ומליל יי עם משה בטורא דסיני למימר:
lmymr dsyny bTwra mshh em yy wmlyl
Yahweh said to Moses on Mount Sinai,

מליל עם בני ישראל ותימר להון ארי תעלון לארעא די אנא יהב לכון ותשמט ארעא שמטתא קדם יי:
yy qdm shmTtha area wthshmT lkwn yhb ana dy larea thelwn ary lhwn wthymr yshral bny em mlyl
“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a Sabbath to Yahweh.

שית שנין תזרע חקלך ושית שנין תכסח כרמך ותכנוש ית עללתה:
ellthh yth wthknwsh krmk thkskh shnyn wshyth khqlk thzre shnyn shyth
You shall sow your field six years, and you shall prune your vineyard six years, and gather in its fruits;

ובשתא שביעתא ניח שמטתא יהי לארעא דתשמט קדם יי חקלך לא תזרע וכרמך לא תכסח:
thkskh la wkrmk thzre la khqlk yy qdm dthshmT larea yhy shmTtha nykh shbyetha wbshtha
but in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to Yahweh. You shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard.

ית כתי דחצדך לא תחצד וית ענבי שבקך לא תקטוף שנת שמטתא יהי לארעא:
larea yhy shmTtha shnth thqTwp la shbqk enby wyth thkhtsd la dkhtsdk kthy yth
What grows of itself in your harvest you shall not reap, and you shall not gather the grapes of your undressed vine. It shall be a year of solemn rest for the land.

ותהי שמטת ארעא לכון למיכל לך ולעבדך ולאמתך ולאגירך ולתותבך דדירין עמך:
emk ddyryn wlthwthbk wlagyrk wlamthk wlebdk lk lmykl lkwn area shmTth wthhy
The Sabbath of the land shall be for food for you; for yourself, for your servant, for your maid, for your hired servant, and for your stranger, who lives as a foreigner with you.

ולבעירך ולחיתא די בארעך תהי כל עללתה למיכל:
lmykl ellthh kl thhy barek dy wlkhytha wlbeyrk
For your livestock also, and for the animals that are in your land, shall all its increase be for food.
8
ותמני לך שבע שמטין דשנין שבע שנין שבע זמנין ויהון לך יומי שבע שמטין דשנין ארבעין ותשע שנין:
shnyn wthshe arbeyn dshnyn shmTyn shbe ywmy lk wyhwn zmnyn shbe shnyn shbe dshnyn shmTyn shbe lk wthmny
“‘You shall count off seven Sabbaths of years, seven times seven years; and there shall be to you the days of seven Sabbaths of years, even forty-nine years.

ותעבר שופר יבבא בירחא שביעאה בעשרא לירחא ביומא דכפוריא תעברון שופרא בכל ארעכון:
arekwn bkl shwpra thebrwn dkpwrya bywma lyrkha beshra shbyeah byrkha ybba shwpr wthebr
Then you shall sound the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. On the Day of Atonement you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land.

ותקדשון ית שנת חמשין שנין ותקרון חרותא בארעא לכל יתבהא יובלא היא תהי לכון ותתובון גבר לאחסנתיה וגבר לזרעיתיה תתובון:
ththwbwn lzreythyh wgbr lakhsnthyh gbr wththwbwn lkwn thhy hya ywbla ythbha lkl barea khrwtha wthqrwn shnyn khmshyn shnth yth wthqdshwn
You shall make the fiftieth year holy, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee to you; and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family.

יובלא היא שנת חמשין שנין תהי לכון לא תזרעון ולא תחצדון ית כתהא ולא תקטפון ית שבקהא:
shbqha yth thqTpwn wla kthha yth thkhtsdwn wla thzrewn la lkwn thhy shnyn khmshyn shnth hya ywbla
That fiftieth year shall be a jubilee to you. In it you shall not sow, neither reap that which grows of itself, nor gather from the undressed vines.

ארי יובלא היא קודשא תהי לכון מן חקלא תיכלון ית עללתה:
ellthh yth thyklwn khqla mn lkwn thhy qwdsha hya ywbla ary
For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you. You shall eat of its increase out of the field.

בשתא דיובלא הדא תתובון גבר לאחסנתיה:
lakhsnthyh gbr ththwbwn hda dywbla bshtha
“‘In this Year of Jubilee each of you shall return to his property.
14
וארי תזבן זבינין לחברך או תזבן מידא דחברך לא תונון גבר ית אחוהי:
akhwhy yth gbr thwnwn la dkhbrk myda thzbn aw lkhbrk zbynyn thzbn wary
“‘If you sell anything to your neighbor, or buy from your neighbor, you shall not wrong one another.

