מליל עם בני ישראל ותימר להון ארי תעלון לארעא די אנא יהב לכון ותשמט ארעא שמטתא קדם יי:
mlyl em bny yshral wthymr lhwn ary thelwn larea dy ana yhb lkwn wthshmT area shmTtha qdm yy
“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a Sabbath to Yahweh.

שית שנין תזרע חקלך ושית שנין תכסח כרמך ותכנוש ית עללתה:
shyth shnyn thzre khqlk wshyth shnyn thkskh krmk wthknwsh yth ellthh
You shall sow your field six years, and you shall prune your vineyard six years, and gather in its fruits;

ובשתא שביעתא ניח שמטתא יהי לארעא דתשמט קדם יי חקלך לא תזרע וכרמך לא תכסח:
wbshtha shbyetha nykh shmTtha yhy larea dthshmT qdm yy khqlk la thzre wkrmk la thkskh
but in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to Yahweh. You shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard.

ית כתי דחצדך לא תחצד וית ענבי שבקך לא תקטוף שנת שמטתא יהי לארעא:
yth kthy dkhtsdk la thkhtsd wyth enby shbqk la thqTwp shnth shmTtha yhy larea
What grows of itself in your harvest you shall not reap, and you shall not gather the grapes of your undressed vine. It shall be a year of solemn rest for the land.

ותהי שמטת ארעא לכון למיכל לך ולעבדך ולאמתך ולאגירך ולתותבך דדירין עמך:
wthhy shmTth area lkwn lmykl lk wlebdk wlamthk wlagyrk wlthwthbk ddyryn emk
The Sabbath of the land shall be for food for you; for yourself, for your servant, for your maid, for your hired servant, and for your stranger, who lives as a foreigner with you.

ולבעירך ולחיתא די בארעך תהי כל עללתה למיכל:

For your livestock also, and for the animals that are in your land, shall all its increase be for food.

ותמני לך שבע שמטין דשנין שבע שנין שבע זמנין ויהון לך יומי שבע שמטין דשנין ארבעין ותשע שנין:
wthmny lk shbe shmTyn dshnyn shbe shnyn shbe zmnyn wyhwn lk ywmy shbe shmTyn dshnyn arbeyn wthshe shnyn
“‘You shall count off seven Sabbaths of years, seven times seven years; and there shall be to you the days of seven Sabbaths of years, even forty-nine years.

ותעבר שופר יבבא בירחא שביעאה בעשרא לירחא ביומא דכפוריא תעברון שופרא בכל ארעכון:
wthebr shwpr ybba byrkha shbyeah beshra lyrkha bywma dkpwrya thebrwn shwpra bkl arekwn
Then you shall sound the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. On the Day of Atonement you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land.

ותקדשון ית שנת חמשין שנין ותקרון חרותא בארעא לכל יתבהא יובלא היא תהי לכון ותתובון גבר לאחסנתיה וגבר לזרעיתיה תתובון:
wthqdshwn yth shnth khmshyn shnyn wthqrwn khrwtha barea lkl ythbha ywbla hya thhy lkwn wththwbwn gbr lakhsnthyh wgbr lzreythyh ththwbwn
You shall make the fiftieth year holy, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee to you; and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family.

יובלא היא שנת חמשין שנין תהי לכון לא תזרעון ולא תחצדון ית כתהא ולא תקטפון ית שבקהא:
ywbla hya shnth khmshyn shnyn thhy lkwn la thzrewn wla thkhtsdwn yth kthha wla thqTpwn yth shbqha
That fiftieth year shall be a jubilee to you. In it you shall not sow, neither reap that which grows of itself, nor gather from the undressed vines.

ארי יובלא היא קודשא תהי לכון מן חקלא תיכלון ית עללתה:
ary ywbla hya qwdsha thhy lkwn mn khqla thyklwn yth ellthh
For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you. You shall eat of its increase out of the field.

בשתא דיובלא הדא תתובון גבר לאחסנתיה:
bshtha dywbla hda ththwbwn gbr lakhsnthyh
“‘In this Year of Jubilee each of you shall return to his property.

וארי תזבן זבינין לחברך או תזבן מידא דחברך לא תונון גבר ית אחוהי:
wary thzbn zbynyn lkhbrk aw thzbn myda dkhbrk la thwnwn gbr yth akhwhy
“‘If you sell anything to your neighbor, or buy from your neighbor, you shall not wrong one another.

במנין שניא בתר יובלא תזבן מן חברך במנין שני עללתא יזבן לך:
bmnyn shnya bthr ywbla thzbn mn khbrk bmnyn shny elltha yzbn lk
According to the number of years after the Jubilee you shall buy from your neighbor. According to the number of years of the crops he shall sell to you.

