והוה כד שמע יבין מלכא דחצור ושלח לות יובב מלכא דמדון ולות מלכא דשמרון ולות מלכא דאכשף:
dakshp mlka wlwth dshmrwn mlka wlwth dmdwn mlka ywbb lwth wshlkh dkhtswr mlka ybyn shme kd whwh
When Jabin king of Hazor heard of it, he sent to Jobab king of Madon, to the king of Shimron, to the king of Achshaph,

ולות מלכיא דמצפונא בטורא ובמישרא דרום גינוסר ובשפלתא ובפלכי דור מערבא:
merba dwr wbplky wbshpltha gynwsr drwm wbmyshra bTwra dmtspwna mlkya wlwth
and to the kings who were on the north, in the hill country, in the Arabah south of Chinneroth, in the lowland, and in the heights of Dor on the west,

כנענאה ממדינחא וממערבא ואמוראה וחתאה ופריזאה ויבוסאה בטורא וחואה בשפולי חרמון בארע מצפיא:
mtspya bare khrmwn bshpwly wkhwah bTwra wybwsah wpryzah wkhthah wamwrah wmmerba mmdynkha knenah
to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite in the hill country, and the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpah.

ונפקו אינון וכל משריתהון עמהון עם סגי כחלא דעל כיף ימא לסגי וסוסון ורתיכון סגי לחדא:
lkhda sgy wrthykwn wswswn lsgy yma kyp del kkhla sgy em emhwn mshrythhwn wkl aynwn wnpqw
They went out, they and all their armies with them, many people, even as the sand that is on the seashore in multitude, with very many horses and chariots.

ואזדמנו כל מלכיא האילין ואתו ושרו כחדא על מי מרום לאגחא קרבא עם ישראל:
yshral em qrba lagkha mrwm my el kkhda wshrw wathw haylyn mlkya kl wazdmnw
All these kings met together; and they came and encamped together at the waters of Merom, to fight with Israel.

ואמר יי ליהושע לא תדחל מן קדמיהון ארי מחר כעידנא הדין אנא מסר ית כולהון קטילין קדם ישראל ית סוסותהון תעקר וית רתיכיהון תוקד בנורא:
bnwra thwqd rthykyhwn wyth theqr swswthhwn yth yshral qdm qTylyn kwlhwn yth msr ana hdyn keydna mkhr ary qdmyhwn mn thdkhl la lyhwshe yy wamr
Yahweh said to Joshua, “Don’t be afraid because of them; for tomorrow at this time, I will deliver them up all slain before Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”

ואתא יהושע וכל עמא עבדי קרבא עמיה עליהון ואינון שרן על מי מרום בתכיף ונפלו בהון:
bhwn wnplw bthkyp mrwm my el shrn waynwn elyhwn emyh qrba ebdy ema wkl yhwshe watha
So Joshua came suddenly, with all the warriors, against them by the waters of Merom, and attacked them.

ומסרינון יי בידא דישראל ומחונון ורדפונון עד צידון רבתא ועד חרצי ימא ועד בקעת מצפיא מדינחא ומחונון עד דלא אישתאר להון משזיב:
mshzyb lhwn ayshthar dla ed wmkhwnwn mdynkha mtspya bqeth wed yma khrtsy wed rbtha tsydwn ed wrdpwnwn wmkhwnwn dyshral byda yy wmsrynwn
Yahweh delivered them into the hand of Israel, and they struck them, and chased them to great Sidon, and to Misrephoth Maim, and to the valley of Mizpah eastward. They struck them until they left them no one remaining.

ועבד להון יהושע כמא דאמר ליה יי ית סוסותהון עקר וית רתיכיהון אוקד בנורא:
bnwra awqd rthykyhwn wyth eqr swswthhwn yth yy lyh damr kma yhwshe lhwn webd
Joshua did to them as Yahweh told him. He hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire.

ותב יהושע בעדנא ההיא וכבש ית חצור וית מלכה קטל בחרבא ארי חצור מלקדמין היא ריש כל מלכותא האלין:
halyn mlkwtha kl rysh hya mlqdmyn khtswr ary bkhrba qTl mlkh wyth khtswr yth wkbsh hhya bedna yhwshe wthb
Joshua turned back at that time, and took Hazor, and struck its king with the sword; for Hazor used to be the head of all those kingdoms.

ומחו ית כל נפשתא די בה לפתגם דחרב גמירא לא אשאר כל נשמא וית חצור אוקד בנורא:
bnwra awqd khtswr wyth nshma kl ashar la gmyra dkhrb lpthgm bh dy npshtha kl yth wmkhw
They struck all the souls who were in it with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them. There was no one left who breathed. He burned Hazor with fire.

וית כל קרוי מלכיא האילין וית כל מלכיהון כבש יהושע ומחנון לפתגם דחרב גמר יתהון כמא דפקד משה עבדא דיי:
dyy ebda mshh dpqd kma ythhwn gmr dkhrb lpthgm wmkhnwn yhwshe kbsh mlkyhwn kl wyth haylyn mlkya qrwy kl wyth
Joshua captured all the cities of those kings, with their kings, and he struck them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded.

