והוה בתר דמית משה עבדא דיי ואמר יי ליהושע בר נון משמשוניה דמשה למימר:
lmymr dmshh mshmshwnyh nwn br lyhwshe yy wamr dyy ebda mshh dmyth bthr whwh
Now after the death of Moses the servant of Yahweh, Yahweh spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ servant, saying,

משה עבדי מית וכען קום עיבר ית ירדנא הדין את וכל עמא הדין לארעא דאנא יהיב להון לבני ישראל:
yshral lbny lhwn yhyb dana larea hdyn ema wkl ath hdyn yrdna yth eybr qwm wken myth ebdy mshh
“Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go across this Jordan, you and all these people, to the land which I am giving to them, even to the children of Israel.

כל אתרא דתדרך פרסת רגלכון ביה לכון יהבתה כמא דמלילית עם משה:
mshh em dmlylyth kma yhbthh lkwn byh rglkwn prsth dthdrk athra kl
I have given you every place that the sole of your foot will tread on, as I told Moses.

ממדברא ולבנונא הדין ועד נהרא רבא נהרא דפרת כל ארע חתאי ועד ימא רבא מעלני שמשא יהא תחומכון:
thkhwmkwn yha shmsha melny rba yma wed khthay are kl dprth nhra rba nhra wed hdyn wlbnwna mmdbra
From the wilderness and this Lebanon even to the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your border.

לא יתעתד אנש קדמך כל יומי חייך כמא דהוא מימרי בסעדיה דמשה כן אהוי עמך לא אשבקינך ולא ארחקינך:
arkhqynk wla ashbqynk la emk ahwy kn dmshh bsedyh mymry dhwa kma khyyk ywmy kl qdmk ansh ythethd la
No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you nor forsake you.

תקיף ועלם ארי את תחסין ית עמא הדין ית ארעא דקיימית לאבהתהון למתן להון:
lhwn lmthn labhthhwn dqyymyth area yth hdyn ema yth thkhsyn ath ary welm thqyp
“Be strong and courageous; for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

לחוד תקיף ועלם לחדא למטר למעבד ככל אוריתא דפקדך משה עבדי לא תסטי מיניה לימינא ולשמאלא בדיל דתצלח בכל אתר דתהך:
dthhk athr bkl dthtslkh bdyl wlshmala lymyna mynyh thsTy la ebdy mshh dpqdk awrytha kkl lmebd lmTr lkhda welm thqyp lkhwd
Only be strong and very courageous. Be careful to observe to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded you. Don’t turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.

לא יעדי סיפרא דאוריתא הדין מפומך ותהי הגי ביה יימם וליליא בדיל דתטר למעבד ככל דכתיב ביה ארי בכן תצלח ית דרכך ובכן תכשט:
thkshT wbkn drkk yth thtslkh bkn ary byh dkthyb kkl lmebd dthTr bdyl wlylya yymm byh hgy wthhy mpwmk hdyn dawrytha sypra yedy la
This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.

הלא פקידתך תקף ועלם לא תדחל ולא תתבר ארי בסעדך מימרא דיי אלהך בכל אתר דתהך:
dthhk athr bkl alhk dyy mymra bsedk ary ththbr wla thdkhl la welm thqp pqydthk hla
Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go.”

ופקיד יהושע ית סרכי עמא למימר:
lmymr ema srky yth yhwshe wpqyd
Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,

עברו בגו משריתא ופקידו ית עמא למימר אתקינו לכון זודין ארי בסוף תלתא יומין אתון עברין ית ירדנא הדין למיעל למירת ית ארעא דיי אלהכון יהיב לכון למירתה:
lmyrthh lkwn yhyb alhkwn dyy area yth lmyrth lmyel hdyn yrdna yth ebryn athwn ywmyn thltha bswp ary zwdyn lkwn athqynw lmymr ema yth wpqydw mshrytha bgw ebrw
“Pass through the middle of the camp, and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare food; for within three days you are to pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which Yahweh your God gives you to possess.’”

ולשבט ראובן ולשבט גד ולפלגות שבטא דמנשה אמר יהושע למימר:
lmymr yhwshe amr dmnshh shbTa wlplgwth gd wlshbT rawbn wlshbT
Joshua spoke to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, saying,

הוו דכירין ית פתגמא דפקיד יתכון משה עבדא דיי למימר יי אלהכון מניח לכון ויהב לכון ית ארעא הדא:
hda area yth lkwn wyhb lkwn mnykh alhkwn yy lmymr dyy ebda mshh ythkwn dpqyd pthgma yth dkyryn hww
“Remember the word which Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, saying, ‘Yahweh your God gives you rest, and will give you this land.

נשיכון טפליכון ובעירכון יתבון בארעא דיהב לכון משה בעברא דירדנא ואתון תעברון מזרזין קדם אחוכון כל גברי חילא ותסעדון יתהון:
ythhwn wthsedwn khyla gbry kl akhwkwn qdm mzrzyn thebrwn wathwn dyrdna bebra mshh lkwn dyhb barea ythbwn wbeyrkwn Tplykwn nshykwn
Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock shall live in the land which Moses gave you beyond the Jordan; but you shall pass over before your brothers armed, all the mighty men of valor, and shall help them

עד דיניח יי לאחוכון כותכון ויירתון אף אינון ית ארעא דיי אלהכון יהיב לכון ותתובון לארע ירותתכון ותירתון יתה דיהב לכון משה עבדא דיי בעברא דירדנא מדנח שמשא:
shmsha mdnkh dyrdna bebra dyy ebda mshh lkwn dyhb ythh wthyrthwn yrwththkwn lare wththwbwn lkwn yhyb alhkwn dyy area yth aynwn ap wyyrthwn kwthkwn lakhwkwn yy dynykh ed
until Yahweh has given your brothers rest, as he has given you, and they have also possessed the land which Yahweh your God gives them. Then you shall return to the land of your possession and possess it, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave you beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise.’”

ואתיבו ית יהושע למימר כל דפקדתנא נעבד ולכל אתר דתשלחננא נהך:
nhk dthshlkhnna athr wlkl nebd dpqdthna kl lmymr yhwshe yth wathybw
They answered Joshua, saying, “All that you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go.

ככל דקבלנא מן משה כן נקבל מנך לחוד יהי מימרא דיי אלהך בסעדך כמא דהוה בסעדיה דמשה:
dmshh bsedyh dhwh kma bsedk alhk dyy mymra yhy lkhwd mnk nqbl kn mshh mn dqblna kkl
Just as we listened to Moses in all things, so will we listen to you. Only may Yahweh your God be with you, as he was with Moses.

כל גבר דיסרב על מימרך ולא יקבל ית פתגמך לכל דתפקדניה יתקטיל לחוד תקף ועלם:
welm thqp lkhwd ythqTyl dthpqdnyh lkl pthgmk yth yqbl wla mymrk el dysrb gbr kl
Whoever rebels against your commandment, and doesn’t listen to your words in all that you command him shall himself be put to death. Only be strong and courageous.”
