פתגם נבואה דהוה עם ירמיה מן קדם יי למימר:
lmymr yy qdm mn yrmyh em dhwh nbwah pthgm
The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,

קום בתרע בית מקדשא דיי ותתנבי תמן ית פתגמא הדין ותימר קבילו פתגמא דיי כל דבית יהודה דעלין בתרעיא האילין למסגד קדם יי:
yy qdm lmsgd haylyn bthreya delyn yhwdh dbyth kl dyy pthgma qbylw wthymr hdyn pthgma yth thmn wththnby dyy mqdsha byth bthre qwm
“Stand in the gate of Yahweh’s house, and proclaim this word there, and say, ‘Hear Yahweh’s word, all you of Judah, who enter in at these gates to worship Yahweh.’”

כדנן אמר יי צבאות אלהא דישראל אתקינו אורחתכון ועובדיכון ואשרי יתכון באתרא הדין:
hdyn bathra ythkwn washry wewbdykwn awrkhthkwn athqynw dyshral alha tsbawth yy amr kdnn
Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says, “Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

לא תתרחצון לכון על פתגמי נביי שקרא דאמרין קדם היכלא דיי אתון פלחין קדם היכלא דיי אתון דבחין קדם היכלא דיי אתון סגדין תלת זמנין בשתא אתון מתחזן קדמוהי:
qdmwhy mthkhzn athwn bshtha zmnyn thlth sgdyn athwn dyy hykla qdm dbkhyn athwn dyy hykla qdm plkhyn athwn dyy hykla qdm damryn shqra nbyy pthgmy el lkwn ththrkhtswn la
Don’t trust in lying words, saying, ‘Yahweh’s temple, Yahweh’s temple, Yahweh’s temple, are these.’

ארי אם אתקנא תתקנון ית אורחתכון וית עובדיכון אם מעבד תעבדון דין דקשוט בין גברא ובין חבריה:
khbryh wbyn gbra byn dqshwT dyn thebdwn mebd am ewbdykwn wyth awrkhthkwn yth ththqnwn athqna am ary
For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor;

גיור יתום וארמלא לא תוניסון ודם זכאי לא תשדון באתרא הדין ובתר פלחי כוכביא לא תהכון לאבאשא לכון:
lkwn labasha thhkwn la kwkbya plkhy wbthr hdyn bathra thshdwn la zkay wdm thwnyswn la warmla ythwm gywr
if you don’t oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and don’t shed innocent blood in this place, and don’t walk after other gods to your own hurt,

ואשרי יתכון באתרא הדין בארעא דיהבית לאבהתכון למן עלמא ועד עלמא:
elma wed elma lmn labhthkwn dyhbyth barea hdyn bathra ythkwn washry
then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from of old even forever more.

הא אתון מתרחצין לכון על פתגמי נביי שקרא בדיל דלא להנאה:
lhnah dla bdyl shqra nbyy pthgmy el lkwn mthrkhtsyn athwn ha
Behold, you trust in lying words that can’t profit.

גנבין קטולי נפשן וגיפין ומשתבעין לשקר ומסקין בוסמין לבעלא ואזלין בתר פלחי כוכביא דלא ידעתון:
ydethwn dla kwkbya plkhy bthr wazlyn lbela bwsmyn wmsqyn lshqr wmshthbeyn wgypyn npshn qTwly gnbyn
Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods that you have not known,

ואתן אתון וקיימין קדמי בביתא הדין דאתקרי שמי עלוהי ואמרין אתון שיזיבנא בדיל למעבד ית כל תועבתא האלין:
halyn thwebtha kl yth lmebd bdyl shyzybna athwn wamryn elwhy shmy dathqry hdyn bbytha qdmy wqyymyn athwn wathn
then come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, ‘We are delivered,’ that you may do all these abominations?

הכבית כנישת רשיעין הוה ביתא הדין דאתקרי שמי עלוהי בעיניכון אף קדמי כן גלי אמר יי:
yy amr gly kn qdmy ap beynykwn elwhy shmy dathqry hdyn bytha hwh rshyeyn knyshth hkbyth
Has this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I myself have seen it,” says Yahweh.

ארי אזילו כען לאתר בית שכנתי די בשלו דאשריתי שכנתי תמן בקדמיתא וחזו ית דעבדית ליה מן קדם בישת עמי ישראל:
yshral emy byshth qdm mn lyh debdyth yth wkhzw bqdmytha thmn shknthy dashrythy bshlw dy shknthy byth lathr ken azylw ary
“But go now to my place which was in Shiloh, where I caused my name to dwell at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.

