ונפק עדבא לבני יוסף מירדנא דיריחו למיא יריחו מדינחא למדברא דסליק מיריחו בטורא לבית אל:
al lbyth bTwra myrykhw dslyq lmdbra mdynkha yrykhw lmya dyrykhw myrdna ywsp lbny edba wnpq
The lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill country to Bethel.

ונפק מבית אל ללוז ועבר לתחום ארכי לעטרות:
leTrwth arky lthkhwm webr llwz al mbyth wnpq
It went out from Bethel to Luz, and passed along to the border of the Archites to Ataroth;

ונחית לימא לתחום יפליט עד תחום בית חורון ארעאה ועד גזר והוון מפקנוהי לימא:
lyma mpqnwhy whwwn gzr wed areah khwrwn byth thkhwm ed yplyT lthkhwm lyma wnkhyth
and it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, to the border of Beth Horon the lower, and on to Gezer; and ended at the sea.

ואחסינו בני יוסף מנשה ואפרים:
waprym mnshh ywsp bny wakhsynw
The children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

והוה תחום בני אפרים לזרעיתהון והוה תחום אחסנתהון מדינחא עטרות אדר עד בית חורון עילאה:
eylah khwrwn byth ed adr eTrwth mdynkha akhsnthhwn thkhwm whwh lzreythhwn aprym bny thkhwm whwh
This was the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families. The border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth Addar, to Beth Horon the upper.

ונפק תחומא לימא למכמתת מצפונא ומסתחר תחומא ממדינחא לתאנת שלה ועבר ליה ממדנח לינוח:
lynwkh mmdnkh lyh webr shlh lthanth mmdynkha thkhwma wmsthkhr mtspwna lmkmthth lyma thkhwma wnpq
The border went out westward at Michmethath on the north. The border turned about eastward to Taanath Shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah.

ונחית מינוח לעטרות ולנערתה ומערע ביריחו ונפק לירדנא:
lyrdna wnpq byrykhw wmere wlnerthh leTrwth mynwkh wnkhyth
It went down from Janoah to Ataroth, to Naarah, reached to Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.

מתפוח אזיל תחומא לימא לנחלא דקנה והוון מפקנוהי לימא דא אחסנת שבטא דבני אפרים לזרעיתהון:
lzreythhwn aprym dbny shbTa akhsnth da lyma mpqnwhy whwwn dqnh lnkhla lyma thkhwma azyl mthpwkh
From Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and ended at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;

וקרויא דמפרשן לבני אפרים בנו אחסנת בני מנשה כל קרויא ופצחיהן:
wptskhyhn qrwya kl mnshh bny akhsnth bnw aprym lbny dmprshn wqrwya
together with the cities which were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the middle of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

ולא תריכו ית כנענאי דיתיב בגזר ויתיבו כנענאי בגו בית אפרים עד יומא הדין והוו למסקי מסין פלחין:
plkhyn msyn lmsqy whww hdyn ywma ed aprym byth bgw knenay wythybw bgzr dythyb knenay yth thrykw wla
They didn’t drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell in the territory of Ephraim to this day, and have become servants to do forced labor.
