והוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עם ירמיה תנינות והוא עוד כען כלי בדרת בית אסיריא למימר:
lmymr asyrya byth bdrth kly ken ewd whwa thnynwth yrmyh em yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm whwh
Moreover Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was still locked up in the court of the guard, saying,

כדנן אמר יי דעבדה יי ברא יתה לאתקנותה יי שמיה:
shmyh yy lathqnwthh ythh bra yy debdh yy amr kdnn
“Yahweh who does it, Yahweh who forms it to establish it—Yahweh is his name, says:

צלי קדמי ואקבל צלותך ואחוי לך רברבן ונטירן דלא ידעתינון:
ydethynwn dla wnTyrn rbrbn lk wakhwy tslwthk waqbl qdmy tsly
‘Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know.’

ארי כדנן אמר יי אלהא דישראל על בתי קרתא הדא ועל בתי מלכיא דבית יהודה דמתרעין להון וצברין מליתא לתקפא שורא מן קדם דקטלין בחרבא:
bkhrba dqTlyn qdm mn shwra lthqpa mlytha wtsbryn lhwn dmthreyn yhwdh dbyth mlkya bthy wel hda qrtha bthy el dyshral alha yy amr kdnn ary
For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says concerning the houses of this city and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down to make a defense against the mounds and against the sword:

אתן לאגחא קרבא עם כסדאי ולמליותהון ית פגרי בני אנשא דאלקיתי ברוגזי ובחימתי ודסלקית שכנתי מן קרתא הדא על כל בישתהון:
byshthhwn kl el hda qrtha mn shknthy wdslqyth wbkhymthy brwgzy dalqythy ansha bny pgry yth wlmlywthhwn ksday em qrba lagkha athn
‘While men come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have killed in my anger and in my wrath, and for all whose wickedness I have hidden my face from this city,

הא אנא מיתי להון אסו ופורקן ואסינון ואגלי להון תרע תיובא ואחוינון דיהכון באורח שלם וקשוט:
wqshwT shlm bawrkh dyhkwn wakhwynwn thywba thre lhwn wagly wasynwn wpwrqn asw lhwn mythy ana ha
behold, I will bring it health and healing, and I will cure them; and I will reveal to them abundance of peace and truth.

ואתיב ית גלות יהודה וית גלות ישראל ואקימינון כדבקדמיתא:
kdbqdmytha waqymynwn yshral glwth wyth yhwdh glwth yth wathyb
I will restore the fortunes of Judah and Israel, and will build them as at the first.

ואדכינון מכל חוביהון דחבו קדמי ואשבוק לכל חוביהון דחבו קדמי ודמרדו במימרי:
bmymry wdmrdw qdmy dkhbw khwbyhwn lkl washbwq qdmy dkhbw khwbyhwn mkl wadkynwn
I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against me. I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against me and by which they have transgressed against me.

ויהון קדמי לשום דחדוא לתושבחא וליקר לכל עממי ארעא די ישמעון ית כל טבתא די אנא עביד עמהון ויזועון וידחלון על כל טבתא ועל כל שלמא דאנא עביד להון:
lhwn ebyd dana shlma kl wel Tbtha kl el wydkhlwn wyzwewn emhwn ebyd ana dy Tbtha kl yth yshmewn dy area emmy lkl wlyqr lthwshbkha dkhdwa lshwm qdmy wyhwn
This city will be to me for a name of joy, for praise, and for glory, before all the nations of the earth, which will hear all the good that I do to them, and will fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I provide to it.’”

כדנן אמר יי עוד ישתמע באתרא הדין דאתון אמרין חרוב הוא מבלי אנשא ומבלי בעירא בקרויא דבית יהודה ובשוקי ירושלם דצדין מבלי אנשא ומבלי יתיב ומבלי בעירא:
beyra wmbly ythyb wmbly ansha mbly dtsdyn yrwshlm wbshwqy yhwdh dbyth bqrwya beyra wmbly ansha mbly hwa khrwb amryn dathwn hdyn bathra yshthme ewd yy amr kdnn
Yahweh says: “Yet again there will be heard in this place, about which you say, ‘It is waste, without man and without animal, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without animal,’

קל ביע וקל חדוה קל חתנין וקל כלן קל דאמרין אודו קדם יי צבאות ארי טב יי ארי לעלמא טיבותיה מעלי תודתא לבית מקדשא דיי ארי אתיב ית גלות ארעא כדבקדמתא אמר יי:
yy amr kdbqdmtha area glwth yth athyb ary dyy mqdsha lbyth thwdtha mely Tybwthyh lelma ary yy Tb ary tsbawth yy qdm awdw damryn ql kln wql khthnyn ql khdwh wql bye ql
the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, ‘Give thanks to Yahweh of Armies, for Yahweh is good, for his loving kindness endures forever;’ who bring thanksgiving into Yahweh’s house. For I will cause the captivity of the land to be reversed as at the first,” says Yahweh.

