מליל עם בני ישראל למימר הבו לכון ית קרוי שיזבותא דמלילית עמכון בידא דמשה:
dmshh byda emkwn dmlylyth shyzbwtha qrwy yth lkwn hbw lmymr yshral bny em mlyl
“Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Assign the cities of refuge, of which I spoke to you by Moses,

למערוק לתמן קטולא דיקטול נפשא בשלו בלא מדעיה ויהוין לכון לשזבא מגאל דמא:
dma mgal lshzba lkwn wyhwyn mdeyh bla bshlw npsha dyqTwl qTwla lthmn lmerwq
that the man slayer who kills any person accidentally or unintentionally may flee there. They shall be to you for a refuge from the avenger of blood.

ויערוק לחדא מקרויא האלין ויקום במעלנא דתרע קרתא וימליל קדם סבי קרתא ההיא ית פתגמוהי ויכנשון יתיה לקרתא לותהון ויתנון ליה אתר ויתיב עמהון:
emhwn wythyb athr lyh wythnwn lwthhwn lqrtha ythyh wyknshwn pthgmwhy yth hhya qrtha sby qdm wymlyl qrtha dthre bmelna wyqwm halyn mqrwya lkhda wyerwq
He shall flee to one of those cities, and shall stand at the entrance of the gate of the city, and declare his case in the ears of the elders of that city. They shall take him into the city with them, and give him a place, that he may live among them.

וארי ירדוף גאל דמא בתרוהי ולא ימסרון ית קטולא בידיה ארי בלא מדעיה קטל ית חבריה ולא שני הוא ליה מאתמלי ומדקדמוהי:
wmdqdmwhy mathmly lyh hwa shny wla khbryh yth qTl mdeyh bla ary bydyh qTwla yth ymsrwn wla bthrwhy dma gal yrdwp wary
If the avenger of blood pursues him, then they shall not deliver up the man slayer into his hand; because he struck his neighbor unintentionally, and didn’t hate him before.

ויתיב בקרתא ההיא עד דיקום קדם כנשתא לדינא עד דימות כהנא רבא די יהי ביומיא האינון בכן יתוב קטולא וייעול לקרתיה ולביתיה לקרתא די ערק מתמן:
mthmn erq dy lqrtha wlbythyh lqrthyh wyyewl qTwla ythwb bkn haynwn bywmya yhy dy rba khna dymwth ed ldyna knshtha qdm dyqwm ed hhya bqrtha wythyb
He shall dwell in that city until he stands before the congregation for judgment, until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days. Then the man slayer shall return, and come to his own city, and to his own house, to the city he fled from.’”

וזמינו ית קדש בגלילא בטורא דבית נפתלי וית שכם בטורא דבית אפרים וית קרית ארבע היא חברון בטורא דבית יהודה:
yhwdh dbyth bTwra khbrwn hya arbe qryth wyth aprym dbyth bTwra shkm wyth npthly dbyth bTwra bglyla qdsh yth wzmynw
They set apart Kedesh in Galilee in the hill country of Naphtali, Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim, and Kiriath Arba (also called Hebron) in the hill country of Judah.

ומעיברא לירדנא דיריחו מדינחא יהבו ית בצר במדברא במישרא משבטא דראובן וית ראמות בגלעד משבטא דגד וית גולן במתנן משבטא דמנשה:
dmnshh mshbTa bmthnn gwln wyth dgd mshbTa bgled ramwth wyth drawbn mshbTa bmyshra bmdbra btsr yth yhbw mdynkha dyrykhw lyrdna wmeybra
Beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness in the plain out of the tribe of Reuben, Ramoth in Gilead out of the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan out of the tribe of Manasseh.

אלין הואה קרויא דמזמנן לכל בני ישראל ולגיוריא די יתגיירון ביניהון למערק לתמן כל דיקטול נפשא בשלו ולא ימות בידא דגאיל דמא עד דיקום קדם כנשתא:
knshtha qdm dyqwm ed dma dgayl byda ymwth wla bshlw npsha dyqTwl kl lthmn lmerq bynyhwn ythgyyrwn dy wlgywrya yshral bny lkl dmzmnn qrwya hwah alyn
These were the appointed cities for all the children of Israel, and for the alien who lives among them, that whoever kills any person unintentionally might flee there, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stands trial before the congregation.
