ܦܬܓܡܐ ܕܗܘܐ ܥܠ ܐܪܡܝܐ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܢܬܢܒܐ ܥܠ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܝܗ̈ܘܕܝܐ ܕܝܬܒܝܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܕܝܬܒܝܢ ܒܡܓܕܘܠ ܘܒܬܚܦܝܣ ܘܒܡܦܣ ܘܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܦܬܪܘܣ

The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews who lived in the land of Egypt, who lived at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Memphis, and in the country of Pathros, saying,

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܟܠܗ̇ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܕܐܝܬܝܬ ܥܠ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܥܠ ܟܘܠܗܝܢ ܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܗܢܝܢ ܚܪ̈ܒܢ ܝܘܡܢܐ ܘܠܝܬ ܒܗܝܢ ܐܢܫ ܕܝܬܒ

“Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘You have seen all the evil that I have brought on Jerusalem, and on all the cities of Judah. Behold, today they are a desolation, and no man dwells in them,

ܡܛܠ ܟܠܗ̇ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܕܥܒܕܘ ܘܐܪܓܙܘܢܝ ܘܐܙܠܘ ܘܣܡܘ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܠܐ̈ܠܗܐ ܐܚܪ̈ܢܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܘܐ̈ܒܗܝܗܘܢ
mTl klh byshth' debdw w'rgzwny w'zlw wsmw bsm' l'lh' 'khrn' 'ylyn dl' ydew 'nwn hnwn w'bhyhwn
because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, to serve other gods that they didn’t know, neither they, nor you, nor your fathers.

ܘܫܕܪܬ ܠܘܬܗܘܢ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܒ̈ܕܝ ܢܒ̈ܝܐ ܩܕܡܬ ܘܫܕܪܬ ܘܐܡܪܬ ܠܐ ܬܥܒܕܘܢ ܛܢܦܘܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܕܣܢܝܬ

However I sent to you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, “Oh, don’t do this abominable thing that I hate.”

ܘܠܐ ܫܡܥܘ ܘܠܐ ܨܠܘ ܐܕܢܗܘܢ ܕܢܗܦܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܒܝܫ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܣܝܡܘܢ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܠܐ̈ܠܗܐ ܐܚܪ̈ܢܐ
wl' shmew wl' tslw 'dnhwn dnhpkwn mn byshthhwn dl' nsymwn bsm' l'lh' 'khrn'
But they didn’t listen and didn’t incline their ear. They didn’t turn from their wickedness, to stop burning incense to other gods.

ܘܐܬܬܢܝܚ ܪܘܓܙܝ ܘܚܡܬܝ ܘܐܚܕܬ ܢܘܪܐ ܒܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܒܫ̈ܘܩܝܗ̇ ܕܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܗ̈ܘܝ ܠܚܘܪܒܐ ܘܠܬܡܗܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܝܘܡܢܐ
w'ththnykh rwgzy wkhmthy w'khdth nwr' bqwry' dyhwd' wbshwqyh d'wrshlm whwy lkhwrb' wlthmh' 'yk dywmn'
Therefore my wrath and my anger was poured out, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as it is today.’

ܘܗܫܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܡܢܐ ܥܒܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܪܒܬܐ ܥܠ ܢܦܫ̈ܬܟܘܢ ܕܬܘܒܕܘܢ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܘܢܫ̈ܐ ܘܥ̈ܠܝܡܐ ܘܝ̈ܠܘܕܐ ܡܢ ܓܘ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܕܠܐ ܬܫܒܩܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܚܪܬܐ

“Therefore now Yahweh, the God of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Why do you commit great evil against your own souls, to cut off from yourselves man and woman, infant and nursing child out of the middle of Judah, to leave yourselves no one remaining,

ܡܛܠ ܕܐܪܓܙܬܘܢܢܝ ܒܥܒܕ ܐ̈ܝܕܝܟܘܢ ܘܣܡܬܘܢ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܠܐ̈ܠܗܐ ܐܚܪ̈ܢܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܕܥܠܬܘܢ ܠܡܥܡܪ ܬܡܢ ܕܐܘܒܕܟܘܢ ܘܬܗܘܘܢ ܠܠܘܛܬܐ ܘܠܚܣܕܐ ܒܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ

in that you provoke me to anger with the works of your hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt where you have gone to live, that you may be cut off, and that you may be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

