ומליל יי עם משה בתר דמיתו תרין בני אהרן בקרוביהון אשתא נוכריתא קדם יי ומיתו:
wmlyl yy em mshh bthr dmythw thryn bny ahrn bqrwbyhwn ashtha nwkrytha qdm yy wmythw
Yahweh spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they came near before Yahweh, and died;

ואמר יי למשה מלל עם אהרן אחוך ולא יהי עלל בכל עדן לקודשא מגיו לפרכתא לקדם כפרתא די על ארונא ולא ימות ארי בעננא אנא מתגלי על בית כפרתא:
wamr yy lmshh mll em ahrn akhwk wla yhy ell bkl edn lqwdsha mgyw lprktha lqdm kprtha dy el arwna wla ymwth ary benna ana mthgly el byth kprtha
and Yahweh said to Moses, “Tell Aaron your brother not to come at just any time into the Most Holy Place within the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark; lest he die; for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat.

בדא יהי עלל אהרן לקודשא בתור בר תורי לחטאתא ודכר לעלתא:
bda yhy ell ahrn lqwdsha bthwr br thwry lkhTatha wdkr leltha
“Aaron shall come into the sanctuary with a young bull for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

כתונא דבוצא קודשא ילבש ומכנסין דבוץ יהון על בסריה ובהמינא דבוצא יסר ובמצנפתא דבוצא יחת ברישיה לבושי קודשא אנון ויסחי במיא ית בסריה וילבשנון:
kthwna dbwtsa qwdsha ylbsh wmknsyn dbwts yhwn el bsryh wbhmyna dbwtsa ysr wbmtsnptha dbwtsa ykhth bryshyh lbwshy qwdsha anwn wyskhy bmya yth bsryh wylbshnwn
He shall put on the holy linen tunic. He shall have the linen trousers on his body, and shall put on the linen sash, and he shall be clothed with the linen turban. They are the holy garments. He shall bathe his body in water, and put them on.

ומין כנשתא דבני ישראל יסב תרין צפירי עזין לחטאתא ודכר חד לעלתא:
wmyn knshtha dbny yshral ysb thryn tspyry ezyn lkhTatha wdkr khd leltha
He shall take from the congregation of the children of Israel two male goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

ויקרב אהרן ית תורא דחטאתא די ליה ויכפר עלוהי ועל אנש ביתיה:
wyqrb ahrn yth thwra dkhTatha dy lyh wykpr elwhy wel ansh bythyh
“Aaron shall offer the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house.

ויסב ית תרין צפירין ויקים יתהון קדם יי בתרע משכן זמנא:
wysb yth thryn tspyryn wyqym ythhwn qdm yy bthre mshkn zmna
He shall take the two goats, and set them before Yahweh at the door of the Tent of Meeting.
8
ויתן אהרן על תרין צפירין עדבין עדבא חד לשמא דיי ועדבא חד לעזאזל:
wythn ahrn el thryn tspyryn edbyn edba khd lshma dyy wedba khd lezazl
Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats: one lot for Yahweh, and the other lot for the scapegoat.

ויקרב אהרן ית צפירא די סליק עלוהי עדבא לשמא דיי ויעבדניה חטאתא:
wyqrb ahrn yth tspyra dy slyq elwhy edba lshma dyy wyebdnyh khTatha
Aaron shall present the goat on which the lot fell for Yahweh, and offer him for a sin offering.

וצפירא די סליק עלוהי עדבא לעזאזל יתקם כד חי קדם יי לכפרא עלוהי לשלח יתיה לעזאזל למדברא:
wtspyra dy slyq elwhy edba lezazl ythqm kd khy qdm yy lkpra elwhy lshlkh ythyh lezazl lmdbra
But the goat on which the lot fell for the scapegoat shall be presented alive before Yahweh, to make atonement for him, to send him away as the scapegoat into the wilderness.

ויקרב אהרן ית תורא דחטאתא די ליה ויכפר עלוהי ועל אנש ביתיה ויכוס ית תורא דחטאתא די ליה:
wyqrb ahrn yth thwra dkhTatha dy lyh wykpr elwhy wel ansh bythyh wykws yth thwra dkhTatha dy lyh
“Aaron shall present the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall kill the bull of the sin offering which is for himself.

ויסב מלי מחתיתא גומרין דאשא מעלוי מדבחא מן קדם יי ומלי חפנוהי קטורת בוסמין דקיקין ויעל מגיו לפרכתא:
wysb mly mkhthytha gwmryn dasha melwy mdbkha mn qdm yy wmly khpnwhy qTwrth bwsmyn dqyqyn wyel mgyw lprktha
He shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the altar before Yahweh, and two handfuls of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil.

