ܕܐܡܬܝ ܢܦܢܐ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܫܬܘܬܐ ܕܡܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܘܢܩܫ ܡܚܕܐ ܢܦܬܚܘܢ ܠܗ
lh npthkhwn mkhd' wnqsh d'th' dm' mshthwth' byth mn npn' d'mthy lmrhwn dmskyn l'nsh' dmyn whww
Be like men watching for their lord, when he returns from the marriage feast; that, when he comes and knocks, they may immediately open to him.

ܛܘܒܝܗܘܢ ܠܥܒܕܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܢܐܬܐ ܡܪܗܘܢ ܘܢܫܟܚ ܐܢܘܢ ܟܕ ܥܝܪܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܢܐܣܘܪ ܚܨܘܗܝ ܘܢܣܡܟ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܢܥܒܪ ܢܫܡܫ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn nshmsh wnebr 'nwn wnsmk khtswhy dn'swr lkwn 'n' 'mr 'myn eyryn kd 'nwn wnshkkh mrhwn dn'th' 'ylyn hnwn lebd' Twbyhwn
Blessed are those servants, whom the lord will find watching when he comes. Most certainly I tell you, that he will dress himself, and make them recline, and will come and serve them.

ܘܐܢ ܒܡܛܪܬܐ ܕܬܪܬܝܢ ܐܘ ܕܬܠܬ ܢܐܬܐ ܘܢܫܟܚ ܗܟܢܐ ܛܘܒܝܗܘܢ ܠܥܒܕܐ ܗܢܘܢ
hnwn lebd' Twbyhwn hkn' wnshkkh n'th' dthlth 'w dthrthyn bmTrth' w'n
They will be blessed if he comes in the second or third watch, and finds them so.

ܗܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܥܘ ܕܐܠܘ ܝܕܥ ܗܘܐ ܡܪܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܡܛܪܬܐ ܐܬܐ ܓܢܒܐ ܡܬܬܥܝܪ ܗܘܐ ܘܠܐ ܫܒܩ ܗܘܐ ܕܢܬܦܠܫ ܒܝܬܗ
bythh dnthplsh hw' shbq wl' hw' mththeyr gnb' 'th' mTrth' b'yd' byth' mr' hw' yde d'lw dew dyn hd'
But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched, and not allowed his house to be broken into.

ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܗܘܘ ܡܛܝܒܐ ܕܒܗܝ ܫܥܬܐ ܕܠܐ ܣܒܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܬܐ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ
d'nsh' brh 'th' 'nthwn sbryn dl' sheth' dbhy mTyb' hww hkyl 'nthwn 'p
Therefore be ready also, for the Son of Man is coming in an hour that you don’t expect him.”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܟܐܦܐ ܡܪܢ ܠܘܬܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܬ ܠܗ ܠܡܬܠܐ ܗܢܐ ܐܘ ܐܦ ܠܘܬ ܟܠܢܫ

Peter said to him, “Lord, are you telling this parable to us, or to everybody?”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܢܘ ܟܝ ܐܝܬ ܪܒܝܬܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܘܚܟܝܡܐ ܕܢܩܝܡܝܘܗܝ ܡܪܗ ܥܠ ܬܫܡܫܬܗ ܕܢܬܠ ܦܪܣܐ ܒܙܒܢܗ

The Lord said,
“Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the right times?

ܛܘܒܘܗܝ ܠܗܘ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܢܐܬܐ ܡܪܗ ܢܫܟܚܝܘܗܝ ܕܥܒܕ ܗܟܢܐ

Blessed is that servant whom his lord will find doing so when he comes.

ܫܪܝܪܐܝܬ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܢܩܝܡܝܘܗܝ ܥܠ ܟܠܗ ܩܢܝܢܗ
qnynh klh el dnqymywhy lkwn 'n' 'mr shryr'yth
Truly I tell you, that he will set him over all that he has.

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܢܐܡܪ ܥܒܕܐ ܗܘ ܒܠܒܗ ܕܡܪܝ ܡܘܚܪ ܠܡܐܬܐ ܘܢܫܪܐ ܠܡܡܚܐ ܠܥܒܕܐ ܘܠܐܡܗܬܐ ܕܡܪܗ ܘܢܫܪܐ ܠܡܠܥܣ ܘܠܡܫܬܐ ܘܠܡܪܘܐ
wlmrw' wlmshth' lmles wnshr' dmrh wl'mhth' lebd' lmmkh' wnshr' lm'th' mwkhr dmry blbh hw ebd' n'mr dyn 'n
But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My lord delays his coming,’ and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken,

ܢܐܬܐ ܡܪܗ ܕܥܒܕܐ ܗܘ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܠܐ ܣܒܪ ܘܒܫܥܬܐ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܘܢܦܠܓܝܘܗܝ ܘܢܣܝܡ ܡܢܬܗ ܥܡ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܝܢ
mhymnyn dl' hnwn em mnthh wnsym wnplgywhy yde dl' wbsheth' sbr dl' bywm' hw debd' mrh n'th'
then the lord of that servant will come in a day when he isn’t expecting him, and in an hour that he doesn’t know, and will cut him in two, and place his portion with the unfaithful.

ܥܒܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܝܕܥ ܨܒܝܢܐ ܕܡܪܗ ܘܠܐ ܛܝܒ ܠܗ ܐܝܟ ܨܒܝܢܗ ܢܒܠܥ ܣܓܝܐܬܐ
sgy'th' nble tsbynh 'yk lh Tyb wl' dmrh tsbyn' dyde 'yn' dyn ebd'
That servant, who knew his lord’s will, and didn’t prepare, nor do what he wanted, will be beaten with many stripes,

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥ ܘܥܒܕ ܡܕܡ ܕܫܘܐ ܠܡܚܘܬܐ ܢܒܠܥ ܡܚܘܬܐ ܙܥܘܪܝܬܐ ܟܠ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܬܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܣܓܝ ܣܓܝ ܢܬܬܒܥ ܡܢܗ ܘܠܗܘ ܕܐܓܥܠܘ ܠܗ ܣܓܝ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܢܬܒܥܘܢ ܒܐܝܕܗ
b'ydh nthbewn ythyr'yth sgy lh d'gelw wlhw mnh nththbe sgy sgy lh d'thyhb gyr kl zewryth' mkhwth' nble lmkhwth' dshw' mdm webd yde dl' dyn hw
but he who didn’t know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked.

ܘܡܥܡܘܕܝܬܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܝ ܕܐܥܡܕ ܘܣܓܝ ܐܠܝܨ ܐܢܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܬܫܬܡܠܐ

But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!

ܣܒܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܫܝܢܐ ܐܬܝܬ ܕܐܪܡܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܐܠܐ ܦܠܓܘܬܐ

Do you think that I have come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, no, but rather division.

ܡܢ ܗܫܐ ܓܝܪ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܚܡܫܐ ܒܒܝܬܐ ܚܕ ܕܦܠܝܓܝܢ ܬܠܬܐ ܥܠ ܬܪܝܢ ܘܬܪܝܢ ܥܠ ܬܠܬܐ

For from now on, there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

ܢܬܦܠܓ ܓܝܪ ܐܒܐ ܥܠ ܒܪܗ ܘܒܪܐ ܥܠ ܐܒܘܗܝ ܐܡܐ ܥܠ ܒܪܬܗ ܘܒܪܬܐ ܥܠ ܐܡܗ ܚܡܬܐ ܥܠ ܟܠܬܗ ܘܟܠܬܐ ܥܠ ܚܡܬܗ

They will be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against her mother; mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܟܢܫܐ ܡܐ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܥܢܢܐ ܕܕܢܚܐ ܡܢ ܡܥܪܒܐ ܡܚܕܐ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܛܪܐ ܐܬܐ ܘܗܘܐ ܗܟܢܐ

ܢܣܒܝ ܒܐܦܐ ܦܪܨܘܦܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܘܕܫܡܝܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܬܦܪܫܘܢ ܙܒܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܗܢܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܠܐ ܦܪܫܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn prshyn l' 'ykn' hn' dyn zbn' dthprshwn 'nthwn ydeyn wdshmy' d're' prtswp' b'p' nsby
You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky, but how is it that you don’t interpret this time?

ܠܡܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܠܐ ܕܝܢܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܩܘܫܬܐ

ܡܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܙܠ ܐܢܬ ܥܡ ܒܥܠܕܝܢܟ ܠܘܬ ܐܪܟܘܢܐ ܥܕ ܒܐܘܪܚܐ ܐܢܬ ܗܒ ܬܐܓܘܪܬܐ ܘܬܬܦܪܩ ܡܢܗ ܕܠܡܐ ܢܘܒܠܟ ܠܘܬ ܕܝܢܐ ܘܕܝܢܐ ܢܫܠܡܟ ܠܓܒܝܐ ܘܓܒܝܐ ܢܪܡܝܟ ܒܝܬ ܐܣܝܪܐ
'syr' byth nrmyk wgby' lgby' nshlmk wdyn' dyn' lwth nwblk dlm' mnh wththprq th'gwrth' hb 'nth b'wrkh' ed 'rkwn' lwth beldynk em 'nth d'zl gyr m'
For when you are going with your adversary before the magistrate, try diligently on the way to be released from him, lest perhaps he drag you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison.