כדנן אמר יי צבאות עוד יהי באתרא הדין דחרוב מבלי אנשא ומבלי בעירא וכל קרויהון דירות בית מישרי רעין וחוטרין דען:
den wkhwTryn reyn myshry byth dyrwth qrwyhwn wkl beyra wmbly ansha mbly dkhrwb hdyn bathra yhy ewd tsbawth yy amr kdnn
Yahweh of Armies says: “Yet again there will be in this place, which is waste, without man and without animal, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

בקרוי טורא בקרוי שפלתא ובקרוי דרומא ובארע שבט בנימן ובסחרני ירושלם ובקרויא דבית יהודה עוד יתנה עמא על ידי משיחא אמר יי:
yy amr mshykha ydy el ema ythnh ewd yhwdh dbyth wbqrwya yrwshlm wbskhrny bnymn shbT wbare drwma wbqrwy shpltha bqrwy Twra bqrwy
In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the South, in the land of Benjamin, in the places around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again pass under the hands of him who counts them,” says Yahweh.

הא יומיא אתן אמר יי ואקים ית פתגמא תקנא דמלילית על בית ישראל ועל בית יהודה:
yhwdh byth wel yshral byth el dmlylyth thqna pthgma yth waqym yy amr athn ywmya ha
“Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.

ביומיא האינון ובעדנא ההיא אקים לדוד משיח דצדקא ויעביד דין וקשוט וזכו בארעא:
barea wzkw wqshwT dyn wyebyd dtsdqa mshykh ldwd aqym hhya wbedna haynwn bywmya
“In those days and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David. He will execute justice and righteousness in the land.

ביומיא האינון יתפרקן דבית יהודה וירושלם תשרי לרוחצן ודין שמה דיהון קרן לה יתעבדן לנא זכון מן קדם יי בגוה:
bgwh yy qdm mn zkwn lna ythebdn lh qrn dyhwn shmh wdyn lrwkhtsn thshry wyrwshlm yhwdh dbyth ythprqn haynwn bywmya
In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will dwell safely. This is the name by which she will be called: Yahweh our righteousness.”

ארי כדנן אמר יי לא יפסוק לדוד גבר יתיב על כורסי מלכותא דבית ישראל:
yshral dbyth mlkwtha kwrsy el ythyb gbr ldwd ypswq la yy amr kdnn ary
For Yahweh says: “David will never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel.

ולכהניא ליואי לא יפסוק גבר מן קדמי מסיק עלון ומקריב קורבן ועביד נכסת קודשין כל יומיא:
ywmya kl qwdshyn nksth webyd qwrbn wmqryb elwn msyq qdmy mn gbr ypswq la lyway wlkhnya
The Levitical priests won’t lack a man before me to offer burnt offerings, to burn meal offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.”

והוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עם ירמיה למימר:
lmymr yrmyh em yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm whwh
Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,

כדנן אמר יי כמא דלית אפשר דיבטיל קימי דאקימית עם יממא ועם ליליא ובדיל דלא למהוי יימם ולילי בעדנהון:
bednhwn wlyly yymm lmhwy dla wbdyl lylya wem ymma em daqymyth qymy dybTyl apshr dlyth kma yy amr kdnn
“Yahweh says: ‘If you can break my covenant of the day and my covenant of the night, so that there will not be day and night in their time,

אף קימי לא יבטיל דאקימית עם דוד עבדי מלמהוי ליה בר מליך על כורסיה וית לואי כהניא דמשמשין קדמי:
qdmy dmshmshyn khnya lway wyth kwrsyh el mlyk br lyh mlmhwy ebdy dwd em daqymyth ybTyl la qymy ap
then my covenant could also be broken with David my servant, that he won’t have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levitical priests, my ministers.

כמה דלית אפשר דיתמנון חילי שמיא ולא יתכיל חלא דימא כן אסגי ית זרעא דוד עבדי וית לואי דמשמשין קדמי:
qdmy dmshmshyn lway wyth ebdy dwd zrea yth asgy kn dyma khla ythkyl wla shmya khyly dythmnwn apshr dlyth kmh
As the army of the sky can’t be counted, and the sand of the sea can’t be measured, so I will multiply the offspring of David my servant and the Levites who minister to me.’”

והוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עם ירמיה למימר:
lmymr yrmyh em yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm whwh
Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,

הלא חזיתא מא עמא הדין ממללי למימר תרתין זרעיתא דאתרעי יי בהון ורחיקינון וית עמי מרגזין מלמהוי עוד עם משמש קדמי כקבליהון:
kqblyhwn qdmy mshmsh em ewd mlmhwy mrgzyn emy wyth wrkhyqynwn bhwn yy dathrey zreytha thrthyn lmymr mmlly hdyn ema ma khzytha hla
“Don’t consider what this people has spoken, saying, ‘Has Yahweh cast off the two families which he chose?’ Thus they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.”

כדנן אמר יי כמא דלית אפשר דיבטיל קימי דאקימית עם יממא ועם ליליא כן גזירת שמיא וארעא לא שויתון דיעדון:
dyedwn shwythwn la warea shmya gzyrth kn lylya wem ymma em daqymyth qymy dybTyl apshr dlyth kma yy amr kdnn
Yahweh says: “If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth,

אף זרעא דיעקב ודוד עבדי לא ארחיק מלקרבא מבניהון עבדין שולטן על זרעיה דאברהם יצחק ויעקב ארי אתיב ית גלותהון וארחם עליהון:
elyhwn warkhm glwthhwn yth athyb ary wyeqb ytskhq dabrhm zreyh el shwlTn ebdyn mbnyhwn mlqrba arkhyq la ebdy wdwd dyeqb zrea ap
then I will also cast away the offspring of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his offspring to be rulers over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; for I will cause their captivity to be reversed and will have mercy on them.”
