ונסיבו בני אהרן נדב ואביהוא גבר מחתיתיה ויהבו בהון אשתא ושויאו עלה קטורת וקריבו קדם יי אשתא נוכריתא די לא פקיד יתהון:
wnsybw bny ahrn ndb wabyhwa gbr mkhthythyh wyhbw bhwn ashtha wshwyaw elh qTwrth wqrybw qdm yy ashtha nwkrytha dy la pqyd ythhwn
Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer, and put fire in it, and laid incense on it, and offered strange fire before Yahweh, which he had not commanded them.

ונפקת אשתא מן קדם יי ואכלת יתהון ומיתו קדם יי:
wnpqth ashtha mn qdm yy waklth ythhwn wmythw qdm yy
Fire came out from before Yahweh, and devoured them, and they died before Yahweh.

ואמר משה לאהרן הוא די מליל יי למימר בקריבי אתקדש ועל אפי כל עמא אתיקר ושתיק אהרן:
wamr mshh lahrn hwa dy mlyl yy lmymr bqryby athqdsh wel apy kl ema athyqr wshthyq ahrn
Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what Yahweh spoke of, saying, ‘I will show myself holy to those who come near me, and before all the people I will be glorified.’” Aaron held his peace.

וקרא משה למישאל ולאלצפן בני עזיאל אח אבוהי דאהרן ואמר להון קריבו טולו ית אחוכון מן קדם אפי קודשא למברא למשריתא:
wqra mshh lmyshal wlaltspn bny ezyal akh abwhy dahrn wamr lhwn qrybw Twlw yth akhwkwn mn qdm apy qwdsha lmbra lmshrytha
Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said to them, “Draw near, carry your brothers from before the sanctuary out of the camp.”

וקריבו ונטלנון בכתניהון למברא למשריתא כמא די מליל משה:
wqrybw wnTlnwn bkthnyhwn lmbra lmshrytha kma dy mlyl mshh
So they came near, and carried them in their tunics out of the camp, as Moses had said.

ואמר משה לאהרן ולאלעזר ולאיתמר בנוהי רישיכון לא תרבון פרוע ולבושיכון לא תבזעון ולא תמותון ועל כל כנשתא יהי רוגזא ואחיכון כל בית ישראל יבכון ית יקדתא די אוקיד יי:
wamr mshh lahrn wlalezr wlaythmr bnwhy ryshykwn la thrbwn prwe wlbwshykwn la thbzewn wla thmwthwn wel kl knshtha yhy rwgza wakhykwn kl byth yshral ybkwn yth yqdtha dy awqyd yy
Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons, “Don’t let the hair of your heads go loose, and don’t tear your clothes, so that you don’t die, and so that he will not be angry with all the congregation; but let your brothers, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which Yahweh has kindled.

ומתרע משכן זמנא לא תפקון דילמא תמותון ארי משח רבותא דיי עליכון ועבדו כפתגמא דמשה:
wmthre mshkn zmna la thpqwn dylma thmwthwn ary mshkh rbwtha dyy elykwn webdw kpthgma dmshh
You shall not go out from the door of the Tent of Meeting, lest you die; for the anointing oil of Yahweh is on you.” They did according to the word of Moses.

חמר ומרוי לא תשתי את ובניך עמך במעלכון למשכן זמנא ולא תמותון קים עלם לדריכון:
khmr wmrwy la thshthy ath wbnyk emk bmelkwn lmshkn zmna wla thmwthwn qym elm ldrykwn
“You and your sons are not to drink wine or strong drink whenever you go into the Tent of Meeting, or you will die. This shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.

ולאפרשא בין קודשא ובין חלא ובין מסאבא ובין דכיא:
wlaprsha byn qwdsha wbyn khla wbyn msaba wbyn dkya
You are to make a distinction between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean.

ולאלפא ית בני ישראל ית כל קימיא די מליל יי להון בידא דמשה:
wlalpa yth bny yshral yth kl qymya dy mlyl yy lhwn byda dmshh
You are to teach the children of Israel all the statutes which Yahweh has spoken to them by Moses.”

