Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

אנש ארי יהי במשך בסריה עמקא או עדיא או בהרא ויהי במשך בסריה למכתש סגירו ויתתי לות אהרן כהנא או לות חד מבנוהי כהניא:
ansh ary yhy bmshk bsryh emqa aw edya aw bhra wyhy bmshk bsryh lmkthsh sgyrw wyththy lwth ahrn khna aw lwth khd mbnwhy khnya
“When a man shall have a swelling in his body’s skin, or a scab, or a bright spot, and it becomes in the skin of his body the plague of leprosy, then he shall be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his sons, the priests.

ויחזי כהנא ית מכתשא במשך בסרא ושער במכתשא אתהפיך למחור ומחזי מכתשא עמיק במשך בסריה מכתש סגירותא הוא ויחזניה כהנא ויסאב יתיה:
wykhzy khna yth mkthsha bmshk bsra wsher bmkthsha athhpyk lmkhwr wmkhzy mkthsha emyq bmshk bsryh mkthsh sgyrwtha hwa wykhznyh khna wysab ythyh
The priest shall examine the plague in the skin of the body. If the hair in the plague has turned white, and the appearance of the plague is deeper than the body’s skin, it is the plague of leprosy; so the priest shall examine him and pronounce him unclean.

ואם בהרא חורא היא במשך בסריה ועמיק לית מחזהא מן משכא ושערא לא אתהפיך למחור ויסגר כהנא ית מכתשא שבעא יומין:
wam bhra khwra hya bmshk bsryh wemyq lyth mkhzha mn mshka wshera la athhpyk lmkhwr wysgr khna yth mkthsha shbea ywmyn
If the bright spot is white in the skin of his body, and its appearance isn’t deeper than the skin, and its hair hasn’t turned white, then the priest shall isolate the infected person for seven days.

ויחזניה כהנא ביומא שביעאה והא מכתשא קם כד הוה לא אוסף מכתשא במשכא ויסגרניה כהנא שבעא יומין תנינות:
wykhznyh khna bywma shbyeah wha mkthsha qm kd hwh la awsp mkthsha bmshka wysgrnyh khna shbea ywmyn thnynwth
The priest shall examine him on the seventh day. Behold, if in his eyes the plague is arrested and the plague hasn’t spread in the skin, then the priest shall isolate him for seven more days.

ויחזי כהנא יתיה ביומא שביעאה תנינות והא עמיא מכתשא ולא אוסף מכתשא במשכא וידכניה כהנא עדיתא היא ויצבע לבושוהי וידכי:
wykhzy khna ythyh bywma shbyeah thnynwth wha emya mkthsha wla awsp mkthsha bmshka wydknyh khna edytha hya wytsbe lbwshwhy wydky
The priest shall examine him again on the seventh day. Behold, if the plague has faded and the plague hasn’t spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean. It is a scab. He shall wash his clothes, and be clean.

ואם אוספא תוסף עדיתא במשכא בתר דאתחזי לכהנא לדכותיה ויתחזי תנינות לכהנא:
wam awspa thwsp edytha bmshka bthr dathkhzy lkhna ldkwthyh wythkhzy thnynwth lkhna
But if the scab spreads on the skin after he has shown himself to the priest for his cleansing, he shall show himself to the priest again.

ויחזי כהנא והא אוספת עדיתא במשכא ויסאבניה כהנא סגירותא היא:
wykhzy khna wha awspth edytha bmshka wysabnyh khna sgyrwtha hya
The priest shall examine him; and behold, if the scab has spread on the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is leprosy.

