ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܝܫܘܥ ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠ ܘܠܐ ܬܙܘܥ ܕܒܪ ܥܡܟ ܠܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܘܥܒܕ ܩܪܒܐ ܘܩܘܡ ܣܩ ܠܥܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܫ̇ܠܡܬܗ ܒܐ̈ܝܕܝܟ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܕܥܝ ܘܠܥܡܗ ܘܠܡܕܝܢܬܗ ܘܠܐܪܥܗ

Yahweh said to Joshua, “Don’t be afraid, and don’t be dismayed. Take all the warriors with you, and arise, go up to Ai. Behold, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, with his people, his city, and his land.

ܘܥܒܕ ܠܥܝ ܘܠܡܠܟܗ̇ ܐܝܟ ܕܥܒܕܬ ܠܐܝܪܝܚܘ ܘܠܡܠܟܗ̇ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܕܝܢ ܒܙܬܐ ܘܒܥܝܪܐ ܒܘܙܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܘܐܟܡܢܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܟܡܐܢܐ ܡܢ ܒܣܬܪܗ̇ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ
dmdynth' bsthrh mn km'n' lkwn w'kmnw lkwn bwzw wbeyr' bzth' dyn blkhwd wlmlkh l'yrykhw debdth 'yk wlmlkh ley webd
You shall do to Ai and her king as you did to Jericho and her king, except you shall take its goods and its livestock for yourselves. Set an ambush for the city behind it.”

ܘܩܡ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܝ ܩܪܒܐ ܠܡܣܩ ܠܥܝ ܘܓܒܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܬܠܬܐ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܝܢ ܕܓܢܒܪ̈ܝܢ ܒܚܝܠܗܘܢ ܘܫܕܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܠܠܝܐ
blly' 'nwn wshdr bkhylhwn dgnbryn gbryn 'lpyn thlth' yshwe wgb' ley lmsq qrb' ebdy em' wklh yshwe wqm
So Joshua arose, with all the warriors, to go up to Ai. Joshua chose thirty thousand men, the mighty men of valor, and sent them out by night.

ܘܦܩܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܚܙܘ ܡܐ ܕܟ̇ܡܢܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܥܠ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܡܢ ܒܣܬܪܗ̇ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܠܐ ܬܪܚܩܘܢ ܛܒ ܡܢܗ̇ ܡܢ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܡܛܝܒܝܢ ܟܠܟܘܢ
klkwn mTybyn whwythwn mdynth' mn mnh Tb thrkhqwn l' dmdynth' bsthrh mn mdynth' el 'nthwn dkmnyn m' khzw lhwn w'mr 'nwn wpqd
He commanded them, saying, “Behold, you shall lie in ambush against the city, behind the city. Don’t go very far from the city, but all of you be ready.

ܘܐܢܐ ܘܥܡܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܥܡܝ ܢܬܩܪܒ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܡܐ ܕܢܦܩܘ ܠܐܘܪܥܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܒܩܕܡܝܬܐ ܗܐ ܥ̇ܪܩܝܢܢ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝܗܘܢ
qdmyhwn mn erqynn h' dbqdmyth' 'yk l'wren dnpqw wm' lmdynth' nthqrb emy d'yth wem' w'n'
I and all the people who are with me will approach the city. It shall happen, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them.

ܘܢ̇ܦܩܝܢ ܒܬܪܢ ܘܪܕܦ̇ܝܢ ܠܢ ܡܢ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܐ̇ܡܪܝܢ ܕܥ̇ܪܩܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܒܩܕܡܝܬܐ. ܘܚܢܢ ܗܐ ܥ̇ܪܩܝܢܢ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝܗܘܢ.
qdmyhwn mn erqynn h' wkhnn dbqdmyth' 'yk qdmyn mn 'nwn derqyn d'mryn mTl mdynth' mn ln wrdpyn bthrn wnpqyn
They will come out after us until we have drawn them away from the city; for they will say, ‘They flee before us, like the first time.’ So we will flee before them,

ܘܐܢܬܘܢ ܩܘܡܘ ܡܢ ܟܡܐܢܟܘܢ ܘܚܘܪܒܘܗ̇ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܢܫܠܡܝܗ̇ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܟܘܢ ܒܐ̈ܝܕܝܟܘܢ
b'ydykwn 'lhkwn mry' wnshlmyh lmdynth' wkhwrbwh km'nkwn mn qwmw w'nthwn
and you shall rise up from the ambush, and take possession of the city; for Yahweh your God will deliver it into your hand.

