דא תהי אוריתא דסגירא ביומא דדכותיה ויתתי לות כהנא:

“This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought to the priest,

ויפוק כהנא למברא למשריתא ויחזי כהנא והא אתסי מכתש סגירותא מן סגירא:
wypwq khna lmbra lmshrytha wykhzy khna wha athsy mkthsh sgyrwtha mn sgyra
and the priest shall go out of the camp. The priest shall examine him. Behold, if the plague of leprosy is healed in the leper,

ויפקד כהנא ויסב למדכי תרתין צפרין חיין דכין ואעא דארזא וצבע זהורי ואזובא:
wypqd khna wysb lmdky thrthyn tspryn khyyn dkyn waea darza wtsbe zhwry wazwba
then the priest shall command them to take for him who is to be cleansed two living clean birds, cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop.

ויפקד כהנא ויכוס ית צפרא חדא למאן דחסף על מי מבוע:
wypqd khna wykws yth tspra khda lman dkhsp el my mbwe
The priest shall command them to kill one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water.

ית צפרא חיתא יסב יתה וית אעא דארזא וית צבע זהורי וית אזובא ויטבול יתהון וית צפרא חיתא בדמא דצפרא דנכיסא על מי מבוע:
yth tspra khytha ysb ythh wyth aea darza wyth tsbe zhwry wyth azwba wyTbwl ythhwn wyth tspra khytha bdma dtspra dnkysa el my mbwe
As for the living bird, he shall take it, the cedar wood, the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water.

וידי על דמדכי מן סגירותא שבע זמנין וידכניה וישלח ית צפרא חיתא על אפי חקלא:
wydy el dmdky mn sgyrwtha shbe zmnyn wydknyh wyshlkh yth tspra khytha el apy khqla
He shall sprinkle on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird go into the open field.

ויצבע דמדכי ית לבושוהי ויגלח ית כל שעריה ויסחי במיא וידכי ובתר כן יעול למשריתא ויתב מברא למשכניה שבעא יומין:
wytsbe dmdky yth lbwshwhy wyglkh yth kl sheryh wyskhy bmya wydky wbthr kn yewl lmshrytha wythb mbra lmshknyh shbea ywmyn
“He who is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and bathe himself in water; and he shall be clean. After that he shall come into the camp, but shall dwell outside his tent seven days.

ויהי ביומא שביעאה יגלח ית כל שעריה ית רישיה וית דקניה וית גביני עינוהי וית כל שעריה יגלח ויצבע ית לבושוהי ויסחי ית בסריה במיא וידכי:
wyhy bywma shbyeah yglkh yth kl sheryh yth ryshyh wyth dqnyh wyth gbyny eynwhy wyth kl sheryh yglkh wytsbe yth lbwshwhy wyskhy yth bsryh bmya wydky
It shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows. He shall shave off all his hair. He shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his body in water. Then he shall be clean.

וביומא תמינאה יסב תרין אמרין שלמין ואמרתא חדא בת שתא שלמתא ותלתא עסרונין סלתא מנחתא דפילא במשח ולגא חד דמשחא:
wbywma thmynah ysb thryn amryn shlmyn wamrtha khda bth shtha shlmtha wthltha esrwnyn sltha mnkhtha dpyla bmshkh wlga khd dmshkha
“On the eighth day he shall take two male lambs without defect, one ewe lamb a year old without defect, three tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering, mixed with oil, and one log of oil.

ויקים כהנא דמדכי ית גברא דמדכי ויתהון קדם יי בתרע משכן זמנא:
wyqym khna dmdky yth gbra dmdky wythhwn qdm yy bthre mshkn zmna
The priest who cleanses him shall set the man who is to be cleansed, and those things, before Yahweh, at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

ויסב כהנא ית אמרא חדא ויקרב יתיה לאשמא וית לגא דמשחא וירים יתהון ארמא קדם יי:
wysb khna yth amra khda wyqrb ythyh lashma wyth lga dmshkha wyrym ythhwn arma qdm yy
“The priest shall take one of the male lambs, and offer him for a trespass offering, with the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before Yahweh.

ויכוס ית אמרא באתר די יכוס ית חטאתא וית עלתא באתר קדיש ארי כחטאתא אשמא הוא לכהנא קדש קודשין הוא:
wykws yth amra bathr dy ykws yth khTatha wyth eltha bathr qdysh ary kkhTatha ashma hwa lkhna qdsh qwdshyn hwa
He shall kill the male lamb in the place where they kill the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the place of the sanctuary; for as the sin offering is the priest’s, so is the trespass offering. It is most holy.

