ואמר יי למשה אמר לכהניא בני אהרן ותימר להון על מית לא יסתאב בעמיה:
bemyh ysthab la myth el lhwn wthymr ahrn bny lkhnya amr lmshh yy wamr
Yahweh said to Moses, “Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them, ‘A priest shall not defile himself for the dead among his people,

אלהן לקריביה דקריב ליה לאמיה ולאבוהי ולבריה ולברתיה ולאחוהי:
wlakhwhy wlbrthyh wlbryh wlabwhy lamyh lyh dqryb lqrybyh alhn
except for his relatives that are near to him: for his mother, for his father, for his son, for his daughter, for his brother,

ולאחתיה בתלתא דקריבא ליה די לא הות לגבר לה יסתאב:
ysthab lh lgbr hwth la dy lyh dqryba bthltha wlakhthyh
and for his virgin sister who is near to him, who has had no husband; for her he may defile himself.

לא יסתאב רבא בעמיה לאחלותיה:
lakhlwthyh bemyh rba ysthab la
He shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.
5
לא ימרטון מרט ברישהון ופאתא דדקנהון לא יגלחון ובבשרהון לא יחבלון חבול:
khbwl ykhblwn la wbbshrhwn yglkhwn la ddqnhwn wpatha bryshhwn mrT ymrTwn la
“‘They shall not shave their heads or shave off the corners of their beards or make any cuttings in their flesh.

קדישין יהון קדם אלההון ולא יחלון שמא דאלההון ארי ית קרבניא דיי קרבן אלההון אנון מקריבין ויהון קדישין:
qdyshyn wyhwn mqrybyn anwn alhhwn qrbn dyy qrbnya yth ary dalhhwn shma ykhlwn wla alhhwn qdm yhwn qdyshyn
They shall be holy to their God, and not profane the name of their God, for they offer the offerings of Yahweh made by fire, the bread of their God. Therefore they shall be holy.

אתתא מטעיא ומחללא לא יסבון ואתתא דמתרכא מבעלה לא יסבון ארי קדיש הוא קדם אלהיה:
alhyh qdm hwa qdysh ary ysbwn la mbelh dmthrka waththa ysbwn la wmkhlla mTeya aththa
“‘They shall not marry a woman who is a prostitute, or profane. A priest shall not marry a woman divorced from her husband; for he is holy to his God.

ותקדשניה ארי ית קרבן אלהך הוא מקרב קדיש יהי לך ארי קדיש אנא יי מקדשכון:
mqdshkwn yy ana qdysh ary lk yhy qdysh mqrb hwa alhk qrbn yth ary wthqdshnyh
Therefore you shall sanctify him, for he offers the bread of your God. He shall be holy to you, for I Yahweh, who sanctify you, am holy.

ובת גבר כהן ארי תתחל למטעי מקדשת אבוה היא מתחלא בנורא תתוקד:
ththwqd bnwra mthkhla hya abwh mqdshth lmTey ththkhl ary khn gbr wbth
“‘The daughter of any priest, if she profanes herself by playing the prostitute, she profanes her father. She shall be burned with fire.

וכהנא דאתרבא מאחוהי ד יתריק על רישיה משחא דרבותא ודי קריב ית קרבניה למלבש ית לבושיא ית רישיה לא ירבי פרוע ולבושוהי לא יבזע:
ybze la wlbwshwhy prwe yrby la ryshyh yth lbwshya yth lmlbsh qrbnyh yth qryb wdy drbwtha mshkha ryshyh el ythryq d makhwhy dathrba wkhna
“‘He who is the high priest among his brothers, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and who is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head hang loose, or tear his clothes.

ועל כל נפשת מתא לא ייעול לאבוהי ולאמיה לא יסתאב:
ysthab la wlamyh labwhy yyewl la mtha npshth kl wel
He must not go in to any dead body, or defile himself for his father or for his mother.
12
ומין מקדשא לא יפוק ולא יחל ית מקדשא דאלהיה ארי כליל משח רבותא דאלהיה עלוהי אנא יי:
yy ana elwhy dalhyh rbwtha mshkh klyl ary dalhyh mqdsha yth ykhl wla ypwq la mqdsha wmyn
He shall not go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him. I am Yahweh.

ארמלא ומתרכא וחלילא מטעיא ית אלין לא יסב אלהן בתלתא מעמיה יסב אתתא:
aththa ysb memyh bthltha alhn ysb la alyn yth mTeya wkhlyla wmthrka armla
He shall not marry a widow, or one divorced, or a woman who has been defiled, or a prostitute. He shall take a virgin of his own people as a wife.

ולא יחל זרעיה בעמיה ארי אנא יי מקדשיה:
mqdshyh yy ana ary bemyh zreyh ykhl wla
He shall not profane his offspring among his people, for I am Yahweh who sanctifies him.’”
17
מלל עם אהרן למימר גבר מבניך לדריהון די יהי ביה מומא לא יקרב לקרבא קרבנא קדם אלהיה:
alhyh qdm qrbna lqrba yqrb la mwma byh yhy dy ldryhwn mbnyk gbr lmymr ahrn em mll
“Say to Aaron, ‘None of your offspring throughout their generations who has a defect may approach to offer the bread of his God.

ארי כל גבר די ביה מומא לא יקרב גבר עויר או חגיר או חרים או שריע:
shrye aw khrym aw khgyr aw ewyr gbr yqrb la mwma byh dy gbr kl ary
For whatever man he is that has a defect, he shall not draw near: a blind man, or a lame, or he who has a flat nose, or any deformity,

או גבר די יהי ביה תבר רגלא או תבר ידא:
yda thbr aw rgla thbr byh yhy dy gbr aw
or a man who has an injured foot, or an injured hand,
20
או גבין או דקא או חליז בעיניה או גרבן או חזזן או מרס פחדין:
pkhdyn mrs aw khzzn aw grbn aw beynyh khlyz aw dqa aw gbyn aw
or hunchbacked, or a dwarf, or one who has a defect in his eye, or an itching disease, or scabs, or who has damaged testicles.
21
כל גבר די ביה מומא מזרעא דאהרן כהנא לא יקרב לקרבא ית קרבניא דיי מומא ביה ית קרבן אלהיה לא יקרב לקרבא:
lqrba yqrb la alhyh qrbn yth byh mwma dyy qrbnya yth lqrba yqrb la khna dahrn mzrea mwma byh dy gbr kl
No man of the offspring of Aaron the priest who has a defect shall come near to offer the offerings of Yahweh made by fire. Since he has a defect, he shall not come near to offer the bread of his God.
22
קרבן אלהיה מקדש קודשיא ומן קודשיא ייכול:
yykwl qwdshya wmn qwdshya mqdsh alhyh qrbn
He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.
23
ברם לפרכתא לא ייעול ולמדבחא לא יקרב ארי מומא ביה ולא יחל ית מקדשי ארי אנא יי מקדשהון:
mqdshhwn yy ana ary mqdshy yth ykhl wla byh mwma ary yqrb la wlmdbkha yyewl la lprktha brm
He shall not come near to the veil, nor come near to the altar, because he has a defect; that he may not profane my sanctuaries, for I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.’”