ܘܡܐ ܕܐܚܕܬܘܢܗ̇ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܐܘܩܕܘܗ̇ ܒܢܘܪܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܡܠܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܥܒܕܘ ܘܚܙܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܦܩ̇ܕܬܟܘܢ
dpqdthkwn dyn wkhzw ebdw dmry' mlthh w'yk bnwr' 'wqdwh lmdynth' d'khdthwnh wm'
It shall be, when you have seized the city, that you shall set the city on fire. You shall do this according to Yahweh’s word. Behold, I have commanded you.”

ܘܫܕܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܙܠܘ ܠܒܝܬ ܟܡܐܢܐ ܘܐܝܬܒܘ ܒܝܢܬ ܒܝܬ ܐܝܠ ܠܥܝ ܡܢ ܡܥܪܒܝܗ̇ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܒܬ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܠܠܝܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܒܓܘ ܥܡܐ
em' bgw hw blly' yshwe wbth dmdynth' merbyh mn ley 'yl byth bynth w'ythbw km'n' lbyth w'zlw yshwe 'nwn wshdr
Joshua sent them out; and they went to set up the ambush, and stayed between Bethel and Ai on the west side of Ai; but Joshua stayed among the people that night.

ܘܩ̇ܕܡ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܨܦܪܐ ܘܡܢܝܗܝ ܠܥܡܐ ܘܣܠܩ ܗܘ ܘܣ̈ܒܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܥܝ ܩܕܡ ܥܡܐ

Joshua rose up early in the morning, mustered the people, and went up, he and the elders of Israel, before the people to Ai.

ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܩܪ̈ܒܬܢܐ ܕܥܡܗ ܣܠܩܘ ܘܩܪܒܘ ܠܩܘܒܠܗ̇ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܫܪܘ ܡܢ ܓܪܒܝܝܗ̇ ܕܥܝ ܘܢܚܠܐ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ ܠܥܝ
ley bynthhwn hw' 'yth wnkhl' dey grbyyh mn wshrw dmdynth' lqwblh wqrbw slqw demh qrbthn' gbr' wklhwn
All the people, even the men of war who were with him, went up and came near, and came before the city and encamped on the north side of Ai. Now there was a valley between him and Ai.

ܘܕܒܪ ܝܫܘܥ ܚܡܫܐ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܝܢ ܘܐܘܬܒ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܟܡܐܢܐ ܒܝܢܬ ܒܝܬ ܐܝܠ ܠܥܝ ܡܢ ܡܥܪܒܝܗ̇ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ
dmdynth' merbyh mn ley 'yl byth bynth bkm'n' 'nwn w'wthb gbryn 'lpyn khmsh' yshwe wdbr
He took about five thousand men, and set them in ambush between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of the city.

ܘܥܒܕܗ ܠܥܡܗ ܘܠܟܠܗ̇ ܡܫܪܝܬܗ ܡܢ ܓܪܒܝܝܗ̇ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܢܛܪ̈ܝ ܥܩܒܐ ܡܢ ܡܥܪܒܝܗ̇ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܐܙܠ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܠܠܝܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܒܓܘ ܥܡܐ
em' bgw hw blly' yshwe w'zl dmdynth' merbyh mn eqb' wnTry dmdynth' grbyyh mn mshrythh wlklh lemh webdh
So they set the people, even all the army who was on the north of the city, and their ambush on the west of the city; and Joshua went that night into the middle of the valley.

ܘܟܕ ܚܙܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܥܝ ܐܣܬܪܗܒ ܘܩܡܘ ܢܦܩܘ ܐ̈ܢܫܝܗ̇ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܠܐܘܪܥܗ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܗܘܘ ܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܕܥܝ ܒܦܩܥܬܐ ܘܥܡܐ ܠܐ ܝ̇ܕܥ ܗܘܐ ܕܟܡܐܢܐ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܒܣܬܪܗ̇ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ

When the king of Ai saw it, they hurried and rose up early, and the men of the city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people, at the time appointed, before the Arabah; but he didn’t know that there was an ambush against him behind the city.

