בר עסרין וחדא שנין צדקיה כד מלך וחדא עסרי שנין מלך בירושלם ושום אמיה חמוטל בת ירמיה מלבנה:
mlbnh yrmyh bth khmwTl amyh wshwm byrwshlm mlk shnyn esry wkhda mlk kd tsdqyh shnyn wkhda esryn br
Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign. He reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

ועבד דביש קדם יי ככל די עבד יהויקים:
yhwyqym ebd dy kkl yy qdm dbysh webd
He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

ארי על דארגיזו קדם יי הות בירושלם וביהודה עד דאגלי יתהון מארעא בית שכינתיה ומריד צדקיהו במלכא דבבל:
dbbl bmlka tsdqyhw wmryd shkynthyh byth marea ythhwn dagly ed wbyhwdh byrwshlm hwth yy qdm dargyzw el ary
For through Yahweh’s anger this happened in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence. Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

והוה בשתא תשיעיתא לממלכה בירחא עשיראה בעשרא לירחא אתא נבוכדראצר מלכא דבבל הוא וכל משריתיה על ירושלם ושרא עלה ובנו עלה כרכום סחור סחור:
skhwr skhwr krkwm elh wbnw elh wshra yrwshlm el mshrythyh wkl hwa dbbl mlka nbwkdratsr atha lyrkha beshra eshyrah byrkha lmmlkh thshyeytha bshtha whwh
In the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built forts against it round about.

ועלת קרתא בצירא עד חדא עשרי שנין למלכא צדקיהו:
tsdqyhw lmlka shnyn eshry khda ed btsyra qrtha welth
So the city was besieged to the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.

בירחא רביעאה בתשעא לירחא ותקיף כפנא בקרתא ולא הות מיכל לעמא דארעא:
darea lema mykl hwth wla bqrtha kpna wthqyp lyrkha bthshea rbyeah byrkha
In the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was severe in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.

ואתרעת קרתא וכל גברי עבדי קרבא ערקו ונפקו מן קרתא בליליא באורח תרע בין שוריא די על גנתא דמלכא וכסדאי שרן על קרתא סחור סחור ואזלו באורח מישרא:
myshra bawrkh wazlw skhwr skhwr qrtha el shrn wksday dmlka gntha el dy shwrya byn thre bawrkh blylya qrtha mn wnpqw erqw qrba ebdy gbry wkl qrtha wathreth
Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled, and went out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king’s garden. Now the Chaldeans were against the city all around. The men of war went toward the Arabah,

ורדפא משרית כסדאי בתר מלכא ואדביקו ית צדקיה במישרי יריחו וכל משריתיה אתבדרא מניה:
mnyh athbdra mshrythyh wkl yrykhw bmyshry tsdqyh yth wadbyqw mlka bthr ksday mshryth wrdpa
but the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.

ואחידו ית מלכא ואסיקו יתיה לות מלכא דבבל לדבלת בארעא דחמת ומליל עמיה פתגמי דינין:
dynyn pthgmy emyh wmlyl dkhmth barea ldblth dbbl mlka lwth ythyh wasyqw mlka yth wakhydw
Then they took the king, and carried him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; and he pronounced judgment on him.

ונכיס מלכא דבבל ית בני צדקיהו ברבלתה לעינוהי ואף ית כל רברבי יהודה נכס ברבלתה:
brblthh nks yhwdh rbrby kl yth wap leynwhy brblthh tsdqyhw bny yth dbbl mlka wnkys
The king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. He also killed all the princes of Judah in Riblah.

וית עיני צדקיהו עור ואסריה בשלשלן דנחש ואוביליה מלכא דבבל לבבל ויהביה בבית אסירי עד יום מותיה:
mwthyh ywm ed asyry bbyth wyhbyh lbbl dbbl mlka wawbylyh dnkhsh bshlshln wasryh ewr tsdqyhw eyny wyth
He put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in fetters, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison until the day of his death.

ובירחא חמישאה בעסרא לירחא היא שנת תשע עסרי שנין למלכא נבוכדראצר מלכא דבבל אתא נבוזראדן רב קטוליא קם קדם מלכא דבבל בירושלם:
byrwshlm dbbl mlka qdm qm qTwlya rb nbwzradn atha dbbl mlka nbwkdratsr lmlka shnyn esry thshe shnth hya lyrkha besra khmyshah wbyrkha
Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, who stood before the king of Babylon, came into Jerusalem.

ואוקיד ית בית מקדשא דיי וית בית מלכא וית כל בתי ירושלם וית כל בתי רברביא אוקיד בנורא:
bnwra awqyd rbrbya bthy kl wyth yrwshlm bthy kl wyth mlka byth wyth dyy mqdsha byth yth wawqyd
He burned Yahweh’s house, and the king’s house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house, he burned with fire.