ܠܡܐ ܛܥܝܬܘܢ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܕܐ̈ܒܗܝܟܘܢ ܘܒܝܫܬܐ ܕܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܒܝܫܬܐ ܕܢܫ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܕܥܒܕܘ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܒܫ̈ܘܩܝܗ ܕܐܘܪܫܠܡ
lm' Teythwn byshth' d'bhykwn wbyshth' dmlk' dyhwd' wbyshth' dnshyhwn debdw b're' dyhwd' wbshwqyh d'wrshlm
Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, the wickedness of the kings of Judah, the wickedness of their wives, your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

ܘܠܐ ܐܬܕܟܝܘ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ ܘܠܐ ܕܚܠܘ ܘܠܐ ܦܠܚܘܢܝ ܘܠܐ ܗܠܟܘ ܒܢܡܘܣܝ ܘܒܩܝܡܝ ܕܝܗܒܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܠܐ̈ܒܗܝܗܘܢ
wl' 'thdkyw edm' lywmn' wl' dkhlw wl' plkhwny wl' hlkw bnmwsy wbqymy dyhbth lhwn wl'bhyhwn
They are not humbled even to this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.’

ܡܛܘܠ ܗܢܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܗܐ ܣܐܡ ܐܢܐ ܐ̈ܦܝ ܒܟܘܢ ܠܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܠܡܘܒܕܘ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܕܒܝܬ ܝܗܘܕܐ

“Therefore Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, even to cut off all Judah.

ܘܐܬܒܪ ܫܪܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܕܣܡܘ ܐ̈ܦܝܗܘܢ ܠܡܥܠ ܠܡܨܪܝܢ ܠܡܥܡܪ ܬܡܢ ܢܣܘܦܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܢܡܘܬܘܢ ܒܚܪܒܐ ܘܒܟܦܢܐ ܘܒܡܘܬܢܐ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܠܡ̈ܘܡܬܐ ܘܠܬܡܗܐ ܘܠܠܘܛܬܐ ܘܠܚܣܕܐ
w'thbr shrk' dyhwd' dsmw 'pyhwn lmel lmtsryn lmemr thmn nswpwn klhwn b're' dmtsryn wnmwthwn bkhrb' wbkpn' wbmwthn' wnhwwn lmwmth' wlthmh' wllwTth' wlkhsd'
I will take the remnant of Judah that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to live there, and they will all be consumed. They will fall in the land of Egypt. They will be consumed by the sword and by the famine. They will die, from the least even to the greatest, by the sword and by the famine. They will be an object of horror, an astonishment, a curse, and a reproach.

ܘܐܦܩܘܕ ܥܠ ܕܝܬܒܝܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܦܩܕܬ ܥܠ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܒܚܪܒܐ ܘܒܟܦܢܐ ܘܒܡܘܬܢܐ
w'pqwd el dythbyn b're' dmtsryn 'yk dpqdth el 'wrshlm bkhrb' wbkpn' wbmwthn'
For I will punish those who dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence;

ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܦܠܝܛܐ ܘܣܪܝܕܐ ܠܫܪܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܕܥܐܠܝܢ ܠܡܥܡܪ ܬܡܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܠܡܗܦܟ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܕܗܢܘܢ ܣܒܪܝܢ ܒܢܦܫܗܘܢ ܠܡܗܦܟ ܠܬܡܢ ܠܐ ܢܗܦܟܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܙܥܘܪ̈ܐ
wl' nhw' lhwn plyT' wsryd' lshrk' dyhwd' de'lyn lmemr thmn b're' dmtsryn wlmhpk l're' dyhwd' dhnwn sbryn bnpshhwn lmhpk lthmn l' nhpkwn 'l' 'n zewr'
so that none of the remnant of Judah, who have gone into the land of Egypt to live there, will escape or be left to return into the land of Judah, to which they have a desire to return to dwell there; for no one will return except those who will escape.’”

ܘܥܢܘ ܘܐܡܪܘ ܠܐܪܡܝܐ ܟܠ ܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܕܝܕܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܕܣ̈ܝܡܢ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܢܫ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܠܐ̈ܠܗܐ ܐܚܪ̈ܢܐ ܘܟܠܗܝܢ ܢܫ̈ܐ ܕܩܝ̈ܡܢ ܟܢܫܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܕܝܬܒܝܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܒܦܬܪܘܣ ܘܐܡܪܘ ܠܗ

Then all the men who knew that their wives burned incense to other gods, and all the women who stood by, a great assembly, even all the people who lived in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,

ܦܬܓܡܐ ܕܐܡܪܬ ܠܢ ܒܫܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܐ ܫܡܥܝܢ ܚܢܢ ܠܟ

“As for the word that you have spoken to us in Yahweh’s name, we will not listen to you.

