איכדין יקוץ יי בתקוף רוגזיה ית כנשתא דציון טלק משמיא לארעא תושבחתא דישראל ולא דכיר בית מוקדשא דהוה גלונדקא דרגלוהי ולא חס עלוהי ביום תקוף רוגזיה:
rwgzyh thqwp bywm elwhy khs wla drglwhy glwndqa dhwh mwqdsha byth dkyr wla dyshral thwshbkhtha larea mshmya Tlq dtsywn knshtha yth rwgzyh bthqwp yy yqwts aykdyn
How has the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger! He has cast the beauty of Israel down from heaven to the earth, and hasn’t remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

שיצי יי ולא חס ית כל עידית יעקב פגר ברוגזיה כרכי כנשתא דבית יהודה אמטי לארעא אפיס מלכותהא ורברבנהא:
wrbrbnha mlkwthha apys larea amTy yhwdh dbyth knshtha krky brwgzyh pgr yeqb eydyth kl yth khs wla yy shytsy
The Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob without pity. He has thrown down in his wrath the strongholds of the daughter of Judah. He has brought them down to the ground. He has profaned the kingdom and its princes.

קצץ בתקוף רגז ית כל יקריה דישראל ארתע לאחורא יד ימיניה ולא סיע לעמיה מן קדם בעיל דבבא ואדליק בבית יעקב כאשתא דמשלהבא אכלת חזור חזור:
khzwr khzwr aklth dmshlhba kashtha yeqb bbyth wadlyq dbba beyl qdm mn lemyh sye wla ymynyh yd lakhwra arthe dyshral yqryh kl yth rgz bthqwp qtsts
He has cut off all the horn of Israel in fierce anger. He has drawn back his right hand from before the enemy. He has burned up Jacob like a flaming fire, which devours all around.

מתח קשתיה ורגם עלי גירין כבעיל דבבא אתעתד על יד ימיניה דנבוכדנצר וסיעיה כאלו הוה מעיק לעמיה ישראל וקטל כל עולים וכל דמרגגין לחזו עינא במשכן כנשתא דציון שדא כביעור אשא רוגזיה:
rwgzyh asha kbyewr shda dtsywn knshtha bmshkn eyna lkhzw dmrggyn wkl ewlym kl wqTl yshral lemyh meyq hwh kalw wsyeyh dnbwkdntsr ymynyh yd el athethd dbba kbeyl gyryn ely wrgm qshthyh mthkh
He has bent his bow like an enemy. He has stood with his right hand as an adversary. He has killed all that were pleasant to the eye. In the tent of the daughter of Zion, he has poured out his wrath like fire.

הוה יי דמי כבעיל דבבא שיצי ישראל שיצי כל ברניתהא חביל כל קירוי פציחהא ואסגי בכנישתא דבית יהודה אבילותא ואנינותא:
wanynwtha abylwtha yhwdh dbyth bknyshtha wasgy ptsykhha qyrwy kl khbyl brnythha kl shytsy yshral shytsy dbba kbeyl dmy yy hwh
The Lord has become as an enemy. He has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces. He has destroyed his strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation in the daughter of Judah.

ושרש כגינתא בית מוקדשיה חבל אתר מזומן לכפרא על עמיה אינשי יי בציון חדות יומא טבא ושבתא ושנא בתקוף רוגזיה מלכא וכהנא רבא:
rba wkhna mlka rwgzyh bthqwp wshna wshbtha Tba ywma khdwth btsywn yy aynshy emyh el lkpra mzwmn athr khbl mwqdshyh byth kgyntha wshrsh
He has violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were a garden. He has destroyed his place of assembly. Yahweh has caused solemn assembly and Sabbath to be forgotten in Zion. In the indignation of his anger, he has despised the king and the priest.

אשלי יי מדבחיה בעט מקדשיה מסר ביד בעיל דבבא שורי בירניתהא קלא יהבו בבית מוקדשא דיי כקל עמא בית ישראל דמצליין בגויה ביומא דפסחא:
dpskha bywma bgwyh dmtslyyn yshral byth ema kql dyy mwqdsha bbyth yhbw qla byrnythha shwry dbba beyl byd msr mqdshyh beT mdbkhyh yy ashly
The Lord has cast off his altar. He has abhorred his sanctuary. He has given the walls of her palaces into the hand of the enemy. They have made a noise in Yahweh’s house, as in the day of a solemn assembly.

חשב יי לחבלא שור כנשתא דציון סאט משקולתא ולא אתיב ידיה מלשיצאה ואביל מקפנא ושורא כחדא אתפגרו:
athpgrw kkhda wshwra mqpna wabyl mlshytsah ydyh athyb wla mshqwltha saT dtsywn knshtha shwr lkhbla yy khshb
Yahweh has purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion. He has stretched out the line. He has not withdrawn his hand from destroying; He has made the rampart and wall lament. They languish together.