מכתש סגירו ארי תהי באנשא ויתתי לות כהנא:
mkthsh sgyrw ary thhy bansha wyththy lwth khna
“When the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought to the priest;
10
ויחזי כהנא והא עמקא חורא במשכא והיא הפכת שער לחור ורשם בסרא חיתא בעמקתא:
wykhzy khna wha emqa khwra bmshka whya hpkth sher lkhwr wrshm bsra khytha bemqtha
and the priest shall examine him. Behold, if there is a white swelling in the skin, and it has turned the hair white, and there is raw flesh in the swelling,

סגירות עתיקא היא במשך בסריה ויסאבניה כהנא לא יסגרניה ארי מסאב הוא:
sgyrwth ethyqa hya bmshk bsryh wysabnyh khna la ysgrnyh ary msab hwa
it is a chronic leprosy in the skin of his body, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean. He shall not isolate him, for he is already unclean.

ואם מסגא תסגי סגירותא במשכא ותחפי סגירותא ית כל משך מכתשא מרישיה ועד רגלוהי לכל חיזו עיני כהנא:
wam msga thsgy sgyrwtha bmshka wthkhpy sgyrwtha yth kl mshk mkthsha mryshyh wed rglwhy lkl khyzw eyny khna
“If the leprosy breaks out all over the skin, and the leprosy covers all the skin of the infected person from his head even to his feet, as far as it appears to the priest,

ויחזי כהנא והא חפת סגירותא ית כל בסריה וידכי ית מכתשא כליה אתהפיך למחור דכי הוא:
wykhzy khna wha khpth sgyrwtha yth kl bsryh wydky yth mkthsha klyh athhpyk lmkhwr dky hwa
then the priest shall examine him. Behold, if the leprosy has covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce him clean of the plague. It has all turned white: he is clean.

וביומא דאתחזי ביה בסרא חיא יהי מסאב:
wbywma dathkhzy byh bsra khya yhy msab
But whenever raw flesh appears in him, he shall be unclean.
15
ויחזי כהנא ית בסרא חיא ויסאבניה בסרא חיא מסאב הוא סגירות הוא:
wykhzy khna yth bsra khya wysabnyh bsra khya msab hwa sgyrwth hwa
The priest shall examine the raw flesh, and pronounce him unclean: the raw flesh is unclean. It is leprosy.
16
או ארי יתוב בסרא חיא ויתהפיך למחור ויתתי לות כהנא:
aw ary ythwb bsra khya wythhpyk lmkhwr wyththy lwth khna
Or if the raw flesh turns again, and is changed to white, then he shall come to the priest.
17
ויחזניה כהנא והא אתהפיך מכתשא למחור וידכי כהנא ית מכתשא דכי הוא:
wykhznyh khna wha athhpyk mkthsha lmkhwr wydky khna yth mkthsha dky hwa
The priest shall examine him. Behold, if the plague has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him clean of the plague. He is clean.

ובסרא ארי יהי ביה במשכיה שחנא ויתסי:
wbsra ary yhy byh bmshkyh shkhna wythsy
“When the body has a boil on its skin, and it has healed,
19
ויהי באתר שחנא עמקא חורא או בהרא חורא סמקא ויתחזי לכהנא:
wyhy bathr shkhna emqa khwra aw bhra khwra smqa wythkhzy lkhna
and in the place of the boil there is a white swelling, or a bright spot, reddish-white, then it shall be shown to the priest.
20
ויחזי כהנא והא מחזהא מכיך מן משכא ושערה אתהפיך למחור ויסאביניה כהנא מכתש סגירותא היא בשחנא סגיאת:
wykhzy khna wha mkhzha mkyk mn mshka wsherh athhpyk lmkhwr wysabynyh khna mkthsh sgyrwtha hya bshkhna sgyath
The priest shall examine it. Behold, if its appearance is deeper than the skin, and its hair has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy. It has broken out in the boil.
21
ואם יחזנה כהנא והא לית בה שער חור ומכיכא ליתהא מן משכא והיא עמיא ויסגרניה כהנא שבעא יומין:
wam ykhznh khna wha lyth bh sher khwr wmkyka lythha mn mshka whya emya wysgrnyh khna shbea ywmyn
But if the priest examines it, and behold, there are no white hairs in it, and it isn’t deeper than the skin, but is dim, then the priest shall isolate him seven days.
22
ואם אוספא תוסף במשכא ויסאב כהנא יתיה מכתשא היא:
wam awspa thwsp bmshka wysab khna ythyh mkthsha hya
If it spreads in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is a plague.
23
ואם באתרהא קמת בהרתא לא אוספת רשם שחנא היא וידכניה כהנא:
wam bathrha qmth bhrtha la awspth rshm shkhna hya wydknyh khna
But if the bright spot stays in its place, and hasn’t spread, it is the scar from the boil; and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

