ܦܬܓܡܐ ܕܐܡܪ ܐܪܡܝܐ ܠܒܪܘܟ ܒܪ ܢܪܝܐ ܟܕ ܟܬܒ ܦܬ̈ܓܡܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܥܠ ܣܦܪܐ ܡܢ ܦܘܡܗ ܕܐܪܡܝܐ ܒܫܢܬܐ ܪܒܝܥܝܬܐ ܕܝܘܝܩܝܡ ܒܪ ܝܘܫܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܠܡܐܡܪ
lm'mr dyhwd' mlk' ywshy' br dywyqym rbyeyth' bshnth' d'rmy' pwmh mn spr' el hlyn pthgm' kthb kd nry' br lbrwk 'rmy' d'mr pthgm'
The message that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he wrote these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying,

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܥܠܝܟ ܒܪܘܟ

“Yahweh, the God of Israel, says to you, Baruch:

ܐܡܪܬ ܘܝ ܕܐܘܣܦ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܐܘܘܐܢܐ ܥܠ ܟܐܒܝ ܠܐܝܬ ܒܬ̈ܢܚܬܝ ܘܢܝܚܐ ܠܐ ܐܫܟܚܬ
'shkkhth l' wnykh' bthnkhthy l'yth k'by el d'ww'n' mry' d'wsp wy 'mrth
‘You said, “Woe is me now! For Yahweh has added sorrow to my pain! I am weary with my groaning, and I find no rest.”’

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܗܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܒܢܝܬ ܐܢܐ ܣܚܦ ܘܡܕܡ ܕܢܨܒܬ ܐܢܐ ܥܩܪ ܘܠܟܠܗ̇ ܐܪܥܐ ܡܚܪܒ ܐܢܐ

“You shall tell him, Yahweh says: ‘Behold, that which I have built, I will break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land.

ܘܐܢܬ ܕܝܢ ܕܒܥܝܬ ܠܟ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܬܐ ܠܐ ܬܒܥܐ ܕܡܝܬܪ̈ܢ ܡܢܟ ܡܛܠ ܕܗܐ ܡܝܬܐ ܐܢܐ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܥܠ ܟܠ ܒܣܪ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܬܠ ܠܟ ܕܬܫܘܙܒ ܢܦܫܟ ܒܟܘܠܗܘܢ ܐܬܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܕܬܐܙܠ ܠܬܡܢ

Do you seek great things for yourself? Don’t seek them; for, behold, I will bring evil on all flesh,’ says Yahweh, ‘but I will let you escape with your life wherever you go.’”
