וקם בתר אבימלך למפרק ית ישראל תולע בר פואה בר דודו גברא משבטא דבית יששכר והוא יתיב בשמיר בטורא דבית אפרים:
aprym dbyth bTwra bshmyr ythyb whwa yshshkr dbyth mshbTa gbra dwdw br pwah br thwle yshral yth lmprq abymlk bthr wqm
After Abimelech, Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar, arose to save Israel. He lived in Shamir in the hill country of Ephraim.

ודן ית ישראל עסרין ותלת שנין ומית ואתקבר בשמיר:
bshmyr wathqbr wmyth shnyn wthlth esryn yshral yth wdn
He judged Israel twenty-three years, and died, and was buried in Shamir.

וקם בתרוהי יאיר גלעדאה ודן ית ישראל עסרין ותרתין שנין:
shnyn wthrthyn esryn yshral yth wdn gledah yayr bthrwhy wqm
After him Jair, the Gileadite, arose. He judged Israel twenty-two years.

והוו ליה תלתין בנין רכיבין על תלתין עולין ותלתין קרוין להון להון קרן כפרני יאיר עד יומא הדין די בארעא דגלעד:
dgled barea dy hdyn ywma ed yayr kprny qrn lhwn lhwn qrwyn wthlthyn ewlyn thlthyn el rkybyn bnyn thlthyn lyh whww
He had thirty sons who rode on thirty donkey colts. They had thirty cities, which are called Havvoth Jair to this day, which are in the land of Gilead.

ואוסיפו בני ישראל למעבד דביש קדם יי ופלחו ית בעליא וית עשתרתא וית טעות ארם וית טעות צידון וית טעות מואב וית טעות בני עמון וית טעות פלשתאי ושבקו ית פולחנא דיי ולא פלחו קדמוהי:
qdmwhy plkhw wla dyy pwlkhna yth wshbqw plshthay Tewth wyth emwn bny Tewth wyth mwab Tewth wyth tsydwn Tewth wyth arm Tewth wyth eshthrtha wyth belya yth wplkhw yy qdm dbysh lmebd yshral bny wawsypw
The children of Israel again did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, and served the Baals, the Ashtaroth, the gods of Syria, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines. They abandoned Yahweh, and didn’t serve him.

ותקיף רוגזא דיי בישראל ומסרינון ביד פלשתאי וביד בני עמון:
emwn bny wbyd plshthay byd wmsrynwn byshral dyy rwgza wthqyp
Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of the Philistines and into the hand of the children of Ammon.

ודחקו ושעבידו ית בני ישראל בשתא ההיא תמניא עסרי שנין ית כל בני ישראל דבעברא דירדנא בארעא אמוראה די בגלעד:
bgled dy amwrah barea dyrdna dbebra yshral bny kl yth shnyn esry thmnya hhya bshtha yshral bny yth wshebydw wdkhqw
They troubled and oppressed the children of Israel that year. For eighteen years they oppressed all the children of Israel that were beyond the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.

ועברו בני עמון ית ירדנא לאגחא קרבא אף ביהודה ובדבית בנימין ובדבית אפרים ועקת לישראל לחדא:
lkhda lyshral weqth aprym wbdbyth bnymyn wbdbyth byhwdh ap qrba lagkha yrdna yth emwn bny webrw
The children of Ammon passed over the Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim, so that Israel was very distressed.

וזעיקו בני ישראל קדם יי למימר חבנא קדמך וארי שבקנא ית פולחנא דיי אלהנא ופלחנא ית בעליא:
belya yth wplkhna alhna dyy pwlkhna yth shbqna wary qdmk khbna lmymr yy qdm yshral bny wzeyqw
The children of Israel cried to Yahweh, saying, “We have sinned against you, even because we have forsaken our God, and have served the Baals.”

ואמר יי לבני ישראל הלא ממצרים ומן אמוראה ומן בני עמון ומפלשתאי:
wmplshthay emwn bny wmn amwrah wmn mmtsrym hla yshral lbny yy wamr
Yahweh said to the children of Israel, “Didn’t I save you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?

וצידונאי ועמלקאי ואנשי מעון דחקו יתכון ובעיתון קדמי ופרקית יתכון מידיהון:
mydyhwn ythkwn wprqyth qdmy wbeythwn ythkwn dkhqw mewn wanshy wemlqay wtsydwnay
The Sidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, oppressed you; and you cried to me, and I saved you out of their hand.

ואתון שבקתון פולחני ופלחתון לטעות עממיא בכן לא אוסיף למפרק יתכון:
ythkwn lmprq awsyp la bkn emmya lTewth wplkhthwn pwlkhny shbqthwn wathwn
Yet you have forsaken me and served other gods. Therefore I will save you no more.

אזילו ובעו מן טעותא דאיתרעיתון בהון האם יכלין למפרקכון בעידן עקתכון:
eqthkwn beydn lmprqkwn yklyn ham bhwn daythreythwn Tewtha mn wbew azylw
Go and cry to the gods which you have chosen. Let them save you in the time of your distress!”

ואמרו בני ישראל קדם יי חבנא עביד את לנא ככל דתקין קדמך ברם שיזבנא כען יומא דין:
dyn ywma ken shyzbna brm qdmk dthqyn kkl lna ath ebyd khbna yy qdm yshral bny wamrw
The children of Israel said to Yahweh, “We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems good to you; only deliver us, please, today.”

ואעדיאו ית טעות עממיא מביניהון ופלחו קדם יי ועקת נפשיה בעמל ישראל:
yshral beml npshyh weqth yy qdm wplkhw mbynyhwn emmya Tewth yth waedyaw
They put away the foreign gods from among them and served Yahweh; and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.

ואתכנישו בני עמון ושרו בגלעד ואתכנישו בני ישראל ושרו במצפה:
bmtsph wshrw yshral bny wathknyshw bgled wshrw emwn bny wathknyshw
Then the children of Ammon were gathered together and encamped in Gilead. The children of Israel assembled themselves together and encamped in Mizpah.

ואמרו עמא רברבי גלעד גבר לחבריה מן גברא דישרי לאגחא קרבא בבני עמון יהי לריש לכל יתבי גלעד:
gled ythby lkl lrysh yhy emwn bbny qrba lagkha dyshry gbra mn lkhbryh gbr gled rbrby ema wamrw
The people, the princes of Gilead, said to one another, “Who is the man who will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? He shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.”
