עד אימת תשוון הרפתקי למליא תתבינין ומבתר כן נמלל:
nmll kn wmbthr ththbynyn lmlya hrpthqy thshwwn aymth ed
“How long will you hunt for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.

מא דין אתחשבנא היך בעירא טמענא במחמיכון:
bmkhmykwn Tmena beyra hyk athkhshbna dyn ma
Why are we counted as animals, which have become unclean in your sight?

דמצער נפשיה ברוגזיה אפשר דאמטולך תשתבק ארעא וטינר יסתלק מן אתריה: ת״א דטריד נפשיה לגרמיה אפשר דמטולתך תתנשי ארעא מן למתב ותקיפא יסתלק מן אתריה:
athryh mn ysthlq wthqypa lmthb mn area ththnshy dmTwlthk apshr lgrmyh npshyh dTryd tha athryh mn ysthlq wTynr area thshthbq damTwlk apshr brwgzyh npshyh dmtser
You who tear yourself in your anger, will the earth be forsaken for you? Or will the rock be removed out of its place?

לחוד נהור רשיעי יטפי ולא ינהר גיה נוריה:
nwryh gyh ynhr wla yTpy rshyey nhwr lkhwd
“Yes, the light of the wicked will be put out. The spark of his fire won’t shine.

נהור חשך במשכניה ושרגיה אמטולתיה יטפי:
yTpy amTwlthyh wshrgyh bmshknyh khshk nhwr
The light will be dark in his tent. His lamp above him will be put out.

יתעיקן פסיעת תוקפיה ותטלוקניה מלכתיה:
mlkthyh wthTlwqnyh thwqpyh psyeth ytheyqn
The steps of his strength will be shortened. His own counsel will cast him down.

מטול דאשתדר במצדתא ברגלוי ועלוי סרגתא יטיל:
yTyl srgtha welwy brglwy bmtsdtha dashthdr mTwl
For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he wanders into its mesh.

יאחוד בתקלא דפחא יתקופו עלוי גבריא:
gbrya elwy ythqwpw dpkha bthqla yakhwd
A snare will take him by the heel. A trap will catch him.

טמיע בארעא אשליה ואוחדתיה עלוי שבילא:
shbyla elwy wawkhdthyh ashlyh barea Tmye
A noose is hidden for him in the ground, a trap for him on the path.

חזור חזור יבעתוניה אתרגושין ומבדרין יתיה לרגלוי:
lrglwy ythyh wmbdryn athrgwshyn ybethwnyh khzwr khzwr
Terrors will make him afraid on every side, and will chase him at his heels.

יהי כפן ביר בוכריה וצערא מכון לאנתתיה: ת״א יהי כפן באנינותיה וצערא מזומן לסטריה:
lsTryh mzwmn wtsera banynwthyh kpn yhy tha lanththyh mkwn wtsera bwkryh byr kpn yhy
His strength will be famished. Calamity will be ready at his side.

ייכול בוצנין דחפין למשכיה יגמר בנוי מלאך מותא: ת״א ייכול בסרא תקוף משכיה יגמר בנוהי שרוי מותא:
mwtha shrwy bnwhy ygmr mshkyh thqwp bsra yykwl tha mwtha mlak bnwy ygmr lmshkyh dkhpyn bwtsnyn yykwl
The members of his body will be devoured. The firstborn of death will devour his members.

יתגזר ממשכניה רוחצניה ותובלניה למלך רגושתא:
rgwshtha lmlk wthwblnyh rwkhtsnyh mmshknyh ythgzr
He will be rooted out of the security of his tent. He will be brought to the king of terrors.
15
תשרי אנתתיה במשבניה מדלית ליה ויבדר על מדוריה גופריתא:
gwprytha mdwryh el wybdr lyh mdlyth bmshbnyh anththyh thshry
There will dwell in his tent that which is none of his. Sulfur will be scattered on his habitation.

מארעא בנוי ישתיצון ומשמיא יתגזר אובדניה: ת״א מלרע שרשוהי יתיבשון ומן לעיל יתמולל זאזיה:
zazyh ythmwll leyl wmn ythybshwn shrshwhy mlre tha awbdnyh ythgzr wmshmya yshthytswn bnwy marea
His roots will be dried up beneath. His branch will be cut off above.

דכרניה הובד מני ארעא ולא שמא ליה על אנפי אשקקו:
ashqqw anpy el lyh shma wla area mny hwbd dkrnyh
His memory will perish from the earth. He will have no name in the street.

יהדפוניה מנהורא לחשוכא ומתבל יגלוניה:
yglwnyh wmthbl lkhshwka mnhwra yhdpwnyh
He will be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
19
לא ביר ליה ולא ביר ברא בעמיה ולית משיזיב ביתוביה:
bythwbyh mshyzyb wlyth bemyh bra byr wla lyh byr la
He will have neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any remaining where he lived.
20
מטול יומיה אצטדיאו בתראי וקדמונאי אחדו עלעולא:
elewla akhdw wqdmwnay bthray atsTdyaw ywmyh mTwl
Those who come after will be astonished at his day, as those who went before were frightened.