ויסב כהנא מדמא דאשמא ויתן כהנא על רום אודנא דמדכי דימינא ועל אליון ידיה דימינא ועל אליון רגליה דימינא:
wysb khna mdma dashma wythn khna el rwm awdna dmdky dymyna wel alywn ydyh dymyna wel alywn rglyh dymyna
The priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

ויסב כהנא מלגא דמשחא ויריק על ידא דכהנא דשמאלא:
wysb khna mlga dmshkha wyryq el yda dkhna dshmala
The priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.
16
ויטבול כהנא ית אצבעיה דימינא מן משחא די על ידיה דשמאלא וידי מן משחא באצבעיה שבע זמנין קדם יי:
wyTbwl khna yth atsbeyh dymyna mn mshkha dy el ydyh dshmala wydy mn mshkha batsbeyh shbe zmnyn qdm yy
The priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle some of the oil with his finger seven times before Yahweh.

ומשאר משחא די על ידיה יתן כהנא על רום אודנא דמדכי דימינא ועל אליון ידיה דימינא ועל אליון רגליה דימינא על דמא דאשמא:
wmshar mshkha dy el ydyh ythn khna el rwm awdna dmdky dymyna wel alywn ydyh dymyna wel alywn rglyh dymyna el dma dashma
The priest shall put some of the rest of the oil that is in his hand on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering.

ודאשתאר במשחא די על ידא דכהנא יתן על רישא דמדכי ויכפר עלוהי כהנא קדם יי:
wdashthar bmshkha dy el yda dkhna ythn el rysha dmdky wykpr elwhy khna qdm yy
The rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, and the priest shall make atonement for him before Yahweh.

ויעבד כהנא ית חטאתא ויכפר על דמדכי מסובתיה ובתר כן יכוס ית עלתא:
wyebd khna yth khTatha wykpr el dmdky mswbthyh wbthr kn ykws yth eltha
“The priest shall offer the sin offering, and make atonement for him who is to be cleansed because of his uncleanness. Afterward he shall kill the burnt offering;

ויסק כהנא ית עלתא וית מנחתא למדבחא ויכפר עלוהי כהנא וידכי:
wysq khna yth eltha wyth mnkhtha lmdbkha wykpr elwhy khna wydky
then the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meal offering on the altar. The priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

ואם מסכן הוא ולית ידיה מדבקא ויסב אמר חד אשמא לארמא לכפרא עלוהי ועסרונא סלתא חד דפיל במשח למנחא ולגא דמשחא:
wam mskn hwa wlyth ydyh mdbqa wysb amr khd ashma larma lkpra elwhy wesrwna sltha khd dpyl bmshkh lmnkha wlga dmshkha
“If he is poor, and can’t afford so much, then he shall take one male lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, and one tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil for a meal offering, and a log of oil;

ותרתין שפנינין או תרין בני יונה די תדבק ידיה ויהי חד חטאתא וחד עלתא:
wthrthyn shpnynyn aw thryn bny ywnh dy thdbq ydyh wyhy khd khTatha wkhd eltha
and two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to afford; and the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.

וייתי יתהון ביומא תמינאה לדכיותיה לות כהנא לתרע משכן זמנא קדם יי:
wyythy ythhwn bywma thmynah ldkywthyh lwth khna lthre mshkn zmna qdm yy
“On the eighth day he shall bring them for his cleansing to the priest, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, before Yahweh.

ויסב כהנא ית אמרא דאשמא וית לגא דמשחא וירים יתהון כהנא ארמא קדם יי:
wysb khna yth amra dashma wyth lga dmshkha wyrym ythhwn khna arma qdm yy
The priest shall take the lamb of the trespass offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before Yahweh.

ויכוס ית אמרא דאשמא ויסב כהנא מדמא דאשמא ויתן על רום אודנא דמדכי דימינא ועל אליון ידיה דימינא ועל אליון רגליה דימינא:
wykws yth amra dashma wysb khna mdma dashma wythn el rwm awdna dmdky dymyna wel alywn ydyh dymyna wel alywn rglyh dymyna
He shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering. The priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering and put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.
26
ומן משחא יריק כהנא על ידא דכהנא דשמאלא:
wmn mshkha yryq khna el yda dkhna dshmala
The priest shall pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand;
27
וידי כהנא באצבעיה דימינא מן משחא די על ידיה דשמאלא שבע זמנין קדם יי:
wydy khna batsbeyh dymyna mn mshkha dy el ydyh dshmala shbe zmnyn qdm yy
and the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before Yahweh.