וית כל שורי ירושלם סחור סחור תרעו כל משרית כסדאי דעם רב קטוליא:
qTwlya rb dem ksday mshryth kl threw skhwr skhwr yrwshlm shwry kl wyth
All the army of the Chaldeans, who were with the captain of the guard, broke down all the walls of Jerusalem all around.

ומחשיכי עמא וית שארא דעמא דאשתארו בקרתא וית שמיעיא דאשתמעו על מלכא דבבל וית שאר המונא אגלי נבוזראדן רב קטוליא:
qTwlya rb nbwzradn agly hmwna shar wyth dbbl mlka el dashthmew shmyeya wyth bqrtha dashtharw dema shara wyth ema wmkhshyky
Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the poorest of the people, and the rest of the people who were left in the city, and those who fell away, who defected to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.

ומחשיכי עמא דארעא אשאר נבוזראדן רב קטוליא למהוי מפלחין בחקלין ובכרמין:
wbkrmyn bkhqlyn mplkhyn lmhwy qTwlya rb nbwzradn ashar darea ema wmkhshyky
But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poorest of the land to be vineyard keepers and farmers.

וית עמודי נחשא די בבית מקדשא דיי וית בסיסיא וית ימא דנחשא די בבית מקדשא דיי תברו כסדאי ואובילו ית כל נחשיהון לבבל:
lbbl nkhshyhwn kl yth wawbylw ksday thbrw dyy mqdsha bbyth dy dnkhsha yma wyth bsysya wyth dyy mqdsha bbyth dy nkhsha emwdy wyth
The Chaldeans broke the pillars of bronze that were in Yahweh’s house and the bases and the bronze sea that were in Yahweh’s house in pieces, and carried all of their bronze to Babylon.

וית דודיא וית מגרופיתא וית מזמריא וית מזרקיא וית בזיכיא וית כל מני נחשא דהוו משמשין בהון נסיבו:
nsybw bhwn mshmshyn dhww nkhsha mny kl wyth bzykya wyth mzrqya wyth mzmrya wyth mgrwpytha wyth dwdya wyth
They also took away the pots, the shovels, the snuffers, the basins, the spoons, and all the vessels of bronze with which they ministered.

וית קוליא וית מחתיתא וית מזרקיא וית דודיא וית מנרתא וית בזיכיא וית מכילתא די דהבא דהבא ודי כספא כספא נסיב רב קטוליא:
qTwlya rb nsyb kspa kspa wdy dhba dhba dy mkyltha wyth bzykya wyth mnrtha wyth dwdya wyth mzrqya wyth mkhthytha wyth qwlya wyth
The captain of the guard took away the cups, the fire pans, the basins, the pots, the lamp stands, the spoons, and the bowls; that which was of gold, as gold, and that which was of silver, as silver.

עמודיא תרין ימא חד ותורי תרי עסר דנחשא דתחות בסיסיא דעבד מלכא שלמה בבית מקדשא דיי לא הוה מתקל לנחשהון דכל מניא האלין:
halyn mnya dkl lnkhshhwn mthql hwh la dyy mqdsha bbyth shlmh mlka debd bsysya dthkhwth dnkhsha esr thry wthwry khd yma thryn emwdya
They took the two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve bronze bulls that were under the bases, which King Solomon had made for Yahweh’s house. The bronze of all these vessels was without weight.

ועמודיא תמנא עסרי אמין רומיה דעמודא חד וחוט משח תרתא עסרי אמין מקף ליה סחור סחור וסומכיה ארבע אצבעין חליל:
khlyl atsbeyn arbe wswmkyh skhwr skhwr lyh mqp amyn esry thrtha mshkh wkhwT khd demwda rwmyh amyn esry thmna wemwdya
As for the pillars, the height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a line of twelve cubits encircled it; and its thickness was four fingers. It was hollow.

וקרונתהון עלוהי דנחשא ורומא דקרונתהון חדא חמש אמין וסריגתא ורמוניא על קרונתהון סחור סחור כולא נחשא וכאלין לעמודא תנינא ורמוניא:
wrmwnya thnyna lemwda wkalyn nkhsha kwla skhwr skhwr qrwnthhwn el wrmwnya wsrygtha amyn khmsh khda dqrwnthhwn wrwma dnkhsha elwhy wqrwnthhwn
A capital of bronze was on it; and the height of the one capital was five cubits, with network and pomegranates on the capital all around, all of bronze. The second pillar also had the same, with pomegranates.

והוו רמוניא תשעין ושתא בעברתא כל רמוניא מאה על סריגתא סחור סחור:
skhwr skhwr srygtha el mah rmwnya kl bebrtha wshtha thsheyn rmwnya whww
There were ninety-six pomegranates on the sides; all the pomegranates were one hundred on the network all around.