ויתן ית קטורת בוסמיא על אשתא לקדם יי וחפי עננא קטרתא ית כפרתא די על סהדותא ולא ימות:
wythn yth qTwrth bwsmya el ashtha lqdm yy wkhpy enna qTrtha yth kprtha dy el shdwtha wla ymwth
He shall put the incense on the fire before Yahweh, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the covenant, so that he will not die.
14
ויסב מדמא דתורא וידי באצבעיה על אפי כפרתא קדומא ולקדם כפרתא ידי שבע זמנין מן דמא באצבעיה:
wysb mdma dthwra wydy batsbeyh el apy kprtha qdwma wlqdm kprtha ydy shbe zmnyn mn dma batsbeyh
He shall take some of the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.

ויכוס ית צפירא דחטאתא די לעמא ויעל ית דמיה למגיו לפרכתא ויעבד לדמיה כמא די עבד לדמא דתורא וידי יתיה על כפרתא ולקדם כפרתא:
wykws yth tspyra dkhTatha dy lema wyel yth dmyh lmgyw lprktha wyebd ldmyh kma dy ebd ldma dthwra wydy ythyh el kprtha wlqdm kprtha
“Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with his blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat and before the mercy seat.

ויכפר על קודשא מסואבת בני ישראל וממרדיהון לכל חטאיהון וכן יעבד למשכן זמנא דשרי עמהון בגו סואבתהון:
wykpr el qwdsha mswabth bny yshral wmmrdyhwn lkl khTayhwn wkn yebd lmshkn zmna dshry emhwn bgw swabthhwn
He shall make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, even all their sins; and so he shall do for the Tent of Meeting that dwells with them in the middle of their uncleanness.
17
וכל אנש לא יהי במשכן זמנא במעליה לכפרא בקודשא עד מפקיה ויכפר עלוהי ועל אנש ביתיה ועל כל קהלא דישראל:
wkl ansh la yhy bmshkn zmna bmelyh lkpra bqwdsha ed mpqyh wykpr elwhy wel ansh bythyh wel kl qhla dyshral
No one shall be in the Tent of Meeting when he enters to make atonement in the Holy Place, until he comes out, and has made atonement for himself and for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel.

ויפוק למדבחא די קדם יי ויכפר עלוהי ויסב מדמא דתורא ומדמא דצפירא ויתן על קרנת מדבחא סחור סחור:
wypwq lmdbkha dy qdm yy wykpr elwhy wysb mdma dthwra wmdma dtspyra wythn el qrnth mdbkha skhwr skhwr
“He shall go out to the altar that is before Yahweh and make atonement for it, and shall take some of the bull’s blood, and some of the goat’s blood, and put it around on the horns of the altar.
19
וידי עלוהי מן דמא באצבעיה שבע זמנין וידכניה ויקדשניה מסואבת בני ישראל:
wydy elwhy mn dma batsbeyh shbe zmnyn wydknyh wyqdshnyh mswabth bny yshral
He shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and make it holy from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.
20
וישצי מלכפרא על קודשא ועל משכן זמנא ועל מדבחא ויקרב ית צפירא חיא:
wyshtsy mlkpra el qwdsha wel mshkn zmna wel mdbkha wyqrb yth tspyra khya
“When he has finished atoning for the Holy Place, the Tent of Meeting, and the altar, he shall present the live goat.