ויתן כהנא מן משחא די על ידיה על רום אודנא דמדכי דימינא ועל אליון ידיה דימינא ועל אליון רגליה דימינא על אתר דמא דאשמא:
wythn khna mn mshkha dy el ydyh el rwm awdna dmdky dymyna wel alywn ydyh dymyna wel alywn rglyh dymyna el athr dma dashma
Then the priest shall put some of the oil that is in his hand on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the trespass offering.

ודישתאר מן משחא די על ידא דכהנא יתן על רישא דמדכי לכפרא עלוהי קדם יי:
wdyshthar mn mshkha dy el yda dkhna ythn el rysha dmdky lkpra elwhy qdm yy
The rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before Yahweh.
30
ויעבד ית חד מן שפניניא או מן בני יונה מדי תדבק ידיה:
wyebd yth khd mn shpnynya aw mn bny ywnh mdy thdbq ydyh
He shall offer one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, which ever he is able to afford,
31
ית די תדבק ידיה ית חד חטאתא וית חד עלתא על מנחתא ויכפר כהנא על דמדכי קדם יי:
yth dy thdbq ydyh yth khd khTatha wyth khd eltha el mnkhtha wykpr khna el dmdky qdm yy
of the kind he is able to afford, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meal offering. The priest shall make atonement for him who is to be cleansed before Yahweh.”

דא אוריתא די ביה מכתש סגירו די לא תדבק ידיה בדכותיה:
da awrytha dy byh mkthsh sgyrw dy la thdbq ydyh bdkwthyh
This is the law for him in whom is the plague of leprosy, who is not able to afford the sacrifice for his cleansing.
33
ומליל יי עם משה ועם אהרן למימר:
wmlyl yy em mshh wem ahrn lmymr
Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
34
ארי תעלון לארעא דכנען די אנא יהב לכון לאחסנא ואתן מכתש סגירו בבית ארעא אחסנתכון:
ary thelwn larea dknen dy ana yhb lkwn lakhsna wathn mkthsh sgyrw bbyth area akhsnthkwn
“When you have come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put a spreading mildew in a house in the land of your possession,
35
וייתי דדיליה ביתא ויחוי לכהנא למימר כמכתשא אתחזי לי בביתא:
wyythy ddylyh bytha wykhwy lkhna lmymr kmkthsha athkhzy ly bbytha
then he who owns the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, ‘There seems to me to be some sort of plague in the house.’
36
ויפקד כהנא ויפנון ית ביתא עד לא יעול כהנא למחזי ית מכתשא ולא יסתאב כל די בביתא ובתר כן יעול כהנא למחזי ית ביתא:
wypqd khna wypnwn yth bytha ed la yewl khna lmkhzy yth mkthsha wla ysthab kl dy bbytha wbthr kn yewl khna lmkhzy yth bytha
The priest shall command that they empty the house, before the priest goes in to examine the plague, that all that is in the house not be made unclean. Afterward the priest shall go in to inspect the house.
37
ויחזי ית מכתשא והא מכתשא בכתלי ביתא פחתין ירקן או סמקן ומחזיהון מכיך מן כתלא:
wykhzy yth mkthsha wha mkthsha bkthly bytha pkhthyn yrqn aw smqn wmkhzyhwn mkyk mn kthla
He shall examine the plague; and behold, if the plague is in the walls of the house with hollow streaks, greenish or reddish, and it appears to be deeper than the wall,