טמעו בארעא תרעהא הוביד ותבר מזוזתהא מלכהא ורברבנהא גלו ביני עממיא על דלא נטרו פתגמי אורייתא כאלו לא קבילו יתה בטורא דסיני אף נביאהא אתמנע מנהון רוח נבואת קודשא ולא אתאמר להון פתגם נבואתא מן קדם יי:
yy qdm mn nbwatha pthgm lhwn athamr wla qwdsha nbwath rwkh mnhwn athmne nbyaha ap dsyny bTwra ythh qbylw la kalw awryytha pthgmy nTrw dla el emmya byny glw wrbrbnha mlkha mzwzthha wthbr hwbyd threha barea Tmew
Her gates have sunk into the ground. He has destroyed and broken her bars. Her king and her princes are among the nations where the law is not. Yes, her prophets find no vision from Yahweh.

יתבין על ארעא שתקין סבי כנשתא דציון אסיקו עפר מקלה על רישיהון קמרו סקין על בסרהון אחיתו לעפרא דארעא רישיהון בתולתיא דירושלם:
dyrwshlm bthwlthya ryshyhwn darea lepra akhythw bsrhwn el sqyn qmrw ryshyhwn el mqlh epr asyqw dtsywn knshtha sby shthqyn area el ythbyn
The elders of the daughter of Zion sit on the ground. They keep silence. They have cast up dust on their heads. They have clothed themselves with sackcloth. The virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.

ספקו בדמען עיני אידגארן מעי אתשד לארעא כבדי על תביר כנשתא דעמי כדו דצחו עולמיא וינקיא בפתאות קרתא:
qrtha bpthawth wynqya ewlmya dtskhw kdw demy knshtha thbyr el kbdy larea athshd mey aydgarn eyny bdmen spqw
My eyes fail with tears. My heart is troubled. My bile is poured on the earth, because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, because the young children and the infants swoon in the streets of the city.

לאמהון אמרין רוביא דישראל אן עיבור וחמר כד הוו צחיין כקטל דחרבא מן צחותא בפתאות קריתא כד אתשד נפשהון מן כפנא לגו עטיף אמהון:
amhwn eTyp lgw kpna mn npshhwn athshd kd qrytha bpthawth tskhwtha mn dkhrba kqTl tskhyyn hww kd wkhmr eybwr an dyshral rwbya amryn lamhwn
They ask their mothers, “Where is grain and wine?” when they swoon as the wounded in the streets of the city, when their soul is poured out into their mothers’ bosom.

מה אסעיד בך ומה אהא מדמי לך כנישתא דירושלם מה אחביר לך ואהי מנחם ליך בתולתא דכנישתא דציון ארום סגיא תבריך כסגיאות תביר גללי ימא רבא בעידן נחשוליה ומן הוא אסיא די יסי יתיך מן מרעיך:
mreyk mn ythyk ysy dy asya hwa wmn nkhshwlyh beydn rba yma glly thbyr ksgyawth thbryk sgya arwm dtsywn dknyshtha bthwltha lyk mnkhm wahy lk akhbyr mh dyrwshlm knyshtha lk mdmy aha wmh bk aseyd mh
What shall I testify to you? What shall I liken to you, daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I compare to you, that I may comfort you, virgin daughter of Zion? For your breach is as big as the sea. Who can heal you?

נביאי די בינך הינון איתנביאו ליך שיקרא ולית משש לנבואתהון ולא פרסימו ית פורענותא דעתיד למיתי עליך בגלל חוביך לאהדרותך בתיובתא אלהן נבאו ליך נבואת מגן ומלי טעותא:
Tewtha wmly mgn nbwath lyk nbaw alhn bthywbtha lahdrwthk khwbyk bgll elyk lmythy dethyd pwrenwtha yth prsymw wla lnbwathhwn mshsh wlyth shyqra lyk aythnbyaw hynwn bynk dy nbyay
Your prophets have seen false and foolish visions for you. They have not uncovered your iniquity, to reverse your captivity, but have seen for you false revelations and causes of banishment.

שפקו עליך ידיהון כל עוברי אורחא שריקו בספותהון וטלטילו ברישיהון על כנישתא דירושלם אמרו בפומהון הדא היא קרתא דהוו אמרין אבהתן דמלקדמין דהיא גמירת נואי ושופרא חדוה לכל יתבי ארעא:

All that pass by clap their hands at you. They hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, “Is this the city that men called ‘The perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth’?”

פתחו עליך פומהון כל בעלי דבביך שרקו בספותהון ועסיאו בשניהון ואמרו שיצינא ברם דין יומא דהוינא מתינן אשכחנא חזינא:
khzyna ashkkhna mthynn dhwyna ywma dyn brm shytsyna wamrw bshnyhwn wesyaw bspwthhwn shrqw dbbyk bely kl pwmhwn elyk pthkhw
All your enemies have opened their mouth wide against you. They hiss and gnash their teeth. They say, “We have swallowed her up. Certainly this is the day that we looked for. We have found it. We have seen it.”

