ܒܨܦܪܐ ܕܝܢ ܬܘܒ ܐܬܐ ܠܗܝܟܠܐ ܘܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܐܬܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܘܬܗ ܘܟܕ ܝܬܒ ܡܠܦ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ
lhwn hw' mlp ythb wkd lwthh hw' 'th' em' wklh lhykl' 'th' thwb dyn btspr'
Now very early in the morning, he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him. He sat down, and taught them.

ܐܝܬܝܘ ܕܝܢ ܣܦܪܐ ܘܦܪܝܫܐ ܠܐܢܬܬܐ ܕܐܬܬܚܕܬ ܒܓܘܪܐ ܘܟܕ ܐܩܝܡܘܗ ܒܡܨܥܬܐ
bmtseth' 'qymwh wkd bgwr' d'ththkhdth l'nthth' wprysh' spr' dyn 'ythyw
The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery. Having set her in the middle,

ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܗܕܐ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܐܬܬܚܕܬ ܓܠܝܐܝܬ ܒܗ ܒܣܘܥܪܢܐ ܕܓܘܪܐ
dgwr' bswern' bh gly'yth 'ththkhdth 'nthth' hd' mlpn' lh 'mryn
they told him, “Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.

ܘܒܢܡܘܣܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܡܘܫܐ ܦܩܕ ܕܠܕܐܝܟ ܗܠܝܢ ܢܪܓܘܡ ܐܢܬ ܗܟܝܠ ܡܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܬ
'nth 'mr mn' hkyl 'nth nrgwm hlyn dld'yk pqd dmwsh' dyn wbnmws'
Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. What then do you say about her?”

ܗܕܐ ܐܡܪܘ ܟܕ ܡܢܣܝܢ ܠܗ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܬܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܢܩܛܪܓܘܢܝܗܝ ܝܫܘܥ ܕܝܢ ܟܕ ܠܬܚܬ ܐܬܓܗܢ ܡܟܬܒ ܗܘܐ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ
're' el hw' mkthb 'thghn lthkhth kd dyn yshwe dnqTrgwnyhy lhwn dthhw' 'ykn' lh mnsyn kd 'mrw hd'
They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of.
But Jesus stooped down, and wrote on the ground with his finger.

ܟܕ ܕܝܢ ܟܬܪܘ ܟܕ ܡܫܐܠܝܢ ܠܗ ܐܬܦܫܛ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܢܐ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܕܠܐ ܚܛܗ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܢܫܕܐ ܥܠܝܗ ܟܐܦܐ

But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them,
“He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her.”

ܘܬܘܒ ܟܕ ܐܬܓܗܢ ܟܬܒ ܗܘܐ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ

Again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.

ܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܟܕ ܫܡܥܘ ܢܦܩܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܚܕ ܚܕ ܟܕ ܫܪܝܘ ܡܢ ܩܫܝܫܐ ܘܐܫܬܒܩܬ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܠܚܘܕܝܗ ܟܕ ܐܝܬܝܗ ܒܡܨܥܬܐ
bmtseth' 'ythyh kd lkhwdyh 'nthth' w'shthbqth qshysh' mn shryw kd khd khd hww npqyn shmew kd dyn hnwn
They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.

ܟܕ ܕܝܢ ܐܬܦܫܛ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܠܐܢܬܬܐ ܐܝܟܐ ܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܚܝܒܟܝ

Jesus, standing up, saw her and said,
“Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?”

ܗܝ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪܬ ܘܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܡܪ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܦܠܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܚܝܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܝ ܙܠܝ ܘܡܢ ܗܫܐ ܬܘܒ ܠܐ ܬܚܛܝܢ

She said, “No one, Lord.”
Jesus said,
“Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more.”

