1
ונסיבו בני אהרן נדב ואביהוא גבר מחתיתיה ויהבו בהון אשתא ושויאו עלה קטורת וקריבו קדם יי אשתא נוכריתא די לא פקיד יתהון:
ythhwn pqyd la dy nwkrytha ashtha yy qdm wqrybw qTwrth elh wshwyaw ashtha bhwn wyhbw mkhthythyh gbr wabyhwa ndb ahrn bny wnsybw
Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer, and put fire in it, and laid incense on it, and offered strange fire before Yahweh, which he had not commanded them.

ונפקת אשתא מן קדם יי ואכלת יתהון ומיתו קדם יי:
yy qdm wmythw ythhwn waklth yy qdm mn ashtha wnpqth
Fire came out from before Yahweh, and devoured them, and they died before Yahweh.

ואמר משה לאהרן הוא די מליל יי למימר בקריבי אתקדש ועל אפי כל עמא אתיקר ושתיק אהרן:
ahrn wshthyq athyqr ema kl apy wel athqdsh bqryby lmymr yy mlyl dy hwa lahrn mshh wamr
Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what Yahweh spoke of, saying, ‘I will show myself holy to those who come near me, and before all the people I will be glorified.’” Aaron held his peace.

וקרא משה למישאל ולאלצפן בני עזיאל אח אבוהי דאהרן ואמר להון קריבו טולו ית אחוכון מן קדם אפי קודשא למברא למשריתא:
lmshrytha lmbra qwdsha apy qdm mn akhwkwn yth Twlw qrybw lhwn wamr dahrn abwhy akh ezyal bny wlaltspn lmyshal mshh wqra
Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said to them, “Draw near, carry your brothers from before the sanctuary out of the camp.”

וקריבו ונטלנון בכתניהון למברא למשריתא כמא די מליל משה:
mshh mlyl dy kma lmshrytha lmbra bkthnyhwn wnTlnwn wqrybw
So they came near, and carried them in their tunics out of the camp, as Moses had said.

ואמר משה לאהרן ולאלעזר ולאיתמר בנוהי רישיכון לא תרבון פרוע ולבושיכון לא תבזעון ולא תמותון ועל כל כנשתא יהי רוגזא ואחיכון כל בית ישראל יבכון ית יקדתא די אוקיד יי:
yy awqyd dy yqdtha yth ybkwn yshral byth kl wakhykwn rwgza yhy knshtha kl wel thmwthwn wla thbzewn la wlbwshykwn prwe thrbwn la ryshykwn bnwhy wlaythmr wlalezr lahrn mshh wamr
Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons, “Don’t let the hair of your heads go loose, and don’t tear your clothes, so that you don’t die, and so that he will not be angry with all the congregation; but let your brothers, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which Yahweh has kindled.

ומתרע משכן זמנא לא תפקון דילמא תמותון ארי משח רבותא דיי עליכון ועבדו כפתגמא דמשה:
dmshh kpthgma webdw elykwn dyy rbwtha mshkh ary thmwthwn dylma thpqwn la zmna mshkn wmthre
You shall not go out from the door of the Tent of Meeting, lest you die; for the anointing oil of Yahweh is on you.” They did according to the word of Moses.

חמר ומרוי לא תשתי את ובניך עמך במעלכון למשכן זמנא ולא תמותון קים עלם לדריכון:
ldrykwn elm qym thmwthwn wla zmna lmshkn bmelkwn emk wbnyk ath thshthy la wmrwy khmr
“You and your sons are not to drink wine or strong drink whenever you go into the Tent of Meeting, or you will die. This shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.

ולאפרשא בין קודשא ובין חלא ובין מסאבא ובין דכיא:
dkya wbyn msaba wbyn khla wbyn qwdsha byn wlaprsha
You are to make a distinction between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean.

ולאלפא ית בני ישראל ית כל קימיא די מליל יי להון בידא דמשה:
dmshh byda lhwn yy mlyl dy qymya kl yth yshral bny yth wlalpa
You are to teach the children of Israel all the statutes which Yahweh has spoken to them by Moses.”