לפום סגיאות שניא תסגי זבינוהי ולפום זערות שניא תזער זבינוהי ארי מנין עללתא הוא מזבן לך:
lpwm sgyawth shnya thsgy zbynwhy wlpwm zerwth shnya thzer zbynwhy ary mnyn elltha hwa mzbn lk
According to the length of the years you shall increase its price, and according to the shortness of the years you shall diminish its price; for he is selling the number of the crops to you.

ולא תונון גבר ית חבריה ותדחל מאלהך ארי אנא יי אלהכון:
wla thwnwn gbr yth khbryh wthdkhl malhk ary ana yy alhkwn
You shall not wrong one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am Yahweh your God.
18
ותעבדון ית קימי וית דיני תטרון ותעבדון יתהון ותיתבון על ארעא לרחצן:
wthebdwn yth qymy wyth dyny thTrwn wthebdwn ythhwn wthythbwn el area lrkhtsn
“‘Therefore you shall do my statutes, and keep my ordinances and do them; and you shall dwell in the land in safety.

ותתן ארעא אבה ותיכלון למשבע ותיתבון לרחצן עלה:
wththn area abh wthyklwn lmshbe wthythbwn lrkhtsn elh
The land shall yield its fruit, and you shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
20
וארי תימרון מא ניכול בשתא שביעתא הא לא נזרע ולא נכנוש ית עללתנא:
wary thymrwn ma nykwl bshtha shbyetha ha la nzre wla nknwsh yth ellthna
If you said, “What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase;”

ואפקד ית ברכתי לכון בשתא שתיתתא ותעבד ית עללתא לתלת שנין:
wapqd yth brkthy lkwn bshtha shthyththa wthebd yth elltha lthlth shnyn
then I will command my blessing on you in the sixth year, and it shall bear fruit for the three years.

ותזרעון ית שתא תמינתא ותיכלון מן עללתא עתיקא עד שתא תשיעתא עד מעל עללתה תיכלון עתיקא:
wthzrewn yth shtha thmyntha wthyklwn mn elltha ethyqa ed shtha thshyetha ed mel ellthh thyklwn ethyqa
You shall sow the eighth year, and eat of the fruits from the old store until the ninth year. Until its fruits come in, you shall eat the old store.
23
וארעא לא תזדבן לחלוטין ארי דילי ארעא ארי דירין ותותבין אתון קדמי:
warea la thzdbn lkhlwTyn ary dyly area ary dyryn wthwthbyn athwn qdmy
“‘The land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine; for you are strangers and live as foreigners with me.

ובכל ארעא אחסנתכון פרקנא תתנון לארעא:
wbkl area akhsnthkwn prqna ththnwn larea
In all the land of your possession you shall grant a redemption for the land.
25
ארי יתמסכן אחוך ויזבן מאחסנתה וייתי פריקיה דקריב ליה ויפרוק ית זביני אחוהי:
ary ythmskn akhwk wyzbn makhsnthh wyythy pryqyh dqryb lyh wyprwq yth zbyny akhwhy
“‘If your brother becomes poor, and sells some of his possessions, then his kinsman who is next to him shall come, and redeem that which his brother has sold.

וגבר ארי לא יהי לה פריק ותדבק ידה וישכח כמסת פרקנה:
wgbr ary la yhy lh pryq wthdbq ydh wyshkkh kmsth prqnh
If a man has no one to redeem it, and he becomes prosperous and finds sufficient means to redeem it,
27
ויחשב ית שני זבינוהי ויתב ית מותרא לגבר די זבן ליה ויתוב לאחסנתה:
wykhshb yth shny zbynwhy wythb yth mwthra lgbr dy zbn lyh wythwb lakhsnthh
then let him reckon the years since its sale, and restore the surplus to the man to whom he sold it; and he shall return to his property.
28
ואם לא תשכח ידה כמסת אתב ליה ויהי זבינוהי בידא דזבן יתיה עד שתא דיובלא ויפוק ביובלא ויתוב לאחסנתיה:
wam la thshkkh ydh kmsth athb lyh wyhy zbynwhy byda dzbn ythyh ed shtha dywbla wypwq bywbla wythwb lakhsnthyh
But if he isn’t able to get it back for himself, then what he has sold shall remain in the hand of him who has bought it until the Year of Jubilee. In the Jubilee it shall be released, and he shall return to his property.