ܬܘܒ ܕܝܢ ܡܠܠ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܢܘܗܪܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܡܢ ܕܒܬܪܝ ܐܬܐ ܠܐ ܢܗܠܟ ܒܚܫܘܟܐ ܐܠܐ ܢܫܟܚ ܠܗ ܢܘܗܪܐ ܕܚܝܐ
dkhy' nwhr' lh nshkkh 'l' bkhshwk' nhlk l' 'th' dbthry mn delm' nwhrh 'n' 'n' w'mr yshwe emhwn mll dyn thwb
Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying,
“I am the light of the world.
He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܦܪܝܫܐ ܐܢܬ ܥܠ ܢܦܫܟ ܡܣܗܕ ܐܢܬ ܣܗܕܘܬܟ ܠܐ ܗܘܬ ܫܪܝܪܐ
shryr' hwth l' shdwthk 'nth mshd npshk el 'nth prysh' lh 'mryn
The Pharisees therefore said to him, “You testify about yourself. Your testimony is not valid.”

ܥܢܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܦܢ ܐܢܐ ܡܣܗܕ ܐܢܐ ܥܠ ܢܦܫܝ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܗܝ ܣܗܕܘܬܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܡܢ ܐܝܡܟܐ ܐܬܝܬ ܘܠܐܝܟܐ ܐܙܠ ܐܢܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܝܡܟܐ ܐܬܝܬ ܘܠܐ ܠܐܝܟܐ ܐܙܠ ܐܢܐ

Jesus answered them,
“Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from, and where I am going; but you don’t know where I came from, or where I am going.

ܐܢܬܘܢ ܦܓܪܢܐܝܬ ܕܝܢܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܢܐ ܠܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܕܐܢ ܐܢܐ
'n' d'n l' l'nsh 'n' 'nthwn dynyn pgrn'yth 'nthwn
You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

ܘܐܢ ܕܐܢ ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܝܢܝ ܫܪܝܪ ܗܘ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܒܠܚܘܕܝ ܐܠܐ ܐܢܐ ܘܐܒܝ ܕܫܕܪܢܝ
dshdrny w'by 'n' 'l' blkhwdy hwyth dl' mTl hw shryr dyny dyn 'n' d'n w'n
Even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.

ܘܒܢܡܘܣܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܟܬܝܒ ܕܣܗܕܘܬܐ ܕܬܪܝܢ ܓܒܪܝܢ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܗܝ
hy shryr' gbryn dthryn dshdwth' kthyb dyn wbnmwskwn
It’s also written in your law that the testimony of two people is valid.

ܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܣܗܕ ܐܢܐ ܥܠ ܢܦܫܝ ܘܐܒܝ ܕܫܕܪܢܝ ܣܗܕ ܥܠܝ
ely shd dshdrny w'by npshy el 'n' dshd 'n' 'n'
I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me.”

ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܐܝܟܘ ܐܒܘܟ ܥܢܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܠܝ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܠܐܒܝ ܐܠܘ ܠܝ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܐܦ ܠܐܒܝ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ
hwythwn ydeyn l'by 'p hwythwn ydeyn ly 'lw l'by wl' 'nthwn ydeyn ly wl' lhwn w'mr yshwe en' 'bwk 'ykw lh 'mryn
They said therefore to him, “Where is your Father?”
Jesus answered,
“You know neither me, nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”

ܗܠܝܢ ܡܠܐ ܡܠܠ ܒܝܬ ܓܙܐ ܟܕ ܡܠܦ ܒܗܝܟܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܐܚܕܗ ܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܥܕܟܝܠ ܐܬܬ ܗܘܬ ܫܥܬܗ
shethh hwth 'thth edkyl gyr l' 'khdh 'nsh wl' bhykl' mlp kd gz' byth mll ml' hlyn
Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܬܘܒ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܢܐ ܐܙܠ ܐܢܐ ܘܬܒܥܘܢܢܝ ܘܬܡܘܬܘܢ ܒܚܛܗܝܟܘܢ ܘܐܝܟܐ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܙܠ ܐܢܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܡܐܬܐ
lm'th' 'nthwn mshkkhyn l' 'nthwn 'n' 'zl d'n' w'yk' bkhThykwn wthmwthwn wthbewnny 'n' 'zl 'n' yshwe thwb lhwn 'mr
Jesus said therefore again to them,
“I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins. Where I go, you can’t come.”