ומליל משה עם אהרן ועם אלעזר ועם איתמר בנוהי דאשתארו סיבו ית מנחתא דאשתארת מקרבניא דיי ואכלוה פטיר בסטר מדבחא ארי קדש קודשין היא:
wmlyl mshh em ahrn wem alezr wem aythmr bnwhy dashtharw sybw yth mnkhtha dashtharth mqrbnya dyy waklwh pTyr bsTr mdbkha ary qdsh qwdshyn hya
Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons who were left, “Take the meal offering that remains of the offerings of Yahweh made by fire, and eat it without yeast beside the altar; for it is most holy;

ותיכלון יתה באתר קדיש ארי חלקך וחלק בניך היא מקרבניא דיי ארי כן אתפקדית:
wthyklwn ythh bathr qdysh ary khlqk wkhlq bnyk hya mqrbnya dyy ary kn athpqdyth
and you shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your portion, and your sons’ portion, of the offerings of Yahweh made by fire; for so I am commanded.

וית חדיא דארמותא וית שוקא דאפרשותא תיכלון באתר דכי את ובניך ובנתיך עמך ארי חלקך וחלק בניך אתיהבו מנכסת קודשיא דבני ישראל:
wyth khdya darmwtha wyth shwqa daprshwtha thyklwn bathr dky ath wbnyk wbnthyk emk ary khlqk wkhlq bnyk athyhbw mnksth qwdshya dbny yshral
The waved breast and the heaved thigh you shall eat in a clean place, you, and your sons, and your daughters with you: for they are given as your portion, and your sons’ portion, out of the sacrifices of the peace offerings of the children of Israel.

שוקא דאפרשותא וחדיא דארמותא על קרבני תרביא ייתון לארמא ארמא קדם יי ויהי לך ולבניך עמך לקים עלם כמא די פקיד יי:
shwqa daprshwtha wkhdya darmwtha el qrbny thrbya yythwn larma arma qdm yy wyhy lk wlbnyk emk lqym elm kma dy pqyd yy
They shall bring the heaved thigh and the waved breast with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before Yahweh. It shall be yours, and your sons’ with you, as a portion forever, as Yahweh has commanded.”

וית צפירא דחטתא מתבע תבעי משה והא אתוקד ורגז על אלעזר ועל איתמר בני אהרן דאשתארו למימר:
wyth tspyra dkhTtha mthbe thbey mshh wha athwqd wrgz el alezr wel aythmr bny ahrn dashtharw lmymr
Moses diligently inquired about the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burned. He was angry with Eleazar and with Ithamar, the sons of Aaron who were left, saying,

מדין לא אכלתון ית חטאתא באתר קדיש ארי קדש קודשין היא ויתה יהב לכון לסלחא על חובי כנשתא לכפרא עליהון קדם יי:
mdyn la aklthwn yth khTatha bathr qdysh ary qdsh qwdshyn hya wythh yhb lkwn lslkha el khwby knshtha lkpra elyhwn qdm yy
“Why haven’t you eaten the sin offering in the place of the sanctuary, since it is most holy, and he has given it to you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before Yahweh?

הא לא אתעל ית דמה לבית קדשא גואה מיכל תיכלון יתה בקדשא כמא די פקדית:
ha la athel yth dmh lbyth qdsha gwah mykl thyklwn ythh bqdsha kma dy pqdyth
Behold, its blood was not brought into the inner part of the sanctuary. You certainly should have eaten it in the sanctuary, as I commanded.”

ומליל אהרן עם משה הא יומא דין קריבו ית חטאתהון וית עלתהון קדם יי וערעא יתי עקן כאלין ואלופון אכלית חטאתא יומא דין התקן קדם יי:
wmlyl ahrn em mshh ha ywma dyn qrybw yth khTathhwn wyth elthhwn qdm yy werea ythy eqn kalyn walwpwn aklyth khTatha ywma dyn hthqn qdm yy
Aaron spoke to Moses, “Behold, today they have offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before Yahweh; and such things as these have happened to me. If I had eaten the sin offering today, would it have been pleasing in Yahweh’s sight?”

ושמע משה ושפר בעינוהי:

When Moses heard that, it was pleasing in his sight.