ܘܐܬܒܕܪ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܟܠܗ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝܗܘܢ ܠܡܥܪܩ ܒܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܡܕܒܪܐ
dmdbr' b'wrkh' lmerq qdmyhwn mn 'ysryl wklh yshwe w'thbdr
Joshua and all Israel made as if they were beaten before them, and fled by the way of the wilderness.

ܘܩܥܐ ܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܕܥܝ ܠܡܪܕܦ ܒܬܪܗܘܢ ܘܪܕܦܘ ܒܬܪ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܣܬܪܩܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ
mdynth' mn lhwn w'sthrqw yshwe bthr wrdpw bthrhwn lmrdp dey em' klh wqe'
All the people who were in the city were called together to pursue after them. They pursued Joshua, and were drawn away from the city.

ܘܠܐ ܐܫܬܚܪ ܐܢܫ ܒܥܝ ܘܒܒܝܬ ܐܝܠ ܕܠܐ ܢܦܩܘ ܒܬܪ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܫܒܩܘܗ̇ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܟܕ ܦܬܝܚܐ ܘܪܕܦܘ ܒܬܪ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ
'ysryl bthr wrdpw pthykh' kd lmdynth' wshbqwh 'ysryl bthr npqw dl' 'yl wbbyth bey 'nsh 'shthkhr wl'
There was not a man left in Ai or Bethel who didn’t go out after Israel. They left the city open, and pursued Israel.

ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܝܫܘܥ ܐܪܝܡ ܒܢܝܙܟܐ ܕܒܐܝܕܟ ܥܠ ܥܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܐ̈ܝܕܝܟ ܐܫ̇ܠܡܬܗ̇ ܘܐܪܝܡ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܢܝܙܟܐ ܕܐܚܝܕ ܗܘܐ ܒܐܝܕܗ ܥܠ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ
mdynth' el b'ydh hw' d'khyd bnyzk' yshwe w'rym 'shlmthh db'ydyk mTl ey el db'ydk bnyzk' 'rym lyshwe mry' w'mr
Yahweh said to Joshua, “Stretch out the javelin that is in your hand toward Ai, for I will give it into your hand.” Joshua stretched out the javelin that was in his hand toward the city.

ܘܟܡܐܢܐ ܩܡ ܡܣܪܗܒܐܝܬ ܡܢ ܕܘܟܬܗ ܘܪܗܛܘ ܚܦܝܛܐܝܬ ܐܝܟ ܡܦܢܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܘܥܠܘ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܐܚܕܘܗ̇ ܘܐܣܬܪܗܒܘ ܘܐܘܩܕܘܗ̇ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܒܢܘܪܐ
bnwr' lmdynth' w'wqdwh w'sthrhbw w'khdwh lmdynth' welw 'yd' mpn' 'yk khpyT'yth wrhTw dwkthh mn msrhb'yth qm wkm'n'
The ambush arose quickly out of their place, and they ran as soon as he had stretched out his hand and entered into the city and took it. They hurried and set the city on fire.

ܘܐܬܦܢܝܘ ܐܢܫܐ ܕܥܝ ܠܒܣܬܪܗܘܢ ܘܚܙܘ ܕܣ̇ܠܩ ܬܢܢܗ̇ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܗܘܢ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܫܡܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܘܦܝܘ ܠܡܥܪܩ ܠܟܐ ܘܠܟܐ ܘܥܡܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܥ̇ܪܩ ܗܘܐ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܐܬܗܦܟ ܥܠ ܪ̈ܕܘܦܘܗܝ

When the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this way or that way. The people who fled to the wilderness turned back on the pursuers.

ܘܝܫܘܥ ܘܟܠܗ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܚܙܘ ܕܟܒܫܗ̇ ܟܡܐܢܐ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܣܠܩ ܬܢܢܗ̇ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܗܦܟܘ ܘܚܪܒܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܐ̈ܢܫܝܗ̇ ܕܥܝ
dey l'nshyh 'nwn wkhrbw whpkw dmdynth' thnnh wslq lmdynth' km'n' dkbshh khzw 'ysryl wklh wyshwe
When Joshua and all Israel saw that the ambush had taken the city, and that the smoke of the city ascended, then they turned back and killed the men of Ai.