ܐܠܐ ܥܒܕܝܢܢ ܟܘܠ ܦܬܓܡܐ ܕܢܦܩ ܡܢ ܦܘܡܢ ܠܡܣܡ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܠܦܘܠܚܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܠܡܢܩܝܘ ܠܗ ܢܘܩ̈ܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܥܒܕܢ ܚܢܢ ܘܐ̈ܒܗܝܢ ܘܡ̈ܠܟܝܢ ܘܪ̈ܘܪܒܢܝܢ ܒܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܒܫ̈ܘܩܝܗ̇ ܕܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܣܒܥܝܢ ܗ̈ܘܝܢ ܠܚܡܐ ܘܛܒ ܗܘܐ ܠܢ ܘܒܝܫܬܐ ܠܐ ܚܙܝܢ
'l' ebdynn kwl pthgm' dnpq mn pwmn lmsm bsm' lpwlkhn shmy' wlmnqyw lh nwqy' 'yk debdn khnn w'bhyn wmlkyn wrwrbnyn bqwry' dyhwd' wbshwqyh d'wrshlm wsbeyn hwyn lkhm' wTb hw' ln wbyshth' l' khzyn
But we will certainly perform every word that has gone out of our mouth, to burn incense to the queen of the sky and to pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of food, and were well, and saw no evil.

ܘܗܐ ܡܢ ܕܦܫܢ ܡܢ ܕܠܡܣܡ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܠܦܘܠܚܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܠܡܢܩܝܘ ܠܗ̇ ܢܘܩ̈ܝܐ ܚܣܪ ܠܢ ܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܘܒܚܪܒܐ ܘܒܟܦܢܐ ܣܦܢ
wh' mn dpshn mn dlmsm bsm' lpwlkhn shmy' wlmnqyw lh nwqy' khsr ln kl mdm wbkhrb' wbkpn' spn
But since we stopped burning incense to the queen of the sky, and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.”

ܘܥܢ̈ܝ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܢܫ̈ܐ ܘܐܡܪ̈ܢ ܟܕ ܚܢܢ ܣܝ̈ܡܢ ܗ̈ܘܝܢ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܠܡܠܟܬ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܡܢ̈ܩܝܢ ܗ̈ܘܝܢ ܠܗ̇ ܢܘܩ̈ܝܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܠܥܕ ܡܢ ܓܒܪܝܢ ܥܒܕܢ ܠܗ̇ ܙܘܬܪ̈ܐ ܘܢܩܝܢ ܠܗ̇ ܢܘܩ̈ܝܐ

The women said, “When we burned incense to the queen of the sky and poured out drink offerings to her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings to her, without our husbands?”

ܘܐܡܪ ܐܪܡܝܐ ܠܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܠܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܘܠܢܫ̈ܐ ܘܠܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܕܐܡܪܘ ܠܗ ܡ̈ܠܐ ܗܠܝܢ

Then Jeremiah said to all the people—to the men and to the women, even to all the people who had given him an answer, saying,

ܗ̇ܘ ܥܛܪܐ ܕܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܕܣܡܬܘܢ ܒܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܒ̈ܫܘܩܝܗ̇ ܕܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܐ̈ܒܗܝܟܘܢ ܘܡ̈ܠܟܝܟܘܢ ܘܪ̈ܘܪܒܢܝܟܘܢ ܘܥܡܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܠܗ ܗܘ ܐܬܕܟܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܣܠܩ ܥܠ ܠܒܗ

“The incense that you burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, you and your fathers, your kings and your princes, and the people of the land, didn’t Yahweh remember them, and didn’t it come into his mind?

ܘܠܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܬܘܒ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܫܒܩ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܒܝܫܘܬܐ ܕܥܒ̈ܕܝܟܘܢ ܘܡܛܠ ܛܢܦܘܬܐ ܕܥܒܕܬܘܢ ܘܗܘܬ ܐܪܥܟܘܢ ܠܬܡܗܐ ܘܠܠܘܛܬܐ ܘܠܚܘܪܒܐ ܡܢ ܒܠܝ ܕܝܬܒ ܐܝܟ ܕܝܘܡܢܐ

Thus Yahweh could no longer bear it, because of the evil of your doings and because of the abominations which you have committed. Therefore your land has become a desolation, an astonishment, and a curse, without inhabitant, as it is today.