ומליל משה עם אהרן ועם אלעזר ועם איתמר בנוהי דאשתארו סיבו ית מנחתא דאשתארת מקרבניא דיי ואכלוה פטיר בסטר מדבחא ארי קדש קודשין היא:
hya qwdshyn qdsh ary mdbkha bsTr pTyr waklwh dyy mqrbnya dashtharth mnkhtha yth sybw dashtharw bnwhy aythmr wem alezr wem ahrn em mshh wmlyl
Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons who were left, “Take the meal offering that remains of the offerings of Yahweh made by fire, and eat it without yeast beside the altar; for it is most holy;

ותיכלון יתה באתר קדיש ארי חלקך וחלק בניך היא מקרבניא דיי ארי כן אתפקדית:
athpqdyth kn ary dyy mqrbnya hya bnyk wkhlq khlqk ary qdysh bathr ythh wthyklwn
and you shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your portion, and your sons’ portion, of the offerings of Yahweh made by fire; for so I am commanded.

וית חדיא דארמותא וית שוקא דאפרשותא תיכלון באתר דכי את ובניך ובנתיך עמך ארי חלקך וחלק בניך אתיהבו מנכסת קודשיא דבני ישראל:
yshral dbny qwdshya mnksth athyhbw bnyk wkhlq khlqk ary emk wbnthyk wbnyk ath dky bathr thyklwn daprshwtha shwqa wyth darmwtha khdya wyth
The waved breast and the heaved thigh you shall eat in a clean place, you, and your sons, and your daughters with you: for they are given as your portion, and your sons’ portion, out of the sacrifices of the peace offerings of the children of Israel.

שוקא דאפרשותא וחדיא דארמותא על קרבני תרביא ייתון לארמא ארמא קדם יי ויהי לך ולבניך עמך לקים עלם כמא די פקיד יי:
yy pqyd dy kma elm lqym emk wlbnyk lk wyhy yy qdm arma larma yythwn thrbya qrbny el darmwtha wkhdya daprshwtha shwqa
They shall bring the heaved thigh and the waved breast with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before Yahweh. It shall be yours, and your sons’ with you, as a portion forever, as Yahweh has commanded.”

וית צפירא דחטתא מתבע תבעי משה והא אתוקד ורגז על אלעזר ועל איתמר בני אהרן דאשתארו למימר:
lmymr dashtharw ahrn bny aythmr wel alezr el wrgz athwqd wha mshh thbey mthbe dkhTtha tspyra wyth
Moses diligently inquired about the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burned. He was angry with Eleazar and with Ithamar, the sons of Aaron who were left, saying,

מדין לא אכלתון ית חטאתא באתר קדיש ארי קדש קודשין היא ויתה יהב לכון לסלחא על חובי כנשתא לכפרא עליהון קדם יי:
yy qdm elyhwn lkpra knshtha khwby el lslkha lkwn yhb wythh hya qwdshyn qdsh ary qdysh bathr khTatha yth aklthwn la mdyn
“Why haven’t you eaten the sin offering in the place of the sanctuary, since it is most holy, and he has given it to you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before Yahweh?

הא לא אתעל ית דמה לבית קדשא גואה מיכל תיכלון יתה בקדשא כמא די פקדית:
pqdyth dy kma bqdsha ythh thyklwn mykl gwah qdsha lbyth dmh yth athel la ha
Behold, its blood was not brought into the inner part of the sanctuary. You certainly should have eaten it in the sanctuary, as I commanded.”

ומליל אהרן עם משה הא יומא דין קריבו ית חטאתהון וית עלתהון קדם יי וערעא יתי עקן כאלין ואלופון אכלית חטאתא יומא דין התקן קדם יי:
yy qdm hthqn dyn ywma khTatha aklyth walwpwn kalyn eqn ythy werea yy qdm elthhwn wyth khTathhwn yth qrybw dyn ywma ha mshh em ahrn wmlyl
Aaron spoke to Moses, “Behold, today they have offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before Yahweh; and such things as these have happened to me. If I had eaten the sin offering today, would it have been pleasing in Yahweh’s sight?”