ܐܡܪܝܢ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܠܡܐ ܟܝ ܢܦܫܗ ܩܛܠ ܕܐܡܪ ܕܐܝܟܐ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܙܠ ܐܢܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܡܐܬܐ
lm'th' 'nthwn mshkkhyn l' 'nthwn 'n' 'zl d'n' d'yk' d'mr qTl npshh ky lm' yhwdy' 'mryn
The Jews therefore said, “Will he kill himself, because he says,
‘Where I am going, you can’t come’?”

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܕܠܬܚܬ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܐܢܐ ܡܢ ܕܠܥܠ ܐܢܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܗܢܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܥܠܡܐ ܐܢܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܡܢ ܗܢܐ ܥܠܡܐ
elm' hn' mn hwyth l' 'n' elm' 'nthwn hn' mn 'nthwn 'n' dlel mn w'n' 'nthwn dlthkhth mn 'nthwn lhwn w'mr
He said to them,
“You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.

ܐܡܪܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܬܡܘܬܘܢ ܒܚܛܗܝܟܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܬܗܝܡܢܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܬܡܘܬܘܢ ܒܚܛܗܝܟܘܢ
bkhThykwn thmwthwn 'n' d'n' thhymnwn gyr 'l' bkhThykwn dthmwthwn lkwn 'mrth
I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am
he, you will die in your sins.”

ܐܡܪܝܢ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܐܢܬ ܡܢ ܐܢܬ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܦܢ ܕܫܪܝܬ ܕܐܡܠܠ ܥܡܟܘܢ

They said therefore to him, “Who are you?”
Jesus said to them,
“Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.

ܣܓܝ ܐܝܬ ܠܝ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܠܡܐܡܪ ܘܠܡܕܢ ܐܠܐ ܡܢ ܕܫܕܪܢܝ ܫܪܝܪ ܗܘ ܘܐܢܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܫܡܥܬ ܡܢܗ ܗܠܝܢ ܗܘ ܡܡܠܠ ܐܢܐ ܒܥܠܡܐ
belm' 'n' mmll hw hlyn mnh dshmeth 'ylyn w'n' hw shryr dshdrny mn 'l' wlmdn lm'mr elykwn ly 'yth sgy
I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. However he who sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these I say to the world.”

ܘܠܐ ܝܕܥܘ ܕܥܠ ܐܒܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ
lhwn 'mr 'b' del ydew wl'
They didn’t understand that he spoke to them about the Father.

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܬܘܒ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܡܬܝ ܕܬܪܝܡܘܢܗ ܠܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܬܕܥܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܘܡܕܡ ܡܢ ܨܒܘܬ ܢܦܫܝ ܠܐ ܥܒܕ ܐܢܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܠܦܢܝ ܐܒܝ ܗܟܘܬ ܗܘ ܡܡܠܠ ܐܢܐ
'n' mmll hw hkwth 'by d'lpny 'ykn' 'l' 'n' ebd l' npshy tsbwth mn wmdm 'n' d'n' thdewn hydyn d'nsh' lbrh dthrymwnh 'mthy yshwe thwb lhwn 'mr
Jesus therefore said to them,
“When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing of myself, but as my Father taught me, I say these things.

ܘܡܢ ܕܫܕܪܢܝ ܥܡܝ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܘܠܐ ܫܒܩܢܝ ܒܠܚܘܕܝ ܐܒܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܢܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܫܦܪ ܠܗ ܥܒܕ ܐܢܐ ܒܟܠܙܒܢ
bklzbn 'n' ebd lh dshpr mdm d'n' mTl 'by blkhwdy shbqny wl' 'ythwhy emy dshdrny wmn
He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn’t left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”

ܟܕ ܗܠܝܢ ܡܡܠܠ ܗܘܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܗܝܡܢܘ ܒܗ
bh hymnw sgy'' hw' mmll hlyn kd
As he spoke these things, many believed in him.