או בסרא ארי יהי במשכיה כואה דנור ותהי רשם כואה בהרא חורא סמקא או חורא:
aw bsra ary yhy bmshkyh kwah dnwr wthhy rshm kwah bhra khwra smqa aw khwra
“Or when the body has a burn from fire on its skin, and the raw flesh of the burn becomes a bright spot, reddish-white, or white,

ויחזי יתה כהנא והא אתהפיך שער חור בבהרתא ומחזהא עמיק מן משכא סגירותא היא בכואה סגיאה ויסאב יתיה כהנא מכתש סגירותא היא:
wykhzy ythh khna wha athhpyk sher khwr bbhrtha wmkhzha emyq mn mshka sgyrwtha hya bkwah sgyah wysab ythyh khna mkthsh sgyrwtha hya
then the priest shall examine it; and behold, if the hair in the bright spot has turned white, and its appearance is deeper than the skin, it is leprosy. It has broken out in the burning, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy.
26
ואם יחזנה כהנא והא לית בבהרתא שער חור ומכיכא ליתהא מן משכא והיא עמיא ויסגרניה כהנא שבעא יומין:
wam ykhznh khna wha lyth bbhrtha sher khwr wmkyka lythha mn mshka whya emya wysgrnyh khna shbea ywmyn
But if the priest examines it, and behold, there is no white hair in the bright spot, and it isn’t deeper than the skin, but has faded, then the priest shall isolate him seven days.
27
ויחזניה כהנא ביומא שביעאה אם אוספא תוסף במשכא ויסאב כהנא יתיה מכתש סגירותא היא:
wykhznyh khna bywma shbyeah am awspa thwsp bmshka wysab khna ythyh mkthsh sgyrwtha hya
The priest shall examine him on the seventh day. If it has spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy.
28
ואם באתרהא קמת בהרתא לא אוספת במשכא והיא עמיא עמק כואה היא וידכניה כהנא ארי רשם כואה היא:
wam bathrha qmth bhrtha la awspth bmshka whya emya emq kwah hya wydknyh khna ary rshm kwah hya
If the bright spot stays in its place, and hasn’t spread in the skin, but is faded, it is the swelling from the burn, and the priest shall pronounce him clean, for it is the scar from the burn.
29
וגבר או אתתא ארי יהי ביה מכתשא ברישא או בדקן:
wgbr aw aththa ary yhy byh mkthsha brysha aw bdqn
“When a man or woman has a plague on the head or on the beard,
30
ויחזי כהנא ית מכתשא והא מחזוהי עמיק מן משכא וביה שער סמק דעדק ויסאב יתיה כהנא נתקא הוא סגירות רישא או דקנא הוא:
wykhzy khna yth mkthsha wha mkhzwhy emyq mn mshka wbyh sher smq dedq wysab ythyh khna nthqa hwa sgyrwth rysha aw dqna hwa
then the priest shall examine the plague; and behold, if its appearance is deeper than the skin, and the hair in it is yellow and thin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is an itch. It is leprosy of the head or of the beard.
31
וארי יחזי כהנא ית מכתש נתקא והא לית מחזוהי עמיק מן משכא ושער אכם לית ביה ויסגר כהנא ית מכתש נתקא שבעת יומין:
wary ykhzy khna yth mkthsh nthqa wha lyth mkhzwhy emyq mn mshka wsher akm lyth byh wysgr khna yth mkthsh nthqa shbeth ywmyn
If the priest examines the plague of itching, and behold, its appearance isn’t deeper than the skin, and there is no black hair in it, then the priest shall isolate the person infected with itching seven days.
32
ויחזי כהנא ית מכתשא ביומא שביעאה והא לא אוסף נתקא ולא הוה ביה שער סמק ומחזי נתקא לית עמיק מן משכא:
wykhzy khna yth mkthsha bywma shbyeah wha la awsp nthqa wla hwh byh sher smq wmkhzy nthqa lyth emyq mn mshka
On the seventh day the priest shall examine the plague; and behold, if the itch hasn’t spread, and there is no yellow hair in it, and the appearance of the itch isn’t deeper than the skin,
33
ויגלח סחרני נתקא ודעם נתקא לא יגלח ויסגר כהנא ית נתקא שבעא יומין תנינות:
wyglkh skhrny nthqa wdem nthqa la yglkh wysgr khna yth nthqa shbea ywmyn thnynwth
then he shall be shaved, but he shall not shave the itch. Then the priest shall isolate the one who has the itch seven more days.
34
ויחזי כהנא ית נתקא ביומא שביעאה והא לא אוסף נתקא במשכא ומחזוהי ליתוהי עמיק מן משכא וידכי יתיה כהנא ויצבע לבושוהי וידכי:
wykhzy khna yth nthqa bywma shbyeah wha la awsp nthqa bmshka wmkhzwhy lythwhy emyq mn mshka wydky ythyh khna wytsbe lbwshwhy wydky
On the seventh day, the priest shall examine the itch; and behold, if the itch hasn’t spread in the skin, and its appearance isn’t deeper than the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean. He shall wash his clothes and be clean.
35
ואם אוספא יוסף נתקא במשכא בתר דכותיה:
wam awspa ywsp nthqa bmshka bthr dkwthyh
But if the itch spreads in the skin after his cleansing,
36
ויחזניה כהנא והא אוסף נתקא במשכא לא יבקר כהנא לשער סמק מסאב הוא:
wykhznyh khna wha awsp nthqa bmshka la ybqr khna lsher smq msab hwa
then the priest shall examine him; and behold, if the itch has spread in the skin, the priest shall not look for the yellow hair; he is unclean.
37
ואם כד הוה קם נתקא ושער אכם צמח ביה אתסי נתקא דכי הוא וידכניה כהנא:
wam kd hwh qm nthqa wsher akm tsmkh byh athsy nthqa dky hwa wydknyh khna
But if in his eyes the itch is arrested and black hair has grown in it, then the itch is healed. He is clean. The priest shall pronounce him clean.
38
וגבר או אתתא ארי יהי במשך בסרהון בהרן בהרן חורן:
wgbr aw aththa ary yhy bmshk bsrhwn bhrn bhrn khwrn
“When a man or a woman has bright spots in the skin of the body, even white bright spots,
39
ויחזי כהנא והא במשך בסרהון בהרן עמין חורן בהקא הוא סגי במשכא דכי הוא:
wykhzy khna wha bmshk bsrhwn bhrn emyn khwrn bhqa hwa sgy bmshka dky hwa
then the priest shall examine them. Behold, if the bright spots on the skin of their body are a dull white, it is a harmless rash. It has broken out in the skin. He is clean.
40
וגבר ארי יתר שער רישיה קרח הוא דכי הוא:
wgbr ary ythr sher ryshyh qrkh hwa dky hwa
“If a man’s hair has fallen from his head, he is bald. He is clean.
41
ואם מלקבל אפוהי יתר שער רישיה גלוש הוא דכי הוא:
wam mlqbl apwhy ythr sher ryshyh glwsh hwa dky hwa
If his hair has fallen off from the front part of his head, his forehead is bald. He is clean.
42
וארי יהי בקרחותיה או בגלושותיה מכתש חור סמוק סגירות סגיא היא בקרחותיה או בגלושותיה:
wary yhy bqrkhwthyh aw bglwshwthyh mkthsh khwr smwq sgyrwth sgya hya bqrkhwthyh aw bglwshwthyh
But if a reddish-white plague is in the bald head or the bald forehead, it is leprosy breaking out in his bald head or his bald forehead.
43
ויחזי יתיה כהנא והא עמיק מכתשא חורא סמקא בקרחותיה או בגלושותיה כמחזי סגירותא משך בסרא:
wykhzy ythyh khna wha emyq mkthsha khwra smqa bqrkhwthyh aw bglwshwthyh kmkhzy sgyrwtha mshk bsra
Then the priest shall examine him. Behold, if the swelling of the plague is reddish-white in his bald head, or in his bald forehead, like the appearance of leprosy in the skin of the body,
44
גבר סגיר הוא מסאב הוא סאבא יסאבניה כהנא ברישיה מכתשיה:
gbr sgyr hwa msab hwa saba ysabnyh khna bryshyh mkthshyh
he is a leprous man. He is unclean. The priest shall surely pronounce him unclean. His plague is on his head.
45
וסגירא די ביה מכתשא לבושוהי יהון מבזעין ורישיה יהי פריע ועל שפם כאבלא יתעטף ולא תסתאבון ולא תסתאבון יקרי:
wsgyra dy byh mkthsha lbwshwhy yhwn mbzeyn wryshyh yhy prye wel shpm kabla ytheTp wla thsthabwn wla thsthabwn yqry
“The leper in whom the plague is shall wear torn clothes, and the hair of his head shall hang loose. He shall cover his upper lip, and shall cry, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’
46
כל יומי די מכתשא ביה יהי מסאב מסאב הוא בלחודוהי ייתב מברא למשריתא מותביה:
kl ywmy dy mkthsha byh yhy msab msab hwa blkhwdwhy yythb mbra lmshrytha mwthbyh
All the days in which the plague is in him he shall be unclean. He is unclean. He shall dwell alone. His dwelling shall be outside of the camp.
47
ולבושא ארי יהי ביה מכתש סגירו בלבוש עמר או בלבוש כתן:
wlbwsha ary yhy byh mkthsh sgyrw blbwsh emr aw blbwsh kthn
“The garment also that the plague of leprosy is in, whether it is a woolen garment, or a linen garment;