במנין שניא בתר יובלא תזבן מן חברך במנין שני עללתא יזבן לך:
lk yzbn elltha shny bmnyn khbrk mn thzbn ywbla bthr shnya bmnyn
According to the number of years after the Jubilee you shall buy from your neighbor. According to the number of years of the crops he shall sell to you.

לפום סגיאות שניא תסגי זבינוהי ולפום זערות שניא תזער זבינוהי ארי מנין עללתא הוא מזבן לך:
lk mzbn hwa elltha mnyn ary zbynwhy thzer shnya zerwth wlpwm zbynwhy thsgy shnya sgyawth lpwm
According to the length of the years you shall increase its price, and according to the shortness of the years you shall diminish its price; for he is selling the number of the crops to you.

ולא תונון גבר ית חבריה ותדחל מאלהך ארי אנא יי אלהכון:
alhkwn yy ana ary malhk wthdkhl khbryh yth gbr thwnwn wla
You shall not wrong one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am Yahweh your God.
18
ותעבדון ית קימי וית דיני תטרון ותעבדון יתהון ותיתבון על ארעא לרחצן:
lrkhtsn area el wthythbwn ythhwn wthebdwn thTrwn dyny wyth qymy yth wthebdwn
“‘Therefore you shall do my statutes, and keep my ordinances and do them; and you shall dwell in the land in safety.

ותתן ארעא אבה ותיכלון למשבע ותיתבון לרחצן עלה:
elh lrkhtsn wthythbwn lmshbe wthyklwn abh area wththn
The land shall yield its fruit, and you shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
20
וארי תימרון מא ניכול בשתא שביעתא הא לא נזרע ולא נכנוש ית עללתנא:
ellthna yth nknwsh wla nzre la ha shbyetha bshtha nykwl ma thymrwn wary
If you said, “What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase;”

ואפקד ית ברכתי לכון בשתא שתיתתא ותעבד ית עללתא לתלת שנין:
shnyn lthlth elltha yth wthebd shthyththa bshtha lkwn brkthy yth wapqd
then I will command my blessing on you in the sixth year, and it shall bear fruit for the three years.
22
ותזרעון ית שתא תמינתא ותיכלון מן עללתא עתיקא עד שתא תשיעתא עד מעל עללתה תיכלון עתיקא:
ethyqa thyklwn ellthh mel ed thshyetha shtha ed ethyqa elltha mn wthyklwn thmyntha shtha yth wthzrewn
You shall sow the eighth year, and eat of the fruits from the old store until the ninth year. Until its fruits come in, you shall eat the old store.
23
וארעא לא תזדבן לחלוטין ארי דילי ארעא ארי דירין ותותבין אתון קדמי:
qdmy athwn wthwthbyn dyryn ary area dyly ary lkhlwTyn thzdbn la warea
“‘The land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine; for you are strangers and live as foreigners with me.

ובכל ארעא אחסנתכון פרקנא תתנון לארעא:
larea ththnwn prqna akhsnthkwn area wbkl
In all the land of your possession you shall grant a redemption for the land.
25
ארי יתמסכן אחוך ויזבן מאחסנתה וייתי פריקיה דקריב ליה ויפרוק ית זביני אחוהי:
akhwhy zbyny yth wyprwq lyh dqryb pryqyh wyythy makhsnthh wyzbn akhwk ythmskn ary
“‘If your brother becomes poor, and sells some of his possessions, then his kinsman who is next to him shall come, and redeem that which his brother has sold.

וגבר ארי לא יהי לה פריק ותדבק ידה וישכח כמסת פרקנה:
prqnh kmsth wyshkkh ydh wthdbq pryq lh yhy la ary wgbr
If a man has no one to redeem it, and he becomes prosperous and finds sufficient means to redeem it,
27
ויחשב ית שני זבינוהי ויתב ית מותרא לגבר די זבן ליה ויתוב לאחסנתה:
lakhsnthh wythwb lyh zbn dy lgbr mwthra yth wythb zbynwhy shny yth wykhshb
then let him reckon the years since its sale, and restore the surplus to the man to whom he sold it; and he shall return to his property.
28
ואם לא תשכח ידה כמסת אתב ליה ויהי זבינוהי בידא דזבן יתיה עד שתא דיובלא ויפוק ביובלא ויתוב לאחסנתיה:
lakhsnthyh wythwb bywbla wypwq dywbla shtha ed ythyh dzbn byda zbynwhy wyhy lyh athb kmsth ydh thshkkh la wam
But if he isn’t able to get it back for himself, then what he has sold shall remain in the hand of him who has bought it until the Year of Jubilee. In the Jubilee it shall be released, and he shall return to his property.
29
וגבר ארי יזבן בית מותב קרתא מקפא שור ותהי פרקניה עד משלם שתא דזבינוהי עדן בעדן תהי פרקניה:
prqnyh thhy bedn edn dzbynwhy shtha mshlm ed prqnyh wthhy shwr mqpa qrtha mwthb byth yzbn ary wgbr
“‘If a man sells a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it has been sold. For a full year he shall have the right of redemption.
30
ואם לא יתפרק עד משלם ליה שתא שלמתא ויקום ביתא די בקרתא די ליה שורא לחלוטין לדי זבן יתיה לדרוהי לא יפוק ביובלא:
bywbla ypwq la ldrwhy ythyh zbn ldy lkhlwTyn shwra lyh dy bqrtha dy bytha wyqwm shlmtha shtha lyh mshlm ed ythprq la wam
If it isn’t redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be made sure in perpetuity to him who bought it, throughout his generations. It shall not be released in the Jubilee.