לחוד כל קרויא דקימין על תוקפיהון לא אוקדינון ישראל אלהין ית חצור בלחודה אוקיד יהושע:
yhwshe awqyd blkhwdh khtswr yth alhyn yshral awqdynwn la thwqpyhwn el dqymyn qrwya kl lkhwd
But as for the cities that stood on their mounds, Israel burned none of them, except Hazor only. Joshua burned that.

וכל עדי קרויא האלין ובעירא בזו להון בני ישראל לחוד ית כל אנשא מחו לפתגם דחרב עד די שיציאו יתהון לא אשארו כל נשמא:
nshma kl asharw la ythhwn shytsyaw dy ed dkhrb lpthgm mkhw ansha kl yth lkhwd yshral bny lhwn bzw wbeyra halyn qrwya edy wkl
The children of Israel took all the plunder of these cities, with the livestock, as plunder for themselves; but every man they struck with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them. They didn’t leave any who breathed.

כמא דפקיד יי ית משה עבדיה כן פקד משה ית יהושע וכן עבד יהושע לא בטיל פתגמא מכל דפקיד יי ית משה:
mshh yth yy dpqyd mkl pthgma bTyl la yhwshe ebd wkn yhwshe yth mshh pqd kn ebdyh mshh yth yy dpqyd kma
As Yahweh commanded Moses his servant, so Moses commanded Joshua. Joshua did so. He left nothing undone of all that Yahweh commanded Moses.

ואחסין יהושע ית כל ארעא הדא טורא וית כל דרומא וית כל ארעא דגושן וית שפלתא וית מישרא וית טורא דישראל ושפלתיה:
wshplthyh dyshral Twra wyth myshra wyth shpltha wyth dgwshn area kl wyth drwma kl wyth Twra hda area kl yth yhwshe wakhsyn
So Joshua captured all that land, the hill country, all the South, all the land of Goshen, the lowland, the Arabah, the hill country of Israel, and the lowland of the same,

מן טורא פליגא דסליק לשעיר ועד מישר גד בבקעת לבנן שפולי טורא דחרמון וית כל מלכיהון כבש ומחנון וקטלינון:
wqTlynwn wmkhnwn kbsh mlkyhwn kl wyth dkhrmwn Twra shpwly lbnn bbqeth gd myshr wed lsheyr dslyq plyga Twra mn
from Mount Halak, that goes up to Seir, even to Baal Gad in the valley of Lebanon under Mount Hermon. He took all their kings, struck them, and put them to death.

יומין סגיאין עבד יהושע ית כל מלכיא האלין קרבא:
qrba halyn mlkya kl yth yhwshe ebd sgyayn ywmyn
Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.
19
לא הות קרתא דאשלימת עם בני ישראל אלהן חואה יתבי גבעון ית כולא נסיבו בקרבא:
bqrba nsybw kwla yth gbewn ythby khwah alhn yshral bny em dashlymth qrtha hwth la
There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, except the Hivites, the inhabitants of Gibeon. They took all in battle.

ארי מן קדם יי הות לתקפא ית לבהון לסדרא קרבא עם ישראל בדיל לגמרותהון בדיל דלא למהוי להון רחמין ארי בדיל לשציותהון כמא דפקד יי ית משה:
mshh yth yy dpqd kma lshtsywthhwn bdyl ary rkhmyn lhwn lmhwy dla bdyl lgmrwthhwn bdyl yshral em qrba lsdra lbhwn yth lthqpa hwth yy qdm mn ary
For it was of Yahweh to harden their hearts, to come against Israel in battle, that he might utterly destroy them, that they might have no favor, but that he might destroy them, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

ואתא יהושע בעדנא ההיא ושיצי ית גבריא מן טורא מן חברון מן דביר מן ענב ומכל טורא דיהודה ומכל טורא דישראל עם קרויהון גמרונון יהושע:
yhwshe gmrwnwn qrwyhwn em dyshral Twra wmkl dyhwdh Twra wmkl enb mn dbyr mn khbrwn mn Twra mn gbrya yth wshytsy hhya bedna yhwshe watha
Joshua came at that time, and cut off the Anakim from the hill country, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the hill country of Judah, and from all the hill country of Israel. Joshua utterly destroyed them with their cities.

לא אשתאר גבריא בארע בני ישראל לחוד בעזה בגת ובאשדוד אשתארו:
ashtharw wbashdwd bgth bezh lkhwd yshral bny bare gbrya ashthar la
There were none of the Anakim left in the land of the children of Israel. Only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, did some remain.

ונסיב יהושע ית כל ארעא ככל די מליל יי עם משה ויהבה יהושע לאחסנא לישראל כפלגותיהון לשבטיהון וארעא שדוכת מלמעבד קרבא:
qrba mlmebd shdwkth warea lshbTyhwn kplgwthyhwn lyshral lakhsna yhwshe wyhbh mshh em yy mlyl dy kkl area kl yth yhwshe wnsyb
So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that Yahweh spoke to Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. Then the land had rest from war.