עבד יי מה דחשיב גמר מימר פומיה די פקיד למשה נביא מן יומין קדמאין דאי לא נטרין בני ישראל ית פקודיא דיי עתיד לאתפרע מנהון פגר ולא חס ואחדי עליך בעיל דבבא ארים יקר מעיקיך:
meyqyk yqr arym dbba beyl elyk wakhdy khs wla pgr mnhwn lathpre ethyd dyy pqwdya yth yshral bny nTryn la day qdmayn ywmyn mn nbya lmshh pqyd dy pwmyh mymr gmr dkhshyb mh yy ebd
Yahweh has done that which he planned. He has fulfilled his word that he commanded in the days of old. He has thrown down, and has not pitied. He has caused the enemy to rejoice over you. He has exalted the horn of your adversaries.

צוח לבהון קדם יי דרחים עליהון שורא יקרא דציון זילגי כנחלא דמעין ימם וליליא לא תתנין תנחומין לצעריך לפיגא צלותא די לך ולא תשתוק עינך מלמדמע:
mlmdme eynk thshthwq wla lk dy tslwtha lpyga ltseryk thnkhwmyn ththnyn la wlylya ymm dmeyn knkhla zylgy dtsywn yqra shwra elyhwn drkhym yy qdm lbhwn tswkh
Their heart cried to the Lord. O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night. Give yourself no relief. Don’t let your eyes rest.

קומי כנשתא דישראל דשריא בגלותא עסוקי במשנה בליליא ארום שכינתא דיי שריא לקבליך ובפתגמי אורייתא כשירוי שפרפרא שדיא היך מיא עקמומית לביך והדרי בתיובתא וצלאי בבית כנשתא כל קבל אפי יי טולי לותיה בצלו ידיך על נפשת עולמיך דצחין בכפנא בריש כל מחוזין:
mkhwzyn kl brysh bkpna dtskhyn ewlmyk npshth el ydyk btslw lwthyh Twly yy apy qbl kl knshtha bbyth wtslay bthywbtha whdry lbyk eqmwmyth mya hyk shdya shprpra kshyrwy awryytha wbpthgmy lqblyk shrya dyy shkyntha arwm blylya bmshnh eswqy bglwtha dshrya dyshral knshtha qwmy
Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches! Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift up your hands toward him for the life of your young children, who faint for hunger at the head of every street.

חזי יי ותהי מסתכל מן שמיא למן איסתקיפתא כדנן אם חזי לבנתא דישראל למיכל פירי בטניהון עולמיא רגיגתא דהוו מלפפין בסדינין דמלתיה ענת מדת דינא וכן אמרת אם חזי למקטל בבית מוקדשא דיי כהנא ונביא כמה דקטלתון ית זכריה בר עידו כהנא רבא ונביא מהימן בבית מוקדשא דיי ביומא דכפוריא על דאוכח יתכון דלא תעבדון דביש קדם יי:
yy qdm dbysh thebdwn dla ythkwn dawkkh el dkpwrya bywma dyy mwqdsha bbyth mhymn wnbya rba khna eydw br zkryh yth dqTlthwn kmh wnbya khna dyy mwqdsha bbyth lmqTl khzy am amrth wkn dyna mdth enth dmlthyh bsdynyn mlppyn dhww rgygtha ewlmya bTnyhwn pyry lmykl dyshral lbntha khzy am kdnn aysthqyptha lmn shmya mn msthkl wthhy yy khzy
“Look, Yahweh, and see to whom you have done thus! Should the women eat their offspring, the children that they held and bounced on their knees? Should the priest and the prophet be killed in the sanctuary of the Lord?

דמכו על ארעא במחוזין עולימיא וסביא דהוו רגילין למשכוב על כרין דמילת ועל ערסין דשן דפיל בתולתי ורובי נפלו קטילין בחרבא קטלתא ביום רוגזך נכיסתא ולא חסתא:
khstha wla nkystha rwgzk bywm qTltha bkhrba qTylyn nplw wrwby bthwlthy dpyl dshn ersyn wel dmylth kryn el lmshkwb rgylyn dhww wsbya ewlymya bmkhwzyn area el dmkw
“The youth and the old man lie on the ground in the streets. My virgins and my young men have fallen by the sword. You have killed them in the day of your anger. You have slaughtered, and not pitied.

תהי קרי חירותא לעמך בית ישראל על יד משיחא היכמא דעבדת על יד משה ואהרן ביומא דפסחא דאתכנשין עולימי חזור חזור מן כל אתר דאתבדרו תמן ביומא תקיף רוגזך יי ולא הוה בהון שיזבא ושארא דלפיפית בסדינין ודרביתי בתפנוקי מלכין בעלי דבבי שיציאונון:
shytsyawnwn dbby bely mlkyn bthpnwqy wdrbythy bsdynyn dlpypyth wshara shyzba bhwn hwh wla yy rwgzk thqyp bywma thmn dathbdrw athr kl mn khzwr khzwr ewlymy dathknshyn dpskha bywma wahrn mshh yd el debdth hykma mshykha yd el yshral byth lemk khyrwtha qry thhy
“You have called, as in the day of a solemn assembly, my terrors on every side. There was no one that escaped or remained in the day of Yahweh’s anger. My enemy has consumed those whom I have cared for and brought up.