וכען חלף דעבדתון ית כל עובדיא האלין אמר יי ושלחית לותכון ית כל עבדי נבייא מקדים וממליל ולא קבילתון ואתנביאו לכון ולא תבתון:
thbthwn wla lkwn wathnbyaw qbylthwn wla wmmlyl mqdym nbyya ebdy kl yth lwthkwn wshlkhyth yy amr halyn ewbdya kl yth debdthwn khlp wken
Now, because you have done all these works,” says Yahweh, “and I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you didn’t hear; and I called you, but you didn’t answer;

ואעביד לביתא דאתקרי שמי עלוהי דאתון רחיצין ביה ולאתרא דיהבית לכון ולאבהתכון כמא דעבדית לשילו:
lshylw debdyth kma wlabhthkwn lkwn dyhbyth wlathra byh rkhytsyn dathwn elwhy shmy dathqry lbytha waebyd
therefore I will do to the house which is called by my name, in which you trust, and to the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I did to Shiloh.

ואגלי יתכון מארעא בית שכנתי כמא דאגליתי ית כל אחיכון ית כל זרעא דישראל:
dyshral zrea kl yth akhykwn kl yth daglythy kma shknthy byth marea ythkwn wagly
I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brothers, even the whole offspring of Ephraim.

ואת לא תצלי על עמא הדין ולא תתחנן עליהון בבעו וצלו ולא תבעי מן קדמי ארי לא רעוא קדמי לקבלא צלותך:
tslwthk lqbla qdmy rewa la ary qdmy mn thbey wla wtslw bbew elyhwn ththkhnn wla hdyn ema el thtsly la wath
“Therefore don’t pray for this people. Don’t lift up a cry or prayer for them or make intercession to me; for I will not hear you.

הלית את חזי מא דאינון עבדין בקרויא דבית יהודה ובשוקי ירושלם:
yrwshlm wbshwqy yhwdh dbyth bqrwya ebdyn daynwn ma khzy ath hlyth
Don’t you see what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

בניא מלקטין אעא ואבהתא מדלקין ית נורא ונשיא לישן לישא למעבד כרדוטין לכוכבת שמיא ולנסכא נסכין לפלחי כוכביא בדיל לארגזא קדמי:
qdmy largza bdyl kwkbya lplkhy nskyn wlnska shmya lkwkbth krdwTyn lmebd lysha lyshn wnshya nwra yth mdlqyn wabhtha aea mlqTyn bnya
The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

המדמי די קדמי אינון מרגזין אמר יי הלא לאבאשא להון בדיל דיבהתון בעובדיהון:
bewbdyhwn dybhthwn bdyl lhwn labasha hla yy amr mrgzyn aynwn qdmy dy hmdmy
Do they provoke me to anger?” says Yahweh. “Don’t they provoke themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?”
20
בכן כדנן אמר יי אלהים הא רוגזי וחמתי חל באתרא הדין על אנשא ועל בעירא ועל אילן חקלא ועל אבא דארעא וישיצי ולא יהי חיס:
khys yhy wla wyshytsy darea aba wel khqla ayln wel beyra wel ansha el hdyn bathra khl wkhmthy rwgzy ha alhym yy amr kdnn bkn
Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “Behold, my anger and my wrath will be poured out on this place, on man, on animal, on the trees of the field, and on the fruit of the ground; and it will burn and will not be quenched.”

כדנן אמר יי צבאות אלהא דישראל עלותכון אוסיפו על נכסת קודשיכון ואכולו בסרא:
bsra wakwlw qwdshykwn nksth el awsypw elwthkwn dyshral alha tsbawth yy amr kdnn
Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says: “Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices and eat meat.

ארי לא מללית עם אבהתכון ולא פקדתינון ביומא דאפקית יתהון מארעא דמצרים על עסקי עלון ונכסת קודשין:
qwdshyn wnksth elwn esqy el dmtsrym marea ythhwn dapqyth bywma pqdthynwn wla abhthkwn em mllyth la ary
For I didn’t speak to your fathers or command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices;