ܘܗܠܝܢ ܢܦܩܘ ܡܢ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܠܐܘܪܥܗܘܢ ܘܗܘܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܐ̈ܢܫܝܗ̇ ܕܥܝ ܒܡܨܥܬܗ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܗܠܝܢ ܡܟܐ ܘܗܠܝܢ ܡܟܐ ܘܚܪܒܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܣܪܝܕܐ ܠܐ ܫܒܩܘ ܠܗܘܢ
lhwn shbqw l' wsryd' 'nwn wkhrbw mk' whlyn mk' whlyn d'ysryl bmtsethh dey 'nshyh lhwn whww l'wrehwn mdynth' mn npqw whlyn
The others came out of the city against them, so they were in the middle of Israel, some on this side, and some on that side. They struck them, so that they let none of them remain or escape.

ܘܠܡܠܟܐ ܕܥܝ ܐܚܕܘܗܝ ܟܕ ܚܝ ܘܩܪܒܘܗܝ ܠܘܬ ܝܫܘܥ
yshwe lwth wqrbwhy khy kd 'khdwhy dey wlmlk'
They captured the king of Ai alive, and brought him to Joshua.

ܘܟܕ ܓܡܪ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܡܚܪܒ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܘܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܕܥܝ ܒܚܩ̈ܠܬܐ ܘܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܪܕܦ̇ܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܢܦܠܘ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܦܘܡܐ ܕܚܪܒܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܓܡܪܘ ܘܗܦܟܘ ܟܠܗ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܥܝ ܘܚܪܒܘܗ̇ ܒܦܘܡܐ ܕܚܪܒܐ
dkhrb' bpwm' wkhrbwh ley 'ysryl klh whpkw dgmrw edm' dkhrb' bpwm' klhwn wnplw lhwn hww rdpyn wbmdbr' bkhqlth' dey emwryh lklhwn lmkhrb 'ysryl gmr wkd
When Israel had finished killing all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the wilderness in which they pursued them, and they had all fallen by the edge of the sword until they were consumed, all Israel returned to Ai and struck it with the edge of the sword.

ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܕܢܦܠܘ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܡܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܢܫ̈ܐ ܬܪܥܣܪ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܟܘܠܗܘܢ ܐ̈ܢܫܐ ܕܥܝ
dey 'nsh' kwlhwn 'lpyn thresr lnsh' wedm' gbr' mn hw bywm' dnplw wklhwn
All that fell that day, both of men and women, were twelve thousand, even all the people of Ai.

ܘܝܫܘܥ ܠܐ ܐܗܦܟ ܐܝܕܗ ܕܐܪܝܡ ܗܘܐ ܒܢܝܙܟܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܚܪܒ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܟܘܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܘܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܕܥܝ
dey emwryh lkwlhwn 'nwn dkhrb edm' bnyzk' hw' d'rym 'ydh 'hpk l' wyshwe
For Joshua didn’t draw back his hand, with which he stretched out the javelin, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.

ܒܠܚܘܕ ܒܥܝܪܐ ܘܒܙܬܐ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܗ̇ܝ ܒܙܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܐܝܟ ܡܠܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܕܦܩܕ ܠܝܫܘܥ
lyshwe dpqd dmry' mlthh 'yk 'ysryl bny lhwn bzw hy dmdynth' wbzth' beyr' blkhwd
Israel took for themselves only the livestock and the goods of that city, according to Yahweh’s word which he commanded Joshua.

ܘܐܘܩܕܗ̇ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܥܝ ܘܥܒܕܗ̇ ܬܠܠܐ ܚܪܒܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ
lywmn' edm' lelm khrb' thll' webdh ley yshwe w'wqdh
So Joshua burned Ai and made it a heap forever, even a desolation, to this day.