ובתי פצחיא די לית להון שור מקף סחור סחור על חקל ארעא יתחשב פרקנא תהי ליה וביובלא יפוק:
ypwq wbywbla lyh thhy prqna ythkhshb area khql el skhwr skhwr mqp shwr lhwn lyth dy ptskhya wbthy
But the houses of the villages which have no wall around them shall be accounted for with the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall be released in the Jubilee.
32
וקרוי ליואי בתי קרוי אחסנתהון פרקן עלם תהי לליואי:
llyway thhy elm prqn akhsnthhwn qrwy bthy lyway wqrwy
“‘Nevertheless, in the cities of the Levites, the Levites may redeem the houses in the cities of their possession at any time.
33
ודי יפרוק מן ליואי ויפוק זבין ביתא וקרתא אחסנתיה ביובלא ארי בתי קרוי ליואי היא אחסנתהון בגו בני ישראל:
yshral bny bgw akhsnthhwn hya lyway qrwy bthy ary bywbla akhsnthyh wqrtha bytha zbyn wypwq lyway mn yprwq wdy
The Levites may redeem the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, and it shall be released in the Jubilee; for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.
34
וחקל רוח קרויהון לא יזדבן ארי אחסנת עלם הוא להון:
lhwn hwa elm akhsnth ary yzdbn la qrwyhwn rwkh wkhql
But the field of the pasture lands of their cities may not be sold, for it is their perpetual possession.
35
וארי יתמסכן אחוך ותמוט ידיה עמך ותתקף ביה דיר ותותב ויחי עמך:
emk wykhy wthwthb dyr byh wththqp emk ydyh wthmwT akhwk ythmskn wary
“‘If your brother has become poor, and his hand can’t support himself among you, then you shall uphold him. He shall live with you like an alien and a temporary resident.
36
לא תסב מניה חבוליא ורביתא ותדחל מאלהך ויחי אחוך עמך:
emk akhwk wykhy malhk wthdkhl wrbytha khbwlya mnyh thsb la
Take no interest from him or profit; but fear your God, that your brother may live among you.
37
ית כספך לא תתן ליה בחבוליא וברביתא לא תתן מיכלך:
myklk ththn la wbrbytha bkhbwlya lyh ththn la kspk yth
You shall not lend him your money at interest, nor give him your food for profit.
38
אנא יי אלהכון די אפקית יתכון מארעא דמצרים למתן לכון ית ארעא דכנען למהוי לכון לאלה:
lalh lkwn lmhwy dknen area yth lkwn lmthn dmtsrym marea ythkwn apqyth dy alhkwn yy ana
I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.
39
וארי יתמסכן אחוך עמך ויזדבן לך לא תפלח ביה פלחן עבדין:
ebdyn plkhn byh thplkh la lk wyzdbn emk akhwk ythmskn wary
“‘If your brother has grown poor among you, and sells himself to you, you shall not make him to serve as a slave.
40
כאגירא כתותבא יהי עמך עד שתא דיובלא יפלח עמך:
emk yplkh dywbla shtha ed emk yhy kthwthba kagyra
As a hired servant, and as a temporary resident, he shall be with you; he shall serve with you until the Year of Jubilee.
41
ויפוק מעמך הוא ובנוהי עמיה ויתוב לזרעיתיה ולאחסנת אבהתוהי יתוב:
ythwb abhthwhy wlakhsnth lzreythyh wythwb emyh wbnwhy hwa memk wypwq
Then he shall go out from you, he and his children with him, and shall return to his own family, and to the possession of his fathers.
42
ארי עבדי אנון די אפקית יתהון מארעא דמצרים לא יזדבנון זבון עבדין:
ebdyn zbwn yzdbnwn la dmtsrym marea ythhwn apqyth dy anwn ebdy ary
For they are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. They shall not be sold as slaves.
43
לא תפלח ביה בקשיו ותדחל מאלהך:
malhk wthdkhl bqshyw byh thplkh la
You shall not rule over him with harshness, but shall fear your God.
44
ועבדך ואמתך די יהון לך מן עממיא די בסחרניכון מנהון תקנון עבדין ואמהן:
wamhn ebdyn thqnwn mnhwn bskhrnykwn dy emmya mn lk yhwn dy wamthk webdk
“‘As for your male and your female slaves, whom you may have from the nations that are around you, from them you may buy male and female slaves.