ܘܐܡܪ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܕܗܝܡܢܘ ܒܗ ܐܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܬܟܬܪܘܢ ܒܡܠܬܝ ܫܪܝܪܐܝܬ ܬܠܡܝܕܝ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn thlmydy shryr'yth bmlthy thkthrwn 'nthwn 'n bh dhymnw yhwdy' lhnwn yshwe w'mr
Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him,
“If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.

ܘܬܕܥܘܢ ܫܪܪܐ ܘܗܘ ܫܪܪܐ ܢܚܪܪܟܘܢ
nkhrrkwn shrr' whw shrr' wthdewn
You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܙܪܥܗ ܚܢܢ ܕܐܒܪܗܡ ܘܡܢ ܡܬܘܡ ܥܒܕܘܬܐ ܠܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܦܠܝܚܐ ܠܢ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܬ ܕܬܗܘܘܢ ܒܢܝ ܚܐܪܐ
kh'r' bny dthhwwn 'nth 'mr 'ykn' ln plykh' l' l'nsh ebdwth' mthwm wmn d'brhm khnn zreh lh 'mryn
They answered him, “We are Abraham’s offspring, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How do you say,
‘You will be made free’?”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܟܠܡܢ ܕܥܒܕ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܥܒܕܗ ܗܘ ܕܚܛܝܬܐ
dkhTyth' hw ebdh khTyth' debd dklmn lkwn 'mrn' 'myn 'myn yshwe lhwn 'mr
Jesus answered them,
“Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.

ܘܥܒܕܐ ܠܐ ܡܩܘܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܒܒܝܬܐ ܒܪܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܥܠܡ ܡܩܘܐ
mqw' lelm dyn br' bbyth' lelm mqw' l' webd'
A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever.

ܐܢ ܗܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܒܪܐ ܢܚܪܪܟܘܢ ܫܪܝܪܐܝܬ ܬܗܘܘܢ ܒܢܝ ܚܐܪܐ
kh'r' bny thhwwn shryr'yth nkhrrkwn dbr' hkyl hw 'n
If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

ܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܕܙܪܥܗ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܐܒܪܗܡ ܐܠܐ ܒܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܡܩܛܠܢܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܡܠܬܝ ܠܐ ܣܦܩܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn spqyn l' dlmlthy mTl lmqTlny 'nthwn beyn 'l' d'brhm 'nthwn dzreh 'n' yde
I know that you are Abraham’s offspring, yet you seek to kill me, because my word finds no place in you.

ܐܢܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܚܙܝܬ ܠܘܬ ܐܒܝ ܡܡܠܠ ܐܢܐ ܘܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܕܡ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܠܘܬ ܐܒܘܟܘܢ ܥܒܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn ebdyn 'bwkwn lwth dkhzythwn mdm w'nthwn 'n' mmll 'by lwth dkhzyth mdm 'n'
I say the things which I have seen with my Father; and you also do the things which you have seen with your father.”

ܥܢܘ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܐܒܘܢ ܕܝܠܢ ܐܒܪܗܡ ܗܘ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܠܘ ܒܢܘܗܝ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܕܐܒܪܗܡ ܥܒܕܘܗܝ ܕܐܒܪܗܡ ܥܒܕܝܢ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ
hwythwn ebdyn d'brhm ebdwhy d'brhm hwythwn bnwhy 'lw yshwe lhwn 'mr hw 'brhm dyln 'bwn lh w'mryn enw
They answered him, “Our father is Abraham.”
Jesus said to them,
“If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.

ܗܫܐ ܕܝܢ ܗܐ ܒܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܡܩܛܠܢܝ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܕܫܪܝܪܬܐ ܡܠܠܬ ܥܡܟܘܢ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܫܡܥܬ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܗܕܐ ܐܒܪܗܡ ܠܐ ܥܒܕ
ebd l' 'brhm hd' 'lh' mn dshmeth 'yd' emkwn mllth dshryrth' lgbr' lmqTlny 'nthwn beyn h' dyn hsh'
But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from God. Abraham didn’t do this.

ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܥܒܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܐܒܘܟܘܢ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܚܢܢ ܡܢ ܙܢܝܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܝܢ ܚܕ ܐܒܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܢ ܐܠܗܐ
'lh' ln 'yth 'b' khd hwyn l' znywth' mn khnn lh 'mryn d'bwkwn ebd' 'nthwn ebdyn dyn 'nthwn
You do the works of your father.”
They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God.”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܠܘ ܐܠܗܐ ܗܘܐ ܐܒܘܟܘܢ ܡܚܒܝܢ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܠܝ ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܢܦܩܬ ܘܐܬܝܬ ܘܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܨܒܘܬ ܢܦܫܝ ܐܬܝܬ ܐܠܐ ܗܘ ܫܕܪܢܝ
shdrny hw 'l' 'thyth npshy tsbwth mn hw' wl' w'thyth npqth 'lh' mn gyr 'n' ly hwythwn mkhbyn 'bwkwn hw' 'lh' 'lw yshwe lhwn 'mr
Therefore Jesus said to them,

You are of your father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of lies.

But because I tell the truth, you don’t believe me.

Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?

He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you don’t hear, because you are not of God.”

ܥܢܘ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܠܐ ܫܦܝܪ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܢܚܢܢ ܕܫܡܪܝܐ ܐܢܬ ܘܕܝܘܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ

Then the Jews answered him, “Don’t we say well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܝ ܕܝܘܐ ܠܐ ܐܝܬ ܐܠܐ ܠܐܒܝ ܡܝܩܪ ܐܢܐ ܘܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܨܥܪܝܢ ܠܝ

Jesus answered,
“I don’t have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.

ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܒܥܐ ܐܢܐ ܫܘܒܚܝ ܐܝܬ ܗܘ ܕܒܥܐ ܘܕܐܢ

But I don’t seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges.

ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܕܡܠܬܝ ܢܛܪ ܡܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܢܚܙܐ ܠܥܠܡ

Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death.”

ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܗܫܐ ܝܕܥܢ ܕܕܝܘܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܐܒܪܗܡ ܡܝܬ ܘܢܒܝܐ ܘܐܢܬ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܬ ܕܡܢ ܕܡܠܬܝ ܢܛܪ ܡܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܢܛܥܡ ܠܥܠܡ

Then the Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets; and you say,
‘If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death.’

Are you greater than our father, Abraham, who died? The prophets died. Who do you make yourself out to be?”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܢ ܐܢܐ ܡܫܒܚ ܐܢܐ ܢܦܫܝ ܫܘܒܚܝ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܕܡ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܐܒܝ ܕܡܫܒܚ ܠܝ ܗܘ ܕܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܐܠܗܢ ܗܘ

Jesus answered,
“If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.

'n' nTr wmlthh lh 'n' yde 'l' 'kwthkwn kdb' ly 'n' hw' lh 'n' yde dl' 'n' 'mr w'n lh 'n' yde dyn 'n' ydethwnyhy wl'
You have not known him, but I know him. If I said, ‘I don’t know him,’ I would be like you, a liar. But I know him, and keep his word.

ܐܒܪܗܡ ܐܒܘܟܘܢ ܡܣܘܚ ܗܘܐ ܕܢܚܙܐ ܝܘܡܝ ܘܚܙܐ ܘܚܕܝ

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day. He saw it, and was glad.”

ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܝܗܘܕܝܐ ܥܕܟܝܠ ܒܪ ܚܡܫܝܢ ܫܢܝܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܘܠܐܒܪܗܡ ܚܙܝܬ

The Jews therefore said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܥܕܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܐܒܪܗܡ ܐܢܐ ܐܝܬܝ

Jesus said to them,
“Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM.”