ܘܠܡܠܟܗ̇ ܕܥܝ ܙܩܦܗ ܥܠ ܩܝܣܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܙܒܢܐ ܕܪܡܫܐ ܘܟܕ ܥܪܒܬ ܫܡܫܐ ܦܩܕ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܚܬܘܗ̇ ܠܫܠܕܐ ܡܢ ܩܝܣܐ ܘܐܪܡܝܘܗ̇ ܒܡܥܠܢܐ ܕܬܪܥܐ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܐܩܝܡܘ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܝܓܪܐ ܕܟܐ̈ܦܐ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܬܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ

He hanged the king of Ai on a tree until the evening. At sundown, Joshua commanded, and they took his body down from the tree and threw it at the entrance of the gate of the city, and raised a great heap of stones on it that remains to this day.

Then Joshua built an altar to Yahweh, the God of Israel, on Mount Ebal,

ܐܝܟ ܕܦܩܕ ܡܘܫܐ ܥܒܕܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܠܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܐܝܟ ܕܟܬܝܒ ܒܣܦܪܐ ܕܢܡܘܣܐ ܕܡܘܫܐ ܡܕܒܚܐ ܕܟܐ̈ܦܐ ܫ̈ܠܡܠܡܬܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܦܠ ܥܠܝܗܝܢ ܦܪܙܠܐ ܘܩܪܒܘ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܝܩ̈ܕܐ ܫ̈ܠܡܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܘܕܒܚܘ ܕܒܚܬܐ

as Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses: an altar of uncut stones, on which no one had lifted up any iron. They offered burnt offerings on it to Yahweh and sacrificed peace offerings.

ܘܟܬܒ ܬܡܢ ܥܠ ܟܐ̈ܦܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܡܕܒܚܐ ܦܪܫܓܢܐ ܕܢܡܘܣܗ ܕܡܘܫܐ ܕܟܬܒ ܩܕܡ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ
'ysr'yl bny qdm dkthb dmwsh' dnmwsh prshgn' dmdbkh' hlyn k'p' el thmn wkthb
He wrote there on the stones a copy of Moses’ law, which he wrote in the presence of the children of Israel.

ܘܟܠܗ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܩܫܝܫ̈ܘܗܝ ܘܣܦܪ̈ܘܗܝ ܘܕܝܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܩ̇ܝܡܝܢ ܡܟܐ ܘܡܟܐ ܡܢ ܬܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܣܛܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܕܩܒܘܬܐ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܟܗ̈ܢܐ ܘܠܘ̈ܝܐ ܕܫܩܝܠܝܢ ܩܒܘܬܐ ܕܕܝܬܩܐ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܦܠܓܗܘܢ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܛܘܪܐ ܕܓܪܙܝܡ ܘܦܠܓܗܘܢ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܛܘܪܐ ܕܓܒܠ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܦܩܕ ܡܘܫܐ ܥܒܕܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܒܪܟܘ ܠܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ

All Israel, with their elders, officers, and judges, stood on both sides of the ark before the Levitical priests, who carried the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, the foreigner as well as the native; half of them in front of Mount Gerizim, and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the servant of Yahweh had commanded at the first, that they should bless the people of Israel.

ܘܡܢ ܒܬܪܟܢ ܩܪܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܦܬ̈ܓܡܘܗܝ ܕܢܡܘܣܐ ܒܘܪ̈ܟܬܐ ܘܠܘ̈ܛܬܐ ܟܘܠܗܝܢ ܕܟܬܝ̈ܒܢ ܒܣܦܪܐ ܕܢܡܘܣܐ

Afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, according to all that is written in the book of the law.

ܠܐ ܫܒܩ ܚܕܐ ܡܠܬܐ ܡܢ ܟܠ ܕܦܩܕ ܡܘܫܐ ܕܠܐ ܩܪܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܩܕܡ ܟܠܗ̇ ܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܩܕܡ ܢܫ̈ܐ ܘܩܕܡ ܛ̈ܠܝܐ ܘܩܕܡ ܬܘ̈ܬܒܐ ܕܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ

There was not a word of all that Moses commanded which Joshua didn’t read before all the assembly of Israel, with the women, the little ones, and the foreigners who were among them.
