והוה בשתא ההיא בריש מלכות צדקיה מלך שבטא דבית יהודה בשתא רביעתא בירחא חמישאה אמר לי חנניה בר עזור נביא שקרא דמגבעון בבית מקדשא דיי לעיני כהניא וכל עמא למימר:
lmymr ema wkl khnya leyny dyy mqdsha bbyth dmgbewn shqra nbya ezwr br khnnyh ly amr khmyshah byrkha rbyetha bshtha yhwdh dbyth shbTa mlk tsdqyh mlkwth brysh hhya bshtha whwh
That same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spoke to me in Yahweh’s house, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,

כדנן אמר יי צבאות אלהא דישראל למימר תברית ית ניר מלכא דבבל:
dbbl mlka nyr yth thbryth lmymr dyshral alha tsbawth yy amr kdnn
“Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says, ‘I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

בסוף תרתין שנין אנא מתיב לאתרא הדין ית כל מני בית מקדשא דיי דשבא נבוכדנאצר מלכא דבבל מן אתרא הדין ואובלינון לבבל:
lbbl wawblynwn hdyn athra mn dbbl mlka nbwkdnatsr dshba dyy mqdsha byth mny kl yth hdyn lathra mthyb ana shnyn thrthyn bswp
Within two full years I will bring again into this place all the vessels of Yahweh’s house that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place and carried to Babylon.

וית שבטא דבית יהודה וית כל גלות יהודה דאתגליאו לבבל אנא מתיב לאתרא הדין אמר יי ארי אתבר ית ניר מלכא דבבל:
dbbl mlka nyr yth athbr ary yy amr hdyn lathra mthyb ana lbbl dathglyaw yhwdh glwth kl wyth yhwdh dbyth shbTa wyth
I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, who went to Babylon,’ says Yahweh; ‘for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.’”

ואמר ירמיה נביא לחנניה נביא שקרא לעיני כהניא ולעיני כל עמא דקימין בבית מקדשא דיי:
dyy mqdsha bbyth dqymyn ema kl wleyny khnya leyny shqra nbya lkhnnyh nbya yrmyh wamr
Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people who stood in Yahweh’s house,

ואמר ירמיה נביא אמן כן יהי רעוא מן קדם יי יקים יי ית פתגמך דאתנביתא לאתבא מנא בית מקדשא דיי וכל גלותא מבבל לאתרא הדין:
hdyn lathra mbbl glwtha wkl dyy mqdsha byth mna lathba dathnbytha pthgmk yth yy yqym yy qdm mn rewa yhy kn amn nbya yrmyh wamr
even the prophet Jeremiah said, “Amen! May Yahweh do so. May Yahweh perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of Yahweh’s house, and all those who are captives, from Babylon to this place.

ברם שמע כען פתגמא הדין די אנא ממליל קדמך וקדם כל עמא:
ema kl wqdm qdmk mmlyl ana dy hdyn pthgma ken shme brm
Nevertheless listen now to this word that I speak in your ears, and in the ears of all the people:

נבייא דהוו קדמי וקדמך מן עלמא ואתנביאו על מדינן סגיאין ועל מלכון רברבן לקרבא ולבישא ולמותא:
wlmwtha wlbysha lqrba rbrbn mlkwn wel sgyayn mdynn el wathnbyaw elma mn wqdmk qdmy dhww nbyya
The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, of evil, and of pestilence.

נביא דיתנבא לשלמא במיתי פתגם נביא יתידע נביא דשלחיה יי בקשוט:
bqshwT yy dshlkhyh nbya ythyde nbya pthgm bmythy lshlma dythnba nbya
As for the prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet happens, then the prophet will be known, that Yahweh has truly sent him.”

ונסיב חנניה נביא שקרא ית נירא מעל צור ירמיה נביא ותבריה:
wthbryh nbya yrmyh tswr mel nyra yth shqra nbya khnnyh wnsyb
Then Hananiah the prophet took the bar from off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck, and broke it.

ואמר חנניה לעיני כל עמא למימר כדנן אמר יי כדין אתבר ית ניר נבוכדנאצר מלכא דבבל בסוף תרתין שנין מעל צור כל עממיא ואזל ירמיה נביא לאורחיה:
lawrkhyh nbya yrmyh wazl emmya kl tswr mel shnyn thrthyn bswp dbbl mlka nbwkdnatsr nyr yth athbr kdyn yy amr kdnn lmymr ema kl leyny khnnyh wamr
Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, “Yahweh says: ‘Even so I will break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from off the neck of all the nations within two full years.’” Then the prophet Jeremiah went his way.

והוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עם ירמיה בתר דתבר חנניה נביא שקרא ית נירא מעל צור ירמיה נביא למימר:
lmymr nbya yrmyh tswr mel nyra yth shqra nbya khnnyh dthbr bthr yrmyh em yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm whwh
Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, after Hananiah the prophet had broken the bar from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,

אזיל ותימר לחנניה למימר כדנן אמר יי נירין דאע תברתא ותעביד חילופיהון נירין דברזל:
dbrzl nyryn khylwpyhwn wthebyd thbrtha dae nyryn yy amr kdnn lmymr lkhnnyh wthymr azyl
“Go, and tell Hananiah, saying, ‘Yahweh says, “You have broken the bars of wood, but you have made in their place bars of iron.”

ארי כדנן אמר יי צבאות אלהא דישראל ניר דברזל יהבית על צור כל עממיא האלין למפלח ית נבוכדנאצר מלכא דבבל ויפלחוניה ואף ית חיות ברא יהבית ליה:
lyh yhbyth bra khywth yth wap wyplkhwnyh dbbl mlka nbwkdnatsr yth lmplkh halyn emmya kl tswr el yhbyth dbrzl nyr dyshral alha tsbawth yy amr kdnn ary
For Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says, “I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they will serve him. I have also given him the animals of the field.”’”

ואמר ירמיה נביא לחנניה נביא שקרא שמע כען חנניה לא שלחך יי ואת ארחיצתא ית עמא הדין על שקרא:
shqra el hdyn ema yth arkhytstha wath yy shlkhk la khnnyh ken shme shqra nbya lkhnnyh nbya yrmyh wamr
Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, “Listen, Hananiah! Yahweh has not sent you, but you make this people trust in a lie.

בכן כדנן אמר יי הא אנא מגליך מעל אפי ארעא בשתא הדא את מאית ולשתא אוחרנתא את מתקבר ארי סטיא מלילתא קדם יי:
yy qdm mlyltha sTya ary mthqbr ath awkhrntha wlshtha mayth ath hda bshtha area apy mel mglyk ana ha yy amr kdnn bkn
Therefore Yahweh says, ‘Behold, I will send you away from off the surface of the earth. This year you will die, because you have spoken rebellion against Yahweh.’”
