ܫܘܠܛܢܐ ܘܕܚܠܬܐ ܥܡܗ ܥܒܕ ܫܠܡܐ ܒܡܪ̈ܘܡܘܗܝ

ܘܠܝܬ ܡܢܝܢܐ ܠܚܝܠܗ ܘܥܠ ܡܢܘ ܠܐ ܕܢܚ ܢܘܗܪܗ
wlyth mnyn' lkhylh wel mnw l' dnkh nwhrh
Can his armies be counted? On whom does his light not arise?

ܘܐܝܟܢܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܒܪ ܐܢܫܐ ܠܡܙܟܐ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܐܘ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܙ̇ܟܐ ܝܠܝܕ ܐܢܬܬܐ

How then can man be just with God? Or how can he who is born of a woman be clean?

ܗܐ ܣܗܪܐ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܠܡܙܟܐ ܘܟܘ̈ܟܒܐ ܠܐ ܙܟܝ̈ܝܢ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ

Behold, even the moon has no brightness, and the stars are not pure in his sight;

ܫܪܝܪܐܝܬ ܕܝܢ ܐܢܫܐ ܪܡܬܐ ܗܘ ܘܒܪ ܐܢܫܐ ܬܘܠܥܐ
shryr'yth dyn 'nsh' rmth' hw wbr 'nsh' thwle'
How much less man, who is a worm, and the son of man, who is a worm!”