או בשתיא או בערבא לכתנא ולעמרא או במשכא או בכל עבידת משך:
aw bshthya aw berba lkthna wlemra aw bmshka aw bkl ebydth mshk
whether it is in warp or woof; of linen or of wool; whether in leather, or in anything made of leather;
49
ויהי מכתשא ירוק או סמוק בלבושא או במשכא או בשתיא או בערבא או בכל מאן דמשך מכתש סגירותא הוא ויתחזי לכהנא:
wyhy mkthsha yrwq aw smwq blbwsha aw bmshka aw bshthya aw berba aw bkl man dmshk mkthsh sgyrwtha hwa wythkhzy lkhna
if the plague is greenish or reddish in the garment, or in the leather, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in anything made of leather; it is the plague of leprosy, and shall be shown to the priest.
50
ויחזי כהנא ית מכתשא ויסגר ית מכתשא שבעת יומין:
wykhzy khna yth mkthsha wysgr yth mkthsha shbeth ywmyn
The priest shall examine the plague, and isolate the plague seven days.
51
ויחזי ית מכתשא ביומא שביעאה ארי אוסף מכתשא בלבושא או בשתיא או בערבא או במשכא לכל די יתעבד משכא לעבידא סגירות מחסרא מכתשא מסאב הוא:
wykhzy yth mkthsha bywma shbyeah ary awsp mkthsha blbwsha aw bshthya aw berba aw bmshka lkl dy ythebd mshka lebyda sgyrwth mkhsra mkthsha msab hwa
He shall examine the plague on the seventh day. If the plague has spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in the skin, whatever use the skin is used for, the plague is a destructive mildew. It is unclean.
52
ויוקיד ית לבושא או ית שתיא או ית ערבא בעמרא או בכתנא או ית כל מאן דמשך די יהי ביה מכתשא ארי סגירות מחסרא היא בנורא תתוקד:
wywqyd yth lbwsha aw yth shthya aw yth erba bemra aw bkthna aw yth kl man dmshk dy yhy byh mkthsha ary sgyrwth mkhsra hya bnwra ththwqd
He shall burn the garment, whether the warp or the woof, in wool or in linen, or anything of leather, in which the plague is, for it is a destructive mildew. It shall be burned in the fire.
53
ואם יחזי כהנא והא לא אוסף מכתשא בלבושא או בשתיא או בערבא או בכל מאן דמשך:
wam ykhzy khna wha la awsp mkthsha blbwsha aw bshthya aw berba aw bkl man dmshk
“If the priest examines it, and behold, the plague hasn’t spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in anything of skin;

