והוה כד שיצי ירמיה למללא עם כל עמא ית כל פתגמיא דיי אלההון דשלחיה יי אלההון לותהון ית כל פתגמיא האלין:
halyn pthgmya kl yth lwthhwn alhhwn yy dshlkhyh alhhwn dyy pthgmya kl yth ema kl em lmlla yrmyh shytsy kd whwh
When Jeremiah had finished speaking to all the people all the words of Yahweh their God, with which Yahweh their God had sent him to them, even all these words,

ואמר עזריה בר הושעיה ויוחנן בר קרח וכל גבריא רשיעיא אמרין לירמיה שקרא את מתנבי לא שלחך יי אלהנא למימר לא תעלון למצרים לאתותבא תמן:
thmn lathwthba lmtsrym thelwn la lmymr alhna yy shlkhk la mthnby ath shqra lyrmyh amryn rshyeya gbrya wkl qrkh br wywkhnn hwsheyh br ezryh wamr
then Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men spoke, saying to Jeremiah, “You speak falsely. Yahweh our God has not sent you to say, ‘You shall not go into Egypt to live there;’

ארי ברוך בר נריה מגרי יתך בנא בדיל לממסר יתנא בידא דכסדאי למקטל יתנא ולאגלאה יתנא לבבל:
lbbl ythna wlaglah ythna lmqTl dksday byda ythna lmmsr bdyl bna ythk mgry nryh br brwk ary
but Baruch the son of Neriah has turned you against us, to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they may put us to death or carry us away captive to Babylon.”

ולא קביל יוחנן בר קרח וכל רבני חילותא וכל עמא למימרא דיי למתב בארעא דבית יהודה:
yhwdh dbyth barea lmthb dyy lmymra ema wkl khylwtha rbny wkl qrkh br ywkhnn qbyl wla
So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, didn’t obey Yahweh’s voice, to dwell in the land of Judah.

ודבר יוחנן בר קרח וכל רבני חילותא ית כל שארא דבית יהודה דתבו מכל עממיא דאתבדרו לתמן לאתותבא בארעא דבית יהודה:
yhwdh dbyth barea lathwthba lthmn dathbdrw emmya mkl dthbw yhwdh dbyth shara kl yth khylwtha rbny wkl qrkh br ywkhnn wdbr
But Johanan the son of Kareah and all the captains of the forces took all the remnant of Judah, who had returned from all the nations where they had been driven, to live in the land of Judah—

ית גבריא וית נשיא וית טפלא וית בנת מלכא וית כל נפשתא די שבק נבוזראדן רב קטוליא על גדליה בר אחיקם בר שפן וית ירמיה נביא וית ברוך בר נריה:
nryh br brwk wyth nbya yrmyh wyth shpn br akhyqm br gdlyh el qTwlya rb nbwzradn shbq dy npshtha kl wyth mlka bnth wyth Tpla wyth nshya wyth gbrya yth
the men, the women, the children, the king’s daughters, and every person who Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan; and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah.

ואתו לארעא דמצרים ארי לא קבילו למימרא דיי ואתו עד תחפנחס:
thkhpnkhs ed wathw dyy lmymra qbylw la ary dmtsrym larea wathw
They came into the land of Egypt, for they didn’t obey Yahweh’s voice; and they came to Tahpanhes.

והוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עם ירמיה בתחפנחס למימר:
lmymr bthkhpnkhs yrmyh em yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm whwh
Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,

סב עמך אבנין רברבן ותטמרינון בטפיל בנינא די בתרע בית פרעה בתחפנחס לעיני גברין יהודאין:
yhwdayn gbryn leyny bthkhpnkhs preh byth bthre dy bnyna bTpyl wthTmrynwn rbrbn abnyn emk sb
“Take great stones in your hand and hide them in mortar in the brick work which is at the entry of Pharaoh’s house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah.

ותימר להון כדנן אמר יי צבאות אלהא דישראל הא אנא שלח ואדבר ית נבוכדראצר מלכא דבבל עבדי ואשוי ית כורסוהי עיל מן אבניא האלין דטמרית ויגוד ית אפדניה עליהון:
elyhwn apdnyh yth wygwd dTmryth halyn abnya mn eyl kwrswhy yth washwy ebdy dbbl mlka nbwkdratsr yth wadbr shlkh ana ha dyshral alha tsbawth yy amr kdnn lhwn wthymr
Tell them, Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne on these stones that I have hidden; and he will spread his royal pavilion over them.

וייתי ויקטל ית ארעא דמצרים די למותא למותא ודי לשביא לשביא ודי לחרבא לחרבא:
lkhrba lkhrba wdy lshbya lshbya wdy lmwtha lmwtha dy dmtsrym area yth wyqTl wyythy
He will come, and will strike the land of Egypt; such as are for death will be put to death, and such as are for captivity to captivity, and such as are for the sword to the sword.

ואדליק אשתא בבתי טעות מצראי ויוקדינון וישבינון וירוקין ית ארעא דמצרים כמא דמתעטיף רעיא ית לבושיה ויפוק מתמן בשלם:
bshlm mthmn wypwq lbwshyh yth reya dmtheTyp kma dmtsrym area yth wyrwqyn wyshbynwn wywqdynwn mtsray Tewth bbthy ashtha wadlyq
I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt. He will burn them, and carry them away captive. He will array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd puts on his garment; and he will go out from there in peace.