ויסמוך אהרן ית תרתין ידוהי על ריש צפירא חיא ויודי עלוהי ית כל עוית בני ישראל וית כל מרדיהון לכל חטאיהון ויתן יתהון על ריש צפירא וישלח ביד גבר דזמין למהך למדברא:
wysmwk ahrn yth thrthyn ydwhy el rysh tspyra khya wywdy elwhy yth kl ewyth bny yshral wyth kl mrdyhwn lkl khTayhwn wythn ythhwn el rysh tspyra wyshlkh byd gbr dzmyn lmhk lmdbra
Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, even all their sins; and he shall put them on the head of the goat, and shall send him away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is ready.
22
ויטול צפירא עלוהי ית כל חוביהון לארעא דלא יתבא וישלח ית צפירא במדברא:
wyTwl tspyra elwhy yth kl khwbyhwn larea dla ythba wyshlkh yth tspyra bmdbra
The goat shall carry all their iniquities on himself to a solitary land, and he shall release the goat in the wilderness.
23
וייעול אהרן למשכן זמנא וישלח ית לבושי בוצא די לבש במעליה לקודשא ויצנענון תמן:
wyyewl ahrn lmshkn zmna wyshlkh yth lbwshy bwtsa dy lbsh bmelyh lqwdsha wytsnenwn thmn
“Aaron shall come into the Tent of Meeting, and shall take off the linen garments which he put on when he went into the Holy Place, and shall leave them there.
24
ויסחי ית בסריה במיא באתר קדיש וילבש ית לבושוהי ויפוק ויעבד ית עלתיה וית עלת עמא ויכפר עלוהי ועל עמא:
wyskhy yth bsryh bmya bathr qdysh wylbsh yth lbwshwhy wypwq wyebd yth elthyh wyth elth ema wykpr elwhy wel ema
Then he shall bathe himself in water in a holy place, put on his garments, and come out and offer his burnt offering and the burnt offering of the people, and make atonement for himself and for the people.
25
וית תרבא דחטאתא יסק למדבחא:
wyth thrba dkhTatha ysq lmdbkha
The fat of the sin offering he shall burn on the altar.
26
ודמוביל ית צפירא לעזאזל יצבע לבושוהי ויסחי ית בסריה במיא ובתר כן ייעול למשריתא:
wdmwbyl yth tspyra lezazl ytsbe lbwshwhy wyskhy yth bsryh bmya wbthr kn yyewl lmshrytha
“He who lets the goat go as the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.
27
וית תורא דחטאתא וית צפירא דחטאתא די אתעל מדמהון לכפרא בקודשא יתפקון למברא למשריתא ויוקדון בנורא ית משכיהון וית בסרהון וית אכליהון:
wyth thwra dkhTatha wyth tspyra dkhTatha dy athel mdmhwn lkpra bqwdsha ythpqwn lmbra lmshrytha wywqdwn bnwra yth mshkyhwn wyth bsrhwn wyth aklyhwn
The bull for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be carried outside the camp; and they shall burn their skins, their flesh, and their dung with fire.
28
ודמוקיד יתהון יצבע לבושוהי ויסחי ית בסריה במיא ובתר כן ייעול למשריתא:
wdmwqyd ythhwn ytsbe lbwshwhy wyskhy yth bsryh bmya wbthr kn yyewl lmshrytha
He who burns them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.
29
ותהי לכון לקים עלם בירחא שביעאה בעשרא לירחא תענון ית נפשתיכון וכל עבידא לא תעבדון יציבא וגיורא דיתגירון ביניכון:
wthhy lkwn lqym elm byrkha shbyeah beshra lyrkha thenwn yth npshthykwn wkl ebyda la thebdwn ytsyba wgywra dythgyrwn bynykwn
“It shall be a statute to you forever: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and shall do no kind of work, whether native-born or a stranger who lives as a foreigner among you;
30
ארי ביומא הדין יכפר עליכון לדכאה יתכון מכל חוביכון קדם יי תדכון:
ary bywma hdyn ykpr elykwn ldkah ythkwn mkl khwbykwn qdm yy thdkwn
for on this day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you. You shall be clean from all your sins before Yahweh.
31
שבת שבתא היא לכון ותענון ית נפשתיכון קים עלם:
shbth shbtha hya lkwn wthenwn yth npshthykwn qym elm
It is a Sabbath of solemn rest to you, and you shall afflict your souls. It is a statute forever.
32
ויכפר כהנא די רבי יתיה ודי יקרב ית קרבניה לשמשא תחות אבוהי וילבש ית לבושי בוצא לבושי קודשא:
wykpr khna dy rby ythyh wdy yqrb yth qrbnyh lshmsha thkhwth abwhy wylbsh yth lbwshy bwtsa lbwshy qwdsha
The priest, who is anointed and who is consecrated to be priest in his father’s place, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, even the holy garments.
33
ויכפר על מקדש קודשא ועל משכן זמנא ועל מדבחא יכפר ועל כהניא ועל כל עמא דקהלא יכפר:
wykpr el mqdsh qwdsha wel mshkn zmna wel mdbkha ykpr wel khnya wel kl ema dqhla ykpr
Then he shall make atonement for the Holy Sanctuary; and he shall make atonement for the Tent of Meeting and for the altar; and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly.
34
ותהי דא לכון לקים עלם לכפרא על בני ישראל מכל חוביהון חדא בשתא ועבד כמא די פקיד יי ית משה:
wthhy da lkwn lqym elm lkpra el bny yshral mkl khwbyhwn khda bshtha webd kma dy pqyd yy yth mshh
“This shall be an everlasting statute for you, to make atonement for the children of Israel once in the year because of all their sins.” It was done as Yahweh commanded Moses.