וגבר ארי יזבן בית מותב קרתא מקפא שור ותהי פרקניה עד משלם שתא דזבינוהי עדן בעדן תהי פרקניה:
wgbr ary yzbn byth mwthb qrtha mqpa shwr wthhy prqnyh ed mshlm shtha dzbynwhy edn bedn thhy prqnyh
“‘If a man sells a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it has been sold. For a full year he shall have the right of redemption.

ואם לא יתפרק עד משלם ליה שתא שלמתא ויקום ביתא די בקרתא די ליה שורא לחלוטין לדי זבן יתיה לדרוהי לא יפוק ביובלא:
wam la ythprq ed mshlm lyh shtha shlmtha wyqwm bytha dy bqrtha dy lyh shwra lkhlwTyn ldy zbn ythyh ldrwhy la ypwq bywbla
If it isn’t redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be made sure in perpetuity to him who bought it, throughout his generations. It shall not be released in the Jubilee.

ובתי פצחיא די לית להון שור מקף סחור סחור על חקל ארעא יתחשב פרקנא תהי ליה וביובלא יפוק:
wbthy ptskhya dy lyth lhwn shwr mqp skhwr skhwr el khql area ythkhshb prqna thhy lyh wbywbla ypwq
But the houses of the villages which have no wall around them shall be accounted for with the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall be released in the Jubilee.

וקרוי ליואי בתי קרוי אחסנתהון פרקן עלם תהי לליואי:
wqrwy lyway bthy qrwy akhsnthhwn prqn elm thhy llyway
“‘Nevertheless, in the cities of the Levites, the Levites may redeem the houses in the cities of their possession at any time.

ודי יפרוק מן ליואי ויפוק זבין ביתא וקרתא אחסנתיה ביובלא ארי בתי קרוי ליואי היא אחסנתהון בגו בני ישראל:
wdy yprwq mn lyway wypwq zbyn bytha wqrtha akhsnthyh bywbla ary bthy qrwy lyway hya akhsnthhwn bgw bny yshral
The Levites may redeem the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, and it shall be released in the Jubilee; for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.

וחקל רוח קרויהון לא יזדבן ארי אחסנת עלם הוא להון:
wkhql rwkh qrwyhwn la yzdbn ary akhsnth elm hwa lhwn
But the field of the pasture lands of their cities may not be sold, for it is their perpetual possession.
35
וארי יתמסכן אחוך ותמוט ידיה עמך ותתקף ביה דיר ותותב ויחי עמך:
wary ythmskn akhwk wthmwT ydyh emk wththqp byh dyr wthwthb wykhy emk
“‘If your brother has become poor, and his hand can’t support himself among you, then you shall uphold him. He shall live with you like an alien and a temporary resident.
36
לא תסב מניה חבוליא ורביתא ותדחל מאלהך ויחי אחוך עמך:
la thsb mnyh khbwlya wrbytha wthdkhl malhk wykhy akhwk emk
Take no interest from him or profit; but fear your God, that your brother may live among you.
37
ית כספך לא תתן ליה בחבוליא וברביתא לא תתן מיכלך:
yth kspk la ththn lyh bkhbwlya wbrbytha la ththn myklk
You shall not lend him your money at interest, nor give him your food for profit.
38
אנא יי אלהכון די אפקית יתכון מארעא דמצרים למתן לכון ית ארעא דכנען למהוי לכון לאלה:
ana yy alhkwn dy apqyth ythkwn marea dmtsrym lmthn lkwn yth area dknen lmhwy lkwn lalh
I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.
39
וארי יתמסכן אחוך עמך ויזדבן לך לא תפלח ביה פלחן עבדין:
wary ythmskn akhwk emk wyzdbn lk la thplkh byh plkhn ebdyn
“‘If your brother has grown poor among you, and sells himself to you, you shall not make him to serve as a slave.
40
כאגירא כתותבא יהי עמך עד שתא דיובלא יפלח עמך:
kagyra kthwthba yhy emk ed shtha dywbla yplkh emk
As a hired servant, and as a temporary resident, he shall be with you; he shall serve with you until the Year of Jubilee.
41
ויפוק מעמך הוא ובנוהי עמיה ויתוב לזרעיתיה ולאחסנת אבהתוהי יתוב:
wypwq memk hwa wbnwhy emyh wythwb lzreythyh wlakhsnth abhthwhy ythwb
Then he shall go out from you, he and his children with him, and shall return to his own family, and to the possession of his fathers.
42
ארי עבדי אנון די אפקית יתהון מארעא דמצרים לא יזדבנון זבון עבדין:
ary ebdy anwn dy apqyth ythhwn marea dmtsrym la yzdbnwn zbwn ebdyn
For they are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. They shall not be sold as slaves.
43
לא תפלח ביה בקשיו ותדחל מאלהך:
la thplkh byh bqshyw wthdkhl malhk
You shall not rule over him with harshness, but shall fear your God.
44
ועבדך ואמתך די יהון לך מן עממיא די בסחרניכון מנהון תקנון עבדין ואמהן:
webdk wamthk dy yhwn lk mn emmya dy bskhrnykwn mnhwn thqnwn ebdyn wamhn
“‘As for your male and your female slaves, whom you may have from the nations that are around you, from them you may buy male and female slaves.

