אפשר דנצי עם שדי יתרדי מכסן אלהא יתיבניה:
ythybnyh alha mksn ythrdy shdy em dntsy apshr
“Shall he who argues contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it.”

הא אזדלזלית מה אתיבנך אידי שוית לפומי:
lpwmy shwyth aydy athybnk mh azdlzlyth ha
“Behold, I am of small account. What will I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth.

חדא זמנא מללית ולא אתיב ותניניתא ולא אוסיף:
awsyp wla wthnynytha athyb wla mllyth zmna khda
I have spoken once, and I will not answer; Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further.”

ואתיב יי ית איוב מן עלעוליתא דצערא ואמר:
wamr dtsera elewlytha mn aywb yth yy wathyb
Then Yahweh answered Job out of the whirlwind:

זרז כדון היך גברא חרציך אשאלנך ותהודענני:
wthhwdenny ashalnk khrtsyk gbra hyk kdwn zrz
“Now brace yourself like a man. I will question you, and you will answer me.

הברם תשני דיני תחיבינני מן בגלל דתזכי:
dthzky bgll mn thkhybynny dyny thshny hbrm
Will you even annul my judgment? Will you condemn me, that you may be justified?

ואין אדרע היך אלהא לך ובקל דכמתיה תכלי:
thkly dkmthyh wbql lk alha hyk adre wayn
Or do you have an arm like God? Can you thunder with a voice like him?

אתקין כדון גותנותא וגובהא וזיוא ושבהורא תלבש:
thlbsh wshbhwra wzywa wgwbha gwthnwtha kdwn athqyn
“Now deck yourself with excellency and dignity. Array yourself with honor and majesty.

בדר רוגזתא דנחיריך וחמי כל גיותן ומככניה:
wmkknyh gywthn kl wkhmy dnkhyryk rwgztha bdr
Pour out the fury of your anger. Look at everyone who is proud, and bring him low.

חמי כל גיותן ותברניה ודעדק חיביא באתריהון:
bathryhwn khybya wdedq wthbrnyh gywthn kl khmy
Look at everyone who is proud, and humble him. Crush the wicked in their place.

טמענון בעפרא כחדא אפיהון כבוש בטומעא:
bTwmea kbwsh apyhwn kkhda bepra Tmenwn
Hide them in the dust together. Bind their faces in the hidden place.

ולחוד אנא אודינך ארום תפרוק לך ימינך:
ymynk lk thprwq arwm awdynk ana wlkhwd
Then I will also admit to you that your own right hand can save you.

הא כדון בעיריא די עבדית עמך עסבא היך תורי ייכול:
yykwl thwry hyk esba emk ebdyth dy beyrya kdwn ha
“See now behemoth, which I made as well as you. He eats grass as an ox.

הא כדון לויתן דחיליה בחרצוי ותוקפיה בפרת דכרסיה:
dkrsyh bprth wthwqpyh bkhrtswy dkhylyh lwythn kdwn ha
Look now, his strength is in his thighs. His force is in the muscles of his belly.

כפף דונביה היך כארזא ותניא דפחדוי משבשין:
mshbshyn dpkhdwy wthnya karza hyk dwnbyh kpp
He moves his tail like a cedar. The sinews of his thighs are knit together.

אברוי תקיפין היך פצידי נחשא גרמוי היך מטלנא דפרזלא:
dprzla mTlna hyk grmwy nkhsha ptsydy hyk thqypyn abrwy
His bones are like tubes of bronze. His limbs are like bars of iron.

הוא שרויא אורחתיה דאלהא דעבדיה יקרב סיפיה:
sypyh yqrb debdyh dalha awrkhthyh shrwya hwa
He is the chief of the ways of God. He who made him gives him his sword.

ארום עלל טוריא יסוברון לה וכל חיות ברא יגחכון תמן:
thmn ygkhkwn bra khywth wkl lh yswbrwn Twrya ell arwm
Surely the mountains produce food for him, where all the animals of the field play.

תמן טלליא יגני בטמור קניא וערקא:
werqa qnya bTmwr ygny Tllya thmn
He lies under the lotus trees, in the covert of the reed, and the marsh.

יטללוניה טלליא גנוניה יחזרוניה ערבין דנחל:
dnkhl erbyn ykhzrwnyh gnwnyh Tllya yTllwnyh
The lotuses cover him with their shade. The willows of the brook surround him.

הא יטלום נהרא ולא אתבהל יתרחץ ארום נגיד ירדנא לפומיה:
lpwmyh yrdna ngyd arwm ythrkhts athbhl wla nhra yTlwm ha
Behold, if a river overflows, he doesn’t tremble. He is confident, though the Jordan swells even to his mouth.

בעינוי יסבניה בתוקליא ינקוב נחיריה:
nkhyryh ynqwb bthwqlya ysbnyh beynwy
Shall any take him when he is on the watch, or pierce through his nose with a snare?

אפשר דתשוי אונקלא בנחיריה ובסלוא תנקוב ליסתיה:
lysthyh thnqwb wbslwa bnkhyryh awnqla dthshwy apshr

אפשר דתמלא במטללתא משכיה ובגנונא דנוניא רישיה:
ryshyh dnwnya wbgnwna mshkyh bmTlltha dthmla apshr
