ומליל יי עם משה ולאהרן למימר להון:
lhwn lmymr wlahrn mshh em yy wmlyl
Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them,

מלילו עם בני ישראל למימר דא חיתא די תיכלון מכל בעירא די על ארעא:
area el dy beyra mkl thyklwn dy khytha da lmymr yshral bny em mlylw
“Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘These are the living things which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.

כל די סדיקן פרסתא ומטלפן טלפין פרסתא מסקא פשרא בבעירא יתה תיכלון:
thyklwn ythh bbeyra pshra msqa prstha Tlpyn wmTlpn prstha sdyqn dy kl
Whatever parts the hoof, and is cloven-footed, and chews the cud among the animals, that you may eat.

ברם ית דין לא תיכלון ממסקי פשרא וממסדיקי פרסתא ית גמלא ארי מסיק פשרא הוא ופרסתא לא סדיקא מסאב הוא לכון:
lkwn hwa msab sdyqa la wprstha hwa pshra msyq ary gmla yth prstha wmmsdyqy pshra mmsqy thyklwn la dyn yth brm
“‘Nevertheless these you shall not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those who part the hoof: the camel, because it chews the cud but doesn’t have a parted hoof, is unclean to you.

וית טפזא ארי מסיק פשרא הוא ופרסתא לא סדיקא מסאב הוא לכון:
lkwn hwa msab sdyqa la wprstha hwa pshra msyq ary Tpza wyth
The hyrax, because it chews the cud but doesn’t have a parted hoof, is unclean to you.

וית ארנבא ארי מסקא פשרא היא ופרסתא לא סדיקא מסאבא היא לכון:
lkwn hya msaba sdyqa la wprstha hya pshra msqa ary arnba wyth
The hare, because it chews the cud but doesn’t have a parted hoof, is unclean to you.

וית חזירא ארי סדיק פרסתא הוא ומטילפן טלפין פרסתיה והוא פשרא לא פשר מסאב הוא לכון:
lkwn hwa msab pshr la pshra whwa prsthyh Tlpyn wmTylpn hwa prstha sdyq ary khzyra wyth
The pig, because it has a split hoof, and is cloven-footed, but doesn’t chew the cud, is unclean to you.

מבסרהון לא תיכלון ובנבלתהון לא תקרבון מסאבין אנון לכון:
lkwn anwn msabyn thqrbwn la wbnblthhwn thyklwn la mbsrhwn
You shall not eat their meat. You shall not touch their carcasses. They are unclean to you.

ית דין תיכלון מכל די במיא כל די ליה ציצין וקלפין במיא ביממיא ובנחליא יתהון תיכלון:
thyklwn ythhwn wbnkhlya bymmya bmya wqlpyn tsytsyn lyh dy kl bmya dy mkl thyklwn dyn yth
“‘You may eat of all these that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, that you may eat.

וכל די לית ליה ציצין וקלפין ביממיא ובנחליא מכל רחשא דמיא ומכל נפשא חיתא די במיא שקצא אנון לכון:
lkwn anwn shqtsa bmya dy khytha npsha wmkl dmya rkhsha mkl wbnkhlya bymmya wqlpyn tsytsyn lyh lyth dy wkl
All that don’t have fins and scales in the seas and rivers, all that move in the waters, and all the living creatures that are in the waters, they are an abomination to you,

ושקצא יהון לכון מבסרהון לא תיכלון וית נבלתהון תשקצון:
thshqtswn nblthhwn wyth thyklwn la mbsrhwn lkwn yhwn wshqtsa
and you shall detest them. You shall not eat of their meat, and you shall detest their carcasses.
12
כל די לית ליה ציצין וקלפין במיא שקצא הוא לכון:
lkwn hwa shqtsa bmya wqlpyn tsytsyn lyh lyth dy kl
Whatever has no fins nor scales in the waters is an abomination to you.
13
וית אלין תשקצון מן עופא לא יתאכלון שקצא אנון נשרא וער ועזיא:
wezya wer nshra anwn shqtsa ythaklwn la ewpa mn thshqtswn alyn wyth
“‘You shall detest these among the birds; they shall not be eaten because they are an abomination: the eagle, the vulture, the black vulture,

וית בת נעמיתא וציצא וצפר שחפא ונצא לזנוהי:
lznwhy wntsa shkhpa wtspr wtsytsa nemytha bth wyth
the horned owl, the screech owl, the gull, any kind of hawk,

וחוריתא ואבו לזנה ונגר טורא ועטלפא:
weTlpa Twra wngr lznh wabw wkhwrytha
the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe, and the bat.
20
כל רחשא דעופא דמהלך על ארבע שקצא הוא לכון:
lkwn hwa shqtsa arbe el dmhlk dewpa rkhsha kl
“‘All flying insects that walk on all fours are an abomination to you.
21
ברם ית דין תיכלון מכל רחשא דעופא דמהלך על ארבע די ליה קרצולין מעלוי רגלוהי לקפצא בהון על ארעא:
area el bhwn lqptsa rglwhy melwy qrtswlyn lyh dy arbe el dmhlk dewpa rkhsha mkl thyklwn dyn yth brm
Yet you may eat these: of all winged creeping things that go on all fours, which have long, jointed legs for hopping on the earth.