ואף מבני תותביא ערליא דדירין עמכון מנהון תקנון ומזרעיתהון דעמכון די אתילידו בארעכון ויהון לכון לאחסנא:
lakhsna lkwn wyhwn barekwn athylydw dy demkwn wmzreythhwn thqnwn mnhwn emkwn ddyryn erlya thwthbya mbny wap
Moreover, of the children of the aliens who live among you, of them you may buy, and of their families who are with you, which they have conceived in your land; and they will be your property.
46
ותחסנון יתהון לבניכון בתריכון לירותת אחסנא לעלם בהון תפלחון ובאחיכון בני ישראל גבר באחוהי לא תפלח ביה בקשיו:
bqshyw byh thplkh la bakhwhy gbr yshral bny wbakhykwn thplkhwn bhwn lelm akhsna lyrwthth bthrykwn lbnykwn ythhwn wthkhsnwn
You may make them an inheritance for your children after you, to hold for a possession. Of them you may take your slaves forever, but over your brothers the children of Israel you shall not rule, one over another, with harshness.
47
וארי תדבק יד ערל ותותב עמך ויתמסכן אחוך עמיה ויזדבן לערל תותב עמך או לארמי זרעית גיורא:
gywra zreyth larmy aw emk thwthb lerl wyzdbn emyh akhwk wythmskn emk wthwthb erl yd thdbq wary
“‘If an alien or temporary resident with you becomes rich, and your brother beside him has grown poor, and sells himself to the stranger or foreigner living among you, or to a member of the stranger’s family,

בתר דיזדבן פרקנא תהי ליה חד מאחוהי יפרקניה:
yprqnyh makhwhy khd lyh thhy prqna dyzdbn bthr
after he is sold he may be redeemed. One of his brothers may redeem him;
49
או אח אבוהי או בר אח אבוהי יפרקניה או מקריב בשריה מזרעיתיה יפרקניה או דתדבק ידיה ויתפרק:
wythprq ydyh dthdbq aw yprqnyh mzreythyh bshryh mqryb aw yprqnyh abwhy akh br aw abwhy akh aw
or his uncle, or his uncle’s son, may redeem him, or any who is a close relative to him of his family may redeem him; or if he has grown rich, he may redeem himself.

ויחשב עם זבניה משתא דאזדבן ליה עד שתא דיובלא ויהי כסף זבינוהי במנין שניא כיומי אגירא יהי עמיה:
emyh yhy agyra kywmy shnya bmnyn zbynwhy ksp wyhy dywbla shtha ed lyh dazdbn mshtha zbnyh em wykhshb
He shall reckon with him who bought him from the year that he sold himself to him to the Year of Jubilee. The price of his sale shall be according to the number of years; he shall be with him according to the time of a hired servant.
51
אם עוד סגיות בשניא לפומהן יתיב פרקניה מכסף זבינוהי:
zbynwhy mksp prqnyh ythyb lpwmhn bshnya sgywth ewd am
If there are yet many years, according to them he shall give back the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.
52
ואם זער ישתאר בשניא עד שתא דיובלא ויחשב ליה כפום שנוהי יתב ית פרקניה:
prqnyh yth ythb shnwhy kpwm lyh wykhshb dywbla shtha ed bshnya yshthar zer wam
If there remain but a few years to the year of jubilee, then he shall reckon with him; according to his years of service he shall give back the price of his redemption.

כאגיר שנא בשנא יהי עמיה לא יפלח ביה בקשיו לעיניך:
leynyk bqshyw byh yplkh la emyh yhy bshna shna kagyr
As a servant hired year by year shall he be with him. He shall not rule with harshness over him in your sight.
54
ואם לא יתפרק באלין ויפוק בשתא דיובלא הוא ובנוהי עמיה:
emyh wbnwhy hwa dywbla bshtha wypwq balyn ythprq la wam
If he isn’t redeemed by these means, then he shall be released in the Year of Jubilee: he and his children with him.