ואף מבני תותביא ערליא דדירין עמכון מנהון תקנון ומזרעיתהון דעמכון די אתילידו בארעכון ויהון לכון לאחסנא:
wap mbny thwthbya erlya ddyryn emkwn mnhwn thqnwn wmzreythhwn demkwn dy athylydw barekwn wyhwn lkwn lakhsna
Moreover, of the children of the aliens who live among you, of them you may buy, and of their families who are with you, which they have conceived in your land; and they will be your property.

ותחסנון יתהון לבניכון בתריכון לירותת אחסנא לעלם בהון תפלחון ובאחיכון בני ישראל גבר באחוהי לא תפלח ביה בקשיו:
wthkhsnwn ythhwn lbnykwn bthrykwn lyrwthth akhsna lelm bhwn thplkhwn wbakhykwn bny yshral gbr bakhwhy la thplkh byh bqshyw
You may make them an inheritance for your children after you, to hold for a possession. Of them you may take your slaves forever, but over your brothers the children of Israel you shall not rule, one over another, with harshness.

וארי תדבק יד ערל ותותב עמך ויתמסכן אחוך עמיה ויזדבן לערל תותב עמך או לארמי זרעית גיורא:
wary thdbq yd erl wthwthb emk wythmskn akhwk emyh wyzdbn lerl thwthb emk aw larmy zreyth gywra
“‘If an alien or temporary resident with you becomes rich, and your brother beside him has grown poor, and sells himself to the stranger or foreigner living among you, or to a member of the stranger’s family,

בתר דיזדבן פרקנא תהי ליה חד מאחוהי יפרקניה:
bthr dyzdbn prqna thhy lyh khd makhwhy yprqnyh
after he is sold he may be redeemed. One of his brothers may redeem him;
49
או אח אבוהי או בר אח אבוהי יפרקניה או מקריב בשריה מזרעיתיה יפרקניה או דתדבק ידיה ויתפרק:
aw akh abwhy aw br akh abwhy yprqnyh aw mqryb bshryh mzreythyh yprqnyh aw dthdbq ydyh wythprq
or his uncle, or his uncle’s son, may redeem him, or any who is a close relative to him of his family may redeem him; or if he has grown rich, he may redeem himself.

ויחשב עם זבניה משתא דאזדבן ליה עד שתא דיובלא ויהי כסף זבינוהי במנין שניא כיומי אגירא יהי עמיה:
wykhshb em zbnyh mshtha dazdbn lyh ed shtha dywbla wyhy ksp zbynwhy bmnyn shnya kywmy agyra yhy emyh
He shall reckon with him who bought him from the year that he sold himself to him to the Year of Jubilee. The price of his sale shall be according to the number of years; he shall be with him according to the time of a hired servant.

אם עוד סגיות בשניא לפומהן יתיב פרקניה מכסף זבינוהי:
am ewd sgywth bshnya lpwmhn ythyb prqnyh mksp zbynwhy
If there are yet many years, according to them he shall give back the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.
52
ואם זער ישתאר בשניא עד שתא דיובלא ויחשב ליה כפום שנוהי יתב ית פרקניה:
wam zer yshthar bshnya ed shtha dywbla wykhshb lyh kpwm shnwhy ythb yth prqnyh
If there remain but a few years to the year of jubilee, then he shall reckon with him; according to his years of service he shall give back the price of his redemption.

כאגיר שנא בשנא יהי עמיה לא יפלח ביה בקשיו לעיניך:
kagyr shna bshna yhy emyh la yplkh byh bqshyw leynyk
As a servant hired year by year shall he be with him. He shall not rule with harshness over him in your sight.
54
ואם לא יתפרק באלין ויפוק בשתא דיובלא הוא ובנוהי עמיה:
wam la ythprq balyn wypwq bshtha dywbla hwa wbnwhy emyh
If he isn’t redeemed by these means, then he shall be released in the Year of Jubilee: he and his children with him.
55
ארי דילי בני ישראל עבדין עבדי אנון די אפיקית יתהון מארעא דמצרים אנא יי אלהכון:
ary dyly bny yshral ebdyn ebdy anwn dy apyqyth ythhwn marea dmtsrym ana yy alhkwn
For to me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.