ית אלין מנהון תיכלון ית גובא לזנה וית רשונא לזנוהי וית חרגולא לזנוהי וית חגבא לזנוהי:
lznwhy khgba wyth lznwhy khrgwla wyth lznwhy rshwna wyth lznh gwba yth thyklwn mnhwn alyn yth
Even of these you may eat: any kind of locust, any kind of katydid, any kind of cricket, and any kind of grasshopper.

וכל רחשא דעופא די ליה ארבע רגלין שקצא הוא לכון:
lkwn hwa shqtsa rglyn arbe lyh dy dewpa rkhsha wkl
But all winged creeping things which have four feet are an abomination to you.
24
ולאלין תסתאבון כל דיקרב בנבלתהון יהי מסאב עד רמשא:
rmsha ed msab yhy bnblthhwn dyqrb kl thsthabwn wlalyn
“‘By these you will become unclean: whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
25
וכל דיטול מנבלתהון יצבע לבושוהי ויהי מסאב עד רמשא:
rmsha ed msab wyhy lbwshwhy ytsbe mnblthhwn dyTwl wkl
Whoever carries any part of their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.

לכל בעירא די היא סדיקא פרסתא וטלפין ליתהא מטלפא ופשרא ליתהא מסקא מסאבין אנון לכון כל דיקרב בהון יהי מסאב:
msab yhy bhwn dyqrb kl lkwn anwn msabyn msqa lythha wpshra mTlpa lythha wTlpyn prstha sdyqa hya dy beyra lkl
“‘Every animal which has a split hoof that isn’t completely divided, or doesn’t chew the cud, is unclean to you. Everyone who touches them shall be unclean.

וכל דמהלך על ידוהי בכל חיתא דמהלכא על ארבע מסאבין אנון לכון כל דיקרב בנבלתהון יהי מסאב עד רמשא:
rmsha ed msab yhy bnblthhwn dyqrb kl lkwn anwn msabyn arbe el dmhlka khytha bkl ydwhy el dmhlk wkl
Whatever goes on its paws, among all animals that go on all fours, they are unclean to you. Whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
28
ודיטול ית נבלתהון יצבע לבושוהי ויהי מסאב עד רמשא מסאבין אנון לכון:
lkwn anwn msabyn rmsha ed msab wyhy lbwshwhy ytsbe nblthhwn yth wdyTwl
He who carries their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. They are unclean to you.
29
ודין לכון מסאבא ברחשא דרחש על ארעא חלדא ועכברא וצבא לזנוהי:
lznwhy wtsba wekbra khlda area el drkhsh brkhsha msaba lkwn wdyn
“‘These are they which are unclean to you among the creeping things that creep on the earth: the weasel, the rat, any kind of great lizard,