ודבר רב קטוליא ית שריה כהנא רבא וית צפניה סגן כהניא וית תלתא אמרכליא:
amrklya thltha wyth khnya sgn tspnyh wyth rba khna shryh yth qTwlya rb wdbr
The captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the threshold,

ומן קרתא דבר גוזא חד דהוה ממנא על גברי עבדי קרבא ושבעא גברין דחזן אפי מלכא דאשתכחו בקרתא וית ספרא רב חילא דכנש ית עמא דארעא ושתין גברא מעמא דארעא דאשתכחו בגו קרתא:
qrtha bgw dashthkkhw darea mema gbra wshthyn darea ema yth dknsh khyla rb spra wyth bqrtha dashthkkhw mlka apy dkhzn gbryn wshbea qrba ebdy gbry el mmna dhwh khd gwza dbr qrtha wmn
and out of the city he took an officer who was set over the men of war; and seven men of those who saw the king’s face, who were found in the city; and the scribe of the captain of the army, who mustered the people of the land; and sixty men of the people of the land, who were found in the middle of the city.

ודבר יתהון נבוזראדן רב קטוליא ואוביל יתהון לות מלכא דבבל לרבלת:
lrblth dbbl mlka lwth ythhwn wawbyl qTwlya rb nbwzradn ythhwn wdbr
Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.
27
ומחא יתהון מלכא דבבל וקטלינון ברבלה בארעא דחמת ואתגליאו דבית יהודה מעל ארעהון:
arehwn mel yhwdh dbyth wathglyaw dkhmth barea brblh wqTlynwn dbbl mlka ythhwn wmkha
The king of Babylon struck them, and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away captive out of his land.

דין עמא דאגלי נבוכדראצר בשנת שבע יהודאי תלתא אלפין ועסרין ותלתא:
wthltha wesryn alpyn thltha yhwday shbe bshnth nbwkdratsr dagly ema dyn
This is the number of the people whom Nebuchadnezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year, three thousand twenty-three Jews;

בשנת תמני עסרי לנבוכדראצר מירושלם נפשתא תמני מאה ותלתין ותרתין:
wthrthyn wthlthyn mah thmny npshtha myrwshlm lnbwkdratsr esry thmny bshnth
in the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar, he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty-two persons;

בשנת עסרין ותלת לנבוכדראצר אגלי נבוזראדן רב קטוליא יהודאי נפשתא שבע מאה ארבעין וחמש כל נפשתא ארבעא אלפין ושית מאה:
mah wshyth alpyn arbea npshtha kl wkhmsh arbeyn mah shbe npshtha yhwday qTwlya rb nbwzradn agly lnbwkdratsr wthlth esryn bshnth
in the twenty-third year of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty-five people. All the people numbered four thousand six hundred.

והוה בתלתין ושבע שנין לגלות יהויכין מלך שבטא דבית יהודה בתרי עשר ירחין בעשרין וחמשא לירחא רבי אויל מרודך מלכא דבבל בשנת מלכותיה ית ריש יהויכין מלך שבטא דבית יהודה ואפיק יתיה מבית אסירי:
asyry mbyth ythyh wapyq yhwdh dbyth shbTa mlk yhwykyn rysh yth mlkwthyh bshnth dbbl mlka mrwdk awyl rby lyrkha wkhmsha beshryn yrkhyn eshr bthry yhwdh dbyth shbTa mlk yhwykyn lglwth shnyn wshbe bthlthyn whwh
In the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the twenty-fifth day of the month, Evilmerodach king of Babylon, in the first year of his reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and released him from prison.

ומליל עמיה פתגמין תקנין ויהב ית כורסיה מעיל לכורסי מלכיא די עמיה בבבל:
bbbl emyh dy mlkya lkwrsy meyl kwrsyh yth wyhb thqnyn pthgmyn emyh wmlyl
He spoke kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings who were with him in Babylon,
33
ושני ית לבושי אסוריה ואכיל לחמא קדמוהי תדירא כל יומא חיוהי:
khywhy ywma kl thdyra qdmwhy lkhma wakyl aswryh lbwshy yth wshny
and changed his prison garments. Jehoiachin ate bread before him continually all the days of his life.
34
ושרותה שרותא תדירא מתיהבא ליה מן קדם מלכא דבבל פתגם יום ביומיה עד יום מותיה כל יומי חיוהי:
khywhy ywmy kl mwthyh ywm ed bywmyh ywm pthgm dbbl mlka qdm mn lyh mthyhba thdyra shrwtha wshrwthh
For his allowance, there was a continual allowance given him by the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.