ܥܠ ܕܣܡܬܘܢ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܘܚܛܝܬܘܢ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܫܡܥܬܘܢ ܒܩܠܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܒܢܡܘܣܗ ܘܒܩܝܡܗ ܘܒܣ̈ܗܕܘܬܗ ܠܐ ܗܠܟܬܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܕܪܟܬܟܘܢ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܝܘܡܢܐ
el dsmthwn bsm' wkhTythwn lmry' wl' shmethwn bqlh dmry' wbnmwsh wbqymh wbshdwthh l' hlkthwn mTl hn' 'drkthkwn byshth' hd' 'yk dywmn'
Because you have burned incense and because you have sinned against Yahweh, and have not obeyed Yahweh’s voice, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil has happened to you, as it is today.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܐܪܡܝܐ ܠܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܠܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܘܠܢܫ̈ܐ ܫܡܥܘ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܟܠܗ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܕܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ

Moreover Jeremiah said to all the people, including all the women, “Hear Yahweh’s word, all Judah who are in the land of Egypt!

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܢܫ̈ܝܟܘܢ ܐܡܪܬܘܢ ܒܦܘܡܟܘܢ ܘܒܐ̈ܝܕܝܟܘܢ ܫܠܡܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܐܡܪܬܘܢ ܢܫ̈ܪ ܢܕܪ̈ܝܢ ܕܢܕܪܢ ܠܡܣܡ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܠܦܘܠܚܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܠܡܢܩܝܘ ܠܗ̇ ܢܘܩ̈ܝܐ ܐܫܪܬܘܢ ܡܘܡ̈ܬܟܘܢ ܘܥܒܕܬܘܢ ܢܕܪ̈ܝܟܘܢ

Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says, ‘You and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and with your hands have fulfilled it, saying, “We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to her.” “‘Establish then your vows, and perform your vows.’

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܫܡܥܘ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܟܠܗ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܕܝܬܒܝܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܝܡܝܬ ܒܫܡܝ ܪܒܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܬܘܒ ܫܡܝ ܒܦܘܡܗܘܢ ܕܒܝܬ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܕܒܟܠܗ̇ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܚܝ ܗܘ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܐ

“Therefore hear Yahweh’s word, all Judah who dwell in the land of Egypt: ‘Behold, I have sworn by my great name,’ says Yahweh, ‘that my name will no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, “As the Lord Yahweh lives.”

ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܣܪܗܒ ܐܢܐ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܢܣܘܦܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܕܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܒܚܪܒܐ ܘܒܟܦܢܐ ܘܒܡܘܬܢܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܐܓܡܪ ܐܢܘܢ
'n' gyr msrhb 'n' elyhwn byshth' 'mr mry' wnswpwn klhwn gbr' dyhwd' db're' dmtsryn bkhrb' wbkpn' wbmwthn' edm' d'gmr 'nwn
Behold, I watch over them for evil, and not for good; and all the men of Judah who are in the land of Egypt will be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until they are all gone.

ܘܦ̈ܠܝܛܝ ܚܪܒܐ ܢܗܦܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܩܠܝܠ ܒܡܢܝܢܐ ܘܢܕܥܘܢ ܟܠܗ ܫܪܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܕܐܙܠܘ ܠܡܥܡܪ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܦܬܓܡܐ ܕܡ̇ܢ ܢܫܪ ܕܝܠܝ ܐܘ ܕܝܠܗܘܢ

Those who escape the sword will return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah few in number. All the remnant of Judah, who have gone into the land of Egypt to live there, will know whose word will stand, mine or theirs.

“‘This will be the sign to you,’ says Yahweh, ‘that I will punish you in this place, that you may know that my words will surely stand against you for evil.’

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܗܐ ܡܫܠܡ ܐܢܐ ܠܗ ܠܦܪܥܘܢ ܚܓܝܪܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܘܗܝ ܘܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܥܝܢ ܢܦܫܗ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܫܠܡܬ ܠܨܕܩܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܢܒܘܟܕܢܨܪ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܒܒܠ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܗ ܘܒܥܐ ܢܦܫܗ

Yahweh says, ‘Behold, I will give Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies and into the hand of those who seek his life, just as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, who was his enemy and sought his life.’”