אלהין ית פתגמא הדין פקדית יתהון למימר קבילו למימרי ואהוי לכון לאלהא ואתון תהון קדמי לעם ותהכון בכל אורחא דאפקיד יתכון בדיל דייטב לכון:
lkwn dyyTb bdyl ythkwn dapqyd awrkha bkl wthhkwn lem qdmy thhwn wathwn lalha lkwn wahwy lmymry qbylw lmymr ythhwn pqdyth hdyn pthgma yth alhyn
but this thing I commanded them, saying, ‘Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. Walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’
24
ולא קבילו ולא ארכינו ית אודניהון ואזלו בעצתהון בהרהור לבכון בישא ואחזרו בפולחני קדל ולא שויאו דחלתי לקביל אפיהון:
apyhwn lqbyl dkhlthy shwyaw wla qdl bpwlkhny wakhzrw bysha lbkwn bhrhwr betsthhwn wazlw awdnyhwn yth arkynw wla qbylw wla
But they didn’t listen or turn their ear, but walked in their own counsels and in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
25
למן יומא דנפקו אבהתכון מארעא דמצרים עד יומא הדין ושלחית לותכון ית כל עבדי נבייא יום מקדים ומשלח:
wmshlkh mqdym ywm nbyya ebdy kl yth lwthkwn wshlkhyth hdyn ywma ed dmtsrym marea abhthkwn dnpqw ywma lmn
Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt to this day, I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them.
26
ולא קבילו למימרי ולא ארכינו ית אודניהון וקשיאו ית קדלהון אבאישו מאבהתהון:
mabhthhwn abayshw qdlhwn yth wqshyaw awdnyhwn yth arkynw wla lmymry qbylw wla
Yet they didn’t listen to me or incline their ear, but made their neck stiff. They did worse than their fathers.
27
ותמליל עמהון ית כל פתגמיא האלין ולא יקבלון מנך ותתנבי להון ולא יתיבונך:
ythybwnk wla lhwn wththnby mnk yqblwn wla halyn pthgmya kl yth emhwn wthmlyl
“You shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. You shall also call to them, but they will not answer you.

ותימר להון דין עמא די לא שמעו למימרא דיי אלההון ולא קבילו אולפן פסקת הימנותא ואתמנעת מפומהון:
mpwmhwn wathmneth hymnwtha psqth awlpn qbylw wla alhhwn dyy lmymra shmew la dy ema dyn lhwn wthymr
You shall tell them, ‘This is the nation that has not listened to Yahweh their God’s voice, nor received instruction. Truth has perished, and is cut off from their mouth.’
29
תלישי על רברביך דיגלון וטולי על נגרין אליא ארי רחיק יי ורטיש ית דרא דעברו על מימריה:
mymryh el debrw dra yth wrTysh yy rkhyq ary alya ngryn el wTwly dyglwn rbrbyk el thlyshy
Cut off your hair, and throw it away, and take up a lamentation on the bare heights; for Yahweh has rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.
30
ארי עבדו בני יהודה דביש קדמי אמר יי שויאו שקוציהון בביתא דאתקרי שמי עלוהי לסאבותיה:
lsabwthyh elwhy shmy dathqry bbytha shqwtsyhwn shwyaw yy amr qdmy dbysh yhwdh bny ebdw ary
“For the children of Judah have done that which is evil in my sight,” says Yahweh. “They have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.
31
ובנו במת תופת די בחילת בר הנום לאוקדא ית בניהון וית בנתיהון בנורא דלא פקדית באוריתי ולא רעוא קדמי:
qdmy rewa wla bawrythy pqdyth dla bnwra bnthyhwn wyth bnyhwn yth lawqda hnwm br bkhylth dy thwpth bmth wbnw
They have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I didn’t command, nor did it come into my mind.
32
בכן הא יומיא אתן אמר יי ולא יתאמר עוד תופת וחילת בר הנום אלהין חילת קטיליא ויקברון בתופת מבלי אתר:
athr mbly bthwpth wyqbrwn qTylya khylth alhyn hnwm br wkhylth thwpth ewd ythamr wla yy amr athn ywmya ha bkn
Therefore behold, the days come”, says Yahweh, “that it will no more be called ‘Topheth’ or ‘The valley of the son of Hinnom’, but ‘The valley of Slaughter’; for they will bury in Topheth until there is no place to bury.
33
ותהי נבילתא דעמא הדין משגרא למיכל לעופא דשמיא ולבעירא דארעא ולית דמניד:
dmnyd wlyth darea wlbeyra dshmya lewpa lmykl mshgra hdyn dema nbyltha wthhy
The dead bodies of this people will be food for the birds of the sky, and for the animals of the earth. No one will frighten them away.

ואבטיל מקרויא דבית יהודה ומשוקי ירושלם קל ביע וקל חדוא קל חתנון וקל כלן ארי לחורבא תהי ארעא:
area thhy lkhwrba ary kln wql khthnwn ql khdwa wql bye ql yrwshlm wmshwqy yhwdh dbyth mqrwya wabTyl
Then I will cause to cease from the cities of Judah and from the streets of Jerusalem the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride; for the land will become a waste.”
