ואלין דאחסינו בני ישראל בארעא דכנען דאחסינו יתהון אלעזר כהנא ויהושע בר נון ורישי אבהת שבטיא לבני ישראל:
yshral lbny shbTya abhth wryshy nwn br wyhwshe khna alezr ythhwn dakhsynw dknen barea yshral bny dakhsynw walyn
These are the inheritances which the children of Israel took in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed to them,

בעדבא אתפלגת להון אחסנתהון כמא דפקד יי בידא דמשה לתשעת שבטין ופלגות שבטא:
shbTa wplgwth shbTyn lthsheth dmshh byda yy dpqd kma akhsnthhwn lhwn athplgth bedba
by the lot of their inheritance, as Yahweh commanded by Moses, for the nine tribes, and for the half-tribe.

ארי יהב משה אחסנת תרין שבטין ופלגות שבטא מעיברא לירדנא וללואי לא יהב אחסנא ביניהון:
bynyhwn akhsna yhb la wllway lyrdna meybra shbTa wplgwth shbTyn thryn akhsnth mshh yhb ary
For Moses had given the inheritance of the two tribes and the half-tribe beyond the Jordan; but to the Levites he gave no inheritance among them.

ארי הוו בני יוסף תרין שבטין מנשה ואפרים ולא יהבו חולק ללואי בארעא אלהן קרוין למתב ורוחיהון לבעיריהון ולגיתיהון:
wlgythyhwn lbeyryhwn wrwkhyhwn lmthb qrwyn alhn barea llway khwlq yhbw wla waprym mnshh shbTyn thryn ywsp bny hww ary
For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim. They gave no portion to the Levites in the land, except cities to dwell in, with their pasture lands for their livestock and for their property.

כמא דפקד יי ית משה כן עבדו בני ישראל ופליגו ית ארעא:
area yth wplygw yshral bny ebdw kn mshh yth yy dpqd kma
The children of Israel did as Yahweh commanded Moses, and they divided the land.

וקריבו בני יהודה לות יהושע בגלגלא ואמר ליה כלב בר יפנה קניזאה את ידעתא ית פתגמא דמליל יי עם משה נביא דיי על עסק דילי ועל עסק דילך ברקם גיאה:
gyah brqm dylk esq wel dyly esq el dyy nbya mshh em yy dmlyl pthgma yth ydetha ath qnyzah ypnh br klb lyh wamr bglgla yhwshe lwth yhwdh bny wqrybw
Then the children of Judah came near to Joshua in Gilgal. Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him, “You know the thing that Yahweh spoke to Moses the man of God concerning me and concerning you in Kadesh Barnea.

בר ארבעין שנין אנא כד שלח משה עבדא דיי יתי מרקם גיאה לאללא ית ארעא ואתיבית יתיה פתגמא כמא דהוה עם לבי:
lby em dhwh kma pthgma ythyh wathybyth area yth lalla gyah mrqm ythy dyy ebda mshh shlkh kd ana shnyn arbeyn br
I was forty years old when Moses the servant of Yahweh sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land. I brought him word again as it was in my heart.

ואחי דסליקו עמי תברו ית לבא דעמא ואנא אשלמית בתר דחלתא דיי אלהי:
alhy dyy dkhltha bthr ashlmyth wana dema lba yth thbrw emy dslyqw wakhy
Nevertheless, my brothers who went up with me made the heart of the people melt; but I wholly followed Yahweh my God.

וקים משה ביומא ההוא למימר אם לא ארעא די דרכת פרסת רגלך בה דילך תהי לאחסנא ולבנך עד עלמא ארי אשלימתא בתר דחלתא דיי אלהי:
alhy dyy dkhltha bthr ashlymtha ary elma ed wlbnk lakhsna thhy dylk bh rglk prsth drkth dy area la am lmymr hhwa bywma mshh wqym
Moses swore on that day, saying, ‘Surely the land where you walked shall be an inheritance to you and to your children forever, because you have wholly followed Yahweh my God.’

וכען הא קיים יי יתי כמא די מליל דנן ארבעין וחמש שנין מעידן דמליל יי ית פתגמא הדין עם משה דאזל ישראל במדברא וכען הא אנא יומא דין בר תמנן וחמש שנין:
shnyn wkhmsh thmnn br dyn ywma ana ha wken bmdbra yshral dazl mshh em hdyn pthgma yth yy dmlyl meydn shnyn wkhmsh arbeyn dnn mlyl dy kma ythy yy qyym ha wken
“Now, behold, Yahweh has kept me alive, as he spoke, these forty-five years, from the time that Yahweh spoke this word to Moses, while Israel walked in the wilderness. Now, behold, I am eighty-five years old, today.

עד כען אנא יומא דין תקיף כדביומא דשלח יתי משה כחילי כבכן וכן חילי דכען לאגחא קרבא ולמפק ולמיעל:
wlmyel wlmpq qrba lagkha dken khyly wkn kbkn kkhyly mshh ythy dshlkh kdbywma thqyp dyn ywma ana ken ed
As yet I am as strong today as I was in the day that Moses sent me. As my strength was then, even so is my strength now for war, to go out and to come in.

וכען הב לי ית טורא הדין דמליל יי ביומא ההוא ארי את שמעתא ביומא ההוא ארי גברין תמן וקרוין רברבן כריכן מאים יהא מימרא דיי בסעדי ואירתינון כמא די מליל יי:
yy mlyl dy kma wayrthynwn bsedy dyy mymra yha maym krykn rbrbn wqrwyn thmn gbryn ary hhwa bywma shmetha ath ary hhwa bywma yy dmlyl hdyn Twra yth ly hb wken
Now therefore give me this hill country, of which Yahweh spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and great and fortified cities. It may be that Yahweh will be with me, and I shall drive them out, as Yahweh said.”

וברכיה יהושע ויהב ית חברון לכלב בר יפנה לאחסנא:
lakhsna ypnh br lklb khbrwn yth wyhb yhwshe wbrkyh
Joshua blessed him; and he gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for an inheritance.

על כן הות חברון לכלב בר יפנה קנזאה לאחסנא עד יומא הדין חלף דאשלם בתר דחלתא דיי אלהא דישראל:
dyshral alha dyy dkhltha bthr dashlm khlp hdyn ywma ed lakhsna qnzah ypnh br lklb khbrwn hwth kn el
Therefore Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he followed Yahweh, the God of Israel wholeheartedly.
