ܘܥܢܐ ܐܝܘܒ ܘܐܡܪ

Then Job answered,

ܠܡܢܐ ܡܥܕܪ ܐܢܬ ܕܠܐ ܚܝܠ ܘܦ̇ܪܩ ܐܢܬ ܕܪܥܐ ܕܠܐ ܒܥܘܫܢܐ
bewshn' dl' dre' 'nth wprq khyl dl' 'nth medr lmn'
“How have you helped him who is without power! How have you saved the arm that has no strength!

ܡܢܐ ܐܬܪܥܝܬ ܕܠܐ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܘܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܐܘܕܥܬ
'wdeth sgy'' wywlpn' khkmth' dl' 'threyth mn'
How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!

ܠܡ̇ܢ ܚܘܝܬ ܡ̈ܠܐ ܘܢܫܡܬܐ ܕܡ̇ܢ ܢܦܩܬ ܡܢܟ

To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came out of you?

ܗܐ ܓܢܒܪ̈ܐ ܢܬܩܛܠܘܢ ܘܡܢ ܡ̈ܝܐ ܢܫܠܘܢ
nshlwn my' wmn nthqTlwn gnbr' h'
“The departed spirits tremble, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.

ܥܪܛܠܝܐ ܗܝ ܫܝܘܠ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܘܠܝܬ ܬܟܣܝ ܠܐܒܕܢܐ
l'bdn' thksy wlyth qdmwhy shywl hy erTly'
Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering.

ܡܬܚ ܓܪܒܝܐ ܡܢ ܚܘܪܒܐ ܘܬܠܐ ܐܪܥܐ ܥܠ ܠܐ ܡܕܡ
mdm l' el 're' wthl' khwrb' mn grby' mthkh
He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.

ܨܪ ܡ̈ܝܐ ܒܥ̈ܢܢܘܗܝ ܘܠܐ ܐܬܒܙܥܬ ܥܢܢܐ ܬܚܘܬܝܗܘܢ
thkhwthyhwn enn' 'thbzeth wl' bennwhy my' tsr
He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them.

ܐܚܕ ܒܐ̈ܦܝ ܬܟܣܝܬܐ ܘܦܪܣ ܠܥܠ ܡܢܗ̇ ܥܢܢܐ
enn' mnh lel wprs thksyth' b'py 'khd
He encloses the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it.

ܪܫܡ ܚܘܓܬܐ ܥܠ ܐ̈ܦܝ ܡ̈ܝܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܫܠܡ ܢܘܗܪܐ ܥܡ ܚܫܘܟܐ
khshwk' em nwhr' dshlm edm' my' 'py el khwgth' rshm
He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, and to the confines of light and darkness.

ܥܡ̈ܘܕܝ ܫܡܝܐ ܪ̈ܥܠܝܢ ܘܢܬܡܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܟܐܬܗ
k'thh mn wnthmhwn relyn shmy' emwdy
The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke.

ܒܚܝܠܗ ܓܥ̇ܪ ܒܝܡܐ ܘܒܚܟܡܬܗ ܡ̇ܚܐ ܣ̈ܓܝܐܐ
sgy'' mkh' wbkhkmthh bym' ger bkhylh
He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.

ܒܪܘܚܗ ܫܡܝܐ ܡܕܒܪ ܘܩܛܠܬ ܐܝܕܗ ܠܚܘܝܐ ܕܥܪܩ
derq lkhwy' 'ydh wqTlth mdbr shmy' brwkhh
By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent.

ܗܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܡܢ ܩܨܬ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܗ ܘܐܝܢܐ ܦܬܓܡ ܒܝܫ ܐܫܬܡܥ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܘܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܓܢܒܪܘܬܗ ܡܢܘ ܢܬܒܝܢ
nthbyn mnw dgnbrwthh wswg'' elwhy 'shthme bysh pthgm w'yn' 'wrkhthh qtsth mn klhyn hlyn h'
Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”