וילא וכחא וחלטיתא וחמטא ואשותא:
washwtha wkhmTa wkhlTytha wkkha wyla
the gecko, and the monitor lizard, the wall lizard, the skink, and the chameleon.
31
אלין דמסאבין לכון בכל רחשא כל דיקרב בהון במותהון יהי מסאב עד רמשא:
rmsha ed msab yhy bmwthhwn bhwn dyqrb kl rkhsha bkl lkwn dmsabyn alyn
These are they which are unclean to you among all that creep. Whoever touches them when they are dead shall be unclean until the evening.
32
וכל די יפל עלוהי מנהון במותהון יהי מסאב מכל מאן דאעא או לבוש או משך או שק כל מאן די תתעבד עבידא בהון במיא יתעל ויהי מסאב עד רמשא וידכי:
wydky rmsha ed msab wyhy ythel bmya bhwn ebyda ththebd dy man kl shq aw mshk aw lbwsh aw daea man mkl msab yhy bmwthhwn mnhwn elwhy ypl dy wkl
Anything they fall on when they are dead shall be unclean; whether it is any vessel of wood, or clothing, or skin, or sack, whatever vessel it is, with which any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the evening. Then it will be clean.
33
וכל מאן דחסף די יפל מנהון לגויה כל די בגויה יסתאב ויתיה תתברון:
ththbrwn wythyh ysthab bgwyh dy kl lgwyh mnhwn ypl dy dkhsp man wkl
Every earthen vessel into which any of them falls and all that is in it shall be unclean. You shall break it.
34
מכל מיכלא דמתאכל די יעלון עלוהי מיא יהי מסאב וכל משקה די ישתתי בכל מאן יהי מסאב:
msab yhy man bkl yshththy dy mshqh wkl msab yhy mya elwhy yelwn dy dmthakl mykla mkl
All food which may be eaten which is soaked in water shall be unclean. All drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.
35
וכל די יפל מנבלתהון עלוהי יהי מסאב תנור וכירים יתרעון מסאבין אנון ומסאבין יהון לכון:
lkwn yhwn wmsabyn anwn msabyn ythrewn wkyrym thnwr msab yhy elwhy mnblthhwn ypl dy wkl
Everything whereupon part of their carcass falls shall be unclean; whether oven, or range for pots, it shall be broken in pieces. They are unclean, and shall be unclean to you.
36
ברם מעין וגוב בית כנישות מיא יהי דכי ודיקרב בנבלתהון יהי מסאב:
msab yhy bnblthhwn wdyqrb dky yhy mya knyshwth byth wgwb meyn brm
Nevertheless a spring or a cistern in which water is gathered shall be clean, but that which touches their carcass shall be unclean.
37
וארי יפל מנבלתהון על כל בר זרע זרוע די יזדרע דכי הוא:
hwa dky yzdre dy zrwe zre br kl el mnblthhwn ypl wary
If part of their carcass falls on any sowing seed which is to be sown, it is clean.
38
וארי יתיהבון מיא על בר זרעא ויפל מנבלתהון עלוהי מסאב הוא לכון:
lkwn hwa msab elwhy mnblthhwn wypl zrea br el mya ythyhbwn wary
But if water is put on the seed, and part of their carcass falls on it, it is unclean to you.
39
וארי ימות מן בעירא די היא לכון למיכל דיקרב בנבלתה יהי מסאב עד רמשא:
rmsha ed msab yhy bnblthh dyqrb lmykl lkwn hya dy beyra mn ymwth wary
“‘If any animal of which you may eat dies, he who touches its carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
40
ודיכול מנבלתה יצבע לבושוהי ויהי מסאב עד רמשא ודיטול ית נבלתה יצבע לבושוהי ויהי מסאב עד רמשא:
rmsha ed msab wyhy lbwshwhy ytsbe nblthh yth wdyTwl rmsha ed msab wyhy lbwshwhy ytsbe mnblthh wdykwl
He who eats of its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. He also who carries its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.
41
וכל רחשא דרחש על ארעא שקצא הוא לא יתאכל:
ythakl la hwa shqtsa area el drkhsh rkhsha wkl
“‘Every creeping thing that creeps on the earth is an abomination. It shall not be eaten.
42
כל דמהלך על מעוהי וכל דמהלך על ארבע עד כל סגיאות רגלאין לכל רחשא דרחש על ארעא לא תיכלנון ארי שקצא אנון:
anwn shqtsa ary thyklnwn la area el drkhsh rkhsha lkl rglayn sgyawth kl ed arbe el dmhlk wkl mewhy el dmhlk kl
Whatever goes on its belly, and whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet, even all creeping things that creep on the earth, them you shall not eat; for they are an abomination.
43
לא תשקצו ית נפשתיכון בכל רחשא דרחש ולא תסתאבון בהון ותסתאבון פון בהון:
bhwn pwn wthsthabwn bhwn thsthabwn wla drkhsh rkhsha bkl npshthykwn yth thshqtsw la
You shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creeps. You shall not make yourselves unclean with them, that you should be defiled by them.
44
ארי אנא יי אלהכון ותתקדשון ותהון קדישין ארי קדיש אנא ולא תסאבון ית נפשתיכון בכל רחשא דרחש על ארעא:
area el drkhsh rkhsha bkl npshthykwn yth thsabwn wla ana qdysh ary qdyshyn wthhwn wththqdshwn alhkwn yy ana ary
For I am Yahweh your God. Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am holy. You shall not defile yourselves with any kind of creeping thing that moves on the earth.
45
ארי אנא יי דאסק יתכון מארעא דמצרים למהוי לכון לאלה ותהון קדישין ארי קדיש אנא:
ana qdysh ary qdyshyn wthhwn lalh lkwn lmhwy dmtsrym marea ythkwn dasq yy ana ary
For I am Yahweh who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
46
דא אוריתא דבעירא ודעופא ודכל נפשתא חיתא דרחשא במיא ולכל נפשא דרחשא על ארעא:
area el drkhsha npsha wlkl bmya drkhsha khytha npshtha wdkl wdewpa dbeyra awrytha da
“‘This is the law of the animal, and of the bird, and of every living creature that moves in the waters, and of every creature that creeps on the earth,