ויפקד כהנא ויחורון ית די ביה מכתשא ויסגרניה שבעת יומין תנינות:
wypqd khna wykhwrwn yth dy byh mkthsha wysgrnyh shbeth ywmyn thnynwth
then the priest shall command that they wash the thing that the plague is in, and he shall isolate it seven more days.
55
ויחזי כהנא בתר דחורו ית מכתשא והא לא שנא מכתשא מן כד הוה ומכתשא לא אוסף מסאב הוא בנורא תוקדניה תברא היא בשחיקותיה או בחדתותיה:
wykhzy khna bthr dkhwrw yth mkthsha wha la shna mkthsha mn kd hwh wmkthsha la awsp msab hwa bnwra thwqdnyh thbra hya bshkhyqwthyh aw bkhdthwthyh
Then the priest shall examine it, after the plague is washed; and behold, if the plague hasn’t changed its color, and the plague hasn’t spread, it is unclean; you shall burn it in the fire. It is a mildewed spot, whether the bareness is inside or outside.
56
ואם חזא כהנא והא עמיא מכתשא בתר דחורו יתיה ובזע יתיה מן לבושא או מן משכא או מן שתיא או מן ערבא:
wam khza khna wha emya mkthsha bthr dkhwrw ythyh wbze ythyh mn lbwsha aw mn mshka aw mn shthya aw mn erba
If the priest looks, and behold, the plague has faded after it is washed, then he shall tear it out of the garment, or out of the skin, or out of the warp, or out of the woof;
57
ואם תתחזי עוד בלבושא או בשתיא או בערבא או בכל מאן דמשך סגיא היא בנורא תוקדניה ית די ביה מכתשא:
wam ththkhzy ewd blbwsha aw bshthya aw berba aw bkl man dmshk sgya hya bnwra thwqdnyh yth dy byh mkthsha
and if it appears again in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in anything of skin, it is spreading. You shall burn what the plague is in with fire.
58
ולבושא או שתיא או ערבא או כל מאן דמשך די יתחור ויעדי מנהון מכתשא ויצטבע תנינות וידכי:
wlbwsha aw shthya aw erba aw kl man dmshk dy ythkhwr wyedy mnhwn mkthsha wytsTbe thnynwth wydky
The garment, either the warp, or the woof, or whatever thing of skin it is, which you shall wash, if the plague has departed from them, then it shall be washed the second time, and it will be clean.”

דא אוריתא דמכתש סגירו בלבוש עמר או כתנא או שתיא או ערבא או כל מאן דמשך לדכיותיה או לסאבותיה:
da awrytha dmkthsh sgyrw blbwsh emr aw kthna aw shthya aw erba aw kl man dmshk ldkywthyh aw lsabwthyh
This is the law of the plague of mildew in a garment of wool or linen, either in the warp, or the woof, or in anything of skin, to pronounce it clean, or to pronounce it unclean.