ויפוק כהנא מן ביתא לתרע ביתא ויסגר ית ביתא שבעא יומין:
wypwq khna mn bytha lthre bytha wysgr yth bytha shbea ywmyn
then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days.
39
ויתוב כהנא ביומא שביעאה ויחזי והא אוסיף מכתשא בכתלי ביתא:
wythwb khna bywma shbyeah wykhzy wha awsyp mkthsha bkthly bytha
The priest shall come again on the seventh day, and look. If the plague has spread in the walls of the house,
40
ויפקד כהנא וישלפון ית אבניא די בהון מכתשא וירמון יתהון למברא לקרתא לאתר מסאב:
wypqd khna wyshlpwn yth abnya dy bhwn mkthsha wyrmwn ythhwn lmbra lqrtha lathr msab
then the priest shall command that they take out the stones in which is the plague, and cast them into an unclean place outside of the city.
41
וית ביתא יקלפון מגיו סחור סחור וירמון ית עפרא די קליפו למברא לקרתא לאתר מסאב:
wyth bytha yqlpwn mgyw skhwr skhwr wyrmwn yth epra dy qlypw lmbra lqrtha lathr msab
He shall cause the inside of the house to be scraped all over. They shall pour out the mortar that they scraped off outside of the city into an unclean place.
42
ויסבון אבניא אחרנין ויעלון לאתר אבניא ועפר אחרן יסב וישוע ית ביתא:
wysbwn abnya akhrnyn wyelwn lathr abnya wepr akhrn ysb wyshwe yth bytha
They shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other mortar, and shall plaster the house.
43
ואם יתוב מכתשא ויסגי בביתא בתר דשליפו ית אבניא ובתר דקליפו ית ביתא ובתר דאתשע:
wam ythwb mkthsha wysgy bbytha bthr dshlypw yth abnya wbthr dqlypw yth bytha wbthr dathshe
“If the plague comes again, and breaks out in the house after he has taken out the stones, and after he has scraped the house, and after it was plastered,
44
וייעול כהנא ויחזי והא אוסף מכתשא בביתא סגירות מחסרא היא בביתא מסאב הוא:
wyyewl khna wykhzy wha awsp mkthsha bbytha sgyrwth mkhsra hya bbytha msab hwa
then the priest shall come in and look; and behold, if the plague has spread in the house, it is a destructive mildew in the house. It is unclean.
45
ויתרע ית ביתא ית אבנוהי וית אעוהי וית כל עפר ביתא ויפק למברא לקרתא לאתר מסאב:
wythre yth bytha yth abnwhy wyth aewhy wyth kl epr bytha wypq lmbra lqrtha lathr msab
He shall break down the house, its stones, and its timber, and all the house’s mortar. He shall carry them out of the city into an unclean place.
46
ודייעול לביתא כל יומין דיסגר יתיה יהי מסאב עד רמשא:
wdyyewl lbytha kl ywmyn dysgr ythyh yhy msab ed rmsha
“Moreover he who goes into the house while it is shut up shall be unclean until the evening.
47
ודישכוב בביתא יצבע ית לבושוהי ודייכול בביתא יצבע ית לבושוהי:
wdyshkwb bbytha ytsbe yth lbwshwhy wdyykwl bbytha ytsbe yth lbwshwhy
He who lies down in the house shall wash his clothes; and he who eats in the house shall wash his clothes.
48
ואם מעל ייעול כהנא ויחזי והא לא אוסף מכתשא בביתא בתר דאתשע ית ביתא וידכי כהנא ית ביתא ארי אתסי מכתשא:
wam mel yyewl khna wykhzy wha la awsp mkthsha bbytha bthr dathshe yth bytha wydky khna yth bytha ary athsy mkthsha
“If the priest shall come in, and examine it, and behold, the plague hasn’t spread in the house, after the house was plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.

ויסב לדכאה ית ביתא תרתין צפרין ואעא דארזא וצבע זהורי ואזובא:
wysb ldkah yth bytha thrthyn tspryn waea darza wtsbe zhwry wazwba
To cleanse the house he shall take two birds, cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop.

ויכוס ית צפרא חדא למאן דחסף על מי מבוע:
wykws yth tspra khda lman dkhsp el my mbwe
He shall kill one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water.
51
ויסב ית אעא דארזא וית אזובא וית צבע זהורי וית צפרא חיתא ויטבול יתהון בדמא דצפרא דנכיסא ובמי מבוע וידי לביתא שבע זמנין:
wysb yth aea darza wyth azwba wyth tsbe zhwry wyth tspra khytha wyTbwl ythhwn bdma dtspra dnkysa wbmy mbwe wydy lbytha shbe zmnyn
He shall take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times.
52
וידכי ית ביתא בדמא דצפרא ובמי מבוע ובצפרא חיתא ובאעא דארזא ובאזובא ובצבע זהורי:
wydky yth bytha bdma dtspra wbmy mbwe wbtspra khytha wbaea darza wbazwba wbtsbe zhwry
He shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, with the living bird, with the cedar wood, with the hyssop, and with the scarlet;

וישלח ית צפרא חיתא למברא לקרתא לאפי חקלא ויכפר על ביתא וידכי:
wyshlkh yth tspra khytha lmbra lqrtha lapy khqla wykpr el bytha wydky
but he shall let the living bird go out of the city into the open field. So shall he make atonement for the house; and it shall be clean.”

דא אוריתא לכל מכתש סגירותא ולנתקא:
da awrytha lkl mkthsh sgyrwtha wlnthqa
This is the law for any plague of leprosy, and for an itch,

ולסגירות לבושא ולביתא:
wlsgyrwth lbwsha wlbytha
and for the destructive mildew of a garment, and for a house,
56
ולעמקא ולעדיא ולבהרא:
wlemqa wledya wlbhra
and for a swelling, and for a scab, and for a bright spot;
57
לאלפא ביומא מסאבא וביומא דכיא דא אוריתא דסגירותא:
lalpa bywma msaba wbywma dkya da awrytha dsgyrwtha
to teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean. This is the law of leprosy.
